If Team 7 were DigiDestineds (Part 6):

Sometimes Taka digivolves from his Puwamon form into

Chicchimon then

Hyokomon then

Buraimon then

Butenmon.

When Taka is in his Hyokomon form matrix digivolves with Sasuke, the end result is either

HolyChronomon or

DestroyerChronomon.

Taka has a total of 33 forms & Sasuke has 7 (his regular human form plus 6 Mega Digimon forms which are the result of him merging with his Digimon partner via matrix digivolution).

Despite all the difficulties in their partnership/platonic friendship, Sasuke & Taka love each other; their bond stays strong even in Sasuke's adulthood as they travel together sometimes.

I think that could be really cool, in the same way the the friendship a partner has for their digimon makes them digivolve, the friendship a digimon holds for their partner could trigger the transformation and/or digivolution of the partner. Ohhh, this sounds cool, very neat idea, @thepomniplush!

ANOTHER FANFICTION IDEA, primarily a power up.

So everyone remembers Digimon Tamers, right? The best season of digimon? Well, remember Biomerge?!

The OP mega level digivolution that revolved around the Human partner becoming one with their digimon once the two of them have come to understand eachother?

Well what if it wasnt a digimon exclusive thing!

What if the D-arcs took a preexisting phenomenon that wasn't exclusive for digimon and used it for the Tamers Mega Forms???

So here's my vision for this! Biomerge is a phenomenon when a Human and Nonhuman(like a digimon, a demon, a yokai, pokemon, pretty much any 'living' thing with sentience) seek to confide in one another, to understand and work as one, find the power to BECOME one. And such situations lead the two to become a Being reach the power levels of a Mega digimon(even if the being born is not a digimon). Such instances may very well be a permanent transformation(the D-arcs act as a 'stabilizer' that keeps it from being a permanent).

Say we have a Human who despite being completely annoyed by his little siblings, possibly even hating them to a degree, would punch the life out of someone if they hurt his little siblings, and Kuroka Toujou(highschool dxd), a older sister whos sister hates and fears her, but still is fiercely protective of her. These two would protect and even kill someone for their young siblings safety, but are in two situations that they don't have the ability to understand, (our human example) almost hates his younger siblings but still wants to protect them(maybe he's a disappointment in the family, and refuses to be a failure towards his most important role in the family) and Kuroka killed and made herself a criminal to protect her sister, and now, even though Koneko hates and fears her, she still wants to protect her no matter what. Now put them in a situation where they are aware of how they connect to their siblings, their siblings are all in danger, say Kuroka is losing hope and giving up, but (H/E) is having none of it, telling her off, she's a SS rank criminal, and hes a ordinary human, yet he's still fighting on while she's giving up, hes still going and trying to go save is little siblings despite his dislike of them, while she's giving up even though she completely cares about Koneko even when Koneko hates and fears her. He calls into Question why Kuroka even cares about Koneko when she basically despises her, fears her. This fires up and angers Kuroka for (H/E) hypocrite question when he wants to save his siblings despite how much he hates them!!! He stops and chuckles, neither of them really understand the motivations of the other except one trait they both share, they are the older sibling, everything else, neither understands the other. They both want to understand, they both want to get out of this tight spot they are trapped in and help. They realize this, and reach for the others hand, they hold eachother in Arms length, motivation flaring off them. Unseen power grows within their locked hands. The power flows through and between them as they glow, and they both shout to the sky as their bodys bleed into eachother, and a being with a power close to a God is formed.

They did not become one for power, they became one to understand eachother.

One of the partners needs to be a Human, the other cannot be a baseline human.

Things from the Ryuji Cyber Sleuth AU. Elizabeth is friends with Mirei. No, it's never explained, but one of Ryuji's cases from Mirei is to survive a fight with Elizabeth (she wants to know the strength of a digidestined verses a Wildcard) the reword? Two programs downloaded into his body, one that is able to read his Persona in order to repair his digital body, the other partly converts his soul into data(like a fifth of it) So the other program can read his persona properly... this has a side effect on after a few events. He gains the ability to combine with his persona to become the Digimon CaptainHookmon

Ooo Biomerge was one of my favorite kinds of digivolution. Ryuji's going to be having a lot of fun with being the living weapon instead of guiding one.

Kinda a spiritual successor to if *insert Pokémon* evolved like a Digimon😅. In this case it’s what if the Pokémon protags had Digimon.

This is Gen 1-5 I’ll do the others later. Their partners are based on the starters they chose it masters.

No brainer of course he gets the fire lizard. As for him going in the virus direction a bit that’s because Red has Mega Charizard X.

Anyway as the og boy he probably uses a crest or something to evolve his partner. His dark Digivolution is at the perfect level as a reference to Tai.

Honestly with Ethan I just stuck to the whole flame thing and giving him a flaming partner that is not a dragon or dinosaur.

I kinda just gave them armors for funzies but only Ethan would probably actually use it. I imagine Silver having Dianamon and they end up jogressing their Digimon in the final battle.

Unfortunately for poor Brendan I couldn’t find anything to serve as a super ultimate. If anyone has any ideas then tell me.

3rd one so…Biomerge? I think that would be especially cool with Bloomlordmon.

I guess since he’s number 4 that alternatively spirit evolution is on the table 😅. I mean…your throwing hands in Legends Arceus so maybe it could work. Especially since Digimon Frontier has a lot of holy figures involved too.

Overall kept to the samurai theme with Oshawott. I imagine his mega gets influenced by the dragon stone.

He 100% evolves his Digimon the same way Masaru does. This boy is clinically insane enough to throw hands with Pokémon in the manga. No I’m not joking.

I’ve decided that Black is either immortal or a Pokémon because those are the only explanations for how he isn’t dead. So go right ahead and fight those digital monsters Unova man.

I didn’t know what the digivolution mechanic is in Appli or Ghost game… (I think it’s grade for Appli but I don’t know…sorry…) If you put other, can you tell me what it is or what I forgot? I love digimon and do wanna learn more about the newer seasons before watching (I’m lazy) I did put the biggest ones.

Okay, but I do love me some ... like ... Fandom-Swap AUs. I know that might sound a bit funky but I didn't know what else to call it. Either way, I'm genuinely a sucker for these "What If?" Scenarios when it comes to AUs. I'll provide a few examples down below.

Pokemon AU: You can do this one with just about any fandom. Bleach. You just gotta think about what Pokemon the characters would have. Do they have a Signature Mon? Do they have a Type Specialty? Do Gyms exist? How about Regions? Is there an Evil Team? Anything's possible.

Digimon AU: Same as the Pokemon AU, you can do this one with just about any fandom. What Digimon would the characters have? Who has what Crests (Love, Hope, Light, Friendship, etc.)? Does Biomerge Digivolution exist? Or how about Spirit Evolution?

Yu-Gi-Oh! AU: You might be thinking that this one would be a little trickier, but not really. Just think about what kind of decks everyone would have in your fandom of choice. Would the character specialize in a specific Archetype? Or would they just specialize in a specific Type? Do they have a card they affiliate themselves with (Dark Magician, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Harpy Lady Sisters, Yubel, etc.)?

Power Rangers AU: Okay, okay. Hear me out. There are a wide variety of Ranger crews and seasons, right? Why should it be any different with doing such a thing with other fandoms? Besides, they do have team-up episodes, after all. So you'd have to ask yourself who would be which color. What do they represent? Do they have any special powers? What is their weapon of choice? So on and so forth.

Haven AU: This one would be a little trickier to pull off but can definitely be done. Well ... sort of. Long story, short this one would work great with stuff like My Hero Academia, Bleach, X-Men, The King of Fighters. But instead of the powers being considered blessings, so to speak, they're considered curses. And there is That One Person who immune to them and able to help ease everyone and calm them down and teach them how to control their powers and all that. I definitely recommend giving their TV Tropes page and Wiki page a look at for you to get a better understanding of things tbh.

My Hero Academia AU: This one is basically like Haven but the polar opposite. Not only that, but people are a lot more familiar with My Hero Academia than Haven. Everyone, or just about everyone, is born with a Quirk. What would their Pro-Hero name be? What would their Quirk be called? Who would be a Pro-Hero, Sidekicks, Students, Villains, etc.?

Dungeons and Dragons AU: Because who doesn't like the concept of Paladins, Druids, Monks, Clerics, Dragonborns, Astrals, Shifters, Elves, and the whole nine yards?

And then we have fandoms where they're so similar that you can literally just swap them out and it'd still work. I'm not even kidding. In fact, that is how I got the idea for calling them Fandom-Swap AUs. Some of these will include:

Pokemon and Digimon: They're genuinely similar enough to where you can swap the characters and make it last. How would characters like Ash, Red, Blue, N, Iris, Lysandre, Professor Kukui, Professor Oak, Lusamine, and the likes react to Digimon? How would characters like T.K., Matt, Tai, Davis, Rika, and Takuya react to the likes of Pokemon? What Digimon would Lusamine be paired with? Who would Davis have as his Signature Mon?

Bleach and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Okay, so Xenoblade Chronicles 2 isn't that known to a lot of people but let me tell you that it's so freaking similar to Bleach (and vice versa) to the point to where I can use terms almost interchangeably to help fans of one get into the other with ease. Shunsui's Zanpakuto (Katen Kyokotsu) would end up being a Blade and have a physical body instead of being stuck in Shunsui's head all of the time. She'd actually be able to partake in the battle physically alongside Shunsui. Zeke's Blade (Pandoria) would end up being his Zanpakuto that is based around Lightning and speed. And, instead of being able to fight alongside him physically she'd be in his head more often than not. Does that make sense? Either way, I recommend y'all looking them both up on both their Wikis and TV Tropes to get a better idea. Bleach (Wiki and TV Tropes) and XC2 (Wiki and TV Tropes).

Digimon Tamers - Volume 4

The beginning of this volume flat out spoils things by putting characters that haven't been introduced yet on the character page. (MarineAngemon, the Juri clone, the D-Reaper queen...) Maybe that's a common practice with shounen manga...but it shouldn't be. Like, what's the point?

Ch. 22

Lopmon and Terriermon interacting will never get old. Love how they lift their ears with curiosity when they first see each other.

I think I prefer experiencing the ~sad~ part of Tamers better in manga form. I remember it being quite drawn out in the anime and I rather just blitz through it at this point. I think the whole Leomon death storyline just annoys me because they barely developed his character and then the writing expects me to be devastated. Juri was more developed, sure, but we barely got any insight into her relationship with Leomon so her deep, dark depression doesn't feel super warranted either.

Ch. 23

I think this chapter was pretty well done. They're giving an epic battle it's time instead of zooming past it.

It bugs me that there isn't a specific name for digimon/human digivolutions. In this translation they called it a "true mega form." On the wiki it's called both an ultimate and a matrix digivolution. IDK why it doesn't count as a jogress. I guess there's like...two different things: the way you digivolve (matrix) and the digivolution level (ultimate)? If it's confusing for me, I can only imagine it'd be confusing for a kid.

It's a bit weird for an English translation, but I like that Guilmon says "MMA!" a lot. I can totally hear him making that noise with his OG voice. Creative onomatopoeia.

Ch. 24

This chapter was hella short, not much to say about it.

Ch. 25

Okay, now they're calling it a "biomerge digivolution." I guess the localizers also thought "this needs a cool name!"

Casual 90s/early 2000s sexism sprinkled throughout this translation. Takato says he "screams like a little girl" in a previous chapter and in this one he says "easy to forget Renamon and Rika are girls when they're always kicking butt!" Eye roll...

SaintGalgomon looked super badass but for some reason when Sakuyamon appeared they chose to dedicate two closeup panels to her chest and high heels? Sus...

Ch. 26

Juri's face didn't look as sinister here as it did in the anime (when it's revealed she's possessed). I guess that's probably a good thing. More subtle.

I don't remember the sovereign digimon giving Culumon a "you're a real boy now" speech in the anime. That was sweet.

They cut the part where Beelzebumon gets zapped by a bunch a digimon. In this he just collapses after the battle with Dukemon, which I think I prefer. (But why'd he say he'd be "bunny chow?" He wasn't even fighting Terriermon...)

Ch. 27

The grotesque, over-the-top facial expressions the artist keeps drawing for Hirokazu piss me off. They're just so ugly.

Ugh...they really had to ruin a serious moment (Guilmon getting the ark to stop) with a poop joke. This manhua does NOT treat its audience with respect.

Hmm they completely cut out Juri's family. So much for developing her character I guess.

They kind of forgot to imply that the ark is sentient. I mean they showed it stopping on its own, but in the anime they really hammered it home by having Guilmon have a conversation with it and showing it's HAL-like eye. That was one of my fave parts so I'm sad lol

Ch. 28

Okay, this is starting to feel totally different from the anime, they skipped like 5 episodes worth of content. Also, IDK if the scanlation I'm reading is missing some pages because the ending with Dukemon being beat up was completely nonsensical (it cut from Beelzebumon being hit to a panel with Dukemon outta nowhere?) I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that there are missing pages...

The scene where Beelzebumon uses Leomon's attack to save Juri played out differently here. She doesn't seem particularly perturbed by it and Beelzebumon can't save her because he gets attacked, not because Juri recoils for too long.

Ch. 29/30

Lol they completely cut out Justimon. Makes Ryo's role even more pointless! Ryo doesn't even reappear at all...

This manhua series was crap to begin with but they really screwed the pooch with this ending. SOOO rushed. Grani appeared outta nowhere with zero introduction. Like they just went immediately to Grani's sacrifice. I still don't know if I'm missing pages or if the writing is just that garbage. Oh well! I tried.

Nikkomon and their Digidestined saw that this was going to be the final battle. The one that would determine the fate of both the Real World and the Digital World. Their bond had grown so strong over their time together that they were unable to unlock the power of Biomerging, resulting in this ultra form.

I did it! I completed the entire month! This was the first month-long challenge I've done in a while and I'm super proud of myself. Thanks @addrianodivino for hosting this!

How Digivolution Function with Reploids:

When it comes to reploids, being robots and not humans means that they don’t usually have a digivice as they themselves are the Device themselves. Meaning that reploids act both Tamer and digivice at the same time leading to…interesting developments how Digivolution works as they are actually different varieties two of evolution. While it requires a level of bonding between the reploid and the digimon, another is…less than pleasant to perform.

Standard Evolution: Normal Digivolution that we all know and love, it requires a level of friendship between reploid and digimon. Their energy is used to speed up a digimon’s digivolution, the higher the level the more stamina and energy that it consumes. So most of the time it has a time limit of how long the digimon stays in that form. Normally like humans, if the Digimon have a strong bond with their reploid partner the time limit extends and it consumes less stamina than the reploid provides. It can possibly create an energy feedback between reploid and digimon if their friendship is strong enough. The limit reploids Digivolve their partners is the Ultimate level, but there are cases where the reploid can Digivolve their partner to Mega or potentially Ultra level. But leaves to be determined as records show that a few reploids and their Digimon can achieve such a high level without consequences.

Symbiosis Evolution: A uniquely powerful evolution that is essentially a pure fusion between the DNA Soul and Digicore coexisting together as a new being. This is where the bond between reploid and digimon has transcended into new heights, of their souls working and existing together with no harm with each other. Despite being a new being it will inherit aspects of the reploid’s armor integrated into the form it self. But if this form is pushed to the absolute limit, there is a chance that both souls can either be damaged beyond repair. It’s an extremely rare and powerful process to perform, to trigger it this transformation must happen if the digimon and reploid have an extremely powerful bond. Only a very few and select individuals can perform this evolution without difficulty. Essentially Symbiosis is a combination of DNA evolution and Biomerge evolution, due the DNA soul and Digicores being incredibly similar and yet different.

Side note

The constant use of symbiosis evolution, can cause unexpected Mutations on the reploid’s DNA Soul to somehow obtain traits and abilities of their digimon companion and vice versa. It is unknown what this phenomenon can affect their health. But it seems that both parties are not negatively affected by their mutations. But is advised that the use of symbiosis evolution must be treated with caution.

Amalgamation Evolution: A uniquely horrifying transformation of a forced fusion between the reploid and digimon. A parasitic version of Symbiosis Evolution. Where both cores are in a constant battle of control and the body tearing itself apart into a chimera like form. It’s destructive and unpredictable, it’s commonly formed when a digimon is desperate to consume data from reploids to become stronger or a reploid forcefully fuses with a Digimon to obtain more power. It can often lead them into a state of endless agony, having one goal in mind: destroy, consume and survive. Or in a more rarer case the Digimon forcefully assimilates the reploid’s DNA Soul into their data to be their new armor, weapon or a new Digivolution. If it’s the other way around the reploid gains a new transformation that makes them even more destructive than ever.

There is a possibility to save the digimon or reploid, but the separation would also lead to irreversible mutations or worse if their souls are not extracted safely. It is strongly advised to approach these types of beings with utmost caution.

If Team 7 were DigiDestineds (Part 3):

Uchiha Sasuke's Crests would be Courage (Virtue) and Wrath (Sin). His digivice is a medium violet D-Ark/D-Power (which lacks the card slot and) which has a navy blue rim (around the screen) & matching buttons & a likewise strap with the clip for attaching the digivice to things being medium violet. The digivice's dark grey square screen has 1 of Sasuke's Crests appear on it in medium violet whenever he connects with his Digimon partner emotionally in ways that link to the either of the 2 Crests. He has a

Puwamon nicknamed as Taka (Sasuke tried to go with Garuda then Aoda, but the birdie Fresh Digimon only answered to Taka). He's male. The duo quickly get along and so easily formed their spiritual connection & caused the digivice to appear, then their platonic friendship bit by bit becomes toxic as Sasuke gets manipulated by 1 of the villainous Main Characters during the 6 DigiDestineds' adventures, 'til the others' help causes him to improve as a person & break free from being used by the villain and Taka (who had crossed the line from loyalty to fanaticism) to become independent instead of always clinging to his human partner.

Whenever Sasuke & Taka connect in a way that represents 1 of Sasuke's 2 Crests, Taka digivolves. Either from his Puwamon form into

Poromon from which he then digivolves into

Hawkmon then

Aquilamon then

Garudamon (which Sasuke thinks is funny the 1st time it happens).

The culmination of their platonic bond lets them (with Taka in his Hawkmon form) matrix digivolve into

Susanoomon.

Sometimes Taka digivolves from his Hawkmon form into

Coatlmon/Quetzalmon then

Sandiramon.

Actually how would Solo react too the Digimon considering that for a good portion of the game he belives Sleuth/Tamer's power are from Mu technology

What does Solo think the Digimon are?

Solo would think the Digimon were Mu related at first. That is until they digivolved or Biomerged with Tamer/Sleuth. I can imagine he's more sensitive to EM Waves due to his heritage so Solo truly notices how off they feel. Especially since the Digivolution process in general would release a burst of power that he can analyze better.

Solo would be curious upon learning about Digimon. Especially if some had been created as a result of Mu's influence since in a way they're descendants just like him. Information and concepts are often recreated in the Digital World in some shape or form thus the ancient civilization would be no different.

Solo would honestly feel a bit more at peace to know that more of his culture survived. Mu lives on in a sense, just in a completely different form.

Possibly out of left-field, but for the Trigun digimon au, how does Wolfwood meet his partner? And umder what circumstances does dobermon reach her ultimate and Mega levels?

I am ALWAYS up for talking about my aus! Jsut cuz I haven’t drawn for them lately doesn’t mean I’m not happy to chat :3. I think that Wolfwood probably met Gazimon when he was a kid, and him being a destined made him a mark for experimentation for the Eye of Michael! Humans bonded to Digimon are relatively rare, especially to have a special enough bond to manifest a digivice and a crest. I think Wolfwood found them as a Pagumon stealing the orphanages food. And despite putting on a bold exterior felt pity and camaraderie with the little guy.

Labramon evolves to Dobermon when July happens, and later evolved to Cerberusmon when the memory of July returns maybe? Hmmm I’m a little foggy in the Trimax timeline, and while the au is a conglomeration of all the series it’s the one that has the most distinct timeline. That fight with Knives thought I think Knives reached into Vash’s code and forces the power of digivolution out of it. It uh isn’t fun. He probably doesn’t go back up to Cerberusmon for a while, until he’s had an arc learning to forgive himself, make some degree of peace with his trauma, and have a talk Cerberusmon about what happened. I think they have a rough patch around there. And then the Mega Plutomon is a Biomerge of Cerberusmon with Vash (only Vash and Nai can biomerge since they’re fully data beings). This probably happens during the Wolfwood/Livio Fight? But right at the end.

It’s been a while I can’t remember if I wanted to follow the original story so one to one, but that’s kinda the gist I think - although the events surrounding these would probably be different from the OG.I believe I wanted it a little like Digimon Xros wars where there’s different Digimon teams/factions, and Vash’s is Love and Peace. Although similar events still probably happen.
