Blueblood Headcanons / Family

I wanted to make a Prince Blueblood headcanon...where he isn’t a douchebag and has a reason for acting the way he did. 

1. “Prince” Vladimir Blueblood - The seventh son of a foreign family, Vlad fled the country when his elder brothers started warring with one another. 

While he appears to have an overblown ego and distaste for grime, Vladimir is actually quite sweet inside. How he acts in public (and how Leon acts when pretending to be him) is just that, an act, intended to push other ponies away and protect Leon. 

His special talent is direction, and more importantly: Misdirection. A Blueblood illusion is almost as impenetrable as a changeling transformation. 

2. Vlad works for Celestia as her spymaster, Count Bloodshed. His illusion as the Count is quite good indeed, and anyone who claims Vladimir is actually the spymaster is often scoffed at, for it is quite a silly notion indeed. 

As spymaster, he uses his special illusion abilities to create timed illusions for his spies, tied to their cutie marks. These illusions (unlike the one for Leon) rarely last for longer than a day. Prior to the Changeling uprising, he hired rebel Changelings (like Kevin, Cranky’s friend) for an elite task force. Nowadays, he still hires Changelings, they’re incredibly talented spies.

The ninth, and final son of the foreign family, Leon gained his wings (and cutie mark) at an exceptionally young age. He fled the country with his elder brother. The elder brothers, at war for the throne, refused to bow to the youngest sibling, and even years later send assassins to kill their brothers. 

His true cutie mark was hidden until his 20th birthday, and the illusion cutie mark that matches Vladimir’s is a highly advanced spell, immune to all antimagic and magic dispelling charms. This mark allowed him to disguise himself as his brother while attending the Gala, sorry Rarity!

Leon’s talents lie in healing: he heals ponies and the land, with the strongest healing and life magic since Mage Meadowbrook and Mistmane. 

The mane six were some of the few allowed to learn of Leon’s existence, about 3 months after the Changeling invasion. When they met him, Leon apologized to Rarity, and as an apology, Vladimir danced with her (though they never got romantically involved). Vladimir and Leon are both close friends with the mane six, though it is kept under wraps until Leon is an adult, in order to protect Leon.

 4. Pacific Glow (Pinkie Clone) - The Pinkie Clone from Manehattan, as seen twice. With painted cutie mark and straightened hair, she goes as “Pacific Glow”. After being found by the pony spy network, she moved to Canterlot with her disguise to be under Count Bloodshed’s supervision, where (unknowing to her) she fell in love with this secretly sweet Vladimir. Who claimed to hate dirt, but was seen in the royal gardens, mud up to his elbows as he planted blue tulips. 

Pacific, unlike the Pinkie from whence she came, is a fan of quieter parties (though she’ll still go to ragers from time to time).

5. Pacific, but from the front this time.

6. Vladimir was...smitten by the pink pony to say the least. He tried to maintain a professional distance, but Pacific wasn’t having it. She wooed him, and wooed him hard. Plus, Leon really liked this potential future sister in law, and was Pacific’s stallion of honor at the wedding.
