The Antipope Fancast

AI’ve been reading Robert Rankin’s The Antipope, first in the Brentford Trilogy (ten books), and I thought I’d come up with a fancast for a possible movie/series.

I love how their line of work usually makes them exhibit a level of firmness as well as a level of care (because there is such a thing as BDSM Aftercare and judging from Irene’s gentleness immediately after drugging Sherlock, I bet she gives those too).

Sherlock Series Four

This is a little rushed and hard to understand but it makes sense eventually. I’ll go through e1 and e2 first but the main theory is with The Final Problem

The Six Thatchers:- This is literally just a filler episode in my opinion that explains how Mary died, but at the same time is just one huge lie that Sherlock is telling Ella. (Therapist) Please correct me on her name if I’m wrong.

I don’t think John shot Mary, but I believe that it was part of a plan. I believe that Mary had to die in order for everything to fall into place. I also thought that Mary worked for Moriarty which is why John could have shot her, but I don’t think that fits in, but who knows?

At the end we get told that Sherlock is having a recurring dream and is given a note from John, what does it sat? No one knows.

The Lying Detective:- So we know that Sherlock needs to save John, but from what? Let’s not dwell on that though, who cares? The rest of the story gives us the theory I wanna explain.

Sherlock is being strangled and is ‘overdosing’ when John barges in, we reveal the tape recordings and the confession. He then says it’s Saline (placebo) that he is being treated with. HOWEVER! At the start of the episode Molly tells us he has kidney faliure and he’s days away from dying, so why isn’t he taking some form of medication at the hospital?

We never actually see Sherlock leave the hospital. He doesn’t even get out of the bed. The next shot is of the confession tape being listened to ect. then we suddenly cut to John and Sherlock in the flat.

During this John gives Sherlock the speech of ‘you have to do it before they’re gone’. This is not real!

Sherlock is now in a coma, due to the drug use and is dreaming of John telling him this, this is him trying to tell himself to wake up and tell John how he feels, before it’s too late for him. He knows he’s going to die, but he doesn’t want to die befor he tells John he loves him.

Anyways, this leads us to the events of episode three. THE FINAL PROBLEM! And this is where the theory falls into place.

Sherlock is still in the coma, and he’s having the reoccuring dream. The dream in which he is in danger and everyone else is in danger. He knows Moriarty is dead and therefore dreams up someone new. Moriarty died in his mind palace during TAB and therefore he can’t be alive still.

This is Eurus. Eurus is Jim, smarter than Sherlock. Psychotic. Sherlock is terrified of them. Mycroft is scared of them. Obsessed with him. The perfect mirror for Jim Moriarty. Only Sherlock has already admitted he and Jim are the same, this is the link of the siblings! They can’t be the same person but they are the same, siblings is the only way they’re gonna get that, without being twins. Sherlock knows they’re not that similar though.

Sherrinford, is supposed to be his older brother according to the books, and is supposed to be more intelligent that Sherlock and Mycroft. So it would make sense to symbolise him as the asylum. The four walls that keep the family safe and look after them. Sherlock trusts Sherrinford and therefore has imprisoned ‘Moriarty’/Eurus within him, knowing Sherrinford would keep him safe. Protect him from them.

He can’t protect John though, and therefore the game begins. Because of how alike Jim and Eurus are, he makes a story up that they met. The whole game is something Jim would come up with though, Eurus might be able to ‘re programme’ people but Jim was just as intelligent.

I refuse to believe it was Eurus in Jim’s head. It had to be Jim inside Eurus’. He’s the only one who would have thought up the pathetic codes. ‘Darth Vader’ ‘Big red bouncing’ and he could have easily broken the system. The Reichenbach Fall proved that.

The security take over was Sherlock remembering it.

I don’t have a theory on Redbeard yet, but I’ll work it out soon.

But this is it. The Final Problem is do we live or do we die? The whole episode is fake, which would explain the huge plot holes, the happy ending that’s sort of rushed, and Greg telling him he was a good man. As well as getting his name right. It’s Sherlock creating the perfect life for himself before he dies, because he doesn’t want to die alone. He wants one more miracle. For John. One more adventure. So he made one up.

However knowing he won’t get to say I love you to John before he dies, he dreams up that they raise Rosie together. The perfect family, because that’s all he wants. Love.

The fact that people are sending Amanda Abbington death threats is absurd. I thought the our humble Sherlock fandom was intellectual, but I guess every fandom has a bad side :/ I for one love the woman, love her character, and fully support Amanda Abbington. I can't wait see what else she has up her sleeve!
