Looking through Dinamo Typefaces I came across this typeface that I like a lot. I think the form and shape of it is what I am trying to create with my typeface. 

I really enjoy the look of it, It works very well and is extremely readable. 

This typeface has a huge range of variations much like the previous typeface Brick.

Title card

before thinking about the storyboard, I started thinking about the title card, and possible visual approaches. I thought I’d make a title card based on the ones I’d seen on Joe Pera Talks with you. There’s a sense of sentimentality that comes through with a painted title card. This theme of sentimentality is a theme in Taika’s films. For example, the hand drawn animations in Boy(2009).  The title is set in Arizona text from Dinamo. I thought a serif fit better against a painted image than a sans serif.

this is the font used for the glyphs website and it is created by type foundry dinamo. the video above shows the type at work on the glyphs website and then it shows the dinamo website which features their work. the typeface is called abc arizona. this is super cool and I love it and it just goes to show that what I wanted to do originally, can be done. as I mentioned in a previous post, its a shame its been done as I thought it was original but I still want to do it. it will obviously be very different to this and the previous examples shown and it will be my take on it with a typeface that I design. I just need that damn system or series or narrative or grid or whatever it is.

“Good Afternoon, Miss Worthington. Have a seat,” Northlake’s ever well-meaning guidance councillor offered, noticing that in the thirty seconds since the teenager had walked into the room Tilly had been staring at the already occupied seat in what could only be described as fear.

It had been odd enough when she had been called out of her last period, a precious free which she had been using to update her social media, to report to the principal’s office immediately. Her mind was filled with thoughts about what she could have done that merited a trip to the office, she was sure the man had given up on reforming her years ago. The list mainly consisted of the slight smears in her campaign or perhaps her literally threatening the lives of other students, but it grew much worse when she had opened the door and spotted the room’s third occupant. Sitting across the desk, knuckles white from grasping at the chair’s arms in anger and a face like thunder, was Tripp Worthington.

There was only one reason her father would grace the halls of Northlake High with his presence again, and she had no idea how anybody had found out about it. As though just for a moment he had forgotten that his only daughter was bringing shame onto the family name and instead was making some poor nameless faceless family homeless and starving. It was gone in an instant, when he turned to his child and hissed, “You have managed to fail at something that even the biggest simpleton can accomplish. That retard Bill Clinton managed to graduate high school. Your mother managed to graduate from this high school. It is one thing to not be Ivy League material Matilda, you never had the brains for that, but to not even graduate high school?! You are the biggest moron in this whole goddamn town!”

“What?!” He roared, his anger finally directed away from Tilly, as though daring the older woman to criticise him. She fell silent, obviously not ready to take on the wrath that the teenager had been dealing with her entire life. He gave a brief nod, meaning that they were done with the conversation, as his hands releasing their grip on the chair to wrap even harder around his daughter’s arm, so hard that she could practically feel the bruises taking place, “I’ll take it from here.” She was dragged out of the office and into the hallway before the members of staff could protest.

Tilly’s eyes were kept firmly on the ground with her head hanging low as her father manhandled her through the hallways of her high school, but she could still hear the chatter of her fellow students - had she really spent thirty minutes in that room? - and feel their stares when it stopped. For moment she wondered what they were more surprised at; the fact that Tilly Worthington had finally seemed to be being punished or that the infamous Tripp was obviously back in town?

She almost sighed in relief when the cold breeze of the car park hit her, but she should have known better. It would only get worse, and there seemed to be even more witnesses making their way to their car instead of hanging around lockers.

She was pulled to a halt, the deadly grip realising her as though she was on fire. Perhaps her father was so disgusted he couldn’t even stand to touch her any longer.

“You are a pathetic, worthless piece of trash who was obviously sent from hell to test me! From the day and hour you were born you have been nothing but a disappointment Matilda! You have gone out of your way time and time again to try to destroy me, to destroy the legacy of our family with your crazy antics and now this! I have had enough! I will be staying in Northlake and you will not be let out of my sight, are we understood? No more parties, no more schemes and no more Sunday brunches with people who haven’t worked out what a toxic parasite you are yet! I am staying until I can find somewhere that will take you!” The stream of insults was so loud that Tilly was convinced even those who had skipped last period to go to Dairy’s would hear the rant. But there was only one thing that in her shock she could question.

“Take me?” Her tone took on an unsure tone that wasn’t usually associated with Matilda Worthington, with any Worthington, but it was the shaking that truly betrayed her vulnerability.

“Yes, take you. You didn’t think I was going to let you stay here after this, did you? I’ve already contacted St. Genevieve's but unfortunately they won’t accept the spawn of Satan so we will have to look at other options. I couldn’t even get you into Arizona State Matilda, the biggest party school in the country wouldn’t lower their standards for a disgrace like you and I can hardly blame them,” It was then that car keys were thrust into her hand, painfully the metal dug into the skin of her palms so much that she winced, but her father only spat, “You disgust me. So much that I can’t even sit in the same car as you without being tempted to run it off the road. You will drive straight home and meet me there where we can discuss this further.”

And with that Tripp straightened his suit jacket, composing himself before turning to walk towards the black Mercedes. He could somehow ignore the gawking that was making Tilly want to throw up, maybe he even revelled in it. His daughter, in contrast, stood as though she was frozen to the spot before her head snapped back down to the ground and she ran to her car. The tears streaming down her face told her that once again she was failing miserably to contain her emotions until she reached the safety of her Rover.

All that said, as I make this video in late March of 2020 there are two new developments that will likely increase the value of Medicare supplement Plan N. First, is a big change by Mayo clinic and their Florida facility. For people in Florida one of the drawbacks of a Medicare supplement Plan N has been that Mayo Clinic in Florida has charged a Medicare Part B excess charge. Many people view Mayo Clinic as one of the nation’s top cancer treatment facilities, especially for blood cancers. Unfortunately, the Mayo Clinic in Florida charged an excess charge for many outpatient services. . That would leave the Medicare Plan N policy holder liable for the extra 15% billed on most outpatient services. The good news is that Mayo Clinic in Florida no longer charges an excess charge. They now accept Medicare assigned rates. The only state where Mayo Clinic still charges an excess charge is in their Arizona facility. This news is big news on several levels. Obviously, it’s big for Florida residents and those in nearby states who might wish to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida for treatment. But it goes beyond that. It is an important part of a growing trend.

A couple days ago, mid-March of 2020, the US Government announced an unprecedented expansion of telehealth services for Medicare. This will impact both those on a Medicare Advantage Plans as well as those with Medicare supplement Plans.

The first part is that telehealth is very likely to see a permanent boost in its availability and usage from this event. The government is putting a lot of many in to making telehealth meetings more available. Doctors and other healthcare professionals are “breaking the ice” starting to use telehealth meetings out of necessity…… and will find it easier to manage than they expected. And, of course, it is a very efficient way of working with patients that have any infectious disease. It keeps the healthcare workers safe while providing meaningful convenience for the ill they no longer need to get in their cars and drive to an office to wait for an appointment to see a healthcare professional As a result of this virus and the government response, we are likely to see a lot more telehealth in the years ahead.

But how does this impact Medicare supplement Plan N policy holders specifically? As you likely already know, one of the drawbacks, minor drawbacks of a Medicare supplement Plan N is that there is a co-pay of up-to $20 per office visit. These are visit with a doctor or nurse practitioner for diagnosis, evaluation and management. There is no copay for physical therapy or lab work etc. Just doctor visits.

There is also no copay for telehealth doctor visits. Let me repeat that. There is no copay for telehealth doctor visits.

So there you have it. As telehealth becomes more mainstream in usage it offers the Medicare supplement Plan N policy holder a way to visit a doctor for evaluation, diagnosis and management WITHOUT a copay.
