When we think about a teacher, memories of our childhood cross our minds. We can visualize ourselves playing the role of our teachers and trying to mimic them. If you are someone who is thinking to pursue teaching as a profession, in this episode Ms. Mugdha Shetye talks on understanding Teaching as a Career. Teachers are inseparable parts of an individual's growing up days and have a great impact on the thinking and behavior of an individual. A teacher helps a student develop Physically, Intellectually, and Morally. 

The educational route to becoming a teacher is; one can pursue Diploma, post-class 12th, any stream, one has an option of pursuing Diploma in Early Childhood Care Education, which is a one year course or else one can think of doing D.T.ED i.e. Diploma in Teachers Education, which is two years course post 10 +2 any stream. Further one can pursue Bachelors in Education which is known by the name B.Ed., though it is a bachelor’s course by the name the eligibility to enter this course is minimum Graduation in any stream, and entry to this course is purely based on the clearance of entrance exams conducted by various States and Institutes.

 The duration of the course is two years. Interested candidates can pursue higher qualifications like M.Ed. or if they want to teach at college or university level they can clear Entrance Exams like NET or SET conducted by UPSC. Some institutes offer integrated courses as B.A or B.Sc. B. Ed. You may have to clear the relevant entrance exam for seeking admission in this course. The duration of this course is five years. To become a teacher one needs to possess certain personality traits. Apart from having good grasp on subject, one needs to have keenness to take up the responsibilities, good amount of patience’s and perseverance, most importantly good communication skills, listening skills, knowledge and passion for the subject they wish to teach, ability to build a caring relationship with students, friendliness and approachability, excellent preparation and organization skills.

 The job prospects for teachers are quite good one can seek employment in Play Schools, Nursery Schools, Primary or Elementary Schools, Secondary schools, Colleges, and Universities. One can work with Educational Research institutes, self-employment by starting Institutes or Tutorials. One can also specialize in special education and handle children who have some disabilities like vision problems, mental retardation or physically handicap children. The market is always in need of competent teachers. With the emergence of public and private schools everywhere and the rise of private institutes and universities, the need for professors and lecturers its an all-time high. Teaching is not just verbal and face to face, it has developed into E-Learning modules an online web teaching strategies as well. Therefore job prospects are higher for those who want to take up teaching as a career. What is SAP Fico? 

SAP FICO is a module of SAP ERP used for financial reporting. It is used for external and also internal financial reporting in SAP ERP. SAP FICO contains two modules, SAP Finance (FI) and SAP Controlling (CO). But nowadays people prefer these two separate modules in one module called SAP FICO. Because of are now so tightly integrated people simply refer them to one module. FI stands for financial reporting & accounting and CO stands for cost planning and monitoring.

SAP FI Modules-

SAP FI allows organizations to create financial statements for reporting and analysis. Balance sheets or profit & loss statements are types of financial statements. Below are several sub-modules that handle specific accounting processes of SAP FI.

General     Ledger Accounting-     It contains the Company’s Transaction data in a chart of accounts with     debit and credit account records validated by a trial balance.

Accounts     Payable-     The transactions with vendors and managed vendor accounts are involved in     Accounts Payable. It signifies a company's onus to pay off a short-term     debt to its creditors or providers within the general ledger.

Accounts     Receivable-     The balance of money unpaid to a firm for goods or services delivered or     used but not yet paid for by clients. Accounts receivables are recorded on     the balance sheet as a present asset.

Asset     Accounting-     The Company’s fixed assets, such as buildings, heavy equipment, and land.     Transactions contain transfers, revaluations, depreciation, sales, and     retirement. Asset Accounting manages all transactions.

Bank     Ledger-     Bank Ledgers deals with all of the company's bank account transactions and     data. It can reunite transactions recorded on bank statements and compare     them with the transactions in the system.

Consolidation- It enables the linking of     financial statements for many entities within an organization.

Funds     Management-     It manages expenses and budgets for revenues within your company and also     tracks these in the area of responsibilities.

SAP CO Modules

SAP Controlling shows a substantial role for the management decision making and CO Module is used for the internal reporting purpose. Controlling Area is the organizational unit used to signify the regulatory activities of Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability, etc. Below are some sub-modules of SAP CO. 

Cost Element Accounting- Cost Elements provides an overview of the company’s costs and revenues. A company’s cost and revenues are based on profit and loss statements it is also known as income statements. 

Cost Center Accounting- Cost Center pacts with the costs associated with the company's inner divisions or departments, such as human resources, marketing, sales, or production. 

Profit Center Accounting- Profit Center handles the cost data allied to the company's business lines. It pacts with both expenses and revenues -- unlike Cost Centers, which deals only with expenses.·        

Internal Orders- Internal orders are cost objects that act as temporary cost collectors for short-term ventures. There is no standard ladder for internal orders, however, they can be grouped.

Product Cost Controlling- It accomplishes data about the costs essential to produce the company's goods and services. Product costing exploration can help be able to manufacture costs and optimize effectiveness.

SAP FICO is a certification degree Course that deals with the Finance and Cost controlling module in SAP ERP where FI represents Financial Accounting and CO represents Controlling. SAP FICO module covers practically all business cycles experienced in different industries.
