Personally I'm skeptical but willing to give it a chance. I'm mostly wondering if it'll have the right to call itself vtmb 2 or if it's just a vtm game with brief references to the first part but lacking any of the charme, mood and humor. Feel free to comment ur opinion. So far I'm getting 'cautious optimism'

Replaying vtmb and I'm wondering, why did they choose to make the vtmb 2 player character a elder and not a caitiff (clanless) vampire?
I just think it's so much more harder and weird to start as a elder vampire. Like why? They have history, experience, traits that people, especially new players, don't have.
Plus I'm just curious about that part of the lore with thin bloods and kind of hated by everyone vampires.

vtmb2, based on the new trailer, appears to have you play a pre-made, set character. the voice acting is bad. so much for ever playing this (if it ever comes out)

I am like kinda really worried that bloodlines 2 is gonna lose like campy goth fun and love that made bloodlines So Good. Like it seems like they really want to put out an action game that appeals to a wide audience. I’m both so excited and so afraid for the actual game
I’m also like really afraid they’re gonna take out the humor

New video and blog post on the narrative and RPG elements of Bloodlines 2.
Some key takeaways:
- The game itself is set around Christmas time 2024 in Seattle.
- The protagonist is an elder named Phyre. You can still change your clan/gender, but the character is set. No clarification on a full character creator, or if there are just set gender/clan presets like in Bloodlines 1.
- The player is fully voiced.
- Fabien is a thinblood character that only Phyre can hear (sounds a bit like a V and Johnny Silverhand situation). He's described as an anchor and a compass to the character. He also helps Phyre with technology and the new world.
- Romance is hinted at.
- Phyre awoke from torpor and a fellow kindred named Ysabella stole some of their power via a strange mark on their hand.
- Clothing/fashion choice affects how NPCs will react to the character. You can attempt to alter the resonance of your feeding victims, presumably by scaring them, etc.
- You were known as the slayer in Cairo previously and have quite a bit of infamy. There are NPCs in Seattle that will recognize you. You have some say in your backstory.
- Multiple endings depending on your decisions.

What’s an unexpected disadvantage of being a vampire?
Having to give up food deliveries because the couriers keep disappearing mysteriously! 🏍️

[I keep saying that I'm not interested in Bloodlines 2 because it probably won't have Strauss in it. But actually I'm relieved. It's a dangerous world, and I'm worried something bad might happen to him; I'd rather just be able to imagine he's safe and happy.]
