A standard-blend Hagsrak warrior standing before a burning Ostalyakian Village, 859 AGM (after Great Migration).

this artwork depicts an unfortunately very common occurrence during the Great War, in which Hag forces as well as their Hagsraks (genetically modified, shapeshifting super-soldiers bred by the Hags for war) would descend upon eastern settlements (mostly consisting of Frenators, at the time) and tear them to the ground.

After a few years, this major conflict ended with the Hag empire imploding upon itself rather than pressure from any external force. The enslaved Hagsraks rebelled upon their creators and drove them to total extinction, finally ending the war for good.

There are still Hagsraks around today, albeit in very low numbers. Most live quiet lives among the ancient ruins of their forefathers' empire, whereas a small few hide in plain sight, magically disguised to assimilate with the three other peoples of Khalodna. As such, we will never really now how many there are for sure.

Gary rounds out the team of mechanics that takes care of the Little Bird. A little fitting for the guy that’s mechanical himself. Gary is an Atistke, a species that modifies themselves to serve certain roles. Or. Modifies their young to fit into the Enithian Caste system? Either way, Gary is an E-255 model, commissioned on and made to repair a space station. When he was no longer needed on that station, he found more work on other stations. And other stations. And other stations, until he and Cereza hit it off.

The two of them travelled and worked together for years, even getting legally pair ponded, before being hired for the Little Bird. Gary isn’t particularly close to anyone onboard outside of Cereza, even though he’s friendly with just about everyone. Except T-132. Despite being the same species, those two seem to hate each other…

I’ve been thinking… fairies that mimic whatever they’re living in/with.

Your average tree fairy (a fairy living in a tree) grows to about the size of an adult person’s arm, but an ancient redwood tree can have a fairy guarding it that’s taller than a human. Most plant dwelling fairies are bug-like in nature due to a similar lifestyle.

Tiny flower fairies that range in size from a person’s palm to their smallest finger nail. Instead of having a bark-looking exoskeleton like tree fairies, they have much more plush human skin. Same goes for most ferns and other small plants.

Cactus and thorny vine fairies.. yowch. They have some nasty sharp bone protrusions, but depending on the plant are either rather laid back or constantly on the move.

Types of animal-caring fairies that are the same size as their animal and look more mammalian than bug-like to blend in with them. Some don’t even have wings.

A forest fairy who calls the whole wooded area their territory — slowly but surely growing large enough to rival the megafauna so they can more easily traverse all of it.

Fairies would be extremely adaptable and versatile beings — able to grow (or shrink) and change within a month of living in a new environment. More recently, they’ve begun moving on from natural things.

A clockwork fairy that looks like an intricate little machine, but those lacing layers of metal are actually polished bone structures.

A steel fairy that sits in a melting vat most of the day because their body hardens into a solid whenever they’re not under extreme temperatures for too long.

Airplane fairies look like giant mechs — flying with turbine engines via fuel they refine with foods in their stomach.

Most importantly: a fairy befriending a human. Spending so much time with them that they begin to morph into a more human guise. They smile softly at the little changes in themself as they realize even their body is starting to react to how badly they want to stay with them.

Idk where I’m going with this, but more fairy diversity than just a humanoid with bug wings, pls!

Immune system go brr

A few designs I’ve done since I had this mutated brainchild back in October. I have others like eosinophil and dendritic but I wanna redraw them. I was still learning the way of the cell creature back then lol.

[Start ID: The first image shows the AU design for U-1146. The background is white with a gray triangle pattern. He’s wearing his usual uniform, but he has a rounded, noseless snout, long ears without holes, and his one eye that is showing has black sclera and a round silver iris. His skin, turned cell membrane, is pure white with faint gray striped that resemble the markings of a raccoon. He has a tail with the same colors, it’s long, skinny, and has multiple lobes on it. Who on the very end, and a few dorsal lobes along its length. Again, like a raccoon, the tail has those faint stripes on it. He’s standing and staring at the viewer with his one visible eye, with his left hand in a fist, and the other gripping a silver knife. There’s some text next to his head that reads: “Only has one eye, and it can’t un-dilate so he always has that big sauger pupil we see in the media.” Another text box reads “Some raccoon inspiration because the official art makes it look like he has an eye mask.” There’s a piece of this official art in the top left corner of the image for comparison, and in the bottom right, there’s my watermark.

The second image shows Killer T Cell’s design. The background has an orange-yellow triangle design. He’s standing with his usual uniform, head turned and arms crossed. He doesn’t have bones, though, so his arms look more like they’re tied in a knot. He keeps his canon skin tone and hair style, but his membrane has dark blue markings that make him resemble a peregrine falcon. He shares the basic physical features with U-1146, except his tail is thinner and only has two small lobes on the end. His tail is yellow, like his hair, and has an arrow pointing from it to a picture of a banana flavored Snack Pack pudding package, noting that his tail looks a lot like banana pudding by humorously noting “Is it worth it?” Unlike 46, T’s hazel eyes are made up of multiple pupils that coalesce like a lava lamp, and this is true for all future entries as well. Again, there’s my watermark and an actual picture of killer t for reference.

The third image shows Macrophage’s design, and a cream-colored triangle background. Macrophage has large, frilled ears, and a darker cell membrane that looks almost like light coffee. She’s wearing her normal ruffled dress, but instead of legs, she has long tentacles without suckers, built almost like Ursula. She’s covered in white patterns with ripple-like stripes and spots, resembling a cuttlefish. With her right arm and one of her tentacles, she’s holding her signature cleaver, dripping with red blood, which also stained another tentacle and parts of her dress, and the other arm is held up to her face in an “I didn’t do that!” pose. She’s accompanied by a picture of anime Macrophage and a microscope photo of a real macrophage, reaching out with its “arms” to some bacteria. There’s a text box under it that reads: “like come on I HAD to make her a sea monster, have you seen real macrophages? Look at this bitch.” Another box reads: “lots of cephalopod inspiration, octopus-like build with cuttlefish markings and frills.” A final humorous box says “it’s ok she just had to refill the ketchup at McDonald’s,” referring to the blood.

The fourth image featured NK’s design with a green patterned background, as are the following images. She keeps her skin tone and clothes for the most part, but she has a centaur-like build. Her black tank top is extended to cover her chest and has short sleeves for her first set of legs, and ends with a belt around her midsection to her green shorts. She has green boots on all four of her feet, and her tail is black with green splotches, and has lots of lobes, almost like that of a leafy sea dragon. She has army-green spots resembling a cheetah, and she’s smiling and looking confident, with her left hand in a fist. She has her saber in a sheath on her back, and a brown bag secured to her belt like a saddlebag. There’s an arrow pointing to the photo of anime NK from a text box that says “there is something about this SPECIFIC png of NK that cracks me up sm and I don’t fucking know what it is.”

The fifth image shows Helper T, who shares many basic traits with Killer T such as bipedalism and a two-loved tail. While he still has the creature features like the big ears and rounded snout, he’s race-swapped as a black man, and has dark stripes along his arms and face like a peacock. His eyes are blue, and he’s holding a cup of green tea, dropping a cookie in it. There’s a small figure showing that his hair (flagella) are each coiled rather than straight.

The final image shows B cell’s design, which has a lot of bird inspiration. He has a longer snout, plumed tail and ears, and big flat lobes along his arms that look like wings. His eyes are silver md his stripes are brown and green, patterned like that of a blue jay. He’s also holding his antibody gun. A text box reads: “Bird boy! B cells were first discovered in birds and are named after the bursa of fabrics, a thymus-like organ for B cells that only birds have.” There’s also a note that says “face shape inspired by the Hilda bird because look at him,” accompanied by a screenshot of the raven from the Netflix series Hilda. He has a simple, completely black design with a rounded face, stick-figure legs and small wings. End ID.]

stopping by once again to say i am enamored with where you've taken the 666 series. BRO TRANS VOX🙏🙏 one of your prev anons made me realize why ive been so arjfhfjjxhfjf about your portrayal of vox's identity like. it resonates with me so deeply (as in it isnt something he generally thinks about/wants to be an integral part of the persona he presents to other people). AND your exploration of al's asexuality is hitting a little too close to home as well. not sure if it's possible to put a spot on my kinlist for ONLY your 666 specific characterizations of these two

Ahahaha, I'm really glad it's resonated with you! I think there are just about as many different ways to be as there are people, and the dominant narrative that we tend to see online, while super valid, isn't necessarily always the most comfortable one for everyone! That's part of the fun of exploring different characters for me, especially when it comes to personal identity and how one feels about oneself.

Anyway, that's all to say: thank you! I'm very invested in trans Vox and I'm absolutely delighted that you're enjoying both him and Alastor's aroace experiences, and how both of those things intersect with them being, uh, absolutely deranged individuals, pfft.

half a sketch dump bc I've had these on the backburner for like... a week at this point 💀

The holy trinity. What I was trying to play with was Rinkalla having a weirder beard - the original concept for her hairstyle was that she's always wanting to do stuff with it. What I thought would be fun is if she had one of those giant, detailed, decorated beards you see in a lot of mesopotamian art. That and it'd make sense for the time period that homo mousike's in.

Solidifying Bugs + the lionflea redesign where I bit the bullet and went straight up dromaeosaur.

Bugs are 8 legged "mollusks" rather than being fully hardshelled, and due to not having a full carapace weighing them down, bugs got huuuuuuge, from being as small as our insects to being as big as elephants. They're pretty much nautiluses that got up on land and evolved to walk on their tentacles with concentric muscles rimming their muscle groups to add support, and they retained their shells as a beetle-like carapace on their backs. Wings are extremely common just like they are in our insects, coming from a derived antennae - The edges of wings are covered in the chemosensory hairs that allow them to smell and taste, and bug ear canals are at the wing-armpits, allowing them to create an external ear when their wings fold up around them.

The ancestors of lionfleas are these occasionally bipedal, beetle-mantis-ospreys that evolved their back limbs to become tails. Lionfleas began to lose more of their limbs as they became more and more bipedal, and during their "ground owl" period they doubled up on the chemosensing hairs both to smell better, but to muffle their flight, just like how owl feathers are fuzzy at the edges, too! Lionfleas can fly, but not for very long, but wings make them stupid scary jumpers.

Speaking of these osprey-beetle things, here's the development of another member of their clade...

Here's this post. I included this whole page because I find it so funny that you can literally SEE the progression happen. I even wrote out "holy shit" when it clicked bc i was losing my mind.

Anyways, the first half is the hypothetical birdguy-DJMM fanchild and the bottom of this page, along with this next picture, is the djmm alien I've been looking for.

Finally, I figured out a design that made a chin and nose necessary, and made the teeth-plates possible. It's only a bonus this guy turned out to be a cutie patootie.

It's a parrot! It's a squid parrot! It came from the same ancestral beetle that the beetle-osprey did, and it evolved wiggly teeth for dexterity and facial expressions. There's a GIANT socket where its teeth sit in, where it can be pulled up into the DJMM "teeth-plate" position, and down into an awful hooked beak position for tearing into prey. Originally it was a modest joint like it is in parrots to better hold things and pull in prey, but it got exaggerated to the point the two hooks can sit vertically just for the sake of seeming demure to other squid-parrots (and to exaggerate when they push their teeth out when they want to look scary).

Their skulls are actually super narrow and only comprise of their jaw, and can actually be pushed out of their face like a goblin shark! Deeply awful! Demonic little thing! however they're very cute. I dont think I'll make these ones sapient, I like them more as fun little animals (and an easter egg DJMM in the, yknow, DJMM alien setting)

Dirt skeleton!!! dirt skeleton yayyy dirt skeleton!!!!! I put these two seperately because I didn't want these two to be cropped. these are so nice doodles.

The dirt skeleton is completely devoid of romantic or sexual desire but he still enjoys being kissed by Comet because he sees it as her bonding with him and he is quite attached to her as well. He fundamentally doesn't understand romantic attraction and doesn't get it, but he does get that there's a bit of social weight to being kissed that he's fine with recieving.

Second doodle is him being stuck in the same position for 5 years to allow his bone to heal. The times the dirt skeleton has fractured bone above ground, his crying eventually becomes this constant, irritable frequency that pretty much gets everything to evacuate within its mile-wide earshot, which is quite convenient. People who get near his site of healing literally get annoyed by this unhearable, yet deeply uncomfortable frequency playing and leave. During this, he also stops percieving the world, blinding and deafening himself, as percieving the world as he experiences the worst pain he can feel becomes overstimulating.
