I got to see Aurat for the second time in less than a year ^_^
For those of you unfamiliar, Aurat has come to prominence for being a goth band in which most of the lyrics are sung in Urdu, being fronted by Pakistani-American Azeka Kamal

Aurat: Zeher (2020)
All things Omega are proud to have witnessed Aurat from their beginnings. We’ve featured the Los Angeles’ outfit twice before, and now more people are thankfully taking notice of them. With two full-lengths, a few e.p.’s, singles, and several demos dealt about, last year’s Zeher shows them at their most active and powerful yet. They’ve combined all of their accumulative qualities of darkwave, synthwave, industrial, punk, and Eighties’ goth rock and made them even more cohesive and exciting. Zeher is always the jaquar on the prowl and that can be attributed to Gil Talbot’s flange-heavy bass and newcomers Nathalie Martin’s guitars and Victor Andrade on drums. The most essential element? Lead singer Azeka Kamal, who moans Urdu lyrics and that’s possibly a first in the darkwave world. At Zeher’s wildest, “Waiting For You” and “Suno Na” delivers the album’s most frantic and thunderous moments, even eliciting some high-pitched shrieks from Kamal. The only reprieve from this madness is “Oh My Love”, an ode to synthpop / new wave’s genesis that shines like Joy Division and Soft Cell, ending Zeher on a sweet nostalgic note. So far it’s their best to date, and with the new single “Khaar” opening the doors for their new album, we’re interested to see where Aurat is heading next.
