दोष की भागीदारी के आधार पर आयुर्वेद बवासीर को दो मुख्य प्रकारों में वर्गीकृत करता है:
वात-प्रधान बवासीर: इस प्रकार के बवासीर में सूखापन, कठोर मल और गंभीर दर्द होता है। इससे कब्ज और मल त्यागने में कठिनाई भी हो सकती है।
