UNESCO has proposed Anuradhapura as a candidate for World Heritage status. The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi was the primary factor in Anuradhapura's transformation into a holy city.
According to recorded data, this sacred tree was erected in the ancient Maha Megha Vana Royal Park in Anuradhapura in the month of "Unduvap" (December), 236 BC. On the orders of Arahant Mihindu Maha Thero, Arahant Sanghamitta Maha Theree ceremonially carried the sacred Bodhi sapling here. In the Maha Megha Vana Royal Park, which is devoted to the revered bhikkhus, King Devanampiyatissa of Sri Lanka erected this Bodhi tree with great ceremony. The Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is 2,247 years old at this time.
As a result, the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi of Anuradhapura is the oldest tree in the world with a recorded history. The Sanskrit, Pali, and Sinhala names for this tree's family are "asvastha," "asvattha," and "aesatu," respectively. Given its religious importance, botanists gave it the name "ficus religiosa."

What happens if I cast Reanimate targeting Platinum Emperion? Do I lose the 8 life, or is it on the field with its static effect active before life loss occurs?
When resolving a spell or ability, you follow its instructions in the order they’re printed. In the case of Reanimate, Platinum Emperion will be returned to the battlefield by the time you’re instructed to lose life, but Platinum Emperion has locked your life total already and protects you from the life loss.

How do you differentiate between effects that only apply to creatures currently on the field as opposed to buffs that still affect creatures that enter the battlefield after the effect has already resolved? For example, does casting a spell that says "creatures target player controls get +1/+1 until end of turn" mean that a creature that is played afterwards gets that effect?
The key to making this distinction is to look at whether the effect changes the characteristics of any of the permanents it’s affecting, such as color, P/T, types, or abilities. If it does, then it can only apply to permanents currently on the battlefield when it happens. If the effect changes the rules of the game without affecting the characteristics of any permanent, such as making all creatures unable to block this turn, then it applies to permanents that enter the battlefield after it resolves.
