Norman Saunder’s art

I enjoy the variety of styles in his work, particularly the space illustrations. However, I'm not a fan of the old-looking retro style, and I don't really like the realistic look either. I prefer a more cartoonish style.

Amanda visell’s art

I really enjoy the "child storybook" art style because it's very cute and simplistic.

Junko Mizuno’s art

I really like Junko Mizuno's art for its stylized and distinctive look. I also love how most of her characters have pale blue skin, as it reminds me of mystical sea creatures, frog people, or even aliens. Additionally, I admire how well the colors work together.

I liked this piece of work by Amanda Visell because it takes two animals and personifies them by giving them objects to hold such as a pickaxe and a detonator which makes them seem like they are humans

Here is my review paper for the artists Norman Saunders, Junko Mizuno and Amanda Visell. In this page I review my opinions on the style, design, colour palettes, aesthetic and how I believe they were made. As well as what things they remind me of, for example, how Amanda’s work reminds me of Laika’s stop motion movies such as coralline and Kubo and the two strings.

Research: Amanda Visell

One of the artists we are researching is Amanda Visell. I found her on instagram and while most of her recent posts are real life related, there's still many with her artwork.

These pieces I found when googling her name and from her style I like these ones the most. They have a story and lighting and I enjoy all the characters in one artwork. I generally don't like cutesy styles that remind me of childrens books, but her style is very unique and I like the detail she puts on the characters.
