That plan Noah came up with? A success. They miraculously managed to trick their parents into thinking they were dating when, in fact, they were not. And it was nothing short of a miracle given how slightly awkward they were around each other during that Christmas party her parents invited him and his parents to, but all is well. Or so she thought. They were still the best of friends, but even clueless Charlotte could tell a small something had changed in their friendship since that party –hopefully a romantic turn– They were both in the library studying for their respective upcoming semester finals and yet, something else was dancing in her mind. Something far more interesting than boring econometric analysis; Noah and potentially asking him on a date. Unsure gaze going from her book to him. Back and forth as her finger tapped on the wooden table until she finally reached for a small sticky note and wrote in her cursive and neat handwriting before sliding the note across the table to his book.

“Are you... free on the 14th? You know... next month.”

She assumed a note would be easier for her than saying it out loud.

"thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!

do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!
