Dark Crystal Inspiration

The Dark Crystal is one of my favourite puppet-made films. These life-sized puppets were handmade and manipulated by one or more people. My favourite things about them are the colours, textures and tones used to make them seem realistic. 

Released in New York City on December 13th 1982, the Dark Crystal was inspired after “an inllustration by Leonard B. Lubin in a 1975 edition of Lewis Carroll’s Poetry showing crocodiles living in a palace and wearing elaborate robes and jewelry”
