A Blackrock Story: A Boy with Turquoise Eyes
Happy 12th Anniversary to Blackrock Chronicle!
This comic ended up being 47 pages long (when I first sketched it, it was only 20 pages long). Since I can only upload 30 images in a post, I had to combine 2 pages into 1 image so hopefully it's still visually fine and not annoying to scroll through!
I wrote this mini-story more than 10 years ago, so I figured it was time to finally make it into a comic (after editing the writing a lot because I became a much better writer since lol).
Be aware of the TWs, and I hope you enjoy this comic!
TW: Violence || Blood || Injuries/Scars/Burn Marks || Kidnapping || (Temporary) Death || Loss of Limb / Amputation

Thank you all for reading one of my most insane projects ever!
Now, here’s another long story:
About 8 years ago, my life became so busy that to stay on top of my studies and activities, I stopped watching a lot of YouTubers, including the Yogscast.
I’ve grown up throughout the years. I had to stop acting like a kid to figure out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I’m still an artist today, but I haven’t drawn in this way for about 3 years to pursue my real passion. I love to draw, but I didn’t have the time or inspiration to make something grand.
About 3 months ago, I suddenly got curious about how all those YouTubers I stopped watching were doing, so I checked out their channels and watched a video or two before moving on. When I got to the Yogscast channel, on the other hand, I quickly fell in love with the new content and with everyone again.
It was insane to see how immediately my love for them came back. In 3 months, I’ve watched so many videos and streams/VODs. It’s all so comforting, funny, and uplifting. Clearly, I missed so much content in the past 8 years, but at least I don’t have to worry about running out of things to watch for a while.
What made me most happy was that despite changing a lot, I never stopped being that kid who laughed at the Yogscast’s shenanigans. It just goes to show that no matter how much the world tries to push you around, you never lose that sense of joy you had as a child.
Now, about Rythian:
Since I started watching the Yogscast in 2011, Rythian has always been my favorite. I loved his series so much, especially with how he got into character to give us an immersive experience. It was an escape for me as a kid. When difficult moments were thrown at me, I watched Rythian’s series to find a sense of comfort.
So when I started watching his and Zoey’s Blackrock series, my mind was blown. The storytelling, acting, humor, and drama of the series were so immersive and touching that my creativity exploded.
I mainly use art to express myself and my interests because I struggle to talk about it. But funny enough, Blackrock was the only interest of mine that got me to not draw, but to write. I wrote a lot of short stories about the series—even how I envisioned the series would end. I was so inspired to create all the time from this series.
And what’s crazy is that at the beginning of this summer, I found all of those written drafts and notes from when I was a kid. I kept them all for 10+ years and found a very loose (and not that good) draft of this comic and I felt really inspired to finish it.
It was roughly when I was first watching Blackrock too when I realized that I can be creative in the future. The Yogscast helped me understand that I can do whatever I want for the rest of my life. If they could do it, then why can’t I?
What’s also wonderful is that even after so many years, Rythian never stopped being my favorite. When I started watching the main channel again a few months ago, I immediately found myself rooting for him whenever he was in the group videos. I just remembered how much happiness he brought me when I was younger and it makes me so happy that I still get so much joy whenever I hear his voice.
While working on this comic, I watched all of Kirbycraft and caught up on Kirby Farm. I can’t help but smile the whole time Rythian, Briony, and Kirsty interact with one another. The dynamic of these three brings me so much laughter and comfort. A part of me is upset that I didn’t get back to watching everyone when Kirbycraft was still live, but better late than never, right?
I also originally started this comic without the intention of posting it. But then I figured, Hey, it’d be great to share it with everyone who’s also been impacted by this series and the Yogscast in general, so I made this blog to post it here. Honestly, I’m not sure when the next time I’ll be able to draw is (who knew building a career takes away a lot of your energy and time?). But I think that’s what’s so wonderful about my love for Yogscast and particularly Blackrock: I didn’t make this comic for the likes or views. It was just because I wanted to, and I’m so happy to see there are so many people on here who feel the same love for them as I do.
This series and the people who made it, along with the people who supported it and loved it and continued to love it, impacted me for the better. I learned so many years ago that I can be creative for a living, and have been working hard towards doing that since.
Happy 12th Anniversary to the Blackrock Chronicle. To Rythian and Zoey who put a smile on this kid’s face even during the toughest of times.
And to the Yogscast, thank you for being there for me when I needed you all the most and for still being here when I came back. Your ability to inspire me and make me laugh never disappeared throughout the years I was gone, and I’m ready to laugh some more.

The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien (1937)
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort. Written for J.R.R. Tolkien’s own children, The Hobbit met with instant critical acclaim when it was first published in 1937. Now recognized as a timeless classic, this introduction to the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, the wizard Gandalf, Gollum, and the spectacular world of Middle-earth recounts of the adventures of a reluctant hero, a powerful and dangerous ring, and the cruel dragon Smaug the Magnificent.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan (2005-2009)
Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can't seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. And lately, being away at boarding school is only getting worse - Percy could have sworn his pre-algebra teacher turned into a monster and tried to kill him. When Percy's mom finds out, she knows it's time that he knew the truth about where he came from, and that he go to the one place he'll be safe.
She sends Percy to Camp Half Blood, a summer camp for demigods (on Long Island), where he learns that the father he never knew is Poseidon, God of the Sea. Soon a mystery unfolds and together with his friends—one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena - Percy sets out on a quest across the United States to reach the gates of the Underworld (located in a recording studio in Hollywood) and prevent a catastrophic war between the gods.
The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien (1954-1955)
In a sleepy village in the Shire, a young hobbit is entrusted with an immense task. He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power - the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord's evil dominion.
The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis (1950-1956)
Four adventurous siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie— step through a wardrobe door and into the land of Narnia, a land frozen in eternal winter and enslaved by the power of the White Witch. But when almost all hope is lost, the return of the Great Lion, Aslan, signals a great change . . . and a great sacrifice.
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1943)
The Little Prince is a classic tale of equal appeal to children and adults. On one level it is the story of an airman's discovery, in the desert, of a small boy from another planet - the Little Prince of the title - and his stories of intergalactic travel, while on the other hand it is a thought-provoking allegory of the human condition.
The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini (2002-2011, 2023)
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.
Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save--or destroy--the Empire.
Time Quintet by Madeleine L'Engle (1962-1989)
It was a dark and stormy night; Meg Murry, her small brother Charles Wallace, and her mother had come down to the kitchen for a midnight snack when they were upset by the arrival of a most disturbing stranger.
Wild nights are my glory, the unearthly stranger told them. I just got caught in a downdraft and blown off course. Let me sit down for a moment, and then I'll be on my way. Speaking of ways, by the way, there is such a thing as a tesseract.
Folk of the Air by Holly Black (2018-2020)
Of course I want to be like them. They're beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever.
And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe.
Jude was seven years old when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there, despite her mortality. But many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.
To win a place at the Court, she must defy him--and face the consequences.
In doing so, she becomes embroiled in palace intrigues and deceptions, discovering her own capacity for bloodshed. But as civil war threatens to drown the Courts of Faerie in violence, Jude will need to risk her life in a dangerous alliance to save her sisters, and Faerie itself.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab (2020)
France, 1714: In a moment of desperation, a young woman named Adeline meets a dangerous stranger and makes a terrible mistake.
As she realizes the limitations of her Faustian bargain-being able to live forever, without being able to be remembered by anyone she sees- Addie chooses to flee her small village, as everything she once held dear is torn away.
But there are still dreams to be had, and a life to live, and she is determined to find excitement and satisfaction in the wide, beckoning world-even if she will be doomed to be alone forever.
Or not quite alone-as every year, on her birth-day, the alluring Luc comes to visit, checking to see if she is ready to give up her soul. Their darkly thrilling game stretches through the ages, seeing Addie witness history and fight to regain herself as she crosses oceans and tries on various lives.
It will be three hundred years before she stumbles into a hidden bookstore and discovers someone who can remember her name-and suddenly, everything changes again.
Circe by Madeline Miller (2018)
the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not obviously powerful like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power—the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.
Threatened, Zeus banishes her to a deserted island, where she hones her occult craft, tames wild beasts, and crosses paths with many of the most famous figures in all of mythology, including the Minotaur; Daedalus and his doomed son, Icarus; the murderous Medea; and, of course, wily Odysseus.
But there is danger, too, for a woman who stands alone, and Circe unwittingly draws the wrath of both men and gods, ultimately finding herself pitted against one of the most terrifying and vengeful of the Olympians. To protect what she loves most, Circe must summon all her strength and choose, once and for all, whether she belongs with the gods she is born from or the mortals she has come to love.

who was Augusta Chiwy?
Tumblr media
Episode 6 of Band of Brothers is a masterpiece, but I think writer Bruce C. McKenna made a huge error in only including Augusta Chiwy as a background character with no name in the episode, while Renée is a focus. I did some research on this amazing hero, who honestly deserves a miniseries of her own.
Renée Lemaire and Augusta Marie Chiwy (pronounced shee-wee) were nurses that lived in Belgium before the Battle of the Bulge. They volunteered to help Dr. John ‘Jack’ Prior (who was assigned to the 20th Armored Infantry Battalion) when the battle started. Dr. Prior evacuated the wounded soldiers he was taking care of from Noville to Bastogne as Noville was taken by German troops. Lemaire and Chiwy both volunteered to help Dr. Prior take care of the massive amounts of wounded men who were brought from the front lines into Bastogne.
Augusta was born in Belgian-colonized Africa (in the part that is now Burundi) to a Belgian father and African mother. Her family moved to Belgium when she was a child, and she trained as a nurse there. She was visiting Bastogne to see her father when the Battle of the Bulge began. She chose to use her skills as a nurse to help the soldiers who were trying to defend Bastogne from German forces.
Augusta Chiwy was heroic in her work during the Battle of the Bulge. War historian Peter Chaddick-Adams wrote that “Chiwy accompanied ‘Doc’ Prior to collect casualties from Mardasson Hill, north-east of Bastogne, wearing a GI uniform because her own clothes had become saturated with blood.” Chaddick-Adams wrote that Dr. Prior thought that bullets missed Augusta as she was out on the line because she was “so small.” Augusta was only 23 years old when she cared for hundreds of soldiers during the battle.
Renée Lemaire was killed by the Luftwaffe on December 23 when German aircraft bombed the Bastogne aid station, along with thirty wounded soldiers who were also inside. Augusta Chiwy was blown through a wall but miraculously survived the bombing. Her contributions to saving lives, and providing comfort to many soldiers in their last moments were largely unrecognized until 2011, when Augusta Chiwy was granted Knighthood by the king of Belgium for her service in the battle. The American ambassador to Belgium also presented Chiwy with the Civilian Award for Humanitarian Service. At this ceremony, Chiwy said: “What I did was very normal. I would have done it for anyone. We are all children of God.”
She passed away at 94 years old on August 23, 2015.

Here's the part 3 of my thread since I reached the photo limit...again.
If you haven't read part two. Go read it before reading this one! (X)
Those are all the Kaylor evidences I could find for that year. If I've forgot some, don't hesitate to tell me so I can add them!
If you haven't read the posts for the other years, I highly suggest you do before reading this one:

2020 Part 2 (X)
2021 Part 1 (X)
2021 Part 2 (X)
As always, I'll include link to more informations on certain piece of Kaylor Lore as we go, so some Koincidences are easier to understand. When there's a (X) beside something, it's to give you more context and help you understand better.

There's a Glitch in the video.

Interesting because Karlie posted a video in her Story on Septembre 10th with Red fingers and toes nails. The. Exact. Same. Red.

And it's not over.
Because in that video Taylor wears about the same outfit as when she recorded King Of My Heart...on Karlie's birthday.

And it's even more interesting because in her 2019 Musicians On Musicians Interview with Rolling Stone (that we talked about in the 2019 thread). (X)
Taylor talks EXACTLY about that with Paul McCartney.
How he could go spend Halloween with his kids wearing masks...
Here:
Swift: But I think that in knowing him and being in the relationship I am in now, I have definitely made decisions that have made my life feel more like a real life and less like just a storyline to be commented on in tabloids. Whether that’s deciding where to live, who to hang out with, when to not take a picture — the idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain, but it’s really just trying to find bits of normalcy. That’s what that song “Peace” is talking about. Like, would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave? Stella always tells me that she had as normal a childhood as she could ever hope for under the circumstances.
McCartney: Yeah, it was very important to us to try and keep their feet on the ground amongst the craziness.
Swift: She went to a regular school .…
McCartney: Yeah, she did.
Swift: And you would go trick-or-treating with them, wearing masks.
McCartney: All of them did, yeah. It was important, but it worked pretty well, because when they kind of reached adulthood, they would meet other kids who might have gone to private schools, who were a little less grounded.

How do you do research for your vampire wips? Like do you watch movies or read and like what's your favourite inspiration
oh gods i've been experiencing every flavor of vampire media i can get my grubby little hands on since I was like, eleven. bear with me, it's been a long day and i am sleepy.
So a lot of it is reading and watching movies and finding podcasts and music and folk tales and modern opera (looking at you night library of sternendach) and vampire adjacent horror media like cannibalism and infection and reanimation and body snatchers and necromancy and the not yet dead or the not quite alive.
Technically. Technically. After a childhood reading of Bunnicula and the absolute 8 year old terror of Batman vs Dracula, my first foray into...you know. Book Form Person Vampirism would be Amelia Atwater-Rhodes Shattered Mirror. (Along with In the Forest of Night and Demon in My View). I got a lot of early things from the mythos I saw her doing there (ignoring that two of my original antagonists are straight rip offs of Nikolas and Kristopher).
Admittedly (and obviously) my main inspirations for a lot of the how of my vampirism come from 1987 cult classic The Lost Boys because I saw that movie at age 11, rediscovered it at 14, and then proceeded to watch nothing else for four straight months. I love the necessity of the first kill, I love the constant weakening of the body and the uptick in bloodlust while in the half-vampire state, I love the stupid decorated wine bottle full of blood.
But I am constantly seeking out new vampire media. It is almost the only thing I buy if I'm going to a brick and mortar bookstore. I buy them without vetting them, I watch shitty B and C movies just to see if they did anything halfways interesting with (usually no, but i've been surprised before), I dig up any video game I can find even if I hate half the characters (Crimson Spires), and I constantly screw around with my own mythos to see what works and what doesn't.
My vampires aren't even the same across all my projects. Safe in the Dark is very much more typical sort of Lost Boys/Near Dark/Grounded Mostly In Reality Aside From the Whole Teleporting Thing vampirism. And then you have Damask, 2005/Vee the Vampire where I am fucking about with religious horror and some low magic aspects and alchemy and just, adding way more supernatural fuckery.
I love vampire media, I love creating vampire stories, I love finding new vampire stories to experience. There is no monster I love more, there is no horror I gravitate towards faster.
A Favorite Book: The Lights of Prague by Nicole Jarvis
A Favorite Movie: It's the Lost Boys, I can't not say it's the Lost Boys, I will have my card carrying Lost Boys Whore Status Revoked. I owe the late Joel Schumacher many things.
A Favorite Song: Shake It Out by Florence + The Machine has been synonymous with regretful self-despising vampirism for me since 2011 and i'm not about to give up its spot to anyone. (But shoutout to Good In Red by The Midnight as well)
A Favorite Podcast: That Vampire Show by @tandonshows (because wow if I was not Kat Wright as a teenager I am a goddamn liar)

Ladies-in-Waiting and Maids-of-Honor (Europe, but Mainly England)
*Self Correction*
From this post about the Strong sisters...
These are concerning official positions and assignments, not wives and daughters who just happen to follow their husbands and fathers to court and hang out with royal/high-ranking noblewomen (a bit different with girls/children but can vary). Both emerged from the French medieval queen (c. later 1200s) having her own "queenly" household the more time she spent with the king
A lady in waiting was/is:
(usually) currently married or widowed (thus older and going more toward Consorts and Regnants)
considered as something of a companion/secretary to a female royal family member (i.e., princesses either of "the blood" or consorts), a Queen Consort, Queen Regnant, even Queen "Mothers" & Dowagers OR higher ranked noble women
they do not cook & deep clean chambers nor look after the lady/princess/queen, these are servant jobs; they would mainly supervise those who did or relay messages of orders/directions
more often financially independent from the mistress bc they are married or a widow
Duties of a LiW (all quoted from Wiki):
proficiency in the etiquette
languages [profiency]
dances
horse riding
music making and painting prevalent at court
keeping her mistress abreast of activities and personages at court
care of the rooms and wardrobe of her mistress
secretarial tasks
supervision of servants, budget and purchases
reading correspondence to her mistress and writing on her behalf
discreetly relaying messages upon command
More duties (Brittanica):
putting on and removing the queen’s clothing and bathing her
*expected to put her needs above those of their own husbands and children
spent most of the day with the queen and provided her with companionship and entertainment in her private chamber
attending to the queen [in public functions] and participating in such events as ambassadorial receptions and masques -> proficiency in several languages
expected to maintain high moral standards -> avoiding scandal and often staying disengaged from politics...yet..."many queens required their ladies-in-waiting to pass along intelligence about their families and members of the court" Why?:
Exercising political power in the medieval and early modern patronage systems of royal courts was in fact a key element of the lives of ladies-in-waiting and often the reason that they sought such offices. A lady-in-waiting had direct access to the queen, who wielded varying degrees of influence over the king and his court. This allowed ladies-in-waiting to advance the petitions and career interests of their families and others. Many ladies-in-waiting received no official compensation for their work and were understood to have taken the office solely to gain social and political capital. [...] Ladies-in-waiting were particularly powerful in the courts of female monarchs who ruled independently, as they had direct access to and influence with the highest power in the land.
A maid of honor was:
always unmarried (thus usually much younger)
sometimes and in some courts, the "juniors" to the ladies in waiting; can be conceptualized as a sort of "apprentice" to LiW in regards to etiquette, learning from her higher-ranked superirors
can be entirely or mostly dependent on the mistress due to her unmarried status

I’m just curious what you guys have seen and which Blood media is your favorite. For me, I’ve seen it all except for Blood-C. I had no idea Blood-C existed until recently so I’m currently watching it. I was having a dilemma on which anime series to watch next, but I decided to watch Blood-C to pay respect for the rest of the Blood media I’ve already seen in the past. So until then, I do not have a favorite. I didn’t realize there were many mangas and films released for each different Blood anime film/series so I’m just gonna put the main Blood films and series that were first released before their secondary media.
