You had never been this late to class before.
Everything had been going great, up until you accidentally fell asleep in the library. In haste, you ran through the corridor, not wanting to be even later, but before you could, a pair of gentle hands tugged you into a broom closet, and warm breath fanned your face.
None other than Sirius Black stared down at you, a grin tugging at his lips as you struggled to catch your breath.
"Cat got your tongue?"
"Sirius? What are you doing?"
Sirius smirked and adjusted the collar of your robe, which was still bunched up around your neck.
"Just returning the favour." He winked.
He brushed his fingers along your cheek and leaned in closer so that you could feel the heat of his breath on your skin.
"Sirius, you realise the corridors are filled with people, and we could get caught."
Sirius brushed a strand of raven hair from your face and smiled into your eyes. He leaned in even closer, his body pressed up against yours, and his voice was a whisper in your ear.
"But the broom cabinet is not."
"Is not what?"
Sirius leaned back slightly, smirking at the flush on your cheeks and the way your breath hitched.
"Filled with people." He replied before leaning in again, his body pressed firmly against yours.
"Yes, but I have class, and we could do this later in the Room of Requirement like we usually do." You give him a last peck on the lips as you stick your head out to see if the coast is clear.
Sirius' grin widened as if he already knew that you had other plans, and he let his hands run up the sleeve of your robes before pinning you to the wall of the broom cabinet, his face inches from yours.
"So we are going to the Room of Requirement?" His voice was a murmur against your neck as his hands ran through your hair and pulled you closer. He pressed his lips to yours and sighed contentedly.
"I think we both know how you'd rather spend your classes."
"Sirius, come on, I have transfiguration; McGonagall would fail me if I missed it." You say, pulling away. "I promise we'll continue this after school, not during classes in a broom closet."
Sirius sighed, though he was more than reluctant to let you go. He leaned back, running the fingers of his right hand through his hair as he did so, his eyes still fixed on the way you were flustered and breathless.
"Fine," he sighed before rolling his eyes. "But I expect double the kisses."
"Alright," you smile at him, giving him one last peck before quickly walking to your class.
Sirius leaned against the broom cabinet and ran a hand through his hair as he watched you go. He bit the corner of his lip and chuckled.
"I'm looking forward to that promise." He whispered to himself.
(Timeskip to during dinner)
Sirius came walking into the dining hall a few minutes late, grinning widely at everyone who nodded and smiled at him. He sat down at the Gryffindor table and looked over at where you sat, grinning all the wider.
When he finally got your attention, he winked and mouthed after dinner.
You nodded at Sirius as you continued eating your dinner.
Sirius was staring back at you, and when he realised that he'd been caught again, he winked and mouthed, "Now?"
His fingers drummed impatiently against the tabletop.
"Sure, you first, though; I'll leave after," you mouthed back at him.
Sirius raised his eyebrows in surprise at your answer and grinned widely.
He quickly got up from the table, taking one last look at your face before he left the hall and headed for the Room of Requirement.
You ate the rest of your dinner and told your friends that you were going to go to the library to study. You got up and walked towards the room of requirement.
You entered the ROR and saw Sirius patiently waiting for you.
"I'm glad you could make it." He said this as he crossed the room and closed the door behind you, making sure that nobody would be able to see the two of you together.
"Hi, darling"
Sirius' eyes widened as you called him "darling", though his mouth was curved into a smirk.
"Hello to you, too."
He looked you up and down, his gaze coming back to your eyes as he stepped closer.
"Good thing we came here."
"Yes, you've been extremely patient." No one knew about your relationship with Sirius, as he was a Gryffindor and you were Slytherin.
Sirius chuckled at your praise and stepped closer until his body was pressed firmly against yours.
He leaned down and kissed you on the neck before whispering in your ear.
"It's been worth the wait." He muttered against your skin, his hands running through your hair.
(Time skip; you're both dressed and ready for bed, and Sirius' head is in your lap as your hand runs over his hair.)
Sirius purred as your hands moved through his hair, his body perfectly at peace as he rested against you.
He looked up at you through heavy-lidded eyes and smiled.
"Did I ever tell you how much I adore you?" He whispered, leaning up and kissing your neck softly.
You smile at his comment, "I adore you too," as you pull him for a quick kiss.
Sirius' voice was breathless as the kiss broke, and he laid his head back against your chest, content with your answer and the feeling of your fingers running through his hair.
"Do you know how happy I am that we can do this without being judged?" He asked as he tilted his head back, smiling at you. "We can just... be."
You smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek as you pulled him to lay down for the both of you to sleep.
Sirius purred and melted against your body, his eyes closing and his body getting comfortable as he relaxed against you.
"You make me feel so loved." He mumbled as he snuggled up against your body and closed his eyes, feeling safe, comfortable, and loved.
"Goodnight, dear"
"Goodnight, darling."
Sirius mumbled drowsily as he drifted off to sleep at your side.
He sighed and wrapped himself around you, his arms firmly around you, as he fell into a deep, peaceful sleep.
