Ferdinand is a witch who fought in one of the wars between Kalos and Galar centuries ago, driven by an interest in magical experimentation and power which lead him to messing around with tera crystals. The Stellar crystal he'd gotten his hands on exploded in his care, embedding itself into his heart; which didn't kill him, but it *did* supercharge his magic. It sounded great at first but being driven into a state of constant mania resulted in him quite literally physically compartmentalizing it ('borrowing' pieces) to try and control it. It's KIND of working! He's the most lucid he's been in decades!

And hey, his newfound level of regeneration hasn't kept him up this whole time. He DID die, once, back in the war. The shard just slowly repaired him until he woke up again. It's fine! He's fine.

i know i shouldnt dwell on stupid opinions like this but a while ago i saw someone complain that Applin was a boring concept bc its just a worm in an apple and i was FLOORED. this iirc was in response to smth about gen 1 designs being boring as well

its not just a worm its a Wyrm its a pun. that is a concept. maybe you don't like it personally but to say its objectively bad is certainly Something. not every pokemon has to be based on a myth or something else fantastical to be a good concept. you Need "boring" pokemon for the dex to feel complete, if Everything is Cool then nothing is actually cool

"gamefreak is running out of ideas" yeah there's a billion fish pokemon but they're all actually very different to each other, lanturn is an anglerfish and lumineon is a butterfly fish. say what you will abt gamefreak rn its probably warranted but imo the one thing they still do right 100% of the time is unique concepts for each pokemon. the execution can be debated but the fundamentals are always there

So the other day I made this post about my personalized Nuzlocke lore. And well, as a writer of course there's a point to my world building and in this case it's Dipplinshipping.

So I purpose to you a Juliana who grew up in Alola and knows damn well what it's like to loose a Pokémon and how that would absolutely change the dynamic between her and angsty era Kieran who by contrast would not have lost any mons.

SECOND TEAM UP LETS GOO!!

OKAY SO- Sneasel is like one of my all time favorite Pokémon, one of my top ten for sure. I have a stuffed animal of it from when I was little of her.

And yes I mean her, she’s trans okay 😤😤 the long feather ear is pretty and she’s a pretty girl that’s the end of the argument. Applin also is super important to me, especially shiny applin, cause of its lore in the game it was introduced in. Giving an applin to someone was like confessing your feelings to someone so me and my partner shiny hunted them and gave each other shiny applins.

I evolved mine to an appletun and my partner evolved theirs to a Flapple so we’d match :> so they’ve always been really important to me. And CUTIEFLY is just adorable so I mean it’s fitting for my sort of girly pop team.

I love all of them, and I can’t stop drawing them, and I’m really grateful to them cause it’s helped me draw other stuff again like my OCs and stuff for my portfolio. I started lagging behind on drawing cause I was sort of stuck in a loop of being unmotivated. So yeah here they are and they’re very darling to me :>

Valentine Special 2025 ships

Heyo, it's already midnight where I am, so Valentine's Day has passed, but I still wanted to celebrate it. Valentine's Day is weird for me because I am Aro&Ace, so I never really get to appreciate it. Every year, it just comes and passes, and I feel nothing, even though I do like the aesthetic.

But this week, I had the brilliant idea that even though I can't celebrate it conventionally, I can still do something for all the pairings and ships I have come to love over the years. So, I drew eleven ships that had helped me during my most challenging moments, from when I was a child to the present. They are ordered in no particular order but rather what I got on paper in my sketchbook.

Idk. Maybe this way me my fellow Aromantics shippers can still enjoy the holiday.

Isafrin (my most recent ship. They make me soft and cry at the same time. Like this pairing adds a lot ISAT's story and manages to also be very entertaining and heartfelt)

Sonadow (I got into the ship before I was even into Sonic. There was even a long-ass fic I found back when I still read on Fanfiction.net that I reread every year because I found it so funny. I definitely enjoy the modern Sonadow writing more than a decade ago)

Purpleshipping {Kieran x mc) (A little backstory: this is just the mc from Scarlet and Violet that I made an NB version for, which became their own person after writing a fic. Here, they are exchanging an Applin with Kieran. For those who know the custom, you know, you know. A friend of mine named this ship)

Shadowpeach (the most divorced couple I have ever come across. I remember back when this was considered a crack ship. Ah, good times. The character depictions were very different back then, too. I depicted them in their friend's era, but still. Btw Macaque is laughing at Sun Wukong's antics but I think it accidentally looks like he is laughing at Sun Wukong rather than with him. Oh well, it wouldn't be too out of character for seasons 1-3 Mac)

Marink (not a ship I read about a lot, but it hurt me so much when I played Link's Awakening for the first time. Everytime I think of Marin I feel sad)
