I’ve wanted a 90s Pleasant Company doll for all the 90s outfits I’ve collected, and since I didn’t have an Asian face mold yet, JLY 4 was high on my wishlist. Her name is going to be Ayako.

She’s one of the hardest to find and is usually very pricey, so I spent some time comparing listings. All of the dolls I’ve bought secondhand recently have arrived in worse condition than listed, and Ayako was no exception. Her limbs are quite loose and have smudges, but at least her face and hair are clean.

She is dressed in the 1998 lawn party/birthday outfit, which I absolutely love because my mom dressed me in a lot of fruit patterns during this era. Since Ayako will be my 90s doll, Lindsey will be wearing only 00s outfits from now on. (The exception will be for the holidays).
