I think it’s funny that I headcanon all the shadow knights to be over 6’0 and extremely tall and then there’s Zenix who’s 5’0

Okay because I literally just wrote about the shadow knights: if Gene, Sasha and Zenix were all in the PDH gang “The Shadow Knights” that means hypothetically every canon shadow knight was in some way connected to it. Laurence used to be in it, and then left the gang (to me, symbolizes the fact that Laurence didn’t really want to accept the fact he WAS a shadow knight in MCD as he resisted the calling). Zane really wanted to be in the gang, but when he couldn’t so in PDH s2 he made the gang “The Jury.” Through MCD, he ran The Jury of Nine before becoming a shadow knight in s3. So that means if this random idea of mine is hypothetically correct, Vylad was at one point in this gang. That means, hypothetically, Garroth at one point had two “emo” little brothers, and I think that’s funny

I'm currently rewatching the og diaries and quickly caught up on the remake ( again ) and I'm still a little salty about Zenix and Garroth never really meeting again. Yeah Zenix went back to attack Levin but the battle happened offscreen. I mean Garroth considered Zenix a SON. Do you like Zenix's innocent act in the og or do you perfer him being constantly sus of Aphmau in the rewrite?

well actually first I’d have to 100% agree with you, another zenix/garroth interaction later on would have been SO cool and there was some potential there in s3? that could have been SO sexy especially with laurance working with zenix now i mean come the fuck on missed opportunity.

anyways, honestly i think that rebirth zenix has a place in my heart and i love how he’s suspicious of aphmau, and how garroth chalks it up to him seeing a bit of himself in her. that’s such an interesting thing like come ON that’s so cool. i’d have adored to see this zenix betrayal because he’s a much more dynamic character in rebirth (for obvious reasons). but really, i think the idea of him being suspicious of aph is much cooler, and what makes it better is that he’s the wolf in sheep’s clothing, y’know? what really piques my interest is why he acts so suspicious of her. i wonder if it has something to do with his own story, or if it’s just a genuine “she’s just playing the helpless girl act.” though i feel it has something to do with the former.

now. i love og zenix’s thing, i love that he plays innocent completely, but i don’t think that he was originally intended to be a backstabber, only because i don’t think jess had too much in mind for mcd YET. however i do still like the idea of him just goin’ with the flow, then boom villain. would it have been cooler to see why zenix decided to backstab garroth then instead of the many other times he could have? yep totally. but i think (and hope) that would have been covered in rebirth.

USD! Zenix didn't get anything from the Shadow Knights except an increase in xyr unhealthy coping mechanisms.

USD! Gene and Aaron get into fierce debates. They are both on the debate team and compete more with each other than their other teammates during practice, even when they're on the same side.

Canon vs. USD! Aaron leads to USD! Aaron losing. Inexperience.

DUaR! Aphmau Laurance and Garroth got suspended vandalism when they decided turning the gym into their personal studio was a good idea.

USD! Kim got into a fist fist with Sasha once.

USD! Ivy is vigorously denying her crush on Teony, who is busy running the Jury behind Zane's back.

DUaR! Zane and Zenix are former friends and argue like children whenever they are alone. Zane has a reputation after all.

DUaR! Vylad got kicked out of Okhasis Prep after a year for being 'disruptive', and transferred to Phoenix Drop. Him and Travis scare freshman.

Nobody is actually as scary as they look.

USD! and DUaR! Dante both know Gene's schedule by heart, but DUaR! Dante actively follows him through the school building.

DUaR! Dante is a dick who threatens Gene's friends whenever they argue, no matter how serious It is.

DUaR! Sasha can and will kick Dante's butt. DUaR! Zenix just avoids him.

USD! Gene gets scouted for Aphmau's gang twice a week after they hang out until they do it again.

USD! Aaron actually has a relatively good family life. The glasses are just aesthetic (and the Ultima thing. y'know)

Mystreet musical Instruments and dance headcanons!

Travis: Piano, he can do many dances but the main ones he does are hip-hop and ballet

Aphmau: Bass, because I think that’s funny, and she can’t dance

Garroth: Violin, he can ballroom dance but that’s it

Zane: Clarinet, ballroom dance

Vylad: Ocarina, he’s amazing at every dance he does, but mostly ballroom dance

Katelyn: She doesn’t play an instrument but she can dance, she does ballet

Dante: Saxophone because that’s something he would do, and he can only do hip-hop dances that he learns from Travis

Gene: He can play the guitar and he can dance amazing, he does hip-hop classes with his mom which is canon so yeah

Laurence: Flute, I don’t something about him, oh and the trumpet! He can dance very well! Also hip-hop

Zenix: He plays the drums and The only dancers he knows is the ones he’s seen Gene do

Lucinda: Viola, Saxophone, and the harp and she can do many dances

Nana: Piccolo, and she can dance, there is no specific type of dance that she does it’s just that she can dance

Just here to share that I think the shadow knights are single handedly one of the most interesting things in the Aphmau Universe and something that I still love after all these years since watching MCD for the first time

MYSTREET FIT REVIEW - BRENDAN

MYSTREET - CASUAL

Brendan's casual fit screams background character. Dark green shirt with black pants do nothing to help him stand out. The red converse are the only part of his design that stands out, but I'm not really sure why they're there in the first place (maybe a refrence to Kiki??).

Luckily for Brendan, he's so minor his boringness adds to the design instead of detracting.

MYSTREET - SUMMER

Brendan took everyone's insurance money and bought himself whatever...this is. Pink and deep teal is a banger color combo, but the red sneakers still seem out of place. I'm also not sure if he's wearing a one piece or just a coordinated two piece. Might be a swimsuit but there's no reason for Brendan to wear one.

MYSTREET SEASON ONE - CASUAL

Lovingly bland. Dorky sweater in a similar gray/white/green to his Jury uniform is both recognizable and weather appropriate. Khaki pants fitting of a dad. Gorgeous.

PHOENIX DROP HIGH - CASUAL

Jeffory in the uniform is really just okay. The abundance of green eye brunette boys in PDH make him come off like a background character. Fairly certain Zane’s goons in PDH s2 stand out just as much and Jeffory does, and they don't even speak.

PHEONIX DROP HIGH - FORMAL

Apologies for the poor lighting. Jeffory only wears his formal fit at prom so we never see it in a good atmosphere. From what I can tell, its really just a basic black and white tux. There's a black strip near the collar that could be a bow tie or a ribbon. And the lapel flowers compliment his eyes.

PHEONIX DROP HIGH - UNIFORM

Fortunately, Zenix's hair and eyes are neutral and don't clash with the blues of the uniform. Zenix buttons his blazer the same way Gene does, which is a neat little character detail I enjoy very much.

PHOENIX DROP HIGH - CASUAL

Zenix really said minecraft bad boy. He has stolen his grey and black striped hoodie from Zane’s closet, a direct homage to Garroth considering Zenix to be like his little brother in MCD. The white undershirt and black pants fortunately steer clear of flat white and black, which are saved for accessories and shoes. Keeling the entire fit in grayscale allows the values to stand out, making the design readable.

MYSTREET - CASUAL

Hate the whitewashing but the fit itself is nice and funky. Love the black jacket with the white fur and the bright red/pink buttons. Putting the button color on the shirt stripes is s neat idea, but it clashes with the gray. The blue of the pants is the same value as the brown of his weirdly coordinated belt/shoes.

5/10 for the jacket alone

UPSIDE DOWN STORIES - CASUAL

Zenix's Laurance arc, made dumber by the addition of a white shirt under the polo. This implies that UP!Zenix is supposed to parallel Laurance?? Which is a weird choice since UP!Zenix acts nothing like Laurance. Jesson later gives any notable Laurance traits (soccer captain and popularity) to UP!Zane, who is a combination Jeffory/Garroth/Laurance hybrid...who is not Zenix. Deadass UP!Zenix doesn't have any parallels outside of this one fit. Unless normal Laurance is notoriously into peanut butter Laurance stans help me out here-

Again, loses points for whitewashing. The burgundy brown varisty jacket with matching shoes is fine, if not bland. Adding the white t shirt and normal denim jeans really gives off high school Garroth energy. Look at that he evern has a baseball bat. At least the chains on the jeans are a tiny, but in character detail
