PM Modi on Thursday accused Congress government in Rajasthan of being “sympathetic to terrorists”, and said that the appeasing nature of the ruling party can prove lethal to the state. He also said that the frequently occurring terror incidents, including the murder of Kanhaiya Lal last year, are incidents that could harm the heritage of the state.

During an election rally in Udaipur, while addressing the crowd, PM Modi said, “The terror act in which Kanhaiya Lal was killed in Udaipur is a blot on the Congress government. This heinous crime took place because a party that sympathizes with terrorists is in power.”

The number of such shameful acts in the recent time in Rajasthan has been high, he added.

On June 28, 2022, the murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal made national news headlines. It was a revenge crime where two assassins murdered the tailor for showing support to BJP leader Nupur Sharma, who had made contentious remarks earlier.

PM Modi also addressed the state government's decision to impose a ban on the Ram Navami procession and Kanwar Yatra while allowing the Popular Front of India (PFI) to hold rallies. “Who would have thought that such a situation would arise here… The Congress government has committed this sin,” he said.

Mr. Modi also addressed the issue of migration wherein it has been noticed that several people from the poor areas of the state are moving to other states. The PM said that if Congress remained in power, more people would migrate, vacating Rajasthan.

Finally, counting Congress’s list of failures, Modi said, “In the fight for the chair, Congress lost sight of public issues”. “The sole agenda of the Congress is to loot the State and fill its coffers. The party could not survive without corruption,” he added.

Congress says BJP organizing personal attacks on judges!!!

This Wednesday, Congress accused the BJP of encouraging and endorsing personal attacks on judges. It said that the objective behind such campaigns is to demoralize, pressure, and terrorize the judiciary. The Congress charge comes after a day after a group of concerned citizens including bureaucrats and former judges criticize the supreme court observations against suspended BJP member Nupur Sharma.

The opposition party alleged that the statement made her was drafted with the blessings of the PM’s office. Congress and Rajya Sabha spokesperson named Abhishek Singhvi said that “The attacks on judges are not random and piecemeal incidents. Rather they are organized, standardized, and institutionalized. The trolling messages from these trolls are extended, encouraged, and endorsed by BJP leaders and their supporters. And the main objective behind such running campaigns is to demoralize, pressurize and terrorize the judiciary”.

He added “We will not let this matter rest. We are going to follow this and expose the BJP for its complete hypocrisy for subverting institutions of constitutional governance for subverting the pillars of our democracy”.

This week earlier, a Supreme court judge named justice J B Pardiwala who was a judge of the bench refused the entertain a plea by Sharma to club multiple FIRs against Nupur Sharma when she passes a statement about the prophet and had expressed concern over the use of digital and social media for expressing personalized opinions against judges.

To argue this, the supreme court had rightly and correctly called out her for her arrogance and lack of regret for her inflammatory remarks. To this Abhishek Singhvi said that a responsible party currently running the government would have done some introspection and recalibration. He says, “An organized army of trolls was deployed or manufactured that spread fake news regarding the judges, with fake and distorted photographs being shared to demonstrate a false proximity with leaders of the congress”.
