"K – LETTER STORY"
RED: "MYSTERIOUS SUMMER GREETINGS"
Translation: Naru-kun
Raws: Ridia
That night, Yata was at the HOMRA bar, arms crossed, staring at the counter. A pale blue postcard was placed in front of his gaze.
"Hey. Yata-san, what's wrong? You look very serious."
Rikio Kamamoto appeared next to Yata.
"It's okay. I received something I really don't understand."
Yata looked at Kamamoto with a bitter face.
"It was sent directly to me by Reisi Munakata, the head of "Scepter 4"."
Kamamoto looked surprised for a moment. After,
"A postal?"
He stared at the postcard. On the front is a very common address and on the back is a photograph of the white, rolling ocean, which was probably taken by himself. And a few words.
"I wish you all my best wishes for the summer. Munakata."
It was written with a very skillful hand.
"Hey, what's up?"
Yata was surprised. Because Kamamoto had a very confused expression on his face. Kamamoto said:
"...Actually, the exact same thing has arrived at my house too."
Then, he took out a postcard of the same type from his pocket.
Yata was silent for a while and then said:
"Are you serious?!"
He couldn't help but scream.
He lined up the postcards that Kamamoto and Yata received on the counter. The summer greeting card he sent to Yata was by the sea, but the postcard he sent to Kamamoto shows a mountain view.
So,
"Hey, are you serious?"
The "Homura" members, who had been chatting on the couch, began to gather around Yata and Kamamoto.
They took out postcards one after another from their pockets and bags and placed them on the counter.
All of them were sent by the "Blue King", Reisi Munakata.
The place was noisy. Akagi said:
"No, aren't he giving summer greetings normally?"
Then Bando said in a serious tone.
"That's naive. There's definitely something behind this."
Shaking his head, Chitose suddenly spoke.
"Oh. If you look closely, you can see Munakata-san, right?"
His summer greeting card was an aerial photograph of a certain theme park.
"Yes. That's right. I've been going through everyone's postcards for a while now, and Munakata-san is in all of them."
Fujishima said as he carefully examined the summer greetings with a magnifying glass.
By the way, the postcard for him was of a field of sunflowers. There you can see Munakata, small, but in a blue uniform. Looking closer, Yata's postcard shows him surfing in the ocean, and Kamamoto's postcard shows him rock climbing on a cliff.
"W-what do you mean by this?"
Dewa said in shock.
Eric suddenly realized and asked Kusanagi, who was polishing glasses behind the counter.
"So, what kind of things did you get, Kusanagi-san?"
All eyes were on Kusanagi. Kusanagi responded somewhat dryly.
"No, you don't have to come to my house."
"Oh, I see." There was such an atmosphere everywhere.
"Y-yes."
Everyone looked away, feeling sorry for themselves and began to get excited, except Kusanagi. Anna came down from the second floor, proudly waving summer in front of Kusanagi, and then joined the group.
"Guh..."
Kusanagi gritted his teeth. Then the doorbell rang and Seri Awashima from "Scepter 4" appeared. She handed Kusanagi a postcard while she glanced at the "Homura" members, who were engrossed in their thoughts.
"Yes, this is it. I received a message from the Boss asking me to give it directly to Kusanagi-kun since he would like to convey his intentions to you."
Kusanagi asked in a surprised tone.
"Seri-chan. What does this mean?"
Awashima looked worried.
"Hmm. To put it very simply, the Boss will be going on a very long journey from now on. And he wanted to make a strong impression on everyone, especially the people of "Homura"."
"I see."
Kusanagi thought for a moment,
"In short, I'm here anywhere, so don't make fun of me while I'm away, is that a message?"
Awashima nodded with a wry smile. Kusanagi looked at his friends. Now,
"Wow, it's the same date, but they're 200 kilometers apart as the crow flies! How did he take this photo?"
They were excited to solve the mystery. Kusanagi casually looked at his postcard. Munakata was standing in front of the base of "Scepter 4", smiling. He had a very nice smile.
