pairing: slytherin beater!riki x hufflepuff chaser!reader

against the ache in your heart telling you to block riki out of your mind, you found yourself picking at your nails outside the closed door of the advanced arithmancy classroom. this is where riki said he would be.

you took a long breath in, wondering if you should just turn back around. 

you feared that continuing to be around riki would only betray the logic in your brain screaming at you to dislike the boy. you didn’t even want to think about it at all- yet here you were, his persistence making it difficult for you to drop anything.

pushing open the aged wooden door, you were met with the gazes of two slytherin boys. riki’s stare lingered on you, relief all too evident, while jay focused his attention back to the pensieve, controlling the silver mist that danced in the basin with his wand.

“you came,” riki said, words airy with a grateful smile playing at his lips.

“i did.” you curtly nodded. you were rather awkward as you tried to break eye contact with him by examining the classroom. advanced arithmancy wasn’t a class available for the sixth years, so the setting was foreign.

“shouldn’t there be a professor here?” you said skeptically, suspicion not so much pointed towards their intentions but more so at the possibility of unlawful use of the pensieve. 

you weren’t trying to get yourself put on a suspension for using an unpermitted object dedicated for the seventh years’ studies.

“technically, yes,” jay spoke up, beckoning you both to approach the pensieve, “but lee gave me the green light to use it without him.”

“professor’s favorite,” riki leaned to the side to whisper to you, having the gall to joke around like everything was normal between you. and you hated how you almost laughed.

you stiffened as you took your place besides riki to look at the low mist of the pensieve.

“there's not much to see since we haven’t extracted his memory out yet,” jay reminded as you both tore your eyes away from the basin. “go ahead and think of the memory i need to siphon. you really need to focus.”

riki stood up a little straighter, eyes narrowing at you. there was a thoughtful frown playing at his features as he opened his mouth to say something.

“let me make sure i have the right day-” he looked at you with a sincerity you hadn’t been often acquainted with before, not from him at least. “days after our first match against each other, in the courtyard?”

you nodded in approval, “sunoo was comforting you over your team’s loss.”

his eyes closed, deep in thought and trying to draw that memory closer. after a few seconds, he spoke up.

“i got it, try it jay.”

cautiously, jay took his wand and placed it against riki’s temple. there was a brief pause before a blue mist emerged from the connecting point.

you watched as he siphoned out the memory slowly, the haze seemingly being pulled out from his mind in ribbons and transferred into the basin. it didn’t take very long for riki to open his eyes and gaze expectantly at the swimming pool of wisps below the both of you.

“now all you have to do is have some part of your body touching the mist, so just put your hand in or something,” jay recited the basics of what he remembered from his class demo, “-and don’t tell lee since i’m supposed to be supervising you two, but i’ll step out for you to talk after. i’ll be outside if you need me.” 

he took his leave. you hardly registered the distant patter of his footsteps signaling his exit as you watched the pensieve swirl with a pit in your stomach. there was a soft nudge to your side. you looked up to see the boy beside you raising an eyebrow.

“ready?” 

you gulped. 

“let’s see it.”

as soon as you reached your hand in the mist, it felt like it was engulfing your body. a chill crawled up your arm and rapidly overtook your vision as the space around you morphed before you could even process it.

before you could even blink, you were no longer standing in the bleak seventh year arithmancy classroom and instead met face to face with a much more youthful version of kim sunoo in the courtyard.

it was an overcasted october morning with students making their way to their first classes of the day. the chatter was lively around the two of you and you spotted a few familiar faces in the passing crowd.

in the distance, you could see little first year you and eunchae chatting beside one of the stone pillars. it took everything in you not to crinkle your nose at the sight of seeing you so young.

you were able to zone into the conversation between sunoo and riki as they started walking, attempting to get used to being in his point of view for the time being.

“-c’mon man. even though slytherin lost, you still did great!! i mean, what other first year is doing this!” sunoo grinned at you– er. riki, to be clear, as they walked down the side of the court. he was trying to console the (what you assumed to be) pouting boy who’s view you were inhabiting. 

“..not true.” you could decipher a grumble from riki. there was a drawl in his pace, dragging his feet with every step he took.

“what do you mean??” his friend genuinely asked. 

“yn ln.” he muttered. “she’s also a first year. only difference is, she won- well, her team did.”

they were approaching the spot you lingered at, eunchae having scurried off somewhere to talk to someone else effectively leaving you on your own. 

past-you was slightly obscured by the pillar and you sucked in a breath as the scene was about to play out.

“the hufflepuff girl? yeah, her team might’ve won, but is she any good?” their pace quickened, realizing class was about to start soon. by this point, they had passed a few feet beyond your pillar.

riki shrunk, memories of his recent game flashing in his mind, before straightening back up and gaining a self-righteous air.

“she’s okay. only for being half as good as me, though.” his voice faded off as they increased their distance from you, who softly gasped, only having heard the most unfortunate snippet.

the memory extracted by the pensieve faded at that point, returning you wided-eyed and in shock in the dusty classroom. 

hesitantly, you retracted your arm from the lingering remnants of haze. any fragments or phrases you could possibly muster up to say died in the back of your throat as you blinked foolishly at the boy you had been hating for years over a misunderstanding.

“believe me now?” 

you stared at riki’s sheepish smile. there wasn’t any hint of pride over being right, no ‘i told you so’ hidden up his sleeve, and no malice in his expression– just genuine relief.

“i’m so sorry,” you blurted out, scrambling for the right response, “oh my god, i’m so sorry. i misheard you this whole time!”

he looked surprised at your sudden admission, quick to shake his head and clarify.

“hey, don’t be. you may have misheard me, but i wasn’t being fair to you at all. all these years i was just being an asshole, i don't think it matters what started it anymore.” he frowned, looking down at his feet, “and besides, if not for that reason in specific, i’ve given you thousands of others over the years. i would get it if you still decided to hate me after this.” 

it baffled you how he was adamant on taking fault in this situation even still.

“nishimura riki, i certainly don’t hate you.”

his eyes snapped up to yours in shock, owlishly blinking. if the tension wasn’t so thick, you would’ve laughed over him treating this as a confession of sorts. 

“you don’t?” his gaze held an intensity you weren’t expecting, causing you to shift in your spot and flicker your focus to the side in order to give him a further explanation.

“i haven’t hated you for a while,” you clarified, “even when my memories returned, i tried really hard to– but i couldn’t. i couldn’t help but feel like i should trust you despite everything telling me i shouldn’t. that’s why i turned to ignoring you so i wouldn’t feel so conflicted.”

“but i tricked you.” he stated sharply, not sure himself as to why he insisted on finding reasons to remind you to hate him. its as if he couldn't believe it himself- you being so willing to forgive him.

“that time on the astronomy tower, were you tricking me then? or whenever you consoled me when i felt so stuck?”

“of course not.” 

“exactly,” things seemed to be finally aligning for the two of you as you spoke, “listen, i’m not saying i agree with what you did, or think it was smart. but i am willing to start over.”

leaving behind misunderstandings, years of insults from both parties, and built up resentment, it was a tough ask. yet, for the both of you, that process had already begun before you even realized it.

riki broke out into a huge grin as he took both your hands, nodding at you in agreement.

“thank you so much! i promise i won’t fuck anything up this time.” he hardly processed that he was squeezing your hands in sheer joy before you squeezed them back.

“we’re starting at a blank slate now, so you don’t have much to fuck up on,” you tried to tease, but his smile was starting to influence one of your own to creep up on your face.

“you two months ago would totally disagree-” he reminded playfully.

“well thanks to your bludger throw, i’m not me from two months ago anymore!” 

he interjected. “--blank slate. alright!”

Longish post

25 BLE starts the morning after Kate and Jude sleep together. While Jude is still sleeping, Kate wraps a sheet around herself and explores his room because she's never been inside of it. As she's looking at all the books on his bookshelf, she doesn't realize that he's come up behind her. He hugs her from behind and calls her out for sneaking around his room.

He says it's fine though because he'll just do something in exchange for it, so he slides his hand down her waist before he rips off her sheet. He pinches her nipple with one hand and then slips a finger inside her with his other hand. He teases her verbally, and then Kate asks him if they're now a couple which surprises Jude.

He says she should know without him saying it, and she argues that some things can't be understood without words. Jude never says 'I love you' to her. Instead, he grabs her by the chin and kisses her with force, and marks a snarky comment that she turned red when she was kissed by a man who isn't her lover (he's implying he is her boyfie), and she says, "then we are a couple." Kate is satisfied with that because she never expected normal words of love from Jude.

Before she can kiss him, he pulls his finger out and says he's got a business meeting that morning. Kate, who is is now wet and horny, asks about the continuation. Jude laughs and tells her to finish off herself, and that's what she gets for cheating him. She asks if he's upset that she consulted Victor and the other Crown members instead of him, about staying at Crown. He says she can think what she wants to think and then leaves......

Darius asks Nica if Jude would be a good fit for their family, and Nica is like...uhhhh, no.

Jude also gives Victor heaps of paperwork and contracts to sign as his punishment for going behind his back to help Kate remain at Crown. Still, he thinks Jude is as vindictive and adorable as ever. Ellis says that up until now, Jude has never once been happy, but since it seems to Ellis that he's at his peak happiness, so he asks Victor if he thinks it's okay to kill Jude now. Victor laughs and says that he can kill him later. Ellis is disappointed, but agrees and then he tells Victor he's going to deliver something to Kate.

However, Kate is not at Crown because she is under cover as a new recruit for a criminal group that's been causing a ruckus lately, and who now have been using Raven Co's products for nefarious purposes. Jude isn't having that.

Kate is in a luxurious room filled with men, booze and smoke. Her part of the mission was to go undercover and steal confidential information, which she already has, so now she's just waiting for Jude's arrival to start his revenge as her signal to leave. But, a thug comes in and says that Jude's been captured, which surprises Kate.

Flash back to a few days before prior to the mission when Jude and Kate are reviewing the operation details, (in which Kate narrates that after they became a couple, Jude often randomly touches Kate, but it's also a regular occurrence that he does before each mission.)

So, we have a very touchy-feely boyfriend.

Any way, Kate repeats the plan to Jude. She'll be undercover for three days, and then he will show up at 8:00 pm on the third day. He asks if she remembers her promise she made to him, and she reiterates that she promises she won't die. Jude says that when it's all over he's going to make love to her until she's hoarse, but her improv skills suck so....

Kate denies that statement, and says that she can too improvise and adapt in any situation. Jude smiles and says he looks forward to it.

Back to the present, Kate realizes that Jude got caught on purpose because he wants to see what she can do. This both annoys her that he'd do something like that to his girlfriend, and excites her because that means that Jude has complete trust in her abilities and he recognizes her. So, she calls out to her boss that she'll take care of Jude Jazza.

When she walks into the room where he's being held in handcuffs, the group is cheering for her to kill him gloriously, and she says to just leave it to her. Kate notices that although Jude looks beaten, his amethyst eyes are twinkling with a smile. She walks up to him and straddles his lap, points her gun at him and asks how she should kill him. The two quietly talk to each other as the people around them jeer for his death, and Kate suggests a bullet to the brain.

Jude says that's fine, but if that happens then she won't get her treat later on. Kate retorts that without her his life would be boring, and Jude admits that while may be true, he's going ruin her life for the rest of her life until they're in hell together. He'll never let her go. Kate says that's fine, they can suffer until they die, together.

His cuffed hands are hugging her waist, and before you know it he's got the cuffs removed, and Kate shoots her gun, and the both of them laugh and smile together as they bring down the criminal group, in his cycle of hatred and revenge.

Let's keep making unfulfilled promises to each other. -So long as I can dream the same dream as you.

The last two lines that finish the chapter are rough translations.

A Horror-ble Idea

Marinette paced in thought just outside the Liberty, a box clutched tightly to her chest. She knew it must’ve looked silly overthinking any sort of meeting with a close friend like Luka, but it was hard when it felt so much bigger this time.

Truthfully, she was perfectly happy where they were. They considered themselves best friends, frequently spent time together even if it was simply sitting next to each other while doing their respective hobbies, and were more physically comfortable than she imagined most friends were with each other.

At the same time, there are only so many instances where they could feed each other, “accidentally” brush hands, and cuddle without meaning to that she could still think, okay, but that doesn’t mean it’s mutual.

She tried to excuse it to herself for a while - all childhood friends are probably like that, Luka is just really affectionate, I’m just reading too much into it - but she had overthought it long enough. She wanted him, and if she was going to tell Luka how she felt then she wanted it to be grand.

Brave, to be more precise.

She must’ve been walking back and forth for a while, as footsteps from the Liberty signaled that someone had heard the constant clacking of her shoes. She paused, turning her attention to the sound to see Luka appear. He gave her a questioning look, probably waiting for her to speak first.

Having not planned for any of this yet (in her defense, she did think she could come up with something on the walk there), Marinette could only wave and greet him with, “P-permission to board!”

Embarrassment hit a second later, a groan escaping her as she hid her face with the box.

Luka chuckled good-naturedly, replying, “Aye aye,” before the sound of him setting up the gangplank followed.

Only when the sounds stopped did Marinette look up and walk across to him, nerves thankfully easing as they always tended to when she was close enough to him.

“Hi,” she greeted properly this time, complete with a shy smile.

“Hey,” he greeted back, glancing at the box in curiosity but not prodding about it.

Fidgeting with it as an excuse to have something to do with her hands and keep herself from launching her body at him in a hug (later, she told herself), she explained, “Um, I won’t be here for long. I just wanted to ask you if you could hang out later tonight?”

“Sure—”

“For a sleepover?”

He paused, caught off guard. “Sleepover? Like when we were kids?”

She nodded. “Mhm. I missed doing them, so…”

“No, I…I missed them too,” he admitted with a reassuring smile, a hand going to the back of his head to toy with his hair.

“Really?” she blurted out, then immediately scolded herself for it. It was Luka, who always said how he felt. Of course he meant it. “That’s great!” She bounced in place, excited. “I already picked out a horror movie for us to watch!”

It took a second for the words “horror movie” to register with Luka. Having been friends for long, Marinette could read all the concern on his face and naturally understood it. Everyone knew that she hated horror movies and generally couldn’t deal with blood or gore, but it was all part of her plan.

At the very least, it was cute to see him worry.

“It’ll be okay!” She raised the box to him, wiggling it temptingly. “I even made us matching pajamas for it—!”

“Sounds good,” Luka cut in without missing a beat, the box suddenly gone from her hands. “I’ll see you tonight then.”

“And then—!” Marinette pumped her fists up in determination, staring at herself in the mirror for her second pep talk of that day. “I’ll impress him by showing off that I can handle horror movies!”

She looked off to the side, the back of her hand to her forehead as she imitated Luka’s voice to say, “Wow, Marinette, how’d you manage to get over your fear of horror?”

Reaching blindly behind her with her free hand, she pulled her chair close so she could collapse on it, the hand on her forehead dropping to her heart. She replied to herself, “Yeah, there were so many scary things in horror movies, but nothing was scarier than being apart from you for even a second.”

A moment of silence passed. Marinette covered her face and blushed, kicking her legs out wildly at the idea of trying to flirt like that.

This is no time to second guess yourself, she thought. You already went through so much effort!

Which was true. She’d been priming herself for eventual horrors to heighten her tolerance for it. She’d even gone so far as to look through Gabriel Agreste’s upcoming fashion line!

Truly, the deepest level of horror one could imagine.

“Are you sure you don’t want help?” Luka asked, almost pouting at her from his place on the couch.

“Yes!” She actually pouted at him, waving the question off. “I’m sure! You’re the guest!”

Making sure they had snacks and drinks for the both of them wasn’t an issue. She’d already prepared all of it beforehand, the biggest problem only being carrying the full tray to the table. As for the horror movie, she’d borrowed one from Juleka, who gave her a weird look but otherwise didn’t question it.

After bringing the tray all the way to the table, Marinette went back to shut off the lights, then hurried over to jump onto the couch and join Luka. On instinct, she snuggled against his side, hand resting against his thigh to press against the fuzzy fabric of his fluffy light blue pajama pants. He responded in kind, his arm wrapping around her waist while his hand secured her side.

…Maybe I really am stupid after all, she thought, realizing the position they were so comfortably in. Swallowing her hope down for the time being, she reached out for the remote and started the movie, Luka’s hand gravitating back to its spot at her side when she leaned back against the couch again.

The film itself started out tame enough. She wasn’t sure if Juleka had given her a more delicate horror movie (not that she thought there was such a thing in the first place: horror was horror) or if it was a slow build, but nonetheless steeled herself for the worst.

All she had to do was last for the whole movie without screaming. It was only an hour and a half or so, after all. Even if there was a lot of blood or something, surely she could handle that. Luka even bled once when they were eight and she’d patched him up with an assortment of cat-themed bandages without fainting even once.

She was sobbing hysterically and had nightmares about it afterwards, but still.

And at the end of the day, even horror movies were an art form just like any other movie, and she loved art. She could appreciate it artistically, thus distancing herself entirely from the—

…W-wow, they… they really made that look realistic. That corpse is… the visual artist did a great job on that. Yep. You can tell that body is definitely very, very dead…

Thirty minutes in, and Marinette was decidedly not okay. As she’d (poorly) prepared for, the movie did in fact have a deceptively-innocent opener, and everything after that was a rollercoaster that only went downwards.

Though at least with a rollercoaster, she’d be screaming in delight rather than terror, and she had to bite down her jumpscare-induced scream to the point where she thought she might bite her tongue in half.

Naturally, the mental image that thought brought only sent another wave of disgust through her. What started as her trying to appreciate the movie as an artist quickly turned her into a baker stacking on layers of denial and biting into a cake flavored with nausea.

Nausea on an empty stomach because she hadn’t even touched their snacks and drinks, frozen in place and unable to do much of anything.

She wanted out, her free hand squeezing the poor couch cushion underneath her to no reprieve. The only thing grounding her was Luka, his hand tight against her side and almost hurting her in the process, but that actually made it worse. If he were squeezing her side, the only explanation she could muster was that he knew she was still struggling and opted to comfort her wordlessly rather than address it and potentially embarrass her.

Trying to keep her face as neutral as possible, she looked up at Luka - partly to make an excuse about how she was only shaking because it’s so cold no really but also to get some relief with his handsome face - yet actual words ended up failing her at the sight.

Even in the limited illumination provided by the TV, it was obvious that Luka’s face had paled. His pupils were shrunken in as he stared ahead at the screen and he was blatantly biting down on his bottom lip. Even glancing at the hand that wasn’t against her side, it was in a tight enough fist that his knuckles were white.

“L-L…Luka…?”

He also had never failed to respond whenever she called his name before, not even once. It occurred extremely belatedly to her that Luka wouldn’t have let this go on for so long had she been as scared as she is, and the shaking that should’ve given it away was ignored based on one factor.

Luka was shaking as well.

“L-Luka!”

Movement returned to her body, her hand coming undone with her death grip on the cushion. Not caring nor particularly thinking about which button she might push, she leaned forward and slammed her fist down on the remote.

She only wanted it to end.

The movie blipped off, the sound cutting and screen flickering before turning black. It left them both in darkness for a second until a white text box appeared, telling her that there was no input detected.

The little bit of light allowed her to fix her shaky gaze on Luka again, who snapped back to reality at the realization that the movie had abruptly ended. She even caught the moment that his confusion turned to dread at what she must’ve witnessed to have done what she did.

“M-Marinette…” He trailed off, struggling for a response.

“You…y-you hate h-horror too?”

He avoided her eyes, staring off at things she was certain he couldn’t make out in the darkness. Her hand was still on his thigh and she squeezed for the both of them.

“…I thought you weren’t s-scared of horror movies anymore,” Luka eventually replied.

She couldn’t tell if he was evading or warming her up to his answer, but the night had gone in none of the ways she was hoping. Instead of a romantic atmosphere, they were both anxious and sick from what they’d just watched.

Exasperated at the situation, Marinette threw her arms up and admitted, “O-of course I’m still scared! Horror is—” She hesitated, mind slogging along pathetically slow, and ended up settling for, “—well, h-horrible! I just w-wanted to impress you!”

“You—you didn’t have to do that.” Luka shook his head. “I-I’m already impressed by you.”

Except that wasn’t all, was it? She was going above and beyond for a confession and now it was ruined. She pouted, lamenting, “Yeah, b-but…”

Rubbing her side with one hand, he used his other to pick up the one nearest to him. He took a long breath, trying to steady his voice before speaking again. “I’m sorry. This is my fault too. I…I should’ve said something.”

“Why d-didn’t you?”

It bothered her more than she’d admit out loud that she hadn’t known. She believed strongly that friends - even couples - should be allowed to have their own secrets, but not knowing about a fear, or at least what he hated? She’d hope to know those things even if it was simply to help him avoid them.

Luka took another breath, the words apparently difficult to get out otherwise. Meeting her eyes, he began with, “…You’re not the type of person to play a one-man band.”

“H-huh?”

“You bring so much beautiful music to everyone’s lives, but not everyone does the same for you. It takes a lot of effort to learn an instrument and play to someone else’s tune.”

She blushed. She couldn’t speak about the supposed beautiful music she brought, but it did take a lot of thought and determination to truly learn about someone. That didn’t make it work for her, but that didn’t mean it was easy either.

Luka turned to face her more, leaning down to be more level with her. Strands of blue and black brushed against one another as he pressed his forehead to hers, hesitant in his movements but passionate all the same. Marinette pressed back, welcoming the warmth and the rare contact that they hadn’t shared before.

He continued in a whisper, “Duets take everything up a level. It’s not enough to know or play the same way you always do: you have to be there for your partner and try to play the notes they can’t.”

There was something tender - vulnerable, even - in his words. Gears turned, things clicking into place in her head, and sky blue eyes reflected ocean blue ones as her hopes finally registered to her as reality.

Marinette reached up with both hands, grabbing onto Luka’s shoulders and pushing herself against him. He couldn’t even get her name out of his mouth before she used her weight to knock him down, leaving him breathless and laying against the cushions while her face was buried against his chest.

“I love you too,” she murmured, not caring if it was muffled or not; she knew he would hear her just fine.

She was close enough that she could feel his heart racing, his hands moving to rest on her back and keep her there like he wanted her to hear. She gripped the fabric of his shirt, her face hot at knowing that the heart rate had nothing to do with the movie they’d just watched.

Hers didn’t either.

“Let’s not do this ever again,” she said lightheartedly. “I’ve seen enough horror for the rest of my life.”

Luka hummed in agreement. “I don’t think that’ll stop Jule from watching them when I’m at home.”

“Then don’t be home. You can come here.”

He placed a hand down on the cushion, pushing himself up and wrapping his other arm fully around her to maintain their hold. “I’ll be home no matter what.”

She giggled affectionately, bringing her arms fully around him to return the embrace.

“…Marinette,” he began cautiously.

“Mm?”

He rubbed her back, the shake in his voice returning as he asked, “Can I stay…?”

The question sounded silly on the surface. They’d already agreed to have a sleepover and she’d had her lounge chair set up already to be as comfortable as possible, but his tone gave away the meaning underneath. She didn’t need to see his face to know he was blushing.

“…Yeah. Please.”

After putting their untouched snacks and drinks away (a consciously empty stomach was better than a forced empty stomach if the nausea didn’t go away), the two went upstairs, brushed their teeth and washed their hands with the sink in Marinette’s room, and completely passed by the lounge chair.

Luka settled himself into her bed like he was afraid of breaking it, yet somehow looked like he belonged there. Marinette slid in right next to him, legs wiggling and hands eagerly reaching out to welcome him. Project ROVER!

Project ROVER is a new robotic platform that is being developed in collaboration with Global Communication Services, GEC Engineering, WVLT, and Project ROVER for law enforcement and emergency use. ROVER is a small, four-wheeled robot that is equipped with a variety of sensors, devices, components and capabilities, including:

    BLE tracking: ROVER can follow officers into a building using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. This allows officers to enter a building without having to worry about losing track of their robot. This follow-behind technology allows an operator in a command center to see live video of officer movement and situational awareness.

    Live camera view: ROVER can provide an operator outside a building with a live camera view of the environment. This allows the operator to see what the robot is seeing and to give the robot commands.

    Software Defined RF Grid Mapping: ROVER can do RF Grid Mapping, which logs the RF signal strength against the LiDAR at points within the grid. This can be used to identify areas of poor RF coverage or to map out the location of radio-emitting devices.

   Software Defined Deployable bi-directional amplifier: ROVER can act as a deploy-able bi-directional amplifier for Land Mobile Radios in the 100MHZ to 3.2GHZ range. This can be used to improve the signal strength of radios in areas with poor reception.

   Software Defined Capabilities to stand up a ad-hoc cellular network for use to locate individuals during search and rescue missions.

ROVER is a versatile platform that can be used for a variety of law enforcement tasks, including:

    Search and rescue: ROVER can be used to search for missing persons or victims of natural disasters.

    Patroling: ROVER can be used to patrol areas that are difficult or dangerous for officers to access, such as high-crime areas or areas with hazardous materials.

    Evidence collection: ROVER can be used to collect evidence from crime scenes.

    Disaster response: ROVER can be used to help with disaster response efforts.

    Active Shooter Response: ROVER can be deployed to assist in active shooter response by providing live video, LiDAR mapping, and in-building radio coverage enhancement.

ROVER is still under development, but it has the potential to be a valuable tool for law enforcement. It is a versatile platform that can be used for a variety of tasks, and it can help to improve officer safety and effectiveness.

How ROVER Works
