I love that the board/strategy game analogy stuck around throughout the novel instead of just being like. a one off thing.

Anyway, the staff was a motherfucker to draw, since the only (good) reference I had was how it was described in the novel, and the small bit of it you can see on the novel cover. The way it was drawn in the manhwa was abysmal, honestly. I've got many gripes with it.

The lighting is... well, it's there. I was on a bit of a time crunch, since I go out of town soon, and I knew if I didn't finish this now, it was never gonna be completed

Made this fun little set of @mightbewriting ‘s Wait & Hope series for my best friend.

This happens to be my favorite dramione as well, and I’d already graciously been gifted a home-bind, so I was incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to put my spin on this. Put my whole heart and soul into this typeset.

Definitely made more work for myself, but I’m pretty happy with the outcome.

Let’s talk about the ouroboros and its connection to Orochimaru!

The ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon devouring its own tail. This symbolizes the alchemical and universal concept of eternal return and transformation. It suggests that nothing can be created from nothing nor destroyed; it can only be transferred. The ouroboros embodies eternity, infinity, cosmic balance, life, death, rebirth, and renewal.

More recently, Jung interpreted the ouroboros as a metaphor for the assimilation of the shadow. He proposed that humans slay themselves and then resurrect, constituting the secret of the prima materia (first matter). However, if one is not careful, the shadow/ego can consume them.

We all know that Orochimaru is based on the character of the same name from the Japanese folktale The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya. ‘Orochi’ itself refers to the eight-headed serpent of Japanese mythology, Yamata no Orochi. However, Orochimaru doesn’t simply mean ‘snake man’ as the internet often suggests. ‘Orochi’ (大蛇) doesn’t simply mean ‘snake’; it refers to a great serpent, similar to the dragon of the Christian apocalypse, Leviathan, or Jørmungandr. The suffix ‘maru’ (丸) isn’t just a random suffix used for male names; it’s a word for circle.

Orochimaru embodies the ouroboros, and it’s certainly fitting given his character’s obsession with hidden and forbidden knowledge, rebirth, immortality, and similar concepts. Throughout his constant state of reinvention, he sought to become prima materia and the ultimate being… ultimately being swallowed by his shadow/ego, only to be reborn and find balance.

Delusional means holding false beliefs, but what if you end up being right?

Everything in this show is using biblical end times symbolism, and the whole concept of team delusional is no different.

The lie is the truth concept is coming from this verse from Isaiah 5.20, who wrote this about the end times...

Lies are truth, and truth are lies.

The logical negation symbol reverses the truth of something. That's why the logical negation symbol was placed on a tree outside the CHURCH in Coda (end). Jesus was crucified on a tree.

The other thing they have copied is to repeat this biblical last day's sign associated with Christ's return...

Wait and Hope & Beginning and End by mightbewriting

Last week I finished this beautiful piece of literature and now I am here to express my love for it.

I have decided that there WILL be a Wait and Hope reread soon bc how can i read Draco’s perspective of their relationship in Beginning and End and NOT go back to consume the heartbreak he felt in the first book?? I need myself to go through that heartbreak with him. I need it more than air at this point.

I truly bow down to authors who can pull something like that off. Something that can be reread time and time again and create something even more heartbreaking as a second time read. It’s sooooo impressive and is something I’m not too sure I could ever do. This author did it PERFECTLY!!

HONORABLE MENTION TO THE SMUT!!! when I tell you the smut is good…boy you better believe me!! And the amount of times we get our favorite couple walked in on is - P E R F E C T I O N! I might be biased bc that is a strong favorite trope of mine but I fell for it every time Harry or Theo call our duo out for previous walk-ins all while catching Draco and Hermione basically do it all over again, repeating their past together.

Okay okay I could talk about this for years I think and I’ll stop here…but all I have to say is that this story shall go down in my personal fanfic hall of fame :)

If you were to add to “The Couch Collection” again, I would love to read the scene or scenes when Narcissa sends Hermione Draco’s favorite candy for her birthday. This is something that happens on W&H and B&E without explanation. Why did she do this? Was there a letter that accompanies the gift? Does a Malfoy house elf appear with them or is it delivered by owl? How does this recognition affect both Draco and Hermione?
