Oh what about Farmer with a horse girl? Does he have horses. My dream is to basically be a hometeader so I keep wondering what his farm has.
Oh yeah, he has horses!! Ok, so this is how I view his farm. He has the homestead of cause, which is this pale yellow colour (for some reason? it's not even a colour I like, but it's what I imagined it as when I wrote the first one). It's two stories with a wrap-around porch and has big white shutters with those pretty shaped cut-outs.
Then the infamous barn is the stereotypical red and white barn. But it's seen better days. The red is more of a dull/brownish red and the white has chipped away and now it's more wood than paint.
I see him having a few fields of wheat/barley. This is more of a way to feed his animals rather than a profit. But if he has enough left over he will sell.
His main profit is his bulls. I don't see him being able to sell cattle for meat or anything too intensive. It's mostly just him and he only gets seasonal workers to help with the harvest or just when he needs them. So instead he runs a bull stud. Breeding the best bulls in the state. It's a small operation but he charges a hefty price for quality so it works. He has about 2 bulls he keeps for 4-5 years before replacing them, and about 30-50 cows/heifers depending on the season.
Then he has his pigs, thats how his father made his money breeding boars, but pigs are noisy as all hell, so the farmer has it more as a side project rather than the main source of income. He has a pair he keeps and he then sells the litter.
Then he has his chickens, a good 20 of them. One big red rooster and all the rest hens. He sells the eggs he doesn't want either as produce or as incubator eggs. He has this huge chicken coop he built himself.
Then he has one or two dairy cows. He breeds them with his bulls and shares the milk with the calf. Or sells the calf depending on if it's a bull calf. Doesn't sell the milk, but uses it for himself (after pasteurisation of course). He'll most likely sell the heifer calf later on.
Then there are the horses. He doesn't have many. Maybe one or two and they're used as transport mainly through his fields or to round up the cattle. They aren't anything special either just quarter horses, but they get the job done. I can see the horse girl reader just falling in love with them and getting mad when they find out he calls them Horse, and Also Horse. Reader will braid their hair and beg farmer to let them go for rides. He agrees as long as he's with them.
Then he's got a cat that just roams around. He doesn't even own it really. It just showed up and never left.
Then there are his working dogs. If I hadn't implied he was from the Us south/Texas, I would have given him kelpies. They are the best working dogs! At least in my biased australian opinion. I was thinking of giving him cattle dogs (blue/red heelers), cause they are recognised in the States but cause his cattle are breeding stock he won't want the dogs to be overly aggressive and bite their heels (they can be trained out of them but easier to get another breed).
Ok, I did some googling and cause I have three kelpies myself, I'm giving him some. I don't care if the us doesn't recognise the breed (rude) but it's not unheard of for them to be used in the States. So yay! Anyway, he only has two cause he has such a small herd. They aren't inside dogs cause they are primarily working dogs so they get this nice kennel outside. And cause I love country music and by extension, he does too, they are called Pancho and Lefty.
He also has a veggie garden and grows most of his own food. If you are a vego/vegan DO NOT go into the small shed out the back. That chicken he took in there does not come back out alive.
Anyway! Hope you liked it. I got a bit over the top

Single Braids: A Stylish and Versatile Hair Trend in Texas
Single braids have become increasingly popular among women seeking stylish and low-maintenance hairstyles. This versatile hair trend offers a range of options for expressing individuality and creativity. Single braids hairstyles involve weaving individual sections of hair into tight, neat braids, resulting in a chic and elegant look. Whether you prefer a classic or edgy style, single braids provide endless possibilities for experimentation.
If you're searching for hair braiding shop in Ennis tx, in Midlothian tx, Milford tx,  League tx,  or Red Oaks tx, then Authentic African Hair Braiding is the best hair salon that offers a wide range of single braids for women hairstyles, each with its unique features and benefits.
Singles Braids
Regular Single Braids
Regular singles braids are a timeless option that can be customized to suit any occasion. The entire head is braided with traditional single braids, from the roots to the ends, creating a uniform and neat appearance. This style is often chosen for its simplicity and longevity. The braids can be thin or thick, depending on personal preference, and can be left loose or gathered into an updo.
One of the advantages of regular single braids is their versatility. They can be styled in various ways, such as a high ponytail, a bun, or a left cascading down the back. To add a touch of elegance, accessories like beads, cuffs, or ribbons can be incorporated into the braids, enhancing the overall look.
Micro Braids
Micro braiding hair is a popular variation of single braids that offer a more intricate and delicate look. These braids are much smaller than regular single braids, resulting in a more detailed and refined hairstyle. Micro braids are typically achieved by using human hair extensions, which provide length and volume to the natural hair.
To maintain micro braids, keeping the scalp clean and moisturized is essential. Regular washing with a gentle shampoo and conditioner, followed by applying a lightweight oil to the scalp, helps to keep the braids and natural hair healthy. Additionally, tying the braids with a satin or silk scarf while sleeping can help to prevent frizz and preserve the style.
Jumbo Braids
Jumbo braids are a bold and striking variation of single braids that create a dramatic and voluminous hairstyle. These braids are more significant than regular single braids, adding a statement element to your overall look. Jumbo box braids and jumbo knotless braids are popular styles within the jumbo braids category.
Keeping the scalp moisturized and clean is essential to care for jumbo braids. Applying a lightweight oil or moisturizing spray to the scalp and braids helps to prevent dryness and promote healthy hair. Covering the braids with a satin or silk scarf while sleeping is also recommended to minimize frizz and preserve the style.
Ghana Braids
Ghana braids styles, also known as cornrows or invisible braids, originated in West Africa and have gained popularity worldwide. These braids are created by weaving the hair close to the scalp in a continuous, intricate pattern. Ghana braids offer a unique and stylish look suitable for casual and formal occasions.
Maintaining Ghana braids hairstyles is essential to keep the scalp clean and moisturized. Regular washing with a gentle shampoo and conditioner, followed by applying a lightweight oil or moisturizing spray to the scalp, helps to keep the braids and natural hair healthy. Covering the braids with a satin or silk scarf while sleeping is also recommended to minimize frizz and preserve the style.
To Conclude
Single braids, including regular single braids, micro braids, Ghana braids, and jumbo braids, offer a wide range of stylish options for women seeking versatility and low-maintenance hairstyles. High-Quality Black Hair Extensions in Dallas, TX Available Online.
Tumblr media
Hair extensions in the length and colour of long black hair are a popular choice among women who want to add length to their natural hair as well as volume to it. These extensions are made entirely of human hair, so you may style them, colour them, and otherwise handle them in the same manner as your natural hair. They are available in a number of different textures, including straight, wavy, and curly, so that you may choose one that is similar to the natural texture of your hair.
The United States of America has a sizable number of beauty supply businesses, hair salons, and internet sellers that provide long black hair extensions for women. Clip-in extensions, tape-in extensions, sew-in extensions, and pre-bonded extensions are the most prevalent forms of hair extensions.
Clip-in extensions are the most convenient and cost-effective choice since they can be applied or removed quickly and simply by the wearer themselves at home. They are excellent options for short-term use or for use during special events. Tape-in extensions are also a temporary choice, but they stay longer than clip-in extensions and do less damage to your natural hair. Clip-in extensions are the most common type of temporary hair addition. They require the application of a trained specialist, and their duration might range from six to eight weeks.
Because they are stitched into braided parts of your natural hair, sew-in extensions are a more permanent type of extension than the others. They can last for several months, but they do require frequent care and they could cause some harm to your natural hair. They are an alternative to having your hair cut short.
Another alternative for permanent extensions is pre-bonded extensions, which need the application of a bonding agent and are done so by a trained specialist. They can endure for a few months and do far less damage to your natural hair than sew-in extensions do.
When looking for long black hair extensions, it is essential to take into consideration not only the quality of the hair but also the manner by which it will be attached. It is in your best interest to select extensions that are created from 100% human hair since they will seem and feel more natural, and they may be styled using heating appliances. Stay away from synthetic hair extensions since they become damaged fast and do not seem as natural as real hair would.
When it comes to the techniques of attachment, clip-in extensions are the least destructive to your natural hair, while sew-in extensions and pre-bonded extensions have the potential to cause greater damage to your hair. Make sure that the colour and texture of the extensions you pick come as near as they can to matching the colour and texture of your natural hair. This is another vital consideration.
When purchasing hair extensions, it is vital to verify the source of the hair, to ensure that the hair has been ethically acquired and that the seller has a good reputation. In addition, when purchasing hair extensions, it is important to check the source of the hair.
If you want to add length and volume to your natural hair, one of the best ways to do it is to buy hair extensions online Dallas Texas. You won't have any trouble finding extensions that complement your natural hair and help you get the style you want thanks to the extensive selection of products and services that are offered in the United States. It is important to remember to take into account the quality of the hair as well as the technique of attachment, and to work with a qualified hair stylist in order to guarantee that the extensions are attached in the correct manner and in a safe manner.

Jessica Biel: Taking Aim
December 7, 2004 by Lynn Barker
The last time you probably saw hot actress Jessica Biel, she was a freaked out traveler cornered by Leatherface in the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. No more babe in jeopardy for this little lady. Jessica now plays Abigail Whistler, a vampire fighter whose skill with a futuristic bow and arrow has no equal in Blade: Trinity. This is Jessica’s first big action heroine role and she was determined to look and feel the part. Now she can give Fantastic Four boyfriend Chris Evans a run for his money.
The actress looked anything but combat ready when we interviewed her in L.A. recently. Dressed in a very soft package (beige slacks, knit shirt, brown seed pearl drop earrings and blonde-streaked hair in a long braid down her back), she looked more ready for a tea party than a vampire hunting slug fest but she was all fired up and ready to tell us all about her extensive “Blade” fight training and the fun and pranks on set…
TeenHollywood: You still look in shape but the training for this film must have been exhausting!
Jessica: I was in the gym six days a week for a couple of hours a day and then an hour of fight training, an hour of archery and a super-strict diet throughout the whole movie. There was heavy weightlifting to bulk up in the beginning. Then once I got to a certain size it was a more maintaining and lots of cardio to kind of lean down. Work to build, then maintain, then lean it out as much as we could.
TeenHollywood: Did it ever cross your mind that you might not be able to do all this physical stuff?
Jessica: No it didnít because Iíve been working out forever.
The gym, for me, is not a chore. Itís a stress release. Itís something I enjoy a lot. I was getting paid to work out. I couldnít think of a better thing. I think I questioned my choreography sometimes. We planned out all these amazing fight sequences where I kill thirteen guys at once. You just show up and kind of cross your fingers and hope that you can get it done and it looks right and punches look right. Itís a weird thing to show a fake punch.
TeenHollywood: You have one laser weapon that doesn’t actually do on set what it does with CGI effects on screen. Was that weird?
Jessica: We really did have an issue with that thing because there were two different ones. I would hold it up and then we’d have to stop [filming] and replace it with the big one and then replace it with the small one. Then the CGI would work later, but it was really kind of a pain.
TeenHollywood: How does shooting one of those complicated fight scenes work for you? It seems so fast.
Jessica: My last fight scene, I think that took two days to shoot because we shot it in one long master, basically, and it was 13 guys, one after the other after the other. It worked much better for me to keep doing it in one whole sequence than to chop it up because you lose your momentum coming from one person to the next. I was also working with the best stunt people ever. If I gave kind of a crappy punch they still sold it like I knocked them out so it was really half to our stunt people’s credit that it looked so great.
TeenHollywood: But you looked really convincing.
Jessica: Well, they do it for a living and we’ve only done it for four months. It was 14, 15 hours one day of just fighting all day long and after that day I was just wiped. Every muscle…I almost threw out my back. You get to the point where, ‘Holy crap I don’t know if I’m going to survive it,” but it was awesome, it was so much fun, I had such a good time doing it.
TeenHollywood: Did you have any injuries?
Jessica: No I didn’t. Not really. I have kind of a weak back anyway and I got a bit of a chiropractic adjustment, which kind of cleaned me right up so I think it could have been really bad if we hadn’t taken care of it right away. I really didn’t have any other injuries besides my knees and my shins…I looked like I had been hit by a sledgehammer. I was just bruised up and down. Colliding knees with shins and knees hitting corners. It was just a mess of knees hitting things, but that’s it. I was really lucky.
TeenHollywood: Okay, we hear that Wesley Snipes just IS Blade 24/7. Was that strange working with him?
Jessica: Thatís true. All the time we were on set or in a trailer, he was Blade. I canít describe it any other way. He was just serious and very intense and quiet and not really communicative at all. It was weird, but it really helped our dynamic onscreen. We didnít know each other. We werenít supposed to know each other. We were all awkward onscreen. It was perfect because that is what it was in real life. He didnít cuss at me. He didnít say a whole lot to me.
TeenHollywood: More on the personal Jessica. You were going to Tufts University for a while. Are you finishing your college education out here?
Jessica: I havenít finished it.
I donít want to finish it in LA. I donít know when Iím going to do this. I hope it doesnít just go on and on and years and years go by and Iím still going to do it. Iíd like to finish it somewhere like NYU or something. Iíd love to go to NY and just kind of go for a couple of years because Iíd like to live there anyway before I have a family or anything like that. Iíd love to do that for me, but I think maybe in the next couple of years if my career comes to a place where I feel comfortable enough to leave LA, then I feel like I could maybe get it done.
TeenHollywood: Why donít you want to finish at Tufts?
Jessica: I would if my friends were all still there. I went for a year, took a year off and went back again and now theyíve all graduated. So, for me to go back to Medford, Mass, where I donít know anybody anymore, itís like starting as a Freshman all over again. Iíd like to choose something else, like go to NYU where I can live in an apartment and not have to be on campus.
TeenHollywood: Abigail in the film listens to her iPod playlist when she goes into battle. Do you have an iPod and whatís on your play list?
Jessica: (laughs) I donít even have a play list. Iím a little bit challenged in that area. I do have an iPod. I have a bunch of different stuff; Led Zeppelin, Christina Aguilera, Bob Marley, Damien Rice, Maroon 5.
TeenHollywood: Did anybody ever mention that it would be difficult to hear who you would be fighting with your music blaring in your ear?
Jessica: No, hey, this is comic book land. I've got eyes in the back of my head. She was supposed to fuel her fire with her music, her pump up music. It wasnít even a question, would it be not tactical that she couldnít hear somebody coming from behind.
TeenHollywood: Okay. We buy it. Ryan Reynolds is pretty funny. Was it hard to keep a straight face with him on set?
Jessica: Yes but David Goyer is the prankster. No one’s ever played jokes on me except this movie where it was joke after joke after joke. I kill all these SWAT guys and they are all lying on the floor. For weeks and weeks we had all these dummies dressed in SWAT gear on the floor. You just get used to stepping over them…they’re everywhere. So of course one of our prop guys gets dressed up and lies down on the floor and I didn’t know about it. David calls me over and, at the right moment, the guy on the floor grabbed my leg. I screamed and everyone laughed.
TeenHollywood: Silly but cute. What else?
Jessica: This was his favorite. Iím walking with my flashlight and my gun and Iím looking for Zoe and I have to look in a meat locker. He hid in the meat locker and itís take three and my gun is so heavy and my arms are shaking and Iím looking and I open this meat locker and ďAargh!Ē, he jumps out and it scared the s**t out of me.
TeenHollywood: If this goes on to a sequel film about your vamp fighting unit, would you like to be part of this franchise?
Jessica: Well, yeah. I loved Blade 1 and thatís why I was interested in becoming part of this one because I thought it was awesome. Whatever happens..if itís a spin off or whateverÖas long as Goyerís involved Iíd be interested in being involved.
TeenHollywood: Superhero geek questions. Who would win in a fight between you and Wes (Blade)?
Jessica: Well, Wes would win because heís got supernatural powers.
TeenHollywood: What about Buffy? Did you ever watch it?
Jessica: I never watched Buffy. I wasn’t a Buffy freak.
TeenHollywood: How about Abigail vs. Electra?
Jessica: Hummm, I don’t know but that would be a good fight.
TeenHollywood: How about you and Chris Evans?
Jessica: Oh he would kick my ass. We’ve wrestled before and he’s very strong.
TeenHollywood: You did Blade: Trinity before he did Fantastic Four. Did you give him any advice or was it different?
Jessica: His is totally different. He’s using a lot of wires and stuff and I didn’t really use anything. I practiced on wires, but we ended up not using them at all. For me at least. He’s doing very different stuff. He’s not being trained in martial arts. He’s not doing archery or anything. He’s in good shape so he’s just been in the gym getting pumped up.
TeenHollywood: Does he complain about the wires?
Jessica: I think he’s mentioned that his suit is just really tight.
TeenHollywood: Sounds good to us. Did you ever accidentally knock someone out?
Jessica: I punched this kid. He’s like 19 so he would kill me for saying that. This kid, Jordan. He plays one of our skate punks, our vampire punks and he’s actually a Canadian superstar skateboarder and he’s also a BMXer, just actually a crazy athlete. It’s the first scene where you see me and I like crush his arm and I throw him on the ground and I’m punching him like this and I just collided with his face and his head hit the concrete. We just looked at each other like [makes a surprised face] “Sorry!”
TeenHollywood: What happened then?
Jessica: I ran to the monitor obviously after asking if he was okay. Then Goyer would just rewind it as I punched him in the face. We just watched it over and over, “Crack, crack, crack” hit the concrete, hit the concrete, hit the concrete every time we’d laugh so hard . And Jordan was such a good sport. I could see him, he was like, “Oh I’m totally fine,” [touches mouth and moves it around as if she’s just been punched]. He’d turn away and rub his chin.
TeenHollywood: Did playing a role like this give you a feeling of personal power?
Jessica: Yes, absolutely because you don’t get to do this. I got to kick guy’s butts all day long. But, it kind of gives you a false sense of strength though because I feel like, “Yeah, bring it on.’ If I’m on the street? “Bring it on,” but then what could I do? My routine on you? Fake punch you? I always joke about that because my dad and my brother are like, “Oh you’re good now,” and no not really. I have this false sense of security that I could really kick your ass.
TeenHollywood: But you really could shoot an arrow. Didn’t you break a camera? Set the scene for us.
Jessica: I did. I busted like a $300,000 lens.
David loves this. I’m standing up and Drake (the bad guy) has turned into this gnarly monster and he’s got Wesley and he’s holding him by the neck. I’m up 40 feet away from the camera and they’ve put up this plexi-glass to block anybody from getting hurt. They turned down the poundage [on her bow]. If it was turned up to normal pounds I could shoot that arrow straight probably for 100 yards, but since they turned it down, the arrow was going down [in an arc]. They wanted it to come straight next to the camera instead of diving down. My coach said, either turn it up or let her aim for the camera because I was aiming just off. DP said, ‘it’s OK, aim at the camera’. All the guys were like, “Just aim at it,” [ ha, she’ll never hit it] and my coach is like “Do it, do it.” I mean we had been practicing hardcore target practice and I just aimed and shot that lens right out. First take. It will be in the DVD because I shoot it, you see the camera go [splat] and you hear it. And I’m just laughing and pointing. And our poor camera assistant is like “Oh my god, my lens!” Now he has to call the studio and explain what happened.
TeenHollywood: You have two more movies coming out. What are they?
Jessica: Stealth. Iím a fighter pilot in a black ops squad. Itís a futuristic man vs. machine. I do a lot of flying and I end up on the ground at one point and I do have a cool machine gun that I shoot, but itís not hand to hand combat.Elizabethtown I just finished shooting. That was amazing. Now Iím looking at some indies, trying to figure out what to do next.

Office Assistant
 Seeking Assistant Production Office Coordinator
Location Studio City, Los Angeles County, California
 Status Post-production
 Type Episodic
Genre All genres of TV • Television
 Deadline Jan 29, 2022
 About the job
DigitalFilm Tree, a post and production veteran
facility in Los Angeles, is a leader in cloud based dailies, remote editorial and finishing, VFX, archival services and on site/in house needs. We are an authority in cyber security for media & entertainment with ongoing R&D efforts that have contributed meaningful software applications to our community. As a multi talented collective of thought leaders, DigitalFilm Tree is hoping to add another super hero to our team - the glue of our team, the Office Assistant!
The role of DFT's Office Assistant encompasses a myriad of duties, from keeping phones, deliveries and pick ups covered, to keeping the facility sanitized every hour for the health and safety of our minimal on site staff, while pivoting quickly when one of those staff members has an urgent or client facing need. This role will also directly support and be an extension of our Chief Operations Officer who supports and serves every single department - flexibility, fast on your feet, clear and concise communication are critical to this role. If you love ''The West Wing,'' you're going to love working with our COO. Seriously, don't be shy about sending your long winded essays about the critical role Charlie played in the Bartlet Administration.
Soft Skills we seek:
• Interdisciplinary: meaning we all possess more than one strength across the scope of facility needs (i.e. our CTO is also our Senior Colorist, our Director of Content is also an authority in billing and data security, our Online Editor is also one of our content producers, etc.)
• Clear Communicator: Context is incredibly important to us. Because of the large scope of innovation we put forward, teams could easily lose track of what hand is doing that impacts the other. We prioritize efficiency, but never at the cost of leaving anyone in the dark.
• Endlessly Curious: While we respect the advancement being made outside of DFT, we know we have an incredibly gifted team of people in house who are and have built some of the most progressive M&E platforms in use on cutting edge shows. So we're constantly learning, building, breaking, battle testing and imagining new solutions for our client partners and do our best to remain brand and workflow agnostic.
What we're looking for in this role (in addition to comfort with the above):
Working in a fast-paced and busy facility, the Office Assistant is responsible for managing the heavy rotation of calls, deliveries, upkeep of common areas, ordering lunches, planning office events (on site and remote) to honor staff birthdays, holidays, etc. They also manage supplies for facilities management like kitchen, bathroom and printing needs.
Responsibilities Include:
• Significant project management in keeping track of receipts, office supplies, team preferences, birthdays, in bound deliveries (like media drives and machinery) and ensuring we never run out of supplies for the kitchen, bathroom, printers, and basic office supplies (i.e. pens, paper, post its, etc.)
• Phones - you are both a gate keeper, protecting the time of all those on site, as well as the very first or only touch point someone may have with our company. How you speak to people matters and we need to know we can trust you with our people and how we're being represented to anyone turning to us for support.
• Security Cameras and property awareness falls to the Office Assistant who is one set of eyes on our cameras. You'll alert various team members should their be an issue on property, you'll issue guests security badges (when we actually have guests again), and you'll be mindful of our neighborhood to ensure we're being a good member of our tiny Cahuenga community.
• Learn. Yep, that's a responsibility. We cannot teach ambition. Most folks at DFT have grown immensely from their first day to where they are now, with a large number of our team having been with us for over a decade. The number one responsibility of any DFT'er is to stay curious. Every single job here matters. Every single job here supports someone else on the team. We are interdependent and interdisciplinary.
• Covid Safety Protocols: You temperature check every employee and guest to DFT as well as sanitize surfaces and door handles every hour. You handle and sanitize inbound packages (packages are placed on the floor inside our door by vendors and you use a sanitizing spray gun to disinfect before touching with gloves). You ensure that everyone in office is wearing a mask at all times unless alone behind a closed door (most folks have a door at DFT).
• Billing Support: the Office Assistant provides a necessary hand to our accounting department, by facilitating weekly scanning and filing of financial documents, managing and filing receipts, and copying/scanning any additional financial documentation required.
• Honoring and supporting team members. Their birthdays should matter to you deeply. This is a hard enough time to try and connect, we want to make sure that our people know they're seen, valued and cared for - not everyone loves a big hulabaloo, but everyone does appreciate knowing they matter.
• Coffee. We cannot stress this enough. You're going to need to make a mean cup of coffee. This office is full of admitted coffee snobs with a borderline consumption problem.
• Lunches, Dinners, Catering - you'll be responsible for our twice weekly on site lunches (which may increase to 3x during busier seasons) and dinners for those working late - both lunches and dinners are also often extended to our team working from home, so you'll place orders you never see, but also need to check in with staff after delivery to ensure all went well and they're not left to solve for issues with their meals. Catering and holiday meals are generally organized through a vendor for us to offer as a pick up and re/heat at home (i.e. Thanksgiving were meals from Gelson's catering, Christmas we offered Whole Foods meals and ensure GF, Vegan, Allergies are accounted for with each person). Food is a love language we take seriously.
Experience & Education:
• High end hospitality background preferred.
• Media & Entertainment background a strong plus.
• Billing or accounting strengths are helpful.
• Direct support of a management role - having to anticipate needs - very helpful.
• Project management experience a strong plus.
If the above sounds like you and you're looking to join one of the strongest and most innovative teams in town, we'd love to hear from you!
Compensation: Range and categorization (salary versus hourly) DOE Dog friendly office / Fully or mostly paid
health insurance (depends on your choice of plan) / PTO One Medical service for ongoing Covid tests as well as virtual care and dedicated, on time visits with on site labs / Parking / Twice a week fitness sessions (virtual w/ trainer) / WFH often possible / Lunch provided 2-3x per week.
Contact Us: [email protected]
Please attach your resume and tell us a bit about yourself in the email. It would help us to know:
1) What is the most effective way you've found to show people you care and are genuinely interested in supporting their goals?
2) Are you comfortable working on site, regularly sanitizing surfaces, providing your Covid vaccination card and taking Covid tests?
3) What is one movie you think best represents what it means to be a great team player and/or assistant?

Crew Up And Create A New Entertainment Source
Seeking Crew, Actor, Editor and Director of Marketing & Distribution
Location Washington, D. C., Los Angeles, California, San Francisco, California and New York City, New York
 Status Development
 Type Internet project
 Genre News
 Deadline Jan 28, 2022
 About the job
Hey Everyone,
I am looking to build an Entertainment News source with a hungry team that wants to create something that would be also theirs. I am looking for Anchors, writers, editors, and more to help create this vision. With 20 years of working with networks, I have access to footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content that will make our channel unique and stand out. I would love to set up a small crew for a meeting and talk about what we can build together.
This position isn't paid but all would have equal rights to the project and as the project grows and creates monetization, we'd all share equally.
I am doing this because I love storytelling and would like to have a channel that would focus more on the art and not on the "Jen and Ben are back together!" moments.
I've done a soft launch test on Facebook: https://fb.watch/715u4FsSDu/

Vfx-Artists For Star Wars Fan Film In Denmark
Seeking Compositor, Concept Artist, Storyboard Artist and Visual Effects Artist
 Location Copenhagen, Denmark
 Status Post-production
 Type Pilot
 Genre Action / Adventure • Drama • Fantasy • Sci-Fi • Indie • Independent
Deadline Sep 8, 2021
 About the job
SHROUDED DESTINY: A STAR WARS LONG TALE - FAN PRODUCTION IS LOOKING FOR VFX-ARTISTS, CONCEPT ARTISTS AND MORE! (PRO BONO):
What is this?
"Shrouded Destiny: A Star Wars Long Tale" is the world's biggest independent fan film made in Denmark!
With more than 350 volunteers having lent their talents to the making of this 70 minutes pilot episode, this is an unsolicited pitch to Lucasfilm and Disney in the effort to get a meeting with the topfolks at Lucasfilm to meet myself and the producers to create an entirely original story in the Star Wars Universe!
Starring actors like International Emmy-Award winner, Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards, Sherlock Holmes, Ride Upon The Storm); stunt performer Laûren Okadigbo (Justice Leauge, Wonder Woman, Krypton, Ready Player One); Magnus Bruun (The Last Kingdom, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla) and others, the fan film is a "pilot" aimed at showing the visual style and storyline in a small part of the planned 8-season storyline that takes place in the years 550-510 BBY. Imagine the scale of Game of Thrones; the meticulousness of The Wire, and the dysfunctional family relations of Breaking Bad spiced with the violence of The Raid, and you have an idea of what this film is all about.
What do you need?
We've finished filming and are currently looking to recruit people in two areas: Immediate post production and creating illustrations for a Virtual Production Pitch Presentation.
The post work includes things like:
Keying
Matchmoving / camera tracking
Houdini DOPs
All-round compositors
If you have skills in these departments, why not send our VFX-supervisor, Peter Rongsted, an e-mail at [email protected] with an application?
We really want to engage people who are ambitious about their lives and their careers and are willing to set the time matching said ambitions to come work with us. This is a stepping stone for so many of us on this production and we're eager to make it a stepping stone for as many people as possible! Like every single soul working on this production, it is an unpaid assignment.
If you don't fit into the post-production categories we're looking for right now, send an email anyway. We're sure we'll be able to find something for you anyway.
For the Virtual Production Pitch, we're looking to emulate the style of "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj", where illustrations of characters and environments are playing in the back, as we present the story of the film.
It's an insanely ambitious endeavor and we hope that you as an illustrator, concept artist or Storyboard Artist can see the logic of being attached to a project, where the end goal is to have your work seen by the biggest folks in the film industry.
If you feel like this could be something down your alley, send an email to: [email protected] and we'll continue the conversation there. :-)
What do I get out of this?
Since a paycheck currently isn't in play, this project has to make sense to you on a different scale.
We want to put this film out this year (Covid has already post-poned it more than a year) and this will offer you credits on a film that will most likely be viewed by millions of people via YouTube, since we're not selling this film, but merely working on a very over-zealous proof of concept.
So you're in that point of your career, where you have the talent and time, but don't have the jobs right now and are looking to add things to your portfolio and you're not afraid to put forth ideas that you believe will strengthen the final product.
Whatever time you have to offer, we'll gladly take, whether it's a few hours a day, a week or full-time commitment, we appreciate you. :-)
You might just also be a really huge Star Wars fan and are ambitious of one day working for Disney or Lucasfilm and want to be able to get an in somehow. This project might be it, if you're not in the near vicinity of getting hired by a company working for them. :-)

FILMSTOCK EVENTS "where talent meets opportunity"
FILMSTOCK is the first of it's kind as the only industry expo offering in person meetings with agents, casting directors, film distributors, show runners and vendors and other industry professionals. Our date for the first annual FILMSTOCK is set for November 13th 2021 right in the middle of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF).
Our vision is not a Sundance or a Tribecca Film Festival but a Business Industry Expo which I know is the first of it's kind. I am not talking about a networking event where everyone there is simply talking nonsense claiming to be in the business.
I am talking about professional and industry leaders from Photographers, Videographers, Industry Organizations, Graphic Artists, Make-up, Wardrobe, Set Design, Casting Directors, Soundstage Production House owner / operators, Kraft food services, executive transportation services, etc. These individuals / vendors will all be in the main lobby area where they have each purchased a table for the day at a cost of $79. Tables are standard six foot table with access to power, where they will display a banner ad or backdrop.
SPEEDCASTING -We are the first to offer a face to face live in person slate where Actors pay a fee to do a 10 minute monologue or just who they are to a panel (2 to 4) of Casting Directors and Agents. 3 hours 1pm to 4pm allows us 18 Actors to do their thing in front of the pros to hopefully get picked up. When an Actor registers he / she must upload a media bin, headshots, resume and if they plan on performing a monologue it cannot exceed 5 minutes.
PITCHFEST - Same as above only now we have independent film makers pitching their project. They have already registered with a Treatment, Teaser, etc and they get 10 minutes to tell their story in hopes that a panel (2 to 4) of Distributors / Investor Producers may just give them a shot. Same time slots of 10 minutes each over 3 hours same = 18 pitches.
We have broken down the above with a general admission day ticket $25.  All Access VIP ticket for $199 and in between for those interested in only the Pitchfest or Speedcasting a lower priced ticket. Door Prizes / raffle of high end electronics already in house donated from industry related companies such as Lume Cube.
NOTE - we are compensating the above professionals each $100.00 for their time on site open to close 12 noon to 4 pm paid at days end and they must be on site before 12 noon call time to set up .
Between social media, the coordination and support from FLIFF we expect a few hundred in attendance between 11 am and 4 pm that day.
Sara Rogers is our CEO and has a huge following in the industry with over 40 years experience. Also included in this email is Rion Heldibridle our CFO and actively involved with Artserve in Sunrise Florida where the event will take place on Saturday November 13, 2021 along with Lou Silver, the COO with over 30 years experience in marketing and promotion and business development.

Nonbinary Social Media Take On Romeo & Juliet
 Seeking Screenwriter
Location Los Gatos, California, New York City, New York and Los Angeles, California
 Status Development
 Type Episodic
 Genre Drama • Romance
Deadline Nov 25, 2021
 About the job
SEARCHING FOR WRITER TO TACKLE NON-TRADITIONAL TAKE ON ROMEO & JULIET
I’m the Director of Content Development for Sideway - an innovative new streaming service that uses the mechanics of social media to tell fictional stories - and we are looking for a writer to develop a new, gender nonconforming version of Romeo and Juliet for our platform. If you have any kind of direct, personal connection to nonconforming gender praxis, or fall anywhere on the LGBTIAQ+ spectrum, this is the gig for you. If you are a straight white guy, probably not.
A little more about the platform itself: Sideway is a mobile-only app that resembles a social media app in how it’s navigated, but populated by fictional characters rather than real people. Each show on Sideway takes place within an entirely simulated social world, complete with video chats, DMs, posts, likes, comments, all of which make up the stories told.
In bringing this new version of Romeo & Juliet to life, we are hoping to retain as much of the original text as possible, while at the same time not being sacred about prudent dramatic changes. That said, the framework of the story - the setting, character relationships, world and texture - are entirely up to you. It needs to be set in the present day, given the nature of the app itself, but all other aspects of the story are open to creative interpretation.
Please submit resume and a brief pitch to [email protected]. Am happy to discuss the concept, platform, compensation and expectations further, and answer any and all questions.
Happy writing!

Judah Ben Hur, a young nobleman of Jerusalem, a city under the occupation of the Roman Empire, is framed for the attempted murder of the Roman governor, by his erstwhile closest boyhood friend, Massala, now a Roman commander. Sentenced to life as a galley slave; a sentence which usually led to death within months, Judah survives, and after a pirate attack on the Roman navy in the Agean sea, travels to Rome a hero, having saved the life of the Roman commander in his escape. He once more returns to Jerusalem, seeking his mother and sister, who were imprisoned for the same attack, and finds no trace of them. He does however, find Massala, and blinded by rage, challenges Massala at the annual Roman “games”. Massala is killed in the Games, with his dying breath, reveals to Judah that his mother and sister were in fact released and driven from the city as lepers. With all hope, and all lust for revenge, gone, Judah is lost, but fate is not finished with him. He eventually finds his mother and sister, who are miraculously healed by a preacher, who has recently come to the city. A historical action drama set in Biblical times, interwoven with the life and death of Jesus Christ, who appears twice in the drama, this is ultimately a powerful tale of hope and love, set within the dramatic and often brutal times of the Roman Empire. We are a female-led theatre company based in the beautiful fishing port of Brixham, in Southwest England, to create top quality local opportunities for local creatives to create work in theatre, and to bring new productions to audiences across the South of England. Founded in 2005. Creating internationally awardwinning theatre based on historical events (including new writing) and stage adaptations of classical literature. Breaking down barriers to participating in theatre for actors, crew, and audiences alike. We love to hear from new prospective actors, creatives and audiences at any time, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, or experience. www.southdevonplayers.com www.facebook.com/sdevonplayers www.twitter.com/sdevonplayers email: [email protected]

UPS to Allow Natural Black Hairstyles and Facial Hair
UPS has 525,000 employees and for decades has segregated workers who wear beards or long hair in accordance with their religious beliefs into nonsupervisory, back-of-the-facility positions without customer contact, and banned natural hairstyles “such as Afros, braids, curls, coils, locs, twists and knots.” If you were UPS CEO, would you: (1) maintain this policy or (2) end the ban as long as beards and mustaches are worn in a businesslike manner and don’t create a safety concern? Why? What are the ethics underlying your decision?
UPS will allow workers to have facial hair and natural Black hairstyles like Afros and braids as it becomes the latest company to shed policies widely criticized as discriminatory amid nationwide demands for racial justice.
The delivery company, which has more than 525,000 employees worldwide, said it was also eliminating gender-specific rules as part of a broader overhaul of its extensive appearance guidelines, which cover hair, piercings, tattoos and uniform length.
UPS said that Carol Tomé, who in March was named the first female chief executive in the company’s 113-year history, had “listened to feedback from employees and heard that changes in this area would make them more likely to recommend UPS as an employer.”
“These changes reflect our values and desire to have all UPS employees feel comfortable, genuine and authentic while providing service to our customers and interacting with the general public,” the company said in a statement.
The policy change, previously reported by The Wall Street Journal, comes amid a growing national movement to ban racial discrimination against people based on their natural hairstyle. Many companies, responding to months of protests against systemic racism, have also sought to address discrimination by overhauling brand names and marketing images and by diversifying their ranks.
California last year became the first state to ban discrimination based on hairstyle and hair texture by passing the Crown Act — an acronym for Create a Respectful and Open Workplace for Natural Hair. New York and New Jersey soon followed with their own versions of the law, and a federal version passed the U.S. House in September.
In February, the Oscars highlighted the issue when it named “Hair Love,” a film about an African-American father learning to style his daughter’s natural hair in his wife’s absence, best animated short.
The actress Gabrielle Union and the former N.B.A. star Dwyane Wade, the married producers of “Hair Love,” invited to the ceremony a Black high school student in Texas who had been suspended because of the way he wore his dreadlocks.
The student, DeAndre Arnold, was one of a number of Black people who said they had been singled out in the workplace or in school because of their hair.
In 2018, an 11-year-old Black student at a Roman Catholic school near New Orleans was asked to leave class because administrators said her braided hair extensions violated school rules, according to a lawyer for her family.
In 2017, Black students at a charter school in Massachusetts complained that they had been subjected to detentions and suspensions because they wore hair extensions, prompting the state’s attorney general to order the school to stop punishing students for wearing hairstyles that violated the school’s dress code.
In 2018, UPS agreed to pay $4.9 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which said the company had failed to hire or promote Muslims, Sikhs, Rastafarians and others whose religious practices conflicted with its appearance policy.
The commission said the company had for years segregated workers who wore beards or long hair in accordance with their religious beliefs into nonsupervisory, back-of-the-facility positions without customer contact.
The company’s new policy clarifies that beards and mustaches “are definitely acceptable as long as they are worn in a businesslike manner and don’t create a safety concern,” according to UPS documents reviewed by The Journal. The new rules took effect immediately.
The policy also permits natural hairstyles “such as Afros, braids, curls, coils, locs, twists and knots,” according to The Journal. And it eliminates guidelines specific to men and women. “No matter how you identify — dress appropriately for your workday,” the policy states.
The Teamsters, which represents UPS workers, said it was “very pleased” with the changes.
“The union contested the previous guidelines as too strict numerous times over the years through the grievance/arbitration process and contract negotiations,” the union said in a statement. “We have proposed neatly trimmed beards during several previous national negotiations.”
Some legal specialists called UPS’s policy change long overdue.
“Though UPS has defended its grooming policy in past civil rights litigation, it appears that UPS may now better appreciate that its natural hair ban maintains centuries old race-based exclusion of Black workers from employment opportunities simply because they wear their hair as it naturally grows,” said D. Wendy Greene, a professor at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law and an architect of the Crown Act.
“In doing so, UPS’s grooming policy sent a clear message to Black workers that they were required to either change or extinguish a fundamental part of their racial, cultural, and sometimes religious identity to be a member of the organization,” Professor Greene said.
Angela Onwuachi-Willig, a professor of law and dean of the Boston University School of Law, who has researched hair codes, said the change at UPS “recognizes that allowing people to be their authentic selves is good for business.”
Policies that ban natural Black hairstyles are clearly discriminatory, she said, because they deem Black hair to be “inherently unprofessional.”
Dominique Apollon, vice president for research at Race Forward, a racial justice advocacy organization, said companies that forbid natural Black hair send the message that “white standards of beauty and white comfort are ultimately the default.”
“I’d like to see these sorts of policy changes accompanied by a deeper reckoning with the past, and with a humility that unfortunately doesn’t come often in our litigious society,” he said. “Companies like UPS need to acknowledge that these sorts of policies have had long-term effects, and will continue to have ramifications or racial outcomes unless more is done.”
