I’ve been thinking about it, and I now firmly believe that Charles signed a pre-contract with Red Bull in the week before COTA. Initially, he did it with the intent of putting pressure on Ferrari but then over the course of the triple header he slowly started to realise that maybe honouring that pre-contract MIGHT be his best chance at a WDC. This is heavily reflected in the socials and PR of Red Bull, Ferrari, and Charles himself and ties together all the Lestappen interactions of the past couple of months from Max’s answers at press conferences to the infamous padel date. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a ride.
So I believe to pinpoint the start of the current PR wave/movement that we've coined as Lestappen Gate 2023 we have to look all the way back to Monza. Around Monza, there were numerous rumours that a huge Charles contract renewal was imminent and it was going to be announced, etc. etc. Charles did put these rumours to bed by saying if there were a contract like the one that had been rumoured, he would've signed it immediately. Now, I believe that with Charles confirmed to be unsigned (at around the same time that the George/Lewis and Oscar renewals would've been happening), Red Bull Racing approached Charles to reopen talks.
But I think Charles stalls them, isn't open to talks, until Singapore where Carlos Sainz wins. This throws Ferrari into complete disarray as Fred suddenly can't open talks with Charles as it would then be clear that he will not be re-signing Carlos Sainz. I think it then becomes obvious to Charles and his team that in order for the contract talks to begin they need pressure to negate Santander and the Sainz family breathing down Ferrari's throat. So Charles actively enters talks with Red Bull with the intent of putting that pressure on Ferrari. Also worth noting, Singapore also marked Charles as something special, a generational talent who is also willing to be an exception n2 driver when the team requires it of him, especially when his teammate starts on pole. I think this makes Red Bull even more eager to begin talks with Charles. Interestingly, this is where we get the first Red Bull Lestappen post of this current era, the Lecstappen alert.
This brings us through Suzuka to Qatar, Max winning his 3rd WDC, Charles congratulating him and then effuse about Max and Red Bull in interviews. Seeing the level of success that Max has had is what pushes Charles to decide that he is going to sign a pre-contract with Red Bull for a seat in 2025 because either way, he wins. He either manages to put pressure on Ferrari to get a contract with all the clauses he wants (external brand deals, his own branding, car development to suit him, etc.) OR he gets the MOST talked about seat in F1.
Now this is a key point. I believe the padel date was an excuse to get Max and Charles in the same room. Specifically, for them to have a frank and honest chat about whether they could work as teammates and two n1 drivers on the same team. This is probably the first serious heart to heart that these two have had, which then explains their attitude and closeness in the triple header and them being more ready to be vulnerable and honest with and about each other. Then, in the week before COTA, satisfied that he could be teammates with Max if push came to shove, Charles Leclerc signs a pre-contract with RBR for 2025.
(It's also worth noticing that in the week before COTA, the Lando Norris to RBR rumours and talk noticeably died down, despite Oscar winning the sprint in Qatar).
Now this brings us to COTA, where Charles instantly starts to make PR moves to build a brand for himself. His first big move is signing with WME, a talent agency, and something that Ferrari drivers typically aren't allowed to do. The WME signing solidifies in my mind that a pre-contract exists, because if there is one thing Charles wouldn't do, it's jeopardise his chances of racing in F1. If there's a chance that Ferrari would drop him for this, he just wouldn't do it. However, if he has a guaranteed seat in 2025 no matter the outcome, he would totally do it. It must be said, I believe that Charles is using the pre-contract fully as leverage against Ferrari at this point UNTIL the strategy fuck up. After the strategy fuck up, Charles is noticeably angry and outspoken about it, and Fred starts to freak out a little bit. RBR in the mean time, are starting to try and change the Lestappen narrative from rivals to a duo, with Charles starting to feature heavily on RBR socials.
Moving on to Mexico, Charles does well, considering. But what's important about Mexico is that this is the first time that Charles has truly been treated like a villain by the fans at the track. This is key, not only because of RBR's reaction to it (which I will explore), but also because this is Charles's first taste of what a move to RBR could be like, of what it would feel like were he to become the antihero rather than the golden boy of F1. However, the real clincher is that rather than RBR playing into the narrative of Charles the villain, even despite him literally being involved in the DNF of their own driver (Checo) at his home race, they instead make sure to capture all angles of Charles and Max interacting and one of their own pays special attention to Charles on the podium. In a way, this is the weekend that shows Charles that even though Red Bull and Ferrari are completely different, Red Bull can still be as much of a family to him as Ferrari has been if he wants them to be. Moreso, in fact, considering Ferrari didn't even bother showing up to Charles's P3 podium.
So entering the weekend in Brazil, Charles is pictured wearing his own clothing line that it was rumoured Ferrari forced him to discontinue and Fred Vasseur is starting to get shit scared and starting to talk to anyone from media who will listen about how talented Charles is. Charles does put it on the front row, but there's no real Forza Ferrari about it, and Charles has stopped wearing Ferrari merch in the paddock. A Red Bull employee (Max's PT Brad) is the first person to congratulate Charles on the front row.
Then, the DNS happens. A completely avoidable thing that happened due to Ferrari incompetency, and all hell breaks loose. Charles leaves the paddock before he can finish his Ferrari PR duties like a post-race video, and makes it very clear that he is FURIOUS in all his interviews. Now, laughably, at this point is when Ferrari-Charles contract negations began, or at least, that's what was leaked to the media. In my mind, Charles communicated very clearly to Fred at this point that his pre-contract with Red Bull is a very real threat, and Charles himself is beginning to seriously consider honouring it, and if Ferraro don't get together, they WILL lose their Il Predestinato to Red Bull. At this moment, Fred Vasseur is absolutely terrified. The world is very obviously on Charles's side and sympathetic after the DNS, while being at best apathetic and at worst hostile toward the Scuderia. Meanwhile, Red Bull continue with their Lestappen antics across all social media channel, again publicising the idea that Max and Charles are close and may have once been rivals but are buddies now, like in their tiktok of Max doing the "just an inchident" trend.
Now I haven't mentioned the onboards yet, which were spotted by some eagle eyes fans during the Mexico and Brazil GP weekends, in which Charles's onboard was displayed very clearly alongside their actual drivers, Max and Checo. But the existence of the onboards on the Red Bull pitwall make perfect sense if Charles did sign a pre-contract. Red Bull are gathering data to sway Charles further, almsot a "yeah so here's exactly where Ferrari fucked your race, and here's is what we would've done differently."
The break in the triple header, Charles is noticeably refraining from Forza Ferrari-ing. Rather, he calls the paps on himself on more than one occasion and make sure he is seen with several high profile celebs, strengthening his public image and building his own narrative. Meanwhile, Ferrari is in full damage control mode, taking responsibility for the DNS, acknowledging Charles in a way they haven't fully done since Singapore. There are more leaks of contract negotiations, but Charles does not engage with them. Meanwhile, Red Bull are keeping up their Lestappen propaganda. Charles is making it clear to all parties that this pre-contract that he initially intended to just be a bargaining chip has suddenly become a serious threat to Ferrari.
Finally, this brings us to last weekend, Vegas. Charles, again, refuses to Forza Ferrari. Ferrari PR have put Charles and Red Bull content on absolute LOCKDOWN with not a HINT of Lestappen anywhere, and Max is making comments about the choice of team being important in winning even for generational talents while Charles fidgets and looks away. Fred praises Charles to hell and back again, implying that Charles will obviously be prioritised over Carlos by diminishing Singapore, but in the post-race, Charles still gives nothing. Just a thinly veiled comment about how good it feels to be fighting at the front again. Meanwhile, Red Bull amp up the Charles content even more, even fully posting a picture just of Charles's car. There are also not one, but two questions about Max and Charles's karting past. In discussion with my academic colleagues (@tsarinablogs, @thearchercore, @gaslightgirlsummer (further thanks for all three of them, for entertaining a much rougher draft of this essay a few days ago)), we've talked about the possibility that these questions might have themselves been planted in the media rooms, in order to further cement the idea and control the narrative of Charles and Max, childhood rivals turned dynamic duo. The sort of narrative one might find intriguing around teammates.
So this concludes my essay. I am almost sure that Charles has a pre-contract with Red Bull, which is why he is suddenly so outspoken about the problems and failings of Ferrari. Although this pre-contract originally began as a bargaining chip, I believe that Charles is seriously considering honouring it. Ferrari are desperate, and Red Bull have the upper hand and are starting to pave the way for a media shift in how Charles and Max as a pairing are perceived.

I leaned back in the plush leather seat of his—no, my—new car, savoring the feeling of power. God, I’d waited so long for this. All those years of torment, the sneers, the shoves into lockers, the homophobic slurs... they were all a distant memory now, fading away like smoke. The only thing that mattered was this body I was now inhabiting, perfectly sculpted and oozing confidence.

I smirked at the reflection in the rearview mirror. His—my—strong jawline, the chiseled features that had made everyone swoon, and those piercing blue eyes that used to look down on me with contempt were now mine to control. And control them I would.
The plan had come to me after a particularly rough night, one too many drinks mixed with the lingering bitterness of my high school years. I’d always been obsessed with the idea of revenge, but not the kind that left scars. I wanted something deeper, more satisfying. I wanted to become him. To live the life he’d never appreciated and do it better.
It wasn’t hard to find a spell. You’d be surprised at how many dark corners of the internet are devoted to body swapping. A few emails, a payment sent in crypto, and a strange-looking amulet later, I was ready. The ritual was simple enough—though it took a lot of concentration. But the moment I slipped it around his neck while he slept, it was over in seconds. I woke up in his bed, in his skin, and he… well, I don’t know where he is now. I like to imagine he’s trapped somewhere, conscious of what’s happening but completely powerless.
The first thing I did was check myself out in the mirror—really take in everything I’d just acquired. This body wasn’t just hot; it was perfect. Years of disciplined workouts, clean eating, and who knows what else had transformed him into someone who looked like they walked straight off a magazine cover.

Actually, make that literally off a magazine cover. I found a stack of fashion magazines under his bed with his stupidly gorgeous face plastered on them. He’d somehow turned his pretty-boy looks and gym rat habits into a full-fledged modeling career. I guess that explained the ridiculous number of selfies on his phone, each one showing off a different outfit or a perfectly timed flex in front of the mirror.

So yeah, I wasn’t giving up the gym. If anything, I was leaning into it. It’s not like I had to do much to maintain this body—he’d already done the hard work, and now I was reaping the benefits. I still hit the gym daily, if only to flex for the mirrors and admire my reflection. The attention I get now is incredible, and the best part is, I can be shameless about it.
Of course, I couldn’t wait to see what Grindr was like from this side of things. Installing the app was the first thing I did once I figured out the password to his phone. The moment I uploaded a shirtless pic, the notifications started rolling in—an endless stream of thirsty messages. Guys were practically lining up for a chance with me, throwing compliments, and I have to admit, I loved every second of it.

I’d spend hours swiping through profiles, chatting up whoever caught my eye. The way people reacted to me now was night and day compared to before. No more awkward small talk, no more second-guessing myself. I could tell someone to meet me at the gym just to watch me lift, and they’d show up without hesitation.
And the best part? I’ve started getting more gigs, just from a few posts on social media showing off his—no, my—body. Modeling agencies are all about that lean muscle, those killer cheekbones, that smirk that could melt anyone on the other end of the camera. He’d never really appreciated what he had, but I’m about to take this career to the next level. I’ve already got a photoshoot lined up for some luxury brand—an easy way to rake in the cash while showing off.
His—my—Instagram is blowing up too. I’m always in the gym, flexing and posting thirst traps for the masses. The likes pour in, and the comments? They’re pure gold. People are practically worshipping me, and I’ve only just begun. This body was wasted on him, but now that it’s mine, I’m going to enjoy every moment of it.

valentine's day wasn't something you really celebrated, gojo [name], unless you counted annoying your friends and colleague who acted like kunikida doppo from the armed detective agency back at your organization as a celebration.
to you, february 14 was just a cutesy-heartsy day when you'd get free chocolates and gifts from whoever thought you were pretty and such. you didn't mind the attention; in fact, you liked it, but it wasn't something you did out of love—until nakahara chuuya came into your life.
initially, you had no intention of dating the port mafia executive. it was a wonder that you two ended up together even.
it was a complicated relationship, but you and chuuya were smitten. it was crazy. even when you weren't together yet and you still resented him for punching you in the face and breaking your black sunglasses as dazai nullified your ability during the first meeting, the way you two fight makes you and him feel so in love.
nonetheless, that blossomed into a relationship between you and chuuya, and with it, you finally understood what it was like to be in love and how it felt. chuuya, your boyfriend, always goes all out for you. given his and your line of work, time was something you barely had, so chuuya really makes it up to you the best he can.
in any case, if it isn't you or wine, what else would he spend his entire executive salary on?
and since it's valentine's day, chuuya went extra all out. your boyfriend arrived at your organization in tokyo, surprising you at work with his sleek black car, dressed in an expensive suit and tie, surprising you with a bouquet of red roses and a paper bag of luxury branded clothes and dresses in hand, which soon led to a dinner date to a fancy restaurant he booked out wherein chuuya ordered you the finest steaks and wines, and rented musicians to serenade you with your favorite love songs.
it was a perfect evening, but then..
"chocolate mousse cake with raspberries."
you and chuuya looked up at the waiter who had placed the dessert in front of you.
"i didn't order this," you said, blinking as you pushed down your black sunglasses.
"she didn't order that," chuuya repeated in a stern tone as he gently held your hand in his.
"it's on the house. the chef wanted you to have it. oh, and the receptionist also wanted me to give this to you too, miss," you had received another round of gifts, but this time it was chocolates. expensive chocolates.
"what the fuck?" chuuya muttered, his eyes hardening into a glare as he looked past you to spot the aforementioned restaurant patrons.
chuuya released of your hand, quickly downed his own glass of wine, and sighed sharply, "well, someone's famous."
"oh, please. i'm not that famous chuuy—you came to a halt as you heard your phone ring and vibrate from your purse. you excused yourself and picked up the phone, only for chuuya to narrow his eyes as you groaned, "ugh, i'm not in tokyo right now. just leave the bouquet of flowers and gifts at my apartment door."
you put your phone away after answering the call and returned your gaze to chuuya, who was resting his chin on his hand that was covering his mouth, elbow propped on the table, blue eyes avoiding yours. his free fingers rhythmically tapped against the table's edge.
"chuuya?" you tilted your head to the side.
"does this happen to you every valentine's day?" chuuya asked, still refusing to look at you.
"the gifts? err, yeah," you nodded, scratching the back of your head.
"tch," you frowned at chuuya's scoff.
"chuuya, look at me," you said as you moved all of the gifts you'd received away and extended your hand to take his in yours.
chuuya closed his eyes briefly before opening them and turning around to face you, finally locking eyes with your heavensent aquamarine six eyes that you inherited from the god of skies as you removed your black round sunglasses, but refusing to say anything.
"you know, chuuya, i never really took valentine's day as something serious or special," you started, brushing your fingers across his knuckles, "to me, it was just a day where i got extra attention and free gifts from people."
"then why are you telling me this?" chuuya asked, his brow furrowed into a frown.
"because when i met you, i realized that valentine's day has changed now that i have you," you exclaimed with a closed-eye smile, "even if it's not valentine's day, even when we fight or are apart, you never forget to make me feel loved every single day, and when we do spend time together, it's always special, and it doesn't compare to the attention and gifts i received and continue to receive from others."
chuuya's eyes widened as those words left your mouth. as a bright red blush spread across his cheeks, you could almost hear his heart skip a beat. it made you giggle.
"you're the only one in my heart, nakahara chuuya-kun," you said, leaning in and pressing your lips against his, not caring if the people in the restaurant saw you kissing. in fact, it was only right. they should understand that this man is yours, and you are his, and no one else's.
chuuya closed his eyes, leaning in closer to return the kiss and cupping your face in his hand at the same time. it was a deep and passionate kiss, a little possessive, but you didn't mind. you loved it. the way the wine tastes on his lips, the way he's so close and intimate with his touch.
after a short while, he drew back and stood up from the table, causing your eyes to widen.
"chuuya?" you looked up at him.
chuuya approached you and took both of your hands in his, gently pulling you up from your seat and onto your feet. he wrapped his arm around your waist and yanked you away from the table.
chuuya's glare was fixed on the chef and receptionist who had dared to gift you for a brief moment. they were lucky it was valentine's day and he still had some control over his temper because of you. he would have punched their daylights out and thrashed the place with his gravity manipulation ability if it hadn't been.
chuuya lead you into the beautiful garden of the fancy restaurant where you two were alone. he then embraced you before you could say anything, holding you close to his chest and kissing the back of your neck.
"i'm sorry for getting jealous," he said quietly, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
"it's okay," you laughed, patting chuuya on the back as he continued to hug you, "you're the only one for me, and i don't want anyone else."
"you're the only one for me, too, [name]," with that chuuya pulling away just enough to kiss your face, making you giggle fondly. chuuya took both of your hands in his and smiled at you, admiring how beautiful you looked under the moonlight right now, "i love you."
chuuya's hands moved down to your waist, and before you knew it, the two of you were swaying gently into a slow dance. your eyes widened in surprise as more lights filled in the beautiful flower garden outside the restaurant like fireflies as the musicians in the background began to play their violins and piano.
"happy valentine's day, my love," chuuya said to you lovingly as he kissed your forehead.
valentine's day truly changed ever since then.

areum is more of yumi's mom than her own mother.
grandma areum basically raised yumi and her brother as her mother worked nightshifts at the hospital.
her mom got home at 6-7 AM, heading straight to sleep while yumi & her brother woke up at 7 to make it to school on time. because of this, her grandma was the one who woke them up, made breakfast and got them all ready for school.
her grandma basically took the role of her mother.
when yumi moved to seoul because of her training, she begged her grandma to move with her as she wasn't supposed to move away with them. and fortunately for her, her grandma moved with her.
yumi sees grandma areum as her mom as she's never had that special connection with her actual mom.
her grandma was and still is her confident, whenever yuyu ran into problems she would go to her grandma for help. and being the wise woman she is, she gave her the best advice.
areum made sure yumi's desires were always made reality, even if it went against her mom's whishes.
for example, yujun (yumi's brother) had always been interested in cars and motorcycles. Yumi being the little sister she was, she wanted to be like her big brother and so badly wanted to go to races. her mom was not in favor of that, saying that it was a boy's thing and that girl's things were modeling, dancing, etc.
but, areum saw how disappointed her granddaughter was and decided to take her to these races behind her mom's back.
Yumi is eternally grateful with her grandma because if she didn't bring her to those yumi would have never found out her passion for cars and motorcycles.
Yumi loves her grandmother very much and always tries to visit her in between schedules.
she's taken her members with her when visiting her grandma and she absolutely adores them.
now whenever yumi's grandma calls her, she asks how the members are doing.
the members lovingly call her enha-grandma.

oh boy, where do we even start with them.
for context, arin had yumi at the young age of 22 ( having her brother when she was barely 18 ). her father was never in the picture, leaving when he found out his girlfriend was pregnant.
his excuse? he was only willing to stay for one kid. he told arin he would only stay if she gave up yumi to which she said no after much convincing from her mother.
but him leaving was honestly for the best, as his and arin's relationship was very turbulent and toxic. they would fight almost daily and it would sometimes be so bad that areum had to get involved to de-escalate the situation.
because of her work, yumi barely saw her mother. this strained their relationship from the very start.
added to this, arin always had felt resentment towards her daughter since, in her eyes, yumi was the reason her boyfriend left. as time passed, she also grew resentful of her son.
this resulted in arin always acting cold, stoic and even hostile towards her daughter.
because of this, yumi had always looked of the approval and love from her mother. she was always seen doing little crafts and favors for her mother. she just wanted her mother to acknowledge her.
when yumi was 5, she got noticed by a well-known clothing brand. they offered a lot of money to have yumi model a toddler clothing line they had just launched, being blinded by the money, arin agreed.
after being a model for that brand, she was noticed by a modeling agency and they quickly tried to sign the toddler. yet again, blinded by the money and not thinking about the repercussions that modeling at a young age could bring, arin accepted.
it was only then, that arin started to treat yumi less coldly. arin saw her as the thing that could bring her the money she desperately needed.
being desperate for money, arin started to control what yumi ate and make her go on extreme diets for her age, just to please the modeling company and be what they thought "would sell".
this affected yumi very badly and caused her to have an unhealthy relationship with food. she still suffers with this.
apart from this, arin was very restrictive with her daughter. she'd never let yumi play with her brothers cars or action figures as a child. she said they're “boys things” and that she should stick with modeling and dancing ( which both were very imposed onto her ).
as yumi grew older, she noticed how toxic her mother was and started to pull back from her. she realized that she would never be enough for her and that her mother only saw her as a source of cash.
she knew that if she still was in contact with her mother, her mental health would deplete and she would go back to the dark place she was her entire childhood. so, when she moved in with enhypen, she took the opportunity and went little to no contact with her mother.
and arin didn't bat an eye, she didn't even notice how her child didn't contact her. with the money yumi brought to the table after all those years of modeling, arin was able to quit her nursing job and start a small jewelry store. said store slowly but surely started to grow and it's a well-known store now in seoul.
her mother will only call to give her backhanded compliments and ask for money whenever the store goes on a low.
yumi has tried to deny her the money multiple times but her mother always manipulates her into it.
the members know some of this ( only way yumi has told them so far ) and they always make sure that her mother's calls are hung up. they know how arin made yumi's life miserable and don't want any of it to come back.

omg these two are literally inseparable.
even before yumi was born, yujun would be stuck at the hip with his mother as he tried to hear her sister in her belly.
when his sister was born, yujun was ecstatic. he was the first one to see her at the hospital and instantly wanted to hold her.
as they grew older, they became even more close. they bonded over their mother's coldness towards them ( yujun was also a victim of this. arin only saw him as the star athlete of the family, bringing her attention for being his mother. )
when older ( between the ages of 5/6 & 8/9 ) they started to develop a tom & jerry type of relationship. they would tease each other to no end and even prank one another.
they enjoyed spending time together like that, even if it was unusual.
yujun was always yumi's bodyguard. at school everyone knew that if you messed with yumi, you'd be messing with her older brother.
since he was always the tallest of his class, he had that intimidating factor and would scare away any kids that would make fun of yumi. he'd also scare away any of yumi's crushes because of this lmao.
speaking of crushes, they'd literally make each other's life's so difficult whenever they knew they liked somebody.
once, yujun told the boy yumi was currently talking to that if he ver hurt his sister he'd make him disappear. safe to say, that boy never spoke to yumi again. in retaliation, yumi told the girl yujun was interested in that he was talking to five other girls.
that made them so mad at each other that they didn't speak with one another for almost three weeks.
yumi is his number one one supporter at his volleyball games. she always makes time for them, even if her schedule is packed. even if he doesn't say it, yujun appreciates it so much.
but don't be fooled, he will always go to the first show of her comebacks. he is always spotted in the crowd of at least one of the groups shows each comeback.
yujun was also the main defender of yumi with their mother. whenever he noticed arin was being rude towards his sister he would quickly shut it down. he never ever let their mother speak down to his sister.
he also sneaked her out of the house to go see street car races ( he had his contacts ). she would always smile so brightly when she got the chance to see it.
the members have met him a couple of times and really like him. yujun has also told them that if they do anything to hurt yuyu that he'd actually kill them. they were very intimidated by him at the start because of this.
even though they bicker and annoy each other, they'd literally kill for each other.

Celebrities who took part in the online frenzy of Kate rumours and conspiracy theories are apologising following the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis.
In a moving video released on Friday, Kate revealed that she’d been undergoing chemotherapy in the wake of major abdominal surgery in January, which led to cancer cells being found in subsequent tests.
At the time, Kate’s condition was not disclosed to the public, and the release of a photoshopped image of the princess and her children exacerbated the spread of conspiracy theories speculating on the reason behind her low profile.
Actor Blake Lively was one of the first to apologise for partaking in the frenzy, referring to a now-deleted post that seemingly poked fun at Kate posting an edited picture of her family for Mother’s Day.
Posting on an Instagram Story on Friday (22 March), the Gossip Girl star wrote: “I’m sure no one cares today but I feel I have to acknowledge this.
“I made a silly post around the ‘photoshop fails’ frenzy and, oh, man, that post has me mortified today. I’m sorry.”
The Age of Adaline actor had made an Instagram post announcing an update for her alcohol brand on 15 March, when she made a subtle nod to the photoshopped family photo.
Lively’s post showed a photo of her head conspicuously photoshopped onto a distorted woman’s body lounging by a pool, with one of her Betty Buzz drinks in hand. Seemingly poking fun at rumours over Kate’s whereabouts, Lively added in the post, “Now you know why I’ve been MIA.”
Journalist and political activist Owen Jones has also expressed regret for adding to commentary on Kate’s whereabouts.
After photo agencies pulled the photoshopped family picture, Jones remarked on the “kill notice” with: “I am so obsessed with this already omg!!”

In the week before, Kensington Palace had issued a photo of Kate and her three children on Mother’s Day. In an unprecedented move, photo agencies recalled the picture after realising it had been manipulated. Kate then addressed the edited image, writing on X/Twitter: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.
“I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”
Meanwhile, fans have been calling on reality TV star Kim Kardashian to apologise for joining in the speculation about why Kate had been absent from public life.
On 17 March, the reality star posted a photo of herself posing in front of a luxury car, and captioned the post: “On my way to go find Kate.”
“After the news of her having cancer has been revealed, you should really take this down. It’s extremely insensitive and you owe our princess an apology,” one person commented on Kardashian’s post.
“Can you please go find an apology instead?? Added another.
On social media, fans have also asked British-American comedian John Oliver to retract a joke made during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“There is a non-zero chance she died 18 months ago,” Oliver quipped earlier this month. “They might be Weekend at Bernie’s-ing this situation. I’m not saying it happened, but I’m saying it’s non-zero until proven otherwise. Until we see her sitting there with a copy of the day’s paper.”
Weekend at Bernie’s was a 1989 comedy film in which two people manipulate a dead body to make it appear as if he’s still alive.
Piers Morgan called out Oliver for his comments on X/Twitter after the announcement that Kate is receiving cancer treatment. He said: “I hope this smug p***k has the decency to apologise for such a disgusting ‘joke’.”
At the time of writing, neither Kardashian or Oliver have responded to criticism of their comments. The Independent has contacted them for comment.
The 42-year-old princess said on Friday that she needed to recover from surgery before she could start “preventative chemotherapy”, as advised by her medical team.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she added.
Kate explained she had needed time to come to terms with the news and tell her children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, before informing the wider world.
She said: “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.
“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
Praising her husband as “a great source of comfort and reassurance”, Kate said: “It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.
“But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.
“As I have said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.”

(This is like, maybe a little after Werlyt, and Cid and Nero are doing something pretty mundane like trying to repair one of the workshop's malfunctioning toilets. Yeah, and they can both be wearing overalls. Also Cid's wearing one of those t-shirts that's printed to look like a tuxedo jacket with a bow tie. I don't know why, I don't control these things. Anyway, Nero offhandedly makes a Marques joke which makes Cid drop his socket wrench and realize:)
Cid: Wait. You knew. You knew I was Marques...?
(And Nero's like, trying to prise the lid off the toilet tank. And like he's wearing a Rush t-shirt beneath his overalls.)
Nero: Of course I knew you were Marques, Garlond. (snickers) Not like you were trying very hard to hide it.
Cid: I wasn't trying to hide anything. I didn't even know who I was! But you did?
Nero: (beholding the innards of the toity) Disgusting. You know, I'd say this mess extends well beyond the agency of a Million Flushes, much less 2000...

Nero: (groans) Yes, Garlond. I knew you were hiding out—or amnesia slumming, or however you want to say it, but whatever it was, I knew it was you and I knew you were doing it around Drybone. So what?

Nero: I never told them. (Scoffs) Can you imagine if I had? Gaius would've cast kittens and I would've never heard the bloody end of it. (doing his best—and by best, we mean absolute worst—Gaius impression) ~THE GREAT CID NAN GARLOND HAS BEEN LOCATED IN THE DESERTS OF EORZEA, WE MUST SEIZE HIM NOW.~ And then what...? Well, it would be back to the dole queue for poor old "Second Best" Nero Scaeva, wouldn't it? No room in the XIVth for "also-rans" like the Skeever of the Academy, eh? I would've been tossed out on my arse into the street! With no visible means of support! Save for my sparkling wit. (He pauses and thinks for a moment) And my fabulous hair. (He thinks again) And my car. Mm. The car, not so fabulous.
Cid: You told me it was a brand new Novus D, one of the LIX models with the improved fan belt and the 8-track player and the optional moonroof.
Nero: It was. Loved that little beauty even more than I love myself. Took her just about everywhere. Maybe a little too everywhere...
Cid: Dare I ask what happened to it?
Nero: (He pauses and thinks for a moment) Anyway. Of course I didn't say a single word to anyone about Marques. I couldn't afford to lose my job, and we both know Gaius fully intended to get rid of me the moment he found you. Honestly, I thought you'd be glad I kept my mouth shut. Not only did I alone spare your precious conscience from being forced to work on the Ultima Weapon, but I also spared your sanity from the unyielding torment of having to share a cubicle with Valens Varro.
(Nero stares down into the murky depths of the toilet tank, pensively, thoughts unknowable, which is definitely for the best.)

Hi blog,
Been a while. Going by my last actual written entry here, it has been 4 years since I cared or had time to lay down my feelings and experiences in their most raw. No editing here, for a change - yay!
A quick summary to catch you up, 'cause the last few years have been quite full.
Got married
Had a baby
Landed a new Sydney-based job
Enjoyed working with Australian and NZ brands with said Sydney-based company
Got into a near-fatal car accident right outside our home
Left Sydney-based job and took two months off to recalibrate (didn't realize how badly I needed it until I was fully immersed in it -- highly recommend if you were born in the '90s like me and went to work right after college grad haha)
Did a short freelancing stint with a NY-based Filipino lifestyle brand (thanks to a generous mentor who did the introduction)
Let freelancing stint go as I got more serious with my full-time job applications
Went on a fun family trip to Bohol just in time for Chunky's 2nd birthday
Started a new work-from-anywhere job with one of the best digital agencies I've come across (funnily enough, first "worked" with them when I was still with Summit -- felt like a foreshadowing haha)
So... that's the past 4 years as a list. What's not seen are the many breakdowns and breakthroughs, coffees and matcha lattes, crippling anxieties and thank-you-universe moments of happiness that I went through, paid for, and lived through.
TBH, today's writing prompt was a personal low point. It's been a tough several weeks or month, really. And yesterday, it all just came to a boil. I've been thinking about journaling the past few months, and today I just couldn't fight the urge anymore. I just need an outlet or maybe coping mechanism would be more accurate. I've tried a lot at this point: looking at my zodiac readings (lol), curating crystals (can confirm they work haha), downloading cat games, downloading "soothing" games, retail therapy (too easy to get carried away with this), and going to the gym. But this - writing and talking to the void where I feel unknown in the best possible way - will always be the most natural for me.
I promise to be back. Even these last few minutes of just typing away my thoughts almost as soon as they came to me has brought me immense comfort. Let's work towards this bringing me joy.

Note: Funny story about this book. Badly wanted this and my then-boyfriend, now-husband bought it for me for Christmas. Was only about a quarter of the way through reading when life took over and I had to pause. Lent it to a friend who, 'til now, has not returned it yet. hahaha I see her semi-regularly, must remember to ask for it back next time.

Hirotaka thought of fulfilling his long-standing dream which was Kizashi. Suzuki has been showcasing a concept car named Kizashi in different motor shows for a long time.
The concept 1 of Kizashi was showcased in 2007. Then again concept 2 was shown in 2007.
And then in 2008, the Kizashi Concept 3 was shown at the New York International Auto Show.
 In 2011, Maruti Suzuki aimed for the stars with the Kizashi. This sleek, sporty sedan promised European handling, punchy power, and a shift towards a premium image. The car itself was a technical marvel, with a responsive engine and sharp dynamics. But despite its brilliance, the Kizashi's Indian journey was tragically short-lived, selling a mere 5,000 units. 
Secondly, Suzuki's brand image in India was at odds with the Kizashi's aspirations. 
 Buyers associated Suzuki with affordable, fuel-efficient cars, not sporty sedans. The Kizashi's premium positioning felt like a disconnect, leaving potential buyers confused. Finally, the lack of a crucial diesel engine option, essential for fuel economy in India, dealt the final blow.

in Euro NCAP and all other NCAPs. Now this car was very good but still, in 2014, Suzuki discontinued it in India and then in 2015 it completely disappeared from the world.
And after this, Suzuki never launched a proper D-segment car And as soon as the car came into the market, it proved that even a Suzuki car can be made big and powerful enough to compete with Honda and Toyota and even the Germans. This vehicle received very good ratings and within the first year of its launch, it also received two awards from Auto Pacific in America for annual vehicle satisfaction. Also, this car received two motoring awards in New Zealand in 2010 and according to Consumer Digest, it was a Best Buy car in 2011.
 The big problem with this car was people were not buying it. And this was not happening only in India but also in the US market, only 5000-6000 units were being sold annually,
in Canada, only 600-700 units were being sold and in Japan, only 3379 units
were sold from 2009 to 2015. out of which 1 quarter of the car was purchased
by Japan's national police agency alone.
 that Kizashi was one of the most powerful sedans available in India. It was Suzuki's brand image and this was the thing that Suzuki was trying to change with this vehicle.
Now, we people of India believe that Suzuki can make smaller cars only. Similarly, people all over the world also believe something similar.

“Guess Who Owes Lucy $23.50?” (1968) ~ It’s Van Johnson!  Or is it?  Lucy loans the film star money to fix his car – but the man turns out to be a con-man posing as Johnson.

When Lucy tells her who it was, she can’t believe it.

“Lucy Gets Her Man” (1969) ~ Harry’s old Army buddy is working in Counter-Intelligence and needs a stenographer to help get the goods on suspected spy Arthur Vermillion (Victor Buono). Naturally, Lucy gets the assignment. Isabel (Mary Wickes) calls Harry Jack the Ripper, comparing him to the famous London serial killer.

Lucille Ball and Victor Buono were both featured in “Like Hep!”, a Dinah Shore special that aired a few months after this episode. In it, Ball did a variety of sketches, including one set in a speakeasy with Buono as a mob boss. On television, Buono is probably best remembered for playing King Tut, one of the arch villains on “Batman” (1966-68).

“Lucy’s Burglar Alarm” (1969) ~ When Lucy and the kids are robbed and Harry refuses to fund a $500 burglar alarm, Craig comes up with an elaborate home alarm system. Guy Marks plays the well-dressed crook.

“Lucy and Viv Visit Tijuana” (1970) ~ On a sightseeing trip to Mexico, Harry is convinced by shopkeeper / smuggler Pedro (Don Diamond) to transport a stuffed animal over the border, claiming it is for his 3 year-old niece living in Los Angeles. Stopped at the border, they discover it actually contains contraband.

“Lucy and Wally Cox” (1970) ~ Lucy and Wally are assigned to be security guards at a warehouse, where they encounter armed robbers Lefty Logan (X Brands) and Baby Face Johnson (Gil Perkins).

“Lucy and Ma Parker” (1970) ~ When a woman and two children mysteriously move in next door, Lucy discovers that they're a band of criminals led by Ma Parker (Carole Cook). Her cohorts are little people dressed as archetypal children: Herman Golub (Billy Curtis) is dressed as Buster Brown, and Milton / Mildred (Jerry Maren) is dressed as Shirley Temple.

Lucy is recruited to impersonate Ma Parker and help nab dangerous Chicago mobsters Muggsy (Boyd ‘Red’ Morgan) and Joe Grapefruit (Marc Lawrence).

The title character is a parody of Kate 'Ma' Barker (inset), the mother of several criminals who ran the Barker gang in the 1930s. She traveled with her sons during their criminal careers.

“Lucy and Harry’s Italian Bombshell” (1971) ~ When Lucy and Kim sleep at the office, they encounter a burglar (Herbie Faye). Instead of robbing them, the he actually gives Kim and Lucy five dollars!

“Lucy and Mannix are Held Hostage” (1971) ~ Mannix (Mike Connors) and Lucy are taken hostage by Vernon (John Doucette) and Ruby (Marc Lawrence).

“Lucy and the Candid Camera” (1971) ~ Allen Funt, host of TV’s “Candid Camera”, plays himself and his con-man doppelganger.

As the con-man, he convinces the Carters to rob a fur salon, then a bank - all under the impression they are pranks for the TV show.

“Lucy and the Little Old Lady” (1971) ~ When Mrs. Brady, a kindly widow from out of town (Helen Hayes), comes to the Unique Employment Agency looking for a part-time job, Kim becomes suspicious that she may be running a con game so they plan to hold a fake séance to expose her. The character Hayes plays here capitalizes on her Oscar-winning role of Ada Quonsett in Airport (1970), a sweet little old lady who cons the airlines and stows away to get free air travel. On “Here’s Lucy” the plot relies on the premise that Mrs. Brady could be a con artist.

“Lucy and the Reckless Wheelchair Driver” (1972) ~ Hickey, a show business agent (Jesse White), tries to sue Lucy for hitting his client with her wheelchair. Lucy and Harry think the young man is faking and that the agent is a con artist.

“Dirty Gertie” (1972) ~ In this story based on A Pocketful of Miracles, Lucy is mistaken for an apple peddler who just happens to be the good luck charm of Rocky (Bruce Gordon), a mob boss. The police recruit Lucy to help capture the mobster in his own nightclub. Johnny Silver plays Benny, one of Rocky’s mob.

She is asked to play her grandmother at the celebrations, which include the recreation of a bank robbery. Lucy is enjoying playing lawmaker until Jake (Cliff Osmond) and Rusty (John Craig), a couple of genuine robbers, interrupt the celebration and take her hostage!
