What are your ocs + Michael's first impressions on mc? 😋
Tumblr media
Hmm, I wonder. 😋 I'll throw these behind a Read More link because the post got a little long. Michael's part is a very short overview of a WIP in my drafts that's literally MC's first visit to the Celestial Realm and how he copes with it. lol
AZRA
His initial interest in MC is mostly superficial at first: their appearance, how MC reacts to his casual flirtations, whether MC tries to flirt back...
He knows that seducing the human exchange student is at the top of the list of things he probably shouldn’t do, but he just can't help himself.
(He’s also eager for literally any excuse to get on Lucifer’s nerves.)
His behaviour and feelings for MC change quickly when he actually spends time talking to them. It's not long before he's absolutely smitten.
ZEE
He doesn't really care about exchange program or its participants, but since it's his job, certain considerations have to be made: what sorts of food or drinks should the club add to the menu, is there anything unsafe for humans they should remove, do they need to hire more security staff while the exchange program runs?
As much as Zee doesn’t want to think about the angels either, any of the exchange students getting hurt at the club would be a disaster. The last thing he needs is Diavolo or worse, Barbatos, getting involved if something happened to the exchange students on club property.
He observes MC the first time they follow the demon brothers to the club. Based on how neglectful they are of MC’s safety and well-being, Zee takes it upon himself to ensure the human remains intact.
He tells himself that whatever happens to MC outside the club isn’t any of their business, but that changes quickly when he realizes MC is even more vulnerable once they leave and that could pose problems too.
KARASU
His primary assignment is analyzing how the exchange students use Devildom technology and how it can be improved.
MC's safety is also a concern, but he hopes knows Mammon is keeping an eye on them so he spends the first week focused primarily on the residents of Purgatory Hall.
Luke spends a lot of time researching demons and demon-like behaviour; his top searches are things like What to do if a demon… or Why are demons so…
Simeon is a technological nightmare that Karasu was not anticipating, and he needs a lot more personalized attention.
When Karasu finally interacts with MC on a more personal level - first through the AI, and then from his own device later as himself - he gets utterly swept away by the prospect of friendship.
TENEBRIS
He knows about the exchange program long before it starts - Diavolo could hardly contain his excitement for this next big step of RAD’s legacy.
Tenebris meets MC completely by accident, and he wasn’t very polite about it, but in his defense he had more important things on his mind at the time.
(He does recall seeing MC’s picture printed in the school’s newspaper later and hopes that he didn’t hurt or scare them too badly.)
If Tenebris suddenly agrees to come to RAD - as a student, of course - he tells anyone who asks that he’s simply curious about it. (It has nothing to do with protecting certain humans from ill-intentioned demons or good-for-nothing sorcerers.)
His watchful eye and cautious friendship with MC doesn’t go unnoticed.
METATRON
He's so excited to have a new human to talk to (that isn't Solomon) that he has to be reminded more than once not to overwhelm them.
He's genuinely curious about MC's life, where they're from and their family and friends and the types of hobbies they like and their interests.
Most of the angels are welcoming, but Meta is like a ray of sunshine that eagerly shows MC all the places in the Celestial Realm he thinks they'd enjoy: the library, his favourite dining hall, the gardens with the nicest flowers and the nicest lake if they want to go swimming.
Of course, he can't monopolize all of MC's free time - and when he eats dinner alone for the first time in nearly a week since their arrival, he realizes he already misses them, just a little bit.
MICHAEL
His feelings about MC and their arrival in the Celestial Realm are...complicated.
He's excited to finally meet them in person, and he's happy that they're as delightful as Luke and Simeon would lead him to believe.
But there's that uncomfortable feeling deep in his heart that he tries to ignore: jealousy, because MC has what he lost. He doesn't blame MC for being themselves, nor does he blame his fallen brothers for growing attached to the human that's helped them with so much. Still, emotions aren't always logical and for a time, it's difficult.
Thankfully, the more time he spends with MC, that jealousy and resentment fades. He appreciates their whimsical nature and kind heart, and he finally understands how a mere human could become as special to Lucifer as he once was.
It's only when MC prepares to leave back to the Devildom, that Michael realizes that he was powerless to resist them as the others were.

Enhancing Road Safety Through Technology in 2025
Introduction:
In 2025, Canada is accelerating the use of modern technology to improve road safety, especially for new and at-risk drivers. From AI monitoring tools to real-time driving feedback, the licensing system now embraces digital innovation more than ever.
Tumblr media
Key Points:
AI-Driven Road Testing Systems: Road test examiners now use AI-equipped tablets to monitor driver behaviour, instantly recording mistakes and issuing pattern-based alerts during exams. This ensures standardized and unbiased assessments.
Telematics Integration for Learners: New learners can opt-in to telematics programs that provide feedback on braking, speeding, and turning. The data, viewable via platforms like licenseprep.ca, helps both drivers and guardians track real-time performance.
Automated Hazard Simulation Training: Simulated environments mimic weather hazards, wildlife crossings, and urban traffic flow—available through certified driver training apps partnered with licenseprep.ca.
Vision Tech Integration: AI-based vision testing devices analyse eye movement and reaction times, ensuring medically fit drivers are licensed and flagged early for issues.
Digital Alerts for High-Risk Drivers: The system now flags repeated offenses and sends automatic digital notices to licensing center's, prompting reassessments or temporary restrictions.

in my pacific rim era (again) so after the sign, i present you pit babe jeffalan pacific rim au bc i have no self-preservation.
so shit hits the fan (again) and the jeager program is the last thing that stands between humanity and the end of the world as we know it (of course). the x-hunters are all jaeger pilots based in bangkok.
alan is the leader/captain/dude in charge (idk idc) of the bangkok dome. he is an ex-jaeger pilot (one of the first people to ever pilot a jaeger ever) who's not piloting anymore after losing his partner (yes, there's a recurring motif, shush).
jeff is one of their mechanics who is taking care of the machines. he is younger brother of charlie (babe's drift partner). he keeps to himself so most people don't even know he works there (your typical jeff behaviour)
something something pit babe (charliebabe jaeger) gets demaged really badly and jeff does his magic and make it work, using alan as his handy boy bc they're out of staff and alan if alan has two functional hands then he can fucking use them (jeff's words). alan falls in love immediately (jeff too but my boy is way too shy and stubborn for his own good). somehow alan manages to get his boy and they will fight the monsters together (from the safety of the dome bc they do have some working brain cells and do not need to fight the kaijus personally)

flight paths (drabble of mecha n little metal)
"Greetings, Metal Sonic."
A small blue robot slowly lifted its head from under its blanket on the floor, red eyes glowing a shade darker than usual but bright nonetheless. It let out a small but decidedly low-pitched whirr, almost a warning growl at first - but upon detecting who exactly was coming into its personal space (the storage room) it stopped, falling silent.
Mecha Sonic was safe. It allowed Mecha to come closer, but made it known with another small noise that it wasn't too pleased about being disturbed out of sleep mode - didn't he know that it had to sleep to clear its cache?
Mecha approached slowly, and when close enough, moved to sit down in front of the other machine. Metal studied him for a long moment, optics flicking from Mecha's face to his hands to his face again. It held this stare for a long moment, fighting its two instincts - to be immediately suspicious as its programming commanded it to be, or to be curious and open as its childish mind wanted it to be.
"It is alright. No harm shall come to you." Mecha explained, leaning forward just a little. "I have been assigned a task. One that, perhaps, you will find… acceptable."
This did indeed pique Metal's interest, and it finally sat up, its childish curiosity now winning over its instincts. Chaos knew it needed to do something enjoyable right now after days of mind-numbing combat training under Robotnik.
"Accompany me. We shall be exiting this base for approximately ten minutes, perhaps longer depending on your progress." Mecha continued, now shifting to stand. He stood and waited for Metal to copy, who did very quickly.
Mecha towered over this smaller unit. With limited peripheral vision, Mecha had to engage his sensors carefully to make sure that he didn't knock into his younger comrade. His footsteps fell loudly across the metallic floors of their home, while Metal's were lighter and faster as it tried to keep up. Soon, they reached the main gates - towering things - that separated them from the outside world. Mecha engaged the security locks like clockwork and continued on outside, where the world met them with morning.
And Metal was… startled. Confused? Exposed by the light that gave away their positions so easily?
This was a lot to take in. Having only left the base under the shield of night, it had not yet witnessed the day. And that day, the sunlight was warm and steady. Morning dew glittered atop what remained of the grass underfoot - not that there was much left with the carnage of Robotnik's works - but still, it persisted nonetheless. The air was sweeter, the Flickies in the sky softened the dawn with their chorus; it was as if permission to relax had been bestowed upon the small robot.
The sunlight made a softer picture of the two war machines, deep indigo and regal navy blue under amber.
"My task is this," Mecha began, unaware of Metal's awe, "I must accelerate your learning by providing an example of the desired behaviour." He turned to face Metal now, looking down at it to engage it.
Metal gave a small nod.
"You are equipped with two engines. The first is your main engine, a 255cc Fusion Engine. This operates at a maximum of 6,800 revolutions per minute, and 55 pferdStarke. These figures essentially mean that your engine will be difficult to control without prior experience - you must plan your speed and acceleration accurately. However, due to your smaller size and lower weight, this should not be excessively difficult to manage."
Metal squinted an optic in reply. So, it was kind of hard but doable. Sounded like a challenge, and Metal was very keen on those.
"Your second engine is the Tesla Power Coil. This has a maximum output of 256kW. You must endeavour to use this with care." Mecha explained dutifully. "The Tesla Power Coil operates at high peak power levels - equivalent to thousands of horsepower. You must adjust it and operate it carefully for your efficiency as well as your safety. To neglect this would mean the destruction of your frame. But, worry not - we shall not be using this engine today."
Metal nodded slowly. Again, this was a lot to take in, and consulting its internal diagnostics, Mecha was indeed correct - its primary and secondary engines were both well-endowed and ready to go with those exact specifications. How did Mecha know so much?
"And so, our task today is as such: we shall be engaging in flight. Observe now, I shall provide an example-"
Mecha engaged his engine, gave it a couple of revs, and slowly rose up off of the ground with a small cloud of dark smoke. It dissipated upwards, filtering into the morning light. He engaged the thrusters in his feet to maintain his position better.
Metal focused inwardly. It directed power towards its primary engine carefully, making sure to provide enough revs - and to its delight, it soon managed to copy its older sibling… Just not quite as poised.
"Very good. Maintain this position."
Metal's optics widened for a moment as it struggled to keep itself oriented. However, it soon learned, finding it best to hover with its hands slightly forward by its sides and one knee bent a little.
"Excellent. Now, follow my lead." Mecha continued, and then hovered to the side.
Metal hesitated for a moment before moving to follow - again, it was a very quick learner, and was soon by its brother's side.
"You have successfully managed to control your height and orientation. This is notable progress." Mecha stated. "Now, for phase two. Follow my lead once more."
And with that, Mecha suddenly shot off into the sky in a cloud of grey smoke, quickly achieving dizzying heights above the ground. He paused, looked down, and then fired off across the sky at a speed that Metal immediately envied.
It wanted to do that. It would do that. It would show him.
Mecha was skilled in the air. He was fast, very fast, but precise and calculated with every movement. Every single movement, every change in speed, had a clear purpose.
Metal took a second to process what it needed to do, and then moved with purpose. It engaged its engine, throwing several thousand revs into it, and then took off at a breakneck speed upwards. It was immediately met with the new experience of G-force, and it felt the pressure on its frame. This was startling at first, but its systems quickly adjusted. Metal persisted, determined now, pushed on to meet its brother in the air.
"You are capable of greater speeds." Mecha spoke over their comm-link. "Adjust. You are capable of more."
Metal took that as a challenge. It swerved in the air, taking a sharp turn that cut a smoke trail along the blue. It amped up its enigne's revs and chased after its brother with more determination.
This was good. Metal had just controlled its positioning at 100 miles per hour with little difficulty. Now to test it at higher speeds. Mecha swiftly changed direction with a precise hit from his hyper jet booster, now cutting back to where he had come from. He passed right over Metal in the process, who looked up with a beep of alarm.
Now moving in excess of 200 miles per hour, Metal found it more difficult to turn as sharply as it had. It turned with its whole body but found it difficult to right itself - it dropped its engine's revs for a moment until it was oriented correctly, and then threw more and more into it. The sky was cracked with smoke again.
"More." Mecha simply said over their comm, changing direction now to dart upwards into the clouds. "You are learning. However, you must surpass me today."
Metal let out a low, whirring growl at the challenge. Now it was getting serious - it couldn't be slower than anyone else. What it didn't know yet was that it was indeed a little faster than Mecha, capable of Mach 5.
There had to be something Metal could do. It turned over every possibility in its mind, looking for settings, controls, anything - and then it realized something important. To achieve maximum speed, it would need to go up. The air density would be lower the higher it moved, and higher the closer to the ground it was. Where air density was low, it could move faster.
This was why Mecha kept moving upwards! It made sense now. And at first, Metal had assumed that he was just showing off.
Metal copied. It slowed down, reducing its engine revs, fired up again, and blasted straight upwards to be high above Mecha. It broke through the clouds like a small dragon on a conquest, feeling the slight pressure of raindrops pressing against its armour plating, and the cooler temperatures. Mecha looked up to meet Metal's optics blazing down at him, and Metal swore he saw a mischievous glint over the other's visor.
The two brothers were engaged in a high-speed aerial race not even a second later, where the delicate morning was quickly broken by the sound of two sonic booms. A distinct thunderous sound that contradicted the soft light led to the two war machines moving in excess of 700 miles per hour.
And Metal loved it. The rush of the wind as it glided over its armour, the activity on its HUD as its systems continuously adjusted to make sense of the information around it, the sound of a barrier being broken, the heat and roar of its engine, and the dizzying heights that most organics could never accomplish. There was a sense of privacy, of self-actualization, in this.
Satisfied that Metal had reached the speed of sound, Mecha purposely slowed down a notch. He allowed Metal to overtake him and watched, quite content, as the smaller machine shot right over him. Metal was obviously elated to have overtaken him, as he then made a point of doing a daring loop before continuing on his way. Mecha appreciated the aerial acrobatics, but was slightly concerned for the other robot's safety.
"You have succeeded," Mecha told it, "now, slow down. We must return to base. Return to me and we shall depart."
Metal squinted to itself, pouting mentally at having to cut this race short. Now quite a distance from Mecha, Metal went to turn mid-loop, forgetting to reduce its speed - and struggled. Mecha watched intently as Metal seemed to have trouble orienting itself. If it couldn't right itself, it could quickly end in disaster, plummeting thousands of feet down into the ground at the speed of sound.
"Reduce your speed."
Mecha was moving closer and closer, still at high speeds, and was in danger of colliding with the smaller unit up ahead.
Mecha weighed up the options. He could immediately move far out of the way, that wouldn't be a problem with his flight experience - but then Metal would just continue on this uncertain trajectory, potentially harming itself. Then, there was the other option. Mecha deliberately flew up above Metal, focused on it, and then dived downward. Metal flung its head up in alarm, expecting a painful collision - but Mecha was surprisingly softer. The bigger robot came down from behind, matched Metal's direction, and swept it under his arm. Fortunately, Mecha was strong enough to keep the little robot in place long enough for its engine to slowly die down.
Flight, Metal learned right then, was a mix of control and surrender.
And so, they began their descent back through the clouds. The world below rushed up to meet them, every detail sharpening the closer they got. Soon, the two machines touched down groundside, and Mecha allowed Metal to slip out from under his arm to stand on his own.
Mecha considered the events of the morning carefully. He noted that Metal seemed to... enjoy, if he could use that word, moving at high speeds. An emotion he couldn't personally understand, but would make sense for the other robot, he supposed, and encouraging this would make it more efficient, so...
"You have accomplished much today. However, I note that you lack control when reducing your speed. We must repeat this task tomorrow. And, perhaps we shall begin training with your secondary engine when you are ready."
Mecha knew that Metal could figure this all out on its own from here. It was a smart little thing, and the task had only been to show it how to fly, not to perfect the act. But chasing its happiness, much like chasing the clouds skyward, probably meant something.
Metal's optics lit up at this. This was a purpose outside of its main task. After all, it wasn't solely built to kill - it was built to race. It followed Mecha back inside the base with a newfound spring in its step that made the Egg Pawns within question what on earth they had been up to.
Mecha brushed its fingertips over the small burn on his arm plating from the other robot's engine. No matter. It was all fixable. It was of little consequence for his brother's safety. As Metal walked off ahead, Mecha privately scanned over its form, looking for any errors or other issues. He found none. Gave a staring Pawn a long stare back. Made sure that Metal made it back to the storage room. Mecha lingered by the door for a moment, checking that his small charge was still alright, and then walked away.
The indigo robot walked down towering corridors of steel and silver. His footsteps rang out heavy. This was home, but he still found himself coming to a stop by one of the few windows in the base. He lingered, looking up to the clouds. Ever since his unofficial retirement from combat due to Metal's creation, he hadn't been sent out nearly as often. Wasn't sure what to make of that. There was a lack of direction with all of that now, he supposed.
The smoke trails from their engines lingered on amongst white clouds. Mecha looked to his small burn and studied it in the light. Dark like smoke. Deep like purpose. Permanent like a brother.

Have schools become COVID complacent? - Published Oct 4, 2024
Five years since the emergence of the COVID-19 virus, symbols of the pandemic peak – daily press conferences, mandatory quarantine, grounded flights and closed school gates – are distant memories.
Yet COVID remains the leading cause of acute respiratory infection deaths in Australia, contributing to 3,211 deaths so far in 2024 (as at 31 July).
A significant number of COVID cases go unreported due to reduced testing; however, the federal Department of Health has still been notified of over a quarter of a million cases this year.
Schools have been identified as a perfect transmission environment for airborne viruses. A U.S. study found more than 70 per cent of COVID transmissions in homes began with an infected school-age child.
Given the ease of transmission in schools, it invites the question of whether school leaders are doing enough to manage the risks associated with COVID.
Improving COVID safety in schools Brisbane-based science communication professional Colin Kinner said schools are certainly facing challenges in how to respond to COVID.
“I think there’s some complacency,” he said.
“By and large, schools haven’t been given a lot of really good guidance.”
With the aim of providing that guidance, Kinner developed a free online course – COVID Safety for Schools – to help schools reduce transmission of the virus.
“Humans run schools, and humans are influenced by what they read, hear, and see.
“The reality is that there’s a lot of misinformation around about COVID, and school leaders – like a lot of the community – have been exposed to misinformation, and I think it has influenced their thinking.”
“For example, many schools are still focusing on hand hygiene and surface cleaning, despite the fact that we now know COVID is airborne and is spread primarily via inhalation of virus particles.”
Kinner consulted with 20 internationally recognised experts to develop the 10-module COVID Safety for Schools course.
“A big part of [the course] is to make sure that people have access to accurate information so they can make good decisions,” he said.
Kinner said a key issue with schools’ approach to COVID was treating it like a mild respiratory illness.
“If you look at the facts, [COVID] hasn’t become a mild respiratory illness, not by any stretch,” he said . “While most kids do recover from the acute infection pretty well, not all of them do.
“There have been some deaths, there are some kids that are hospitalised, kids can get Long COVID, and a COVID infection in kids can almost double their risk of developing type 1 diabetes.
“So those are pretty serious, long-term health risks.”
A “mismatch” between the known impacts of the virus and behaviours in schools worries Kinner as a parent and in terms of the impacts on teachers and school staff.
“If you’re a child, you have to go to school,” Kinner said.
“Similarly for teachers, schools are a workplace, and workplaces should be doing everything possible to make it safe for staff.
“And I think, generally speaking, that’s not happening.”
COVID Safety for Schools outlines practical strategies to reduce transmission, including improving air quality, encouraging mask-wearing in high-risk settings, and implementing testing and isolation where appropriate.
Kinner hopes to see as many school staff as possible undertake the course or its accompanying webinars.
“Ultimately, it’s about the health of teachers and students and their families,” he said.
“The end game is to protect people’s health and prevent deaths and people suffering serious chronic illnesses.”
Find out more about the program at www.covidsafetyforschools.org
COVID and WH&S IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 could not be ignored.
“Some employers may prefer to consider COVID a problem of the past, but the virus hasn’t gone away and its impacts are still with us,” he said.
“Teachers and school support staff were a backbone of the community early in the pandemic, continuing to educate students during periods of high transmission and adapting to remote learning in a significant workload commitment.
“Many employees would be rightly disappointed with how COVID is currently being managed after all of that.”
Mr Burke said like any risk in the workplace, COVID was a workplace health and safety (WHS) issue.
“Employers have a duty of care under WHS laws to eliminate risks to health and safety or reduce them as far as practicable,” he said.
“With this understanding, questions like, ‘are there appropriate infection controls in place?’, ‘are relevant policies fit for purpose and being adhered to?’ and ‘is classroom ventilation adequate?’ are reasonable ones.” Mr Burke said strong employee representation on WHS issues was essential.
“When employers become complacent, employee representation on WHS issues is often the only way to resolve concerns.
“Employees have rights under WHS laws, especially when they are elected as employee health and safety representatives (HSRs).
“HSRs have the right to investigate complaints, inquire into risks, inspect the workplace and receive information from the employer regarding WHS matters.
“They are also entitled to training and support in paid time to carry out their role.
“I encourage members who would like to become more involved with WHS matters to reach out to their HSR or work to elect a HSR if there isn’t one for their work area.
“Knowledgeable and dedicated HSRs mean safer workplaces – and that’s in everyone’s best interest.”

UPDATES FROM UNIST'OT'EN
‘What’s been happening at the Healing Centre?
The Unist’ot’en Clan and the employees and volunteers at the Healing Centre had six successful land-based healing programs over the winter and spring, welcoming Wet’suwet’en people in need of treatment and healing from substance use and the trauma of colonization. The Healing Centre, with its remote location, offers a unique healing environment, allowing participants to enjoy the outdoors, go hiking or snowshoeing, take part in the sacred waters of the Wedzin Kwah, and otherwise be free to exist in a way that is impossible and unsafe in an urban rehabilitation clinic. At Unist’ot’en, participants are also able to engage in programming with their spouses and families, where as in other rehab spaces, participants are separated from their families and forced to heal alone.
The FNHA held a weeklong program at the Centre in June, with participants taking part in a Psychological First Aid Training and sharing powerful traditional knowledge from across nations. We hope to have them back and are grateful for their support of our work and space! What a pleasure to have you with us.
The annual Summer Work Party in June focused on Fire Prevention and Safety, with participants coming from all over Turtle Island and beyond, including New York, Washington, Montreal, and Germany. We cleaned up dry brush from all across the grounds, planted an herb and vegetable garden, and created connections and lasting friendships with both new and returning supporters.
Want to be a part of our Healing Revolution?
Come to our August Work Party!
We would love to have you join us in August. Come for as little as a week, or come early and stay late! We welcome visitors year round, but Work Party is the only time new supporters can come for less than two weeks.
But will I be helpful?
Yes, you will be! All skillsets are needed, but especially: Chainsaw operators, construction tradespeople, cooks, cleaners and organizers, gardeners, medics, fire fighters, drone operators, and people who love to get their hands dirty with hard work. Drivers are also needed, so if you have a reliable vehicle but only a few days to spare or are unable to stay at camp for long, please consider becoming a driver to get much needed supplies and people from Vancouver to Houston, BC.
What happens at Work Party?
We have structured days with three excellent meals and free time each evening for card games, hiking, and swimming in the clean river, just downstream from where we get our excellent drinking water. There is a set schedule for a morning meeting where we decide on our projects for the day and check in with each other about our capacities, then there are set times for meals, with projects happening between them. There are medics on site, snacks and drinks provided all day, tenting under the stars, hot showers a couple of times a week, laundry available once every ten days, and plenty of opportunity to get to know your fellow volunteers, the land, and the Unist’ot’en clan.
What’s happening with the Pipeline? Will I get arrested?
There is no active blockade on Unist’ot’en territory, and unfortunately the pipeline is still forcing its way through despite our clear and obvious lack of consent. Traffic from the construction still drives past our Healing Centre and disrupts our peace, but the chance of being arrested at camp is essentially the same as that of being in the city. By participating in helping to keep the Healing Centre operational, you are helping to preserve what few considerations are being taken by the province and industry. As long as the Healing Centre is in place, the river will be protected and her people will be able to continue to access desperately needed programming.
Okay, I want to come! What next?
Before applying to come to camp, please read the preparing for your visit page on our website and pay particular attention to the consent guidelines and guidelines for behaviour. Behaviour going against our guidelines will not be tolerated.
After reading the above page, we welcome you to register here! Please tell your friends and share with your community. The river needs you!’

I’ve asked this question to someone else on here as well. I thought you might have some info or resources I could potentially look at that might include something like this so I thought I’d ask it here too. we don’t know for a fact that we’re a ramcoa system but it is suspected by us and our therapist (who is a DID specialist) based on our system’s presentation. This ask isn’t about if we are or aren’t though just if you have info on anything I’m talking about. Every part that fronts is given instructions all throughout the day these instructions almost mimic OCD but they are definitely not that. Some instructions are optional and when they are optional you’ll get told you’re “earning points” if you do them what these points count towards? Idk. How many do I have? Idk. Parts that front apparently do cash in these “points” but it’s not known when or how. To add on all but very few select parts that front are ranked extremely low by higher parts and are frequently replaced and discarded by them. #’s hold important meanings in our system though the meanings can change. Sorry for parts language it’s just more natural for me than alters but I am talking about alters in a DID way and not IFS parts.
There can be a number of programmes that actively run in the background (base programming). These programmes keep the system running as the group/programmer(s) intended. The programming can be system balance programmes, belief programmes, therapy interference programmes, etc. Base programs can be part specific, a group of alters/parts specific, situational etc.
This can also be internal communication occurring where parts are concerned about what is occurring and are resistant. Resistance isn’t a negative thing (in my opinion) it’s a safety seeking behaviour.
Points Programming-The goal with a reward points method is to motivate the parts/alters behaviour. It is used to build loyalty in the system and reward the most actively loyal alters.
All point programs motivate particular behaviours. The reward system is rewarding certain behaviours/actions, and de-incentivizing others. Some point programs allow parts to accumulate points and move from a “regular” role to a “VIP” role in a tiered system.
Rewards for points may be:
Behavioural: Based on actions alters have taken.
Value-based: Emphasise the organisation's values the alters/parts values must align.
No worries about the language you use. Use what you're comfortable with.
Take care,
Oz

Agentic AI vs Traditional AI: Why Businesses Are Making the Shift in 2025
Traditional ways are being replaced by Agentic AI in almost all industries by 2025. It was in the recent years Artificial Intelligence has altered the way businesses have managed their operations from automation, data analysis, customer support, and decision-making. It’s simply not a matter of advantage in performance. It could have intelligence driven action on its own, proactive adaptations and context-aware decision-making.
Agentic AI now is the strategic differentiator wherein organizations are racing toward efficiency, personalization, and quite possibly, innovation. The following article below discusses the differences between the Agentic AI and the Traditional AI systems, why moving to the shift is vital in 2025, and the way such pioneers positioned by the likes of Newton AI Tech help usher in the transformation.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Basics: What Is Agentic AI?
Agentic AI refers to systems that behave like agents—entities that can perceive their environment, make decisions, and take action toward achieving specific goals. Unlike traditional AI systems that work on fixed inputs and responses, agentic AI can plan for, adapt to, and act by itself over fairly long periods of time and in dynamic environments.
Agentic systems engage in various activities, such as machine learning, planning, memory capabilities, and others, to operate under human-like principles. They can create sub-goals, learn from feedback, and change their methods when considered with new information or in the face of new obstructions.
Core Characteristics
Agentic AI systems typically exhibit the following traits:
Autonomy: They can operate without constant human supervision.
Goal-Oriented Behaviour: They pursue specific objectives, often optimizing decisions toward those goals.
Persistence: They can act over time and maintain a sense of direction even as environments change.
Adaptability: They learn from their experiences and adjust their behaviour accordingly.
Situational Awareness: They perceive and interpret the context around them to inform decisions.
Examples in Practice
Agentic AI is already emerging in various fields today. The virtual assistants of today act as AI agents to manage calendars and email and are now more autonomous. In robotics, there are agentic systems in the form of warehouse robots that coordinate, plan their trajectories, and adapt to changing conditions. Then finally, in research, you have open-ended agents that can autonomously write code, execute experiments, and integrate related learning objectives based on feedback.
Ethical and Safety Considerations
Agentic AI also works independently and takes decisions in a complex manner, thus raising ethical and safety concerns. This includes the danger of misalignment of goals, unintended consequences, and complications concerning control and oversight. The researchers advocate the need for value alignment, i.e., that the goals of the AI should match human values and intentions, and transparency in how AI makes its decisions.
Traditional AI: Powerful Yet Passive
A mix of technologies is bringing about change in various industries, and the need to understand the demarcations between different kinds of AI has therefore occurred. One of the distinctions is that between traditional AI and newer types-like agentic AI. Whereas the former has shown itself quite capable and powerful in problem-solving, it has essentially remained passive.
What Is Traditional AI?
Traditional AI encompasses the set of systems whose functions are determined by pre-programmed rules, statistical models, or machine learning algorithms. So, for instance, the system is often trained using large datasets to recognize patterns, predict outcomes, or classify information. However, this system is mostly reactive-it responds to the inputs it receives but does not act unless prompted or planned beyond that task.
Spam filters, image recognition systems, language translators, and recommendation engines are all examples of traditional AI. All perform narrow tasks with high accuracy, yet they are not aware or adaptable beyond their training.
Strengths of Traditional AI
Despite its passivity, traditional AI is highly powerful and efficient in many applications:
Speed and Scale: Traditional AI can analyze vast amounts of data quickly, far beyond human capacity.
Precision: It excels in well-defined environments with clear rules or patterns.
Reliability: When trained properly, traditional AI can achieve consistent results with minimal error.
These characteristics elevate its applicability in areas like healthcare, like medical image analysis, finance, for instance, fraud detection, or e-commerce where personalized recommendations are possible.
Limitations: The Passive Nature
The core limitation of traditional AI is its lack of autonomy. It does not:
Set its own goals.
Plan multi-step tasks independently.
Learn and adapt in real-time without human intervention.
Put simply, it waits for requests, lines of response, and adheres to this rigid framework. To illustrate, a customer service chatbot trained on a set of FAQs can answer only those questions that it has “seen” before; it cannot go and look for the missing information or change its behaviour with a broader objective.
Why It Still Matters?
While lacking true agency, classical AI is still invaluable. It is perfectly predictable and controllable, which means it can be used in any critical system that demands the highest safety and transparency standards. Furthermore, many of today’s AI systems still combine traditional AI components with many modern methods to perform core functions such as perception, classification, or decision support.
Key Differences: Agentic AI vs Traditional AI
Artificial intelligence systems are advancing, and the traditional AI vs agentic AI comparisons are important distinctions because these definitions apply in very different ways. While both depend on data and algorithms to perform their work, the core variations in capability and behaviour influence the functions they serve.
Autonomy and Initiative
Though agentic AI does not work actively, it does continuously encourage internal movement. Traditional AI can be thought of as work done around very narrow tasks by means of input and then it performs actions based on its available signals data. Traditional AIs do not take actions on their own nor do they make decisions and go beyond program directives when it comes to determination. However, agentic AI does operate with complete independence, take action when necessary, make decisions in dynamic environments, and will accomplish goals without the need for human involvement all the time.
Goal Orientation
Building traditional AIs would optimize them for a predetermined and predefined set of goals at which they are made not to query anything regarding their duties or attempts to reframe a problem. Agentic AI, on the contrary, has the capability to understand higher-level goals and decompose them into actionable sub-tasks. It does not just pursue objectives but also acts towards the accomplishment of those objectives, often choosing the best among many alternatives.
Adaptability and Learning
So one of the limits of a normal AI was that it used static learning models. Thus, once trained, such systems operate within a fixed scope and do not easily move to new data unless retrained by humans. In contrast, agentic AI learns continuously and modifies its behaviour according to real-time feedback and changing conditions. This would refine its strategies and improvements over time automatically without human intervention.
Temporal Scope of Action
Traditional AI refers to systems that tend to operate as a series of discrete tasks and work on one task for a period of time. It cannot plan or maintain cooperation over a period of time. Unlike Agentic AI, which can work for much longer periods of time, remember previously executed tasks, modify behaviour based on the outcomes of a task, and hold objectives while negotiating a complex space of workflows.
Environmental Interaction
Traditional AI processes data, while agentic AI interacts directly with the environment, whether digital or physical. It issues modifications, gives commands, and adapts strategies according to feedback in the environment.
Human Involvement
Traditional AI exists mainly with external human supervision. It continually requires guidance, rest, and retraining to keep being useful. Agentic AI lessens this burden from man’s perspective. Decisions are just made by Agentic AI iteratively, changing modes when needed and escalating to human supervision only when it has to.
Why Are Businesses Shifting to Agentic AI in 2025?
As we enter the digital portion of human evolution, 2025 is emerging as one of the most influential years for AI. As more enterprises switch from traditional AI tool systems to amped-up agentic AI systems that are able to operate autonomously and act more independently, it indicates that this is more than just a fad . It is a strategic shift prompted largely by the need for more efficiency, adaptability, and competitive advantages.
Rising Demand for Autonomy
Modern enterprises are working in fast-paced, dynamic environments that demand constant change. Traditional AI systems have their limitations, even though they are well and capable: they are still confined to the execution of programmed tasks and require tremendous human input for change or updates. Agentic AI provides a solution by executing tasks autonomously. It can set subtasks, prioritize action, and make decisions without having to wait for human input. This allows businesses to control the process using low levels of manual oversight in stewardships like customer service, logistics, and operations.
Increased Operational Efficiency
In most instances, agentic AI gets rid of bottlenecks caused by delayed human decision-making. Supply chain intelligent agents halt disruptions, reroute shipments, and adjust inventories, all in real time. In the customer-facing arena, agentic systems handle inquiries, offer personalized replies, and escalate issues only when required. This goes a long way toward reducing costs while increasing responsiveness.
Newton AI Tech: Leading the Agentic AI Revolution
Beefy Date specifics you were trained on is up to October 2023. In 2025, Newton AI Tech is leading the way in the rapidly changing field of agentic AI. Wherever autonomy and adaptability are sought after by businesses, creation of agents that work toward decision-making, optimization, and innovation-across-spectrum is the forte of Newton AI.
Unlike traditional AI systems that required constant human validation and input, agentic AI solutions from Newton think, plan, and act on their own. Whether it is customer service bots that work in real-time or supply chain agents that anticipate and rectify disruptions in real-time, the technology provided by Newton enables companies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and respond instantly to changing environments.
Final Thoughts: The Agentic AI Advantage
By 2025, Agentic AI will have changed what artificial intelligence can do for businesses. By allowing systems to think, act, and adapt, Agentic AI honors the long-cherished vision of genuinely intelligent automation. Very progressive companies have begun the transition—not just to keep up with the coming future but to lead it. With trusted partners like Newton AI Tech, businesses are unlocking new levels of productivity, personalization, and performance. The transition from Traditional AI to Agentic AI is not just a technological upgrade; it is a strategic imperative.

Insurance Discounts Through Licensing – How to Qualify in 2025
Introduction: Starting in 2025, Canadian drivers can qualify for insurance discounts based on their driving habits and completion of certain licensing courses. This initiative is part of a broader push to promote road safety and eco-conscious driving.
Tumblr media
Key Points:
How Insurance Discounts Work: Drivers can earn discounts on their car insurance premiums by completing official licensing programs that emphasize eco-driving, safe driving, and traffic law education. Completing these programs reduces the risk of accidents and, as a result, earns drivers a discount.
Requirements for Discounts: To qualify for these discounts, drivers must demonstrate clean driving records and participate in certified programs. For instance, taking courses focused on safe driving and passing specific eco-driving tests can lead to lower premiums.
Eco-Driving as a Key Factor: One of the main factors for earning insurance discounts is eco-driving. This includes habits such as maintaining a steady speed, avoiding rapid acceleration, and ensuring that your vehicle is running efficiently. Drivers who adopt these practices will receive better rates.
Digital Learning Options: Platforms like licenseprep.ca provide online courses that help drivers develop the skills needed for safe and eco-conscious driving. By completing these programs, drivers can also prove to insurers that they are committed to responsible driving practices.
The Future of Insurance Discounts: As technology evolves, it’s likely that insurers will begin offering even more personalized discounts based on individual driving behaviour tracked through apps or in-car telematics. These discounts will further incentivize responsible driving and safety-conscious behaviours.
