It definitely wasn’t the nicest day out, but it also wasn’t an ugly day. There was a breeze coming and going and although it was summer, the sun was mostly hidden behind the clouds. Still, although it was a little bit cold for summer, it was still warm enough for people to be out and about. Ashy didn’t mind. Although she’d long gotten used to the sun and its rays on her skin, gotten her body to the point where she no longer burned (and hadn’t for decades now), it was always that little bit nicer when there was a little less sunshine.  

The Vampire carried a big bag with 2 thermoses of blood. One for her and one for her brother. It’d been quite a while since she’d seen Elliot, and after so long together before, she missed him. She always did when they parted, off doing their own things in the world, both going into medicine even! She was proud of him of course, but still wish they could meet more often.

However, that wishful thinking wasn’t needed today, with their planned meeting to catch up in the park. There were picnic tables there so they could sit, drink, and catch up. The thermoses looked like reusable water bottles, so no one should even look twice at them. All Ashley had to do now was sit and wait. She was a bit early.

Hogwarts Verse

Ashley Rodriguez - 4th - 7th Year - Gryffindor

A.N: This is a verse for Ashy in which she is not a Vampire but rather a Witch.

Ashy Rodriguez grew up in Spain for the first almost-11 years of her life. She was born into a magical family which lived in a magical town and so witchcraft and wizardry were very common. Still, being accepted into Hogwarts was not.

Her older sister, the eldest of all 5 children, received her letter first, to the grave surprise of their parents. Of course, they’d known of Hogwarts, but neither parent had gone, as neither received a letter, instead going to a more known and common Wizarding school in the capital of Spain. Hogwarts was very well known with the Second Wizarding War ending there only 3 years prior. There was debating on whether or not their daughter would be safe there, but ultimately, they allowed her to go. It was just too good of a chance for the best education she could possibly get. The next year, Ashy’s older brother, the second born of 5, received his letter. And then, finally, a year later, she got to go as well.

A short time into her first year, as the excitement of it all was wearing off slowly, Ashy started to become ill. She would spend most of the first 2 months in the Hospital Wing, only then to be sent to a hospital for proper and more official diagnosis. The doctor there said she had Crohn’s disease, and although there was no magical cure for it, there were quite a few magical treatments that could make her feel better, and keep her Crohns in remission. It wasn’t the cheapest, but her parents figured it out, and she was even able to finish the year with top marks, as was normal and expected for her.

In her 5th and 7th years, respectively, Ashy would go on to take the required O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts to help her become a doctor in the UK after she was done with school at Hogwarts. Since her short stay at the hospital in her 1st year, she’d wanted to go into medicine, as to help others like how she was helped. She can often be found in the Hospital Wing helping when and where she can.

Modern-Day Human Verse

This is a very simple verse for Ashy in which she is a human instead of a Vampire. Instead of being born in the early 1800’s, she was born in the 1990’s, and was given the birth name ‘Ashley Rodriguez’.

Around her 11th birthday, she still got sick but would go on to be diagnosed and treated for Crohn’s disease. Similar to her original canon, Ashy was born and raised in Mexico. The doctor who would diagnose her, a GI specialist named Doctor Cullan, was located in America, and so, her family immigrated there despite not really having the money to do so, they figured it out in the end. This led the young girl to want to become a doctor when she grew up, to be just like the doctor who saved her life.

In this verse, Ashy went to medical school after high school on an almost-full scholarship because of her grades. The remaining costs hurt her family quite a bit, but her parents never let their children see it. She grew up with 4 siblings, 2 older and 2 younger, and is the only one, at least so far, to go to University (her older siblings going to College, one to become a teacher and the other a security guard). She is currently in her first year of residency.
