The way SRK was described was an unfaithful power wielding douchebag who jeopardised PC's career but when i did some of my own digging i seen that SRK did in fact face quite alot of criticism for the affair & that it wasn't PC's first time sleeping with a married man. I've noticed that on that particular forum, anyone who criticises Priyanka is deemed racist, ageist or "jealous of her because she married a Jonas brother" so it's hard to enquire about.

Well, when I say how he treat woman it basically the amount of respect he gives to them. The way he will always take care of the females around them. If there are female journalist or Co star, and if it get late at night, he will ensure that the drop off situation is taken care off, and there is enough security for them.

One instance that comes to mind is that there was an event, and SRK has a bad habit of smoking. He is addicted to cigarettes, and he wanted to smoke one, so he took permission to smoke, some of the journalists that were there to interview him. They gave him go ahead, he lit one and must have had two smokes when he saw a pregnant journalist walking in and standing in the corner at the end of the hall. He immediately threw the cigarettes and asked his manager to arrange a chair for the lady by the window. He offered her water because it was obvious she was exhausted. There was no need for him to do that, but he did because he wanted to. Similarly, he has always supported endeavors that are done by any of his female co-stars. Whenever you go to meet him at his home, which is also his office, once the meeting ends, he won't walk off. He will come to see you off, he will open the car door and once you leave the premises that is when he will walk away. While speaking to you, he will look in your eye. His eye would never wander. These are small things, but it means a lot, it speak a lot of his character.

Let me make one thing clear, whatever I said above is how I felt and things I notice through our interactions at events. I don't know him personally. I can only comment on the basis of how he acts in public and behaves in public with normal people. I have no idea what he does behind the close door.

Having said that, Bollywood is just like Hollywood. There are times when PR generates rumors to create a buzz around film. Or there are paparazzi who see two people together and try to pair them up. Now, whether they were together in real life, no idea. They both said they were close friends. SRK even blasted a few media journalists for asking such questions to Priyanka Chopra. And, in India, if a boy and a girl walk out of the club together, it means they are in a relationship, and the rumors will start. Acc to them a girl and a boy can never friends🙄🙄🙄 And Priyanka had a reputation, she was rumored to be associated with quite few names.

Also, Bollywood is patriarchal in nature. There is no equal pay for actors and actresses. Forget equal pay. Female actors hardly get any meaty roles, unless and until you are in the top 5, and you are paired against some newbie actor. If you have A-listers, then good luck with having equal screen space. In most if not all female actors are treated as eye candy or item girls (actresses hired only for dance wearing revealing cloths) It is the worst thing I know, but that is how the industry works. In that SRK is one of the actors, if not only, who don't mind sharing equal space with his female co-star. He doesn't mind getting his ass kicked by a woman or woman riding a bike/car while he is screaming his head off in the passenger seat. Trust me, big thing, as lot actors would edit such scenes. He is the only actor who gives first bill credit to female actors.

So, in such crazy industry, there is Priyanka Chopra, who didn't look as she does now. Priyanka, you see, now is a product of good plastic surgeons. Having said that, she wasn't ugly looking. She was pretty. In fact, she was hot. But as per Bollywood standard, she was dusky, which is like a big drawback. You need to be fair and slim to make it as an actor or actress. Things are changing now but not drastically.

So there is Priyanka, who managed to make a name for herself as a good actor, but earlier in Bollywood, the growth of females was very limited. There weren't many opportunities that allowed females to shine. Priyanka, as she should, started picking projects that offered her interesting character and more screen space. She didn't want to be the girl who is their only to romance with the lead actor. That is why she wasn't seen in many films as she started choosing her films. It had nothing to do with SRK or Gauri. Then she forayed into singing and entered Hollywood through pop songs.
