LIS Audio July Feature – 2023 Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack Full Audio Upgrade

Our client wanted to upgrade the entire factory Alpine stereo system in his 2023 Dodge Charger Scatpack 392, and we obliged. Read over the rest of this article to see just how we went about stepping this audio system way up!

DS4420 I2C audio volume controller, try 2 🎵🔊🔧

We started this breakout for the DS4420 (https://blog.adafruit.com/2021/01/15/ds2240-qt-breakout-routing-timelapse/) I2C-controllable audio volume chip. We got it working but noticed late that it's a 5V-power-only chip and shouldn't be run from 3.3V. Then the parts shortage hit hard, and we couldn't get more samples, so it went on hiatus! But now we're about to get tons of DS4420 chips (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/analog-devices-inc-maxim-integrated/DS4420N/1769257) - so we're respinning it. This time with an AP3602 switched-capacitor booster (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/adafruit-industries-llc/3661/7915572) to give a nice 5V power rail. Coming soon.

I Fucking Forgot Introloop Audio https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/audio/introloop-51095 though this is mostly used exclusively in the AudioController for managing music in like a handful of lines so it's also easily replacable if you don't want to use it

Also I should probably post abt it here since I mentioned it on Twitter but tggtmdx is Unfortunately Cancelled for a lot of reasons but mostly this game is like huge and after working on it for so long I gotta Move On lol. I’m being a bit nonchalant abt it at this moment bc im tired but I do want to just make other shit for once and I gotta put this one in particular behind me. I’m still kind of processing the decision but I think it’s what I need.
