While more of us are being diagnosed with ADHD than ever, there's still so much we don't understand about the biological mechanisms behind the differences we experience. To begin with, no consistent set of responsible genes has even been identified. Incredibly, a new study now suggests up to half of inherited ADHD can be explained by single gene variations, instead of clusters of different genes contributing together, as previously suspected. "Identification of genetic mechanisms specific to ADHD has been challenging," Harvard psychologist Anne Arnett and colleagues explain in their paper. ADHD manifests with such a complex set of behavioral differences that the idea that it involves groups of multiple genes not only makes sense, but according to some researchers is a forgone conclusion. But these multiple gene groups have not been able to explain all of ADHD's genetic inheritance. Studies that considered how multiple ADHD-linked genes are passed on have only observed about a 30 percent rate of heritability.

Character Interview Tag Game
Tumblr media
Thank you for the tag @bardic-tales, @mrsmungus, and @chickensarentcheap! - I figured by the third tag, I better get this turned around instead of it sitting half finished in my Google docs, huh? Yeah. Wow, am I getting bad at doing these in a timely manner. I miss being on a writing schedule…
Rules: Answer the 15 questions below as yourself or in character of an OC of your choice. Also tag 15 people if possible.
I’m going to go with Hayden, since she is my main OC. Pulling her for questioning from the middle of ‘Just Keep Diving Down’ because some answers are reliant on story events, and could change depending on when she’s asked. This point in the timeline would be the only spot she could truly give you a decent answer to the full lot of them.
(Although, if you have the time and are curious, I would recommend starting with Something Like A Spiral. Chronologically, it comes first. Just Keep Diving Down picks up where Spiral stops. Spiral is a canon storyline to the Stand, and Diving is after canon events end.)
No Pressure Tagging: @asirensrage @tsunderewatermelon @verba-writing @karimac @late-to-the-fandom and Open Tag to anybody who would find joy in doing this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Are you named after anyone?
No, but also, kind of yes? I guess that doesn’t have as simplistic an answer as most. Sorry about that. My parents decided on my name after hearing it in a TV show. I don’t believe there was any particular attachment to the character, they both just liked the sound of it. But to be fair, you could also say I was named after a little girl in Arnette, Texas.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Oh. Jumping right in it then. I suppose a couple days ago? It has been a, well… a slightly trying time, to say the least. Sometimes it all just catches up with you, doesn’t it? Feels like death’s been surrounding us for so long. You think you get away, but you never really can, can you? It’s always a possibility, especially when you have a life like mine.
3. Do you have kids?
No! No. That’s nothing I would responsibly be able to do. Doesn’t seem very fair to them. No, I couldn’t do that. Won’t do that.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
Sarcasm always seems to have this type of negative connotation to it. I prefer snark. Sass. Cheek, maybe? Playful banter? I give shit a lot. And armchair therapy depending on who you ask, I suppose. If it makes it any better, it is our group speak. Love language perhaps? Ah, it's understood between us, I guess is what I’m getting at.
5. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Body language and posture. Most people will tell you who they are before they even say a word. It gives a decent gauge to see what note to start a conversation on. What to potentially expect from the exchange.
6. What's your eye color?
Brown, but there are some days they take on a slightly more hazel tone. Mostly brown though.
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
Oh, I have enough going on in my life to skip over the scary. Had my fill, thank you. I’ll take happy endings from here on out if you don’t mind.
8. Any special talents?
Some people say I have a knack for understanding how things work, but I don’t know. Seems like that’s just something that would come with being naturally curious, wouldn’t it? You have to understand how things work if you want to use them to work for you? Its a universal concept, whether its technology, magic, music… You have to know the principles before you can begin to successfully alter them.
But that said, I would personally say the piano. I’m not the best at it, more mechanical than natural about the movements, but I still enjoy it. Or more appropriately, I enjoy the music.
9. Where were you born?
A little absurd, but apparently, my mom liked telling the story, so here goes. I was born at our home in the bathtub. My mother had a very high pain threshold. Things that could break other people were nothing she would blink at. The stories surprise me sometimes, but digressing. She thought she was having braxton hicks, and went to soak for a few moments. Doctors told her that’s when her water broke, not that she would know. So without the normal alerts that would send most moms to be to their hospital, mine was quite content to soak until the water started to take on a red tint. Thankfully my dad had a level head.
10. What are your hobbies?
Oh, I guess the piano answer should have went here, huh? Not that I’ve had much time to do anything with it lately. I get a few breaks here and there when we’re down at Gru’s, but for the most, it's been research and practice. Wash, rinse, repeat. Although, Glen does make it a mission to make sure I take sporadic breaks. Mostly he pulls me along on his paint outings. Not that I give him much resistance, the area here really is beautiful, and the company is quite pleasant. I like watching him work.
I won’t turn down a good story though either. Books on a rainy days are always welcome.
11. Have you any pets?
Had? Yes. Have? No. I think that would be much like the kid question, slightly irresponsible on my part, I’d think. I would love it, though. I’ve had many pets before, and I love animals. Plus, I’m pretty sure Glen misses Kojak, although, good luck getting him to admit that. He still claims to not be an animal person, but how they got on, you couldn’t tell. Liar.
That does bring up a good point, though. We would not turn away one in need. If another situation like Kojak comes along, and we are better than any other alternative…. But we aren’t about to seek one out though. Not with life as it is now. Maybe someday…
12. What sports do you play/have played?
I never was much of a sports fan, not gonna lie. Small get togethers with a round up softball game or something, alright, fair. But all for funsies. Nothing organized, or for an extended period of time.
13. How tall are you?
About 5’7”, a little over. I’m pretty average, I think, but I’ve had a few people say I give off tall girl vibes, whatever that means. I think it was meant endearingly, but it's hard to tell when it comes from Max.
14. Favourite subject in school?
They all have their pluses and minuses. Overall anatomy, not my favorite, but once it came to neuroscience specifically, it was fantastic. You can’t have one without the other though. Programming. You can’t advance before you understand the basics. Same with teletporation and dimensional studies. I guess it really comes down to one of my prior answers: You have to know how it works before you can manipulate it, and that can be tedious. Learning the basics is dull sometimes. But the end game is so much more rewarding.
15. Dream job?
I honestly wish I could go back to the way it was before. Studying in my lab. Proposing and testing theories. Pushing the boundaries of what we know. What we’ve seen. Connecting to other worlds in ways we would have never imagined before. Seeing out beyond our reach. It was exhilarating. Maybe one day, it will come back to that. I can hope.

“How did you meet Stede?”
“Who?”
“The bride. The blonde bride”
Jack shrugged “Oh, I don’t”
Izzy widened her eyes at that “But you don’t know Ed”
“And how can you be sure of that?” Jack questioned back, but she was grinning
“I was with Ed for thirteen years. I guess I would have known”
“By context, I reckon Ed is the other bride”
“Yeah”
“Which begs the question: what are you doing here?”
Izzy is sad and heartbroken at her ex-girlfriend’s wedding, Jack has crashed the reception to get free drinks. What happens next will surprise you (it will not. it’s sex) Featuring Love Actually discourse, Izzy’s love-hate relationship with cats, and a truly indecent amount of finger sucking

okay but tell me why i see Jake being voiced by Will Arnett tho- i get a ton of Bojack vibes off him and idk why
Ngl I can see it haha. Probably because I love Bojack and like, certain similarities were already there but they likely got emphasized because of that haha
But like, for a list of comparisons (mild warning for spoilers? Maybe?):
-They both feel like washed-up has-beens. They both had their peak and now they don’t know what to do with themselves (though arguably Jake’s was…more of a fall from grace, but Bojack also has his falls from grace to the public eye at least).
-They both have feels about that past but also are at odds with it and compete with it. Bojack wants a new role to reinvent himself, but once he gets it he self destructs. But he also watches his own show over and over and can’t move on. Jake wants to reclaim his power and prestige, and to feel important again, but when he gets there he’s basically that Plankton meme and fizzles out. He also doesn’t know how to move on, and if he gets close to that “aha” moment he will self-sabotage.
-Both are…probably very depressed. Both abuse substances (and get into bad relationships or use sex as a coping mechanism). Both refuse help when it is offered, and demand it inappropriately. You can whine to someone else’s therapist and you can be forced to go to a therapist but you will never /see/ a therapist. Ngl, if I made the fantasy sitcom, there probably would be a Stupid Piece of Shit episode for Jake lol
-alternatively they can get into the weirdest shenanigans and nonsense happens all around them because they are volatile and impulsive and depressed. And on surface level it can be funny, but when you think about it, it’s kinda fucked.
-they’re also horrible influences and it causes problems. Bojack wins on the tragedy and more fucked up side here, but Jake has steered others in the wrong direction.
-Both totally spiral out of control. Idk how much of it shows with Jake, but he might be on a bit of a downwards trajectory. Even I haven’t figured out how that’s gonna go down esp if it’s a good or a bad ending but there’s a potential for shit to eventually catch up with Jake and for it to spiral.
-also like shit parents? Trauma? Idk Jake’s grandparents were probably fucked too. Either way they both got conditioned in the worst way by their childhoods when it comes to wanting/needing attention, but it does not excuse their actions.
-Drowning is a recurring motif. Perhaps even a plot point. For some reason. Jake’s had that association long before the show was a thing but it’s funny how that worked out.
-Where Bojack has black goo, Jake has black smoke. Again, funny how that worked out. But if you see either you know shit is gonna get trippy and anxiety provoking af. Maybe I should write a haunting poem too lol
…But yeah I can get where those vibes are coming from and I’m glad it’s not just me. Idk wtf his voice actually sounds like but he’s got the vibes lol

SN2020qlb: a hydrogen-poor superluminous supernova with well-characterized light curve undulations. (arXiv:2205.11143v1 [astro-ph.HE])
SN\,2020qlb (ZTF20abobpcb) is a hydrogen-poor superluminous supernova (SLSN-I) that is among the most luminous (maximum M$_{g} = -22.25$ mag) and that has one of the longest rise times (77 days from explosion to maximum). We estimate the total radiated energy to be $>2.1\times10^{51}$ ergs. SN\,2020qlb has a well-sampled light curve that exhibits clear undulations, a phenomenon seen in other SLSNe, whose physical origin is still unknown. We discuss the potential power source of this immense explosion as well as the mechanisms behind its observed light curve undulations. We analyze photospheric spectra and compare them to other SLSNe-I. We construct the bolometric light curve using photometry from a large data set of observations from the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF), Liverpool Telescope (LT) and Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and compare it with radioactive, circumstellar interaction and magnetar models. Model residuals and light curve polynomial fit residuals are analyzed to estimate the undulation timescale and amplitude. We also determine host galaxy properties based on imaging and spectroscopy data, including a detection of the [O III]$\lambda$4363\AA\, auroral line, allowing for a direct metallicity estimate. We rule out the Arnett $^{56}$Ni decay model for SN\,2020qlb's light curve due to unphysical parameter results. Our most favored power source is the magnetic dipole spin-down energy deposition of a magnetar. Two to three near peak oscillations, intriguingly similar to those of SN\,2015bn, were found in the magnetar model residuals with a timescale of $32\pm6$ days and an amplitude of 6$\%$ of peak luminosity. We rule out centrally located undulation sources due to timescale considerations; and we favor the result of ejecta interactions with circumstellar material (CSM) density fluctuations as the source of the undulations.

Sorry if this is demanding or something you're not interested in doing- please feel free to ignore it! You seem very widely read and I haven't read any fiction in ages due to life stuff and was wondering if you'd be interested in recommending some books you've read that you would consider a good place to start for someone who wants to feed that part their brain again! Many Thanks
for sure! here are some books i've read relatively recently (like, in the past couple years) that i enjoyed:
the atmospherians by alex mcelroy - i just finished this last night! it's this wild satire about a "cancelled" wellness influencer who narrates the story of her downfall and her eventual rebrand as a cult leader. it's about storytelling on social media, what it means to trust any narrator but especially someone who has a brand to maintain, gendered expressions of loneliness, and legacy. the prose is kind of so-so but i liked it for the extremely unreliable narrator pov and the startlingly funny twists and turns.
we play ourselves by jen silverman - another book about a lonely woman who had a very public breakdown. contains toxic and competitive female friendships, magnetic leaders, the moral lines people start being willing to cross just to feel valuable, the genius myth, and the murky difference between exploitation and art.
nevada by imogen binnie - one of the best coming-of-age novels i've read, ever. it's a small, simple story about a trans woman from new york and a new friend she meets on the road, someone that she immediately recognizes is a trans woman too. the absolutely gorgeous prose brings you through themes like the dangers and rewards of emotional detachment, when you can lie to yourself and when you can't, taking care of someone else when you aren't able to care for yourself, and that most tumblrina phenomenon, self-recognition through the other. it's hard to come by since it was out of print and is now awaiting republication in the summer, but you can find pdfs floating around online (i even have one if you need).
such a fun age by kiley reid - the story of a black woman working as a babysitter for a wealthy white family during a time in her life when she's not sure what she can do with her life. it's about the narratives people make up about women of color and what it is to live with them, and it's also about the heartbreak of domestic work, how painfully transactional it is to be paid to love a child. really good book.
with teeth by kristen arnett - another book about motherhood, this one focuses on a lesbian mom who is spiralling out as she struggles to care for her very challenging son. this is one of those books that depict just a snowball of catastrophe that builds and builds even though it is, at the end of the day, just about this one family and their little lives. themes include generational trauma, the futility of measuring up to any kind of perfect mother image, living with loneliness when you're part of a family, and what it looks like for a mother to put herself before her child, grim as it is.
our wives under the sea by julia armfield - ohhhh this book was good! it's a creepy, vaguely fantastical horror book told in a dual pov: one woman who went on a submarine expedition that went very wrong, and her wife, who received her when she returned and had to deal with the fallout. some very unsettling body horror imagery from this book has lingered with me (in a good way). contains repressed and unspeakable trauma, facilitating a partner's coping mechanism as an act of love, doubt, faith, what no communication does to a mf, and the brutal horror of the ocean.
manhunt by gretchen felker-martin - 10 OUT OF 10 STARS I LOVE THIS BOOK! i had to end with this because it's almost this book's pub date and i am hell-bent on inventing this book for the tumblr audience. an insane horror romp that follows a group of trans and disabled protagonists as they try to find a safe place to live after a plague turned everyone with enough testosterone in their system into a cannibalistic monster. but the monsters are almost the easy part--the remaining cis women are no easier to evade, with super-rich wellness heiresses, chasers, and of course TERFs putting the protagonists in a more subtle danger. the big themes are inter-community harm (what women and queer people will selfishly do to each other), how survival scenarios bring out the worst and most honest core of who you are, and how at the end of the day, whether you're on the side of good or evil, community will be the deciding factor in whether you survive. this book is so darkly funny, sexy, and just so fucking good. i can't wait for more people to read it.
i hope that's a wide enough list to get you started! i'd love to know what you think about any of these books. lmk how it goes :)

Montague Arnett: Day 2 Complex Rules
Complexes, in the simplest words, are existential limitations that reflect the psychological worldview of their afflicted. As such, understanding the Complex innately leads to a greater understanding of the character themselves. As the central character of the novel, Montague has perhaps the most complex Complex of them all. Montague's highly dependent personality manifests itself in a fiery passion that drives him to show his inherent, unassisted worth. At his core, his deep fear of loneliness makes him incapable of accepting any form of abandonment, either physical or emotional. His Complex plays on this fear and makes his twisted weltanschauung literal- ensuring that he will never experience loneliness by making him not consciously exist in moments of solitude. In this way, the Complex is a defense against his greatest fear, but swung too far into the other direction. To truly come to terms with his Complex would be to balance the fear of loneliness with his overly clingy nature.
Montague's Complex manifests itself in a variety of ways over the course of the narrative, though always following the same essential rules. The trigger for his nonexistence is always solitude, though whether he is aware of an unseen perceiver or not is irrelevant. Complexes may be inherently tied to the mind of the afflicted, but also affect and are affected by the minds of others through a subconscious symbiotic social connection. Montague is also consciously aware of the existence of his Complex, and the fear of its symptoms are as debilitating as the symptoms themselves. Regardless if he were to come to any emotional harm from standing alone in a room for a few minutes, Montague will pathologically avoid such situations. Nonexistence is not discomforting for him, as his conscious thoughts simply cease, then resume upon renewed observation, rather like the pause button on a remote. His subconscious brain continues to function though, beating blood, breathing air, and unless caught in a precarious pose, maintaining balance as well. His body will continue to function even if left unconscious for an extended amount of time, rather like a coma, only facing failure in the face of starvation and dehydration.
The exact semantics of what constitutes "observation" is the most fascinating facet of his Complex's operation, both to characters within the story, such as the constantly curious Tamara, and also to myself, because I honestly have no clue. The variety of situations which test the parameters of the condition make for fascinating thought experiments (a sentiment also shared by Tamara, who is willing to turn my thought experiments into literal experiments, no matter how demeaning). Not all 5 senses trigger existence for Montague.
Sight obviously does, but also contains many caveats which will be explored in more detail.
Sound can trigger existence, but its lack of continuous nature makes it extremely unreliable. Though if he enters an empty room shouting and is heard, he will exist, it only takes the pause between words or a gasp of breath to undo the observation.
Smell is entirely unreliable as well. Not only are humans barely incapable of distinguishing by smell, not many smells are "inherent" to a person. A strong perfume Montague wears is NOT Montague himself, while body odor is the result of bacteria living on his skin. Without an essential smell, Montague is unobservable even to a person with a particularly keen nose.
Touch and physical contact are extremely reliable forms of observation, though they also have caveats. While touching through clothing does trigger existence, touching the clothing without touching Montague himself does not. Similarly, what is being touched must be presently connected to his corporeal form. For example, grasping cut hair does not equal touching Montague himself.
Finally, Taste……… unfortunately counts on a technicality. While drinking blood or sweat or other bodily excretions is entirely ineffective, making physical contact via licking, say…… his foot (what'd you think I was going to say?) TECHNICALLY counts as observance due to the rules regarding touch. Not that this will ever practically come up in any shape or form during the narrative because none of my characters are that nasty (though Tamara still insists on testing it just to make sure.)
Of course, even with these rules in place, there is still many specific situations where the parameters can be challenged, especially regarding the seemingly straightforward rules of "sight". So here's a quick Q and A running through as many as possible!
Does he stop existing when the observer is blinking? (yes, but only momentarily, barely enough for him to recognize).
If you don't see him directly but out of the corner of your eye, does he exist? (yes again! Even if just in close proximity to him, he will continue to exist as long as you don't specifically turn your back on him).
How well do you have to see him- I.E fogged up glasses or long distances? (It ultimately depends if you are able to still distinguish who he is. If he's merely a shadow of a something in your vision, that is not enough).
What about if he's fully concealed, as if under a blanket, but you can still see his outline without seeing him directly? (No. Seeing a "human shape" still leaves doubt to whether it could be a mannequin of something of the sort.).
What about if he is in clothes that fully conceal the body, such as a mascot costume or a fursuit? (This one's tough because he's still recognizably human, but he himself is not visible, just the costume. I may have erred on the sight of this answer because imagining him being stuffed into a fursuit as a form of torture is just too funny).
What if the observation is through a mirror? (yep! 100%).
What if it's through a livestream video? (this one's tough again because it's a continual form of observation, but is he being observed or just pixels that resemble him? Is the idea of Montague enough to communicate his existence? Unsure bout this one actually)
What if it's through a video that was recorded remotely than watched later? (Probably not. It’s a lil bit complicated because if it did work, he could exist at any time just as long as he filmed himself and someone in the entire of the future watched it at some point. On the other hand, if it doesn't work, then this allows him to be observed while not being observed- a paradoxical statement that undermines the absolute nature of the Complex).
Questions over!
So yeah, Montague's Complex is very compl…icated. But the thought experiment is one of the most appealing parts of the character, and writing the novel as a whole. If anyone has any more questions about how Montague's complex would react in a specific situation, I'd love to hear it! It'd actually help a lot, just so I have answers to any hypothetical questions future dude-bro fans want to try and trip me up with to prove their intellectual superiority.
Tomorrow i will explain beyond the mechanics of how Montague's complex works and, how it affects the way he lives his life in drastic ways.
Oh yeaah and before i forget: heres my a list of tagged people (not going to do it every day lol, this one’s just a reminder)

What do we know about The LEGO Movie 2 so far?
- Unikitty's new giant warrior form is called "Ultrakatty".
- At some point, Emmet builds a triple-decker couch—and evidently, a "thricycle". (It's a triple-decker unicycle. That is so impractical and amazing.)
- Good Cop (and we can only assume Bad Cop) seems to be making a reappearance! This is weirdly important to 75%+ of the fandom. Because honestly, a huge portion of our fan content is Good Cop/Bad Cop based and if we don't get some more character development for those two we are probably gonna yell. ("Scribble Cop" is included in this LEGO set, and makes a few background appearances in the Dance Together video.)
- PLEASE LET US SEE OUR FAVORITE REFORMED VILLAINS, TLM2 CREW
- I'M REALLY HOPING FOR AT LEAST ONE GOOD COP/BAD COP SCENE. The set linked above includes "Scribble Cop's Office" with "chair-kicking function". If it's Good Cop's office, yet there's chair-kicking going on... we might get that scene yet guys
- Business’s role is credited as being reprised by Will Ferrell on the Wikipedia page.
- I'm lowkey picturing him being torn between nervously trying to help without micromanaging everything and just going NOPE SORRY I DIDN'T DO IT at everything that's happened
- Puppycorn, Unikitty's little brother from the Cartoon Network show Unikitty!, is shown for a moment in the extended trailer.
- New characters include General Sweet Mayhem, Queen Watevra Wa'nabi, Banana, Ice Cream Cone, Roxxi (who I assume is a female mechanic of sorts, from this set), Fuse (who I'm hoping is a robot head who hangs out with Roxxi, but more likely is the guy mechanic), and Mohawk (who, I assume, is the guy with the mohawk).
- Returning characters with new "apocalypse warrior" personas are: Unikitty/Ultrakatty, Surfer Dave/Chainsaw Dave (yikes), Larry the Barista, Mrs. Scratchen-Post and her warrior cats, and to a lesser extent Warrior Lucy.
- also Batman, who has Edginess for Every Occasion™
- Metalbeard appears to be undergoing a few changes to his robotic body. In the holiday short, he's shown as only having his head and chest (get it? get it?), while in the later part of the Dance Together video, he seems to have spider-like robotic legs.
- Benny's spaceman friends are actually named Lenny, Kenny, and Jenny! (Good job, fandom, you totally called it.) Kenny is the yellow spaceman, Lenny is apparently pink, and Jenny is in white.
- We are left to wonder who the red spaceman is. Maybe Denny?
- BATMAN APPARENTLY GETS ROPED INTO MARRYING QUEEN WATEVRA
- I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING
- According to a recent news article on SlashFilm.com: "Everyone knows that Batman (Will Arnett) flies solo — except when he's fighting in the Justice League, or when he's adopting a legion of orphans that become his close-knit found family, or when he's partying with Alfred. But the one thing that stays constant with Batman: he's a bachelor, or a Bat-chelor if you're feeling wild. Until now. The arrival of Queen Watevra WaNabi shakes things up for Batman, who is roped into marrying the new character and is potentially okay with it."
- I MEAN
- WOW
- DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING
- okay but to be totally honest the more I think about it that could actually be really cute? If this movie is about Finn's sister taking Emmet and the gang (or perhaps just Lucy and friends, at first) to her room—then they'll likely have adventures that a girl would send them on. As a girl, I can confirm that we do tend to marry off our toys when we’re little.
- According to several more recent news articles and the Wikipedia page, Finn's sister's name is Bianca.
- The "main song" for the movie is "This Song's Gonna Get Stuck Inside Your Head"
- spoiler alert: it's catchy
- To get to the Systar System, what do Emmet and Rex Dangervest have to cross? The Stairgate.
- some of the news articles have really great quotes??
- my favorite so far has been CNET's Lego Movie 2 Review, which has sentences like:
"Seriously, the whole endeavour is a crazy moebius strip of postmodern recursive metatextuality. With songs.” and "Jeez, just because kids can work an iPad at six months old, apparently they're expected to get Baudrillardian simulation theory."
- A++ to whoever wrote that article; it's fantastic and I'm still laughing
- SlashFilms quotes the official synopsis as being:
"The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, "The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part," reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are."
- it’s in theaters on February 8 and it's going to be AWESOME
(This is by no means a complete list. If you know any more details, please reblog with additions as the movie's release date approaches! Or even after it's past! Go wild! Linked references and pictures are awesome, too.)

Man I know it’s not great but tbh I really relate to Will Arnett in that NYT Arrested Development interview. His “I once keyed Jason Bateman’s car!” is exactly the kind of stupid, desperate, and completely inappropriate kind of joke I make in tense situations when I think the people around me are going to start fighting.
I’m willing to guess that he also comes from a loving but semi-dysfunctional family that once heard “humor is a higher-level coping mechanism” and decided to run with it for thirty years and use it in place of any type of meaningful communication.
