Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 - New Trailer

VTM and VTMB fans, we finally have an actual date! Bloodlines 2 has been rebuilt by Dear Esther developer The Chinese Room with different gameplay mechanics and RPG systems.

Instead of starting out as a thinblood, we'll start the game as an Elder that has come out of torpor. This surprised me and I think it's an exciting change.

In case you're somehow unaware, Hellenes = Greeks. They're flat out calling the clan they've stereotyped as rulebreakers and undesirables the Greeks. You know, the people that are still alive and well in 2023, living in a country that's been ravaged by foreign powers and is exploited for tourists, that's had countless artefacts stolen. Yeah.

looking back at the very first bloodlines 2 announcement trailer and how I was a bit skeptical of it all but still really excited about it and thought it actually looked so good (like my only complaint at the time was the 1st person but I hate that in any game) but oH how far we’ve fallen…

if i had a nickel for every critically acclaimed game with a hyped up and ever-delayed sequel that was dug out of development hell by The Chinese Room, i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

This one started out as some artwork for a #vampirethemasquerade character in one of my campaigns: Brad Goldstein, 11th Lasombra. I ended up really enjoying playing around with hatching in places I don't usually put it, and the black flame over the eyes in particular I'm quite proud of. Striking the balance between maintaining a coherent eye outline while giving way to the Lasombra's Oblivion Sight took a little experimentation but it was a hell of a lot of fun!
