PIXAL and Zane were busy in the Samurai X cave, located deep beneath the Sea of Sand. They had retreated to Nya’s old hideout after their underground hangar bay became buried in the rubble of the Monestary of Spinjitzu during the assault of the Crystal King

Filled with computers, vehicles, and parts to build mechs, PIXAL had found the alternate space to be very useful. In the weeks since the ninja had lost their elemental powers, the android had dedicated herself to finding a way to help Zane restore his power of Ice.

Zane’s journey to become the Titanium Ninja contained many twists and turns. This extraordinary Nindroid was created by the brillian Dr. Julien and then given the power of Ice from the Elemental Ice Master. Yet, before he passed away, Dr. Julien, had turned off Zane’s memory switch. Believing, he was just an ordinary boy, Master Wu took in the nindroid and trained him to be a ninja alongside Kai, Cole, and Jay.

Zane regained the memory of who he was, but as the ninja faced ever-growing challenges, his memories came and went. He was nearly destroyed during a battle with the Overlord, and then reborn again as the Titanium Ninja. PIXAL had helped him regain his memories then.

Later, when Zane had used the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu to try and stop Aspheera, he became stranded in the Never-Realm. The evil General Vex had found him and erased his memories, manipulating him so that he became the cruel Ice Emperor. Then Lloyd had helped Zane regain his true identity. And recently, when the Crystal King had set his forces on Ninjago, Zane had crashed his mech and damaged his memory circuit. He reverted back to his Ice Emperor programming (programming???), and this time, it took the brilliant engineer Cyrus Borg to repair him.

PIXAL believed that the key to Zane’s recovering of is power of Ice was connected to exploring these fractured memories.

“We must look for clues,” she had said, “And I believe those clues can be found within you.”

Zane had complete trust in his android friend (friend zoned??? PIXANE??? Noooooo), because PIXAL understood him better than anyone else. But the idea of exploring his memories made him uneasy. Some lost memories felt like an ache deep within him. And he would rather not think about some of the things he could remember.

He twitched nervously in his chair as PIXAL inserted a sensor into a port in the back of his head.

“These sensors are critical to your journey,” she explained in her calm, steady voice. “They will immerse you in your memories so you can experience them as though you are actually there.” Zane twitched again. “And the others in the memory will be able to see or hear me?”

“No,” PIXAL replied, “You will be an observer only. Now keep still.”

She stepped in front of him and moved to the bank of computer screens. They cast a blue glow on her silver hair and the purple conduit lines on her face.

“It will be interesting to see if this technology can restore your Elemental Powers,” she remarked as she entered a code into the system, “I am working on a way to adapt the tech to work with biological memory banks, perhaps helping the other ninja regain their powers.”

“I am sure they are all searching for a way to unlock their True Potential again,” Zane replied, “Although it is rather odd that I have not heard from any of them.”

PIXAL spun around in her chair and fixed her green eyes on Zane.

“For this first session, I will bring you out of the program in four minutes and thirty seconds,” she said, “If something goes wrong, or you want to leave the memory, just say something.”

“If something goes wrong…,” he thought. An image of the Ice Emperor’s face, cold and fierce, flashed through his mind

“Understood,” Zane replied.

“Are you ready?” PIXAL asked.

“Ready.”

PIXAL turned back to the computer, “Initiating memory exploration in three… two… one!”

Un unconventional band of heroes, The Doom Patrol were composed of individuals the world often saw as freaks and misfits.  Each had been the victim of strange and tragic happenstance, drastically altering their lives as well as bestowing them fantastic powers.  

The renown scientist, Niles ‘The Chief’ Caulder sought out these outcasts and offered them a purpose, a means to grasp their misfortunes and use it in the service of battling evil.  

The original team was composed of three heroes, Elesti-Girl, Robot Man and Negative Man.  Elasi-Girl was Rita Farr, a starlet of the silver screen who gained size-altering powers after exposure to a strange mutagenic substance.  Robot Man was Cliff Steel, a celebrated race-car driver whose body was destroyed in a terrible accident.  Caulder was able to save Cliff’s brain and transplanted it into a powerful and sophisticated android body.  Finally, Negative Man was Larry Trainer, an air force pilot whose jet passed through a bizarre cloud of ‘negative energy.’  Exposure to this energy caused Trainer’s body to become radioactive, forcing him to wear special treated bandages to protect those around him.  It additionally enabled him to project a negative energy construct of himself, a shadowy being that possessed high speed flight, enhanced strength and durability.  

The trio were later joined by Steve Dayton, a successful businessman and inventor who created a special helmet that augmented his intellectual faculties.  He took on the alias of Mento to become a member of the Doom Patrol after falling in love with Rita Farr.  The two married and went on to adopt Garfield Logan, an orphaned youngster who possessed the ability to transform into various animals.  As Beast Boy, Garfield also joined the Doom Patrol.  The relationship between Rita and Steve soured and Mento ultimately left the team.  

In a final mission, The Doom Patrol chose to sacrifice themselves in order to save a small island inhabited by innocent civilians.  Beast Boy was the sole survivor having not been on the mission.  Orphaned once again, he went on to find a new family when he became a member of the Teen Titans.  Years later, it was revealed that Robot Man had survived as well and his android body was repaired.  

Although The Doom  Patrol never appeared in the DCAU, they did feature in episodes of the fifth season of Teen Titans.  The Doom Patrol first appeared in the 80th issue of the comic book, ‘My Greatest Adventure’ released in June and 1963.

Prehistoric humans would pursue their prey for hours, and even days. Exocannis robots are very persistent stalkers and ruthless machines that refuse to recognize defeat.

Such violent directive, paired up with a very unfortunate incident that provoked the death of five people, deemed the Exocannis robots too dangerous by the government, and so, they were banned and destroyed for good... Except for a single prototype.

Said prototype is now out there, rescuing and repairing rebellious androids, instead of annihilating them. Whatever is the reason why Hunter seeks peace between humankind and robotkind remains unknown, as he refuses to talk about his past."

"Exocannis robots like Hunter weren’t made to just kill rebellious androids. They were made to terrorize them. To make one tell the difference between deactivation and death.

And so, they go for the neck."
