The Future is An Attitude Born to conquer the craziest rally class of all time was the Audi S1 Quattro, bringing all wheel drive to off-road stage and setting the record up Pikes Peak. That was then, and this is now. Even with Group B discontinued and things like an engine being obsolete, the S1 Hoonitron brings a new electric edge to the familiar iconic styling. Ken Block presentó su nuevo vídeo para YouTube en una nueva edición de la tradicional Gymkhana que lo hizo famoso. Esta vez es su primer trabajo junto a Audi y con el nuevo prototipo eléctrico que desarrollaron juntos, el Audi S1 Hoonitron. El escenario escogido fue el famoso Strip de Las Vegas.

El auto hace homenaje a los Audi S1 Quattro Pikes Peak que dominaron la Subida de Pikes Peak en los 80 y sin dudas es un buen reflejo de la potencia y locura de ese auto, logrando imágenes impresionantes en el video de Block.

“Con el S1 Hoonitron abrimos un camino completamente nuevo en Audi”, dice Oliver Hoffmann, miembro de la Junta de Desarrollo Técnico de Audi. “Desarrollar un prototipo completamente eléctrico para los requisitos únicos de nuestro socio Ken Block fue un desafío grande y emocionante que todo el equipo asumió con gran éxito.
