Okay trying out posting some headcannons about the Curtis gang (including Betty for my fic readers cause I’ve written 100k words and I do what I want)
So without further ado I give you: How airport traveling goes for the gang (modern AU)
Darry is peak stressed eldest child™️ at the airport. Soda and Ponyboy make fun of him for this relentlessly
However, the gang overall is absolute chaos, so his stress isn’t necessarily unwarranted
Soda is still packing 5 minutes before they’re supposed to leave for the airport and it drives Darry insane
Dally only brings a backpack. No suitcase. He brings like some random clothes and whatever he just tosses in the bag. Pretty sure he doesn’t even know what he’s packed
Darry parking the car is so much of a production for no reason, man is cursing every time he thinks he finds an open spot but it’s just a car that’s hidden
He parks in the far lot because they aren’t paying the $30 a day garage parking fee because wtf (honestly same) and they have to take the shuttle
When they actually are walking into the airport for their first plane trip with Betty coming along Two Bit takes pity and pulls her aside to warn her about Darry being a bit… high strung at the airport
They forget that she is an eldest daughter™️
They always try to fly an airline where you get a free checked bag with your ticket because these boys refuse to travel without their pocket knives and so they gotta have them in checked luggage.
The second they’re at the luggage counter and getting boarding passes Darry immediately takes all of them. He doesn’t trust a single one of them to be in charge of their own boarding pass. Betty snatches hers before he gets the chance to hold on to hers though.
The second their bags are checked behind the counter Betty turns into some insane drill Sargent and starts just marching towards security with or without them with her pink tote bag over her shoulder.
The duo that is Darry and Betty in the security line. They both are like barely holding on every time some random person holds up the line or slows things down.
Soda and Steve get in a full on wrestling match in line. They almost take Ponyboy down on accident cause he wasn’t paying attention
Speaking of Ponyboy not paying attention, his bag gets pulled by security and Darry just lets out the most long suffering sigh.
Ponyboy forgot he had a full water bottle in his bag. Everyone but Darry and Betty think it’s hilarious
Dally has to go through the metal detector like three times cause he keeps forgetting things on his person that will set it off. despite being told he’d need to take his belt off like eight times, he still didn’t the first time he tried to walk through.
Johnny somehow silently got through security five minutes before everyone else and like already has his shoes back on and everything and it just watching it all unfold
The boys all want to get food immediately after getting through security. Darry and Betty refuse to allow anyone to do so until they’ve visually confirmed that their gate does indeed exist
Two Bit disappears for like an hour and just comes back to the with a new pair of Bose headphones, an armful of snacks, and like four magazines
Steve and Soda bring a Switch and occupy themselves and most of the gang by playing games while they wait
Darry and Betty get in a full on fight because mans wants to just stand in line before they’ve even started boarding and she won’t let him. Sir you are in boarding group 4.
Eventually she says fuck it and lets him go stand there cause he gets so mad, so she simply leaves to go to Hudson news and get herself some candy.
Once boarding actually starts Darry makes them all line up early, he about pops a blood vessel because half of the guys immediately have to pee and leave for the bathroom
Betty very pointedly does not get up to come stand and wait in line with them until the group before theirs is almost done. Darry is convinced she’s gonna miss the flight despite the fact he can SEE her
Darry handing out boarding passes in this line and being like don’t you dare lose this. They have to walk approx 5 feet to the check in counter lmfao
Seats are duos as follows: Dally and Two Bit, Johnny and Pony, Soda and Steve, Darry and Betty.
Soda legit asks if they need to swap seats as they’re like in the aisle of the plane cause literally no one has seen the two of them fight this bad ever. They snap at everyone including each other over everything. Betty gets mad at how Darry puts his backpack into the overhead bin and he just softly bangs his forehead against it in exasperation
They second the they’re all sitting everyone’s convinced they’re gonna kill each other because the seats are tiny and there is no leg room or personal space
Betty simply takes the people magazine two bit bought (stole?) and opens her skittles as if she and Darry weren’t about to throttle each other thirty seconds prior
Darry passes out everyone’s snacks and then says no one speak to me for the next two hours.
Soda realized the two of them were meant to be when he looked over and saw that they both were currently glaring daggers at someone for arguing about seats and holding up the flight, they were sharing candy and just somehow sharing their mutual type A meltdown together

Sonos unveils the Sonos Ace: a $450 pair of Bluetooth headphones, coming June 5th
Tumblr media
Sonos announced its long rumored entry into the very competitive market of wireless over ear headphones today with the Sonos Ace. The company is touting this as a major launch, with CEO Patrick Spence saying in earnings calls this product could be what turns the company’s relatively slow financial performance around.
I’m not enough of an finance expert to say whether the Ace are in fact going to become a billion-dollar product for Sonos, or even how today’s announcement will be received by the company’s vocal fanbase, but the Ace are certainly not what I would expect if you told me Sonos was making a pair of headphones, and this launch suggests Sonos is taking a somewhat different approach to courting new customers.
The Specs
The Sonos Ace will cost $449 and go on sale June 5th. They’re bluetooth headphones and offer the features you’d expect for this price class: 40mm drivers, active noise cancellation (which Sonos claims is “world class”), and even AptX Lossless support for Android phones. They also support USB-C line-in like the Era 100, 300 and Move 2, but unlike those speakers you won't need to buy a dongle to connect your phone; a USB-C to C cable will work just fine. Sonos also includes a USB-C to 3.5mm aux cable for any devices you own with headphone jacks. The Ace come in Black or Soft White at launch, and I'm hoping to see more colors released down the line like Sonos did with the Roam.
The construction of the Ace uses plastics and some stainless steel in the headband, though not nearly as much as the Apple AirPods Max. The Ace weighs in at 312 grams compared to the Max at a hefty 385 grams. They're still heavier than the Bose QC Ultra (254 grams) and Sony WH-1000xm5 (249 grams) but Sonos promises that it has nailed the weight distribution here to avoid discomfort. As someone who sold their Airpods Max because of how heavy and uncomfortable they proved to be over time, I’m looking forward to putting the comfort of these to the test.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Ace is mainly controlled by a single mechanism on the right earcup Sonos calls the “content key.” It’s a metal button that can also slide up and down, enabling volume and playback control from a single interaction point, similar to the digital crown on the AirPods Max or simplified playback controls on Bose headphones. This is a huge plus in my book over the finicky touch controls brands like Sony prefer. ANC control and power-on also get their own buttons but they’re not as pronounced as the content key so users should have no issue confusing any of them.
The Ace is also the first Sonos device that can be entirely set up without using the Sonos app, ironic given the ongoing controversy Sonos has courted with the app redesign. The Ace will work out of the box with any bluetooth enabled device, and customers can unlock additional functionality like enabling head-tracking for spatial audio or adjusting EQ settings in the app.
The last thing I’ll note here is that while the Sonos Ace are bluetooth headphones and will not connect to your home Wi-Fi network at all, they will offer some integration with users’ Sonos home systems at launch. If you own a Sonos Arc, and only an Arc for now, the Ace will be able to pair to your soundbar and provide an experience that “envelops you in dramatically detailed sound from all directions” according to press materials shown to Pixel Dash. Sonos calls this feature TV audio swap, and this is what sets the Ace apart from all its competitors on paper at least, and if all else is equal, could be the difference maker when buyers pick them up.
The Angle
Sonos seems to be pushing the Ace more as an entryway into its ecosystem than another cog in users' existing setups. It only connects to the company’s most expensive soundbar at launch (the cheaper Beam and Ray soundbars will get Ace support down the road but Sonos only says that's "coming soon"). Wireless, lossless audio listening is limited to android phones capable of AptX Lossless, or use of a USB-C cable.
Without direct Wi-Fi streaming to the Ace from the Sonos app, it's also important to note that listening to Dolby Atmos music for iPhone users could be quite difficult if my past experience with other non-AirPods devices is anything to go off.
I don't want to sound too dismissive of TV audio swapping, just that some Sonos fans may be disappointed that this is the only way the Ace can integrate with a Sonos system. That's not to say Sonos doesn't have an advantage with how this feature has been implemented.
Tumblr media
When pairing the Ace with an Arc, the headphones connect over a 5Ghz direct Wi-Fi connection, the same way other Sonos products like a subwoofer or speakers set as surrounds do. This connection is rock-solid and also lossless.
(Edit 5/22- The Verge is reporting that the connection between the Sonos Ace and Arc is 345kbps, or slightly higher than the 320kbps that AAC bluetooth headphones utilize. We'll need to test how aggressive and noticeable the compression is in our review before drawing further conclusions.)
While AirPods can connect to an Apple TV 4K to provide a personal surround soundscape to users as well, they do so over a hyper compressed Bluetooth signal. Roku's long-standing feature to let users connect wired headphones to some of its remotes also leans on Bluetooth. Sonos' implementation should be able to send uncompressed, Dolby Atmos audio to the Ace fed directly from your TV’s eARC port, so hopefully Sonos puts all that extra data to good use.
Sonos added that later this year it’s launching a feature called TrueCinema, which will alter the Ace’s audio processing to make it seem like the surround and Atmos effects are coming from the room instead of the headphones. According to press materials shown to Pixel Dash, “TrueCinema technology will map your space and render a surround sound experience so realistic you'll forget you're wearing headphones.” I’m assuming this will be an expansion on Sonos’ TruePlay technology that will give the Ace enough data to map sound more accurately than they will at launch. Pixel Dash has reached out to Sonos to clarify how exactly TrueCinema will work and will include any response in our review of the Ace.
Sonos is offering a compelling package with the Ace. The price is fairly in line with the rest of the premium headphones market and the features match up as well. Whether or not the added ability to pair to a Sonos Arc will be the difference maker is something only time will tell. If the sound quality and comfort are able to best Sony, Bose, and Apple then that might be enough to make first-time Sonos buyers choose the Ace as their first product, and I’m sure Sonos hopes those buyers will pick up an Arc down the line if they're interested in putting TV audio swapping to the test.
The major question is if existing Sonos customers will buy the Ace in droves as well. Every Sonos fan knows that these systems are built piece by piece with the expansion of your Sonos system becoming somewhat of a habit. The Ace's limitations as a new piece to a Sonos system could leave some users disappointed, but since Sonos says the Ace are its most requested product, I'm willing to bet plenty of existing customers will be placing their pre-orders today.

Cardboard/Paper Pack-age Design
February 5, 2024
This assignment tasks me with coming up with a sustainable package design that serves its intended purpose, as well as an additional purpose. The intended goal is to make us think of designing a better future that isn't full of pretty garbage.
I wanted to pursue a packaging design in something I would actually use. My first thought was video game cases. I play a lot of video games, and over the years I have amassed a collection of plastic cases that sit in a box in a storage unit. I thought of replacing the plastic case with a cardboard one that contains the disk on one side, and the other can unfold into either a game manual or a poster.
My second idea came from my families love of card games. Growing up, most card games I would play required you to discard the Jokers from the deck, but now that I'm older and can comprehend more complex rules, the Jokers are back in. So I thought, why not make the box out of the 2 most optional cards in the deck? The front and back of the box would tear off to become the Jokers while the rest of the box could fold into a holder for the remainder of the deck.
Following this line of thinking, I lead myself to music. For the last decade of my life, I have spent most of my days with a tune on my lips and an earbud in my ear. I have since adopted the over-ear headphone lifestyle, which has introduced a more engrossing and higher quality listening experience, however I often struggle with finding a place to leave them. I have been known to use the adjustable branch of a floor lamp, a banister, and the edge of my coffee table to store them. Although these alternatives work fine for a short time, it would be much easier to have a dedicated spot for easy access and safe storage. After a brief research session I have concluded that my proposed design is not only sustainable, multi-purpose, and incredibly clever, but it will also push the world of headphone packaging into a new-age.
My proposed design will allow for headphone users to take their brand new headphones fresh out of the box, and quickly fold said box into a stand so they can proudly display them for all to see.
February 7, 2024
I spent this class researching the top headphone brands, their products, and their sustainability practices. I found that Bose, Sony, and Sennheiser are striving for a sustainable future. Sony and Sennheiser have fully recyclable packaging, but I could not find the same for Bose.
February 12 + 14, 2024
After spending too much time staring at different boxes and researching headphone brands on the computer, I decided to finally try and make a box.
My first attempt at making a box was a successful experiment. I started with cheap paper and the memory of how a box might go together. I took the measurements from the headphones I currently own and then created a template at half the size to see if my vision was a viable option.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first layout went surprisingly well, however there were obvious changes to be made. Most obviously, a door for the bottom section.
With those alterations in mind, it was time to make another template.
Tumblr media
I was happy with how this test worked out so I made a few more adjustments and decided to go bigger.
February 19-23, 2024
Family week was productive for me! I put together the first full sized prototype, marked down the adjustments that needed to be made, and began making paper (more on that at the end).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The cardboard I used had a fold in it that I, unfortunately, could not avoid, so I had to improvise with two support struts on the outside of the box. a few of the fixes to be made were shorter lower supports so the muffs wouldn't touch the cardboard, as well as moving the lower door. I liked the idea of keeping that attached to the cover of the box, but it wasn't a functional choice.
February 26+28, 2024
After the deconstruction of prototype 1, it was time for the second.
After making a new template in Adobe Illustrator, I went back to the cardboard and knife.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Along with a new layout, I came up with the idea of using Velcro to increase the potential of reuse. This turned out horribly. I didn't consider the width of the Velcro in the template so the bottom of the box was entirely unstable and threw off the integrity of the stand. Although this box was already a failure, I pressed on to see what I could learn about the stand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That too was a failure, but I was happy with where the muffs were compared to the lower supports. I ended up learning a lot from this prototype, and was excited to move on and implement the changes in the next one.
March 4+6, 2024
Prototype 3 was a whirlwind of emotion. I chose a new material to work with, Illustration board, because it is thinner, feels more solid, and is clean and white for that extra elegance factor.
Before I could get to cutting, I had to make a new template that included the changes that needed to be made.
Tumblr media
This new template included a color coded system to help guide me in what needed to be done and where. Orange was box, green was the stand structure, blue is glue, red is Velcro. The changes were minor for this iteration, but they improved the design substantially. The black lines were indents for the stand to slot into, and the door for the bottom was moved to the bottom. I chose to make the front of the box fully detachable in hopes that it would increase the reusability of the box. (this kind of turned out to be pointless.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When putting this box together, I cut too deep while scoring in some areas, so some parts ripped (which was a huge bummer). I got really disheartened at this point because the culmination of hours of work was a bunch of pieces of a box that wasn't supposed to be in pieces. After a brief moment of self-reflection I pushed through the disappointment and learned what I could.
I discovered that the small supports combined with the new indents was enough to keep the stand from shifting and allowed for the top to fold smoothly to hold the headphones.
Although the box originally fell apart, I wanted to know if the box would actually work so I recut, and put it back together. It worked, and I finally felt like I might have been in a place I was happy with.
I then thought of a completely different design that could potentially allow for complete reusability of the box. The wonderful thing about this design is that I could reuse my old template to create the new one.

Fall audio products preview
Apple may only have a USB-C update to its AirPods lineup in the immediate works but the rest of the world of consumer audio products isn’t resting. Here are two announced and one rumored product launch that have me excited from some of my favorite brands in the space.
You can expect reviews on nearly all of these products as I secure units.
Sonos Moves 2 a more exciting portable offering
Tumblr media
The Sonos Move was a product that I could never recommend for a multitude of reasons despite its rabid fanbase. It was expensive, heavy, and had limited functionality as a portable, plus subpar battery life. So why am I excited about the Move 2?
The Move 2 is $50 more expensive than its predecessor at $449 and still quite heavy thanks to its 44Wh battery (all in it weighs the same as the original Move). But, with this generation, I feel Sonos has done enough to warrant not only the price increase, but also entirely justify the concept the original Move was trying to meet.
The Move 2, like the Era 100, makes the jump to stereo tweeters over its predecessor, but has the same sized midwoofer as the Move. I found the Era 100 to provide more detailed sound than the Sonos One, even if it still can’t provide much stereo separation, thanks to the nixing of downmixing stereo tracks to mono output. I expect many of the same benefits to carry over to the Move 2, and Sonos has confirmed to me that Era 100 owners looking at a Move 2 should expect comparable sound quality out of both products.
The increase of battery life from 11 to 24 hours will likely be the biggest reason most users upgrade or finally grab a Move 2. The JBL Xtreme series, arguably the default “large portable speaker” in the minds of most consumers, had the original Move’s battery life beat by 5 hours. Ultimate Ears’ Megaboom 3 was pushing 20 hours of battery. Sonos now has nearly all of its closest size competitors beat with a claimed 24 hours of battery, matching the massive JBL Boombox 3. I greatly look forward to testing Sonos’ claims.
Sonos has also upgraded the wireless capabilities of the Move 2 to be on par with the Sonos Roam. Bluetooth can now be used alongside Wi-Fi, allowing you to use the Move 2 as a Bluetooth transmitter for the rest of your Sonos system (the previous generation made you switch between Bluetooth or Wi-Fi). The upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 should also make wireless connections more reliable on crowded networks provided you have a compatible router.
If Sonos meets expectations it could have the ultimate kitchen speaker on its hands. A great sounding speaker that is meant to live in one place but can easily be brought anywhere you’d like music in a pinch, with reliable battery life for longer days.
Bose (possibly) rectifies its headphone offering
Tumblr media
Thanks to the always intrepid Chris Welch, we were treated to some photos of Bose’s upcoming wireless headphones courtesy of The Verge: the QuietComfort Ultra. These headphones look like the true update to the iconic QuietComfort headphone silhouette Bose should have shipped instead of the bold but ultimately compromised NC 700.
The NC 700 were a direct response to the rapid rise of Sony’s WH-1000xm line, and were the kickoff to the annoying trend of wireless headphones ditching the ability to fold into a compact carrying case. Now, Bose is returning to a refreshed design that is clearly in-step with the current QC45 headphones, but with premium touches and updates to the tried and true profile.
Welch also reports that Bose will be showcasing its take on the spatial audio trend. I’m immediately skeptical of this without confirmation the headphones will actually be decoding Dolby Atmos audio. If Bose is just messing with stereo tracks, I’m doubtful this will be more than a gimmick people quickly disable in their control apps, but I’ll need to get my hands on a unit once Bose actually confirms a release.
Welch was also able to confirm a successor to the incredible QuietComfort Earbuds II is in the works, also taking on the Ultra branding. These won’t be a design refresh but will adopt Bose’s spatial audio implementation.
The QC45 are still the most comfortable wireless headphones you can buy and I’m thrilled to see that Bose is sticking with what works as it fills the premium gap in its lineup the NC 700 never quite satisfied. We’ll have to wait for Bose’s official announcement to learn more.
Jabra takes its shot at the AirPods Pro
Tumblr media
Jabra announced its new flagship wireless earbuds at IFA with the Jarba Elite 8 ($199) and Elite 10 ($249)- true successors to the Elite 85t. The Elite 8 look like they could be the natural evolution of the compact earbud shape Jabra has been tweaking since the Elite 7 Pro came out two years ago. They’re insanely durable, with ratings that go above and beyond what we typically see from earbud manufacturers. They’re IP68 rated for full water submersion and dust resistance, but also meet the U.S. Military Standard for ruggedized electronics at (810H according to Jabra). They’ve also undergone HACT testing for exposure to corrosive environments like high heat, humidity, and salt water. If you live by a beach and find that your daily runs near the ocean are taking a toll on your gadgets, the Elite 8 have the certifications to show they should earn your confidence.
The Elite 10 are more of a next-step in Jabra’s design, with a primary focus on comfort and sound quality being their big draw. Jabra says the buds fit by sitting near the outside of your ear instead of needing to be twisted in your canal for a good seal, while still promising the best ANC the company has ever delivered. Hefty claims for sure, and the Elite 10 bears the price tag to match, going head to head with the second gen AirPods Pro at $249. This is definitely the pair from Jabra I’m most eager to review. Jabra has always offered outstanding earbuds for those on a budget, so let’s see what it can do at the top end of the market.
Both the Elite 8 and 10 offer various implementations of Dolby Atmos, with the Elite 10 offering Dolby head tracking to round out the experience. Like with Bose, you can color me skeptical until proven otherwise here, but it’s at least good to see that Jabra worked with Dolby on these implementations instead of going it alone like we’ve seen from other brands that offer “3D” sound profiles.

Headphone evaluation
With the rise of Bluetooth headsets, there is a new trend in the trend circle. Headphones have become a decorative existence. The headphones that are hanging around the neck every day have gradually become a national necklace.
Tumblr media
From simple air pods to necklaces with rich color matching, even Fujiwara and sacai have joined forces with the headset brand.
Even LV has taken a fancy to its market. Together with the headset brand, it has launched a functional Bluetooth headset, but today I will take you to evaluate these trendy headphones. Is it practical or not?
Noise reduction, in fact, is literally, the function of reducing the surrounding noise, divided into active and passive, active noise reduction is through the noise reduction system to generate a reverse sound wave equal to the external noise to neutralize the noise. Passive noise canceling headphones mainly block the outside noise by forming an enclosed space around the ears.
Stethoscope effect, when listening to music with headphones, the headphone cable collides with the outside world, there will be people who are very unpleasant "squeaky" sound, just like you sometimes wear headphones to run, you can always hear the headphones have a collision This phenomenon of sound, basically in-ear headphones will exist.
Tri-band is the bass-midrange and treble. Judging whether a headphone sound quality is good or not depends on how the three-frequency connection is connected. It depends on the clarity of each audio. The bass is good. For example, listening to fine dance door at the beginning will be very Shocked, some headphones have a good treble. When listening to the last sentence of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it will be very transparent. The clarity is that you can clearly feel the details of this tone.
Air pods are a lot of people used, but air pods2 was only released some time ago, so we also included it in the evaluation item. I think that most people do not use much wireless charging. It has little or no meaning. (People have always felt that wireless charging is very tasteless), so you can buy the standard charging box version 1279 without this need, the sound quality will be better than before, (not carefully cannot hear) tri-band balance, moderate, internal Replaced with the H1 chip, which means that the Bluetooth connection will be more stable.
But you have to praise the performance of the air pods, you will feel very intimate, such as automatically open the headset to open the headset, tap the headset, switch the function, open the charging box to view the power, wear it jogging It will not fall for a while, and the stability effect is not bad.
The trend of this headset itself is not strong, (after all, it is a practical route) and even many times on the road to see pedestrians are wearing a sly feeling, so I am equipped with some bright clothes, but generally buy this The headset is not bought for the trend, so it does not matter, as Apple's best product in recent years, it is worth buying it.
Although it has a design of the headphone head of the magnet, it is a chicken rib. Unless you fix it by holding it tightly, it can be maintained. It is impossible to fit it when you want to hang down naturally, so the line on both sides when walking It is often high on one side and low on the side. If you don't pay attention, it will fall off. When the headphones are attached together, the music will be automatically turned off. When you open it, it will play automatically. The control experience is medium. Because the buttons are tight, I have to press a Bluetooth button. 5 seconds.
In the headset brand, b&o is high-end, but the price is also high, the ear protector is full leather, the noise reduction effect is good, there is a feeling of isolation, although some people say that bose is better, but think of the appearance of bose Still forget it, then its control panel will be hit frequently, and then it will automatically pause. When I start using it, I really press it every time, then I just want to go back, then slide left and right, circle, Double clicks will have different functions.
Due to the noise reduction effect, it is very uncomfortable to wear it when you are not playing music. The ear has a sense of oppression, but the sound quality is really good. You can feel the clarity of the three parts of the bass-midrange and the whole part of the evaluation. The best, ok in battery life, charge a single charge, I can probably listen to 2-3 days, if you do not want to charge, you can plug the headset cable.
Beats is actually a popular model. If you test it first, my feelings may not be so obvious. When you get your hand, you can feel soft, Flex-Form headphone cable and silicone feel. U type at the neck is just right. The main thing is that it is long enough, not as short as the B&O, and the head of the magnet is basically buckled on its own.
Because BeatsX uses Class 1 Bluetooth technology, the distance of Bluetooth connection can reach 100 meters, but the sound quality is not as good as many evaluations on the Internet. The sound quality of headphones is generally good, then fatal injuries should be easy to break. The people are basically broken and then go to the Apple store to change the roots, the service life is about a year.
It is worth saying that the co-branded value of sacai is really too high, and it can be used as a necklace. The other two colors are also very heart-warming, but since the quality of beats x is not good, it is not recommended. Or, if you break, you can't change the same paragraph. As for the match, wearing Indian-style clothes is a good fit, but some simple T-shirts will look good.
Then, in this issue, our headset evaluation is over here. It is actually my personal audition point of view. It does not mean that others will use it. From low-priced brands to high-end brands, it is impossible to achieve functionality and practicality. Perfect, always good and bad.

Surface Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones Experience
You know today's leading brand of noise-reducing headphones market is too single, lacking fresh blood. Whenever you talk about this topic, the first thing that comes to mind is nothing more than Bose and Sony. The rest of the brands are related. The noise reduction products, but always have some disadvantages at some levels, which also makes it possible to actually buy really noisy headphones if you want to buy noise-canceling headphones. This also means that consumers are in desperate need of some brands with certain strength in the industry to enter the field of noise-canceling headphones, and Microsoft's appearance is in line with the public's expectation.
Tumblr media
Microsoft's noise-reducing headphones are called Surface Headphones, and Chinese is Surface wireless noise-canceling smart headphones. Obviously, this is an audio product designed to match its own Surface. Microsoft officially announced that it has prepared three internally. For a long time, I hope that I will be mature enough when I first get involved in the noise canceling headphones field.
From this point of view, Microsoft's design of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset should be a good enough product, but when I actually hand, I found that it may be worse than the real maturity.
Excellent knob operation is the most unique place on it
Not to mention the performance of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headphones, the configuration knobs are very attractive to me. Different from virtual touch, the feedback from the physical knob is more direct, and there is also a solid feeling in the experience. This may be the first time I saw the design of the knob on the earphone product. It is very novel. The actual effect is not bad. It should be noted that the knob of the Surface wireless noise reduction smart earphone has no paragraph sense, but adopts a stepless structure, and the damping is appropriate, and the daily use does not bring any operational inconvenience.
Microsoft's design team added a knob design to the left and right sides of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset. The left side controls the noise cancellation and the right side controls the volume. It is especially interesting that the left side noise cancellation control has 13 gears. The stepless knob can be finely adjusted to the level you need. It also includes an ambient sound zoom position, which can further amplify the surrounding sound, but it is somewhat different from the ambient noise mode of the general noise-canceling headphones. The effect of ambient sound amplification is very obvious, even to a bit noisy.
If the normal ambient sound mode is to amplify the external 100% volume sound to 120%, then the ambient sound mode of the Surface wireless noise reduction smart earphone is amplified to 200% of the volume for you to listen to, how to believe the effect You should have some understanding. This is also the case, if you do not really need this feature, then I do not recommend you to use.
In fact, from the overall shape and color matching of the headphones, the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headphones give people a visual look that is a very strong Microsoft Surface design. Light gray shell, simple and clever lines, and signature logo, if you love the Surface design for ten minutes, I believe this headset will also give you a lot of appeals, especially when you match it with Surface. That sense of harmony looks very comfortable.
On the texture, you can really see Microsoft's efforts on the Surface wireless noise reduction smart headphones. The main buttons are mainly on the right side of the headphones, one key, one call mute button, the charging interface is USB-C, ear The cover part is also quite soft, and the wearing feeling is no problem. I tried to wear it for a flight of 3 hours. There is no strong discomfort in the whole process, and the ear pressure control is just right, it is worthy of praise.
However, in terms of structure, the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headphone does not support folding, which makes the storage box appear larger, which is not good news for users who are often traveling.
It can be said that in terms of product design, Surface wireless noise reduction smart headphones do have their own characteristics, especially its knob design, which has a quite direct feedback effect on function adjustment. I used it for a few days and then used it back. The noise-canceling headphones that are operated are only slightly disappointing. The bilateral knob operation is combined with the touchpad on the surface of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Intelligent Headphones (click the play pause, double click the next one), the overall headset usage logic is very clean and clear, and the difficulty of getting started is very low, this may be Surface The wireless noise reduction smart headset brings me the biggest surprise.
The software experience is not mature, but it is not a big problem in daily use.
I also mentioned above, Surface wireless noise reduction smart headphones, from the product name point of view, this is a headset for Microsoft's own Surface, the "special" here not only refers to the design but also includes the software experience part.
Users can download free software called "Surface Headphones" through the Windows 10 software store. After connecting to the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset, you can adjust its sound and update the firmware, using logic with those smart headphones. Mobile App is similar.
However, what's embarrassing is that this software is only available in the Windows 10 software store. It is not available on the mobile phone. This means that if you want to modify the sound style of the Surface wireless noise reduction smart headset, you have to use Windows 10 specifically. The operation of the system's computer is quite inhuman.
In fact, aside from software assistance, Surface wireless noise reduction smart headphones are also excellent in their own experience. Not only the knob operation mentioned above, but also the configuration of a distance sensor, support for the function of taking off, pause, daily It's especially convenient to use, and the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset also supports connecting two devices at the same time. For example, you can connect it to your mobile phone and computer, so you don't have to worry about missing the phone even if you play with headphones. The message.
This is a noise-canceling headset that is more suitable for office environments.
I was very excited about the birth of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headphone. This excitement comes from the injection of fresh blood in the noise canceling headphones field. Its significance as the first headphone noise canceling headphone product of the Microsoft brand is extraordinary. However, this excitement gradually changes to regret as the actual experience of the product, it may not be a noise-reducing earphone product that makes you marvel.
Why do you say that? The main reason comes from two points, one is sound quality; the second is noise reduction.
First, the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset has configured with Bluetooth 4.2 technology instead of Bluetooth 5.0 technology. Secondly, in the Bluetooth encoding format, the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headphone only supports the most basic SBC, even the slightly better AAC. This is really unreasonable for a wireless headset that sells for nearly 500 $. You might say that Bluetooth technology and protocols are not particularly good for the sound quality of wireless headphones. Isn't it good to have a good sense of hearing? This is true, but the sound of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset is not excellent.
The low frequency and thickness are my first impressions on the sound of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Intelligent Headphones. The tuning is obviously the kind of sly route that Europeans and Americans like, but the sound is not too much detail, basically, it is thick. The low frequency is erased, which leads to the brightness of the sound that is supposed to be highlighted, the vocal lines are thicker, the sense of hearing is more general, and it belongs to a typical low-frequency style. Although the sound quality of the Bose QC35II and Sony WH-1000XM3 is not calculated, in contrast, I personally feel that the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset needs some adjustment in the sound, which is why the sound quality makes me feel sorry.
After talking about sound quality, let's talk about noise reduction. Since it is a noise-reducing earphone, then the level of noise reduction is the basic indicator for judging whether it is excellent. It can be explained that if you only use noise-canceling headphones in the office area or out of the street, then Surface wireless noise-reduction smart headphones The noise reduction strength is fully competent, and most of the low-frequency noise can be eliminated in the maximum noise canceling position, but the elimination of vocals is not obvious, which may also be Microsoft's tendency to eliminate noise algorithms.
The reason why I want to emphasize the scene used in the office area or out of the street is mainly that I wear it once. On the plane, I have a deep understanding of the Surface wireless noise reduction smart headphones and the WH-1000XM3 I bought. There is a gap in noise reduction. The image point is wearing the WH-1000XM3, which can denoise the sound of the aircraft engine to the air conditioning sound in the daily home. If you play a movie or music, you can’t hear the noise of the plane. Unlike the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset, it also deodorizes the sound of the aircraft engine to the sound of the air conditioner outside the home. This gap is quite obvious.
In a nutshell, the noise reduction capability of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset may only reach 70% of the WH-1000XM3. If you plan to use it on your travels, then I don't really recommend it, maybe just like it. As the model is marked, the best use of the Surface Wireless Noise Reduction Smart Headset may be limited to the Office environment using Surface.
advantage:
1. Excellent turntable design, an excellent experience;
2. A design style that fits the Surface product;
3. Support dual device connection and take off and stop function.
Disadvantages:
1. The sound quality is relatively average, and the sound is too thick;
2. There is a gap between the noise reduction strength and the bidding competition products;
3. Does not support folding;
4. The software level is not mature, and some functions cannot be experienced by domestic users.

Sony WF-1000XM4 Review
Sony has been a big player in the truly wireless earbud market with its WF-1000X line of earbuds. The WF-1000XM3 was a great product from the company before. It had great noise cancellation, good sound quality, and more. Apple AirPods Pro and Bose QuietComfort are better headphones than these earbuds, but they aren’t as good as these other headphones. Now, Sony has finally developed a good…

Double Din Stereo Analysis - JVC KW-XR810
I had been exploring Bluetooth sound systems for roughly a half year. Be that as it may, the criticism I read uncovered, no phonebook transfer,no guest recognizable proof, unfortunate sans hands sound quality. The JVC KW-XR810 handles these grumblings in a staggering contraption. What I appreciate about this recipient is that you can change the shade of the screen to accommodate your vehicle and there is no realistic razzle-stun light-show garbage like a heaps of collectors contain. The showcase likewise shows my cell phone's sign strength and battery power. It is perfect to simply get into the vehicle and drive without turning on or off or try and re-energize your bluetooth headphones.
My assumptions were blown away subsequent to placing in the framework. It's actually an awesome single head unit. The nature of sound is remarkable. It sounds multiple times more prominent than my manufacturing plant Bose H/U additionally on the industrial facility Bose amps and speakers. I'm coordinating to purchase a JVC vehicle sound system unit, yet I was not expecting it to be this great. Different shoppers are 100% precise, and they expressed that it's an extraordinary head unit. You can not turn out badly in picking this item. Playing the iPod with the unit is simple, and isn't drowsy very much like I've perused in several assessments, it's truly easy to use and just alterations tracks. In the event that your iPod is stacked to the very max, it could get a little longer for your item to filter the record system. Nonetheless, you ought to have focuses separated into playlists or properly labeled in any case to help you to kind by craftsman, collection or title.
One horrible criticism I could consider is the remote is exceptionally small. I don't for a moment even utilize it because of the reality it seems like a toy. All things considered, you may presumably get one more plan unit or consolidate your production line directing wheel controls since it accompanies a contribution for the connector. The plastic around the front from the item is exceptionally reflexive and your fingerprints might be essentially seen, yet I don't see them. My other criticism is, assuming you are setting up the speakers with this head unit is the pre-out voltage from the RCAs is 2.5v that is incredibly extremely low and furthermore you might have to make up for it on the enhancer by raising the info gain on the off chance that you would be able, or perhaps use line-drivers.
Having an extraordinary worth label on Amazon, I don't know the manner in which you could find for any better head unit. Get one at this point!

Warner Records and Bose have officially joined forces to release a "first-of-its-kind" non-fungible token (NFT) collection. The NFTs will be free to mint, despite a huge drop in the space and in the crypto market as a whole. The Stickmen Project, Warner Records UK, and Bose just released the 5,000-token NFT series, called Stickmen Toys, which has both audio and video parts. On this topic, the project's website says that each of the Bose Stickmen Toy NFT characters "comes with its own 30-second track, as well as custom-designed, hand-painted traits that are different from the main collection of NFTs." Also, "a variety of bass lines, drums, melodies, sound effects, and vocal samples" from The Stickmen Project were used to make these 30-second tracks. The Stickmen Project's two members aren't new to giveaways and other ways to promote themselves. The mint date for the NFTs will also be announced at some point in the future, according to the event's organizers. As stated at the beginning, "Warner Records are giving holders ownership of the visual and audio intellectual property" from the tokens. Warner Records said that "rare" Stickmen Toy NFTs with a Bose theme can be traded in for limited-edition headphones or Bluetooth speakers, in case this wasn't enough to get some fans excited. The people who own the tokens will also have access to exclusive merchandise and "The Playground," which, according to the teams involved, is "a community with perks like live events, Stickmen Toys streetwear, physical collectibles, and future Warner Records NFT projects." In a statement about the NFT collection, Warner Records VP of audience and strategy Seb Simone talked about how NFTs could be a way for artists and fans to connect in the digital age. Simone, who has worked for Warner Records for 10 years, said, "NFTs are a powerful way to extend the relationship between an artist and a fan. They give people the chance to invest in an artist's future success and give them value along the way." "We're proud to be the first major label to give collectors free ownership of the audio-visual copyright in a way that is real and meaningful. We're even happier to be working with Bose to make the project even better." Even though NFT sales are down 92 percent year-over-year at this point in 2022, a lot of fans are showing their support for and interest in the Bose-Stickmen Toys partnership on social media. But it goes without saying that the digital goods will become available for free, which is a very cheap price. Owners will get perks like what seem to be desirable real-world products. From The Chainsmokers giving away a portion of their royalties through tokens to Coachella auctioning off lifetime passes, many successful NFT projects would have probably had the same results if they had started outside of the non-fungible token space. Still, many music-focused NFT startups, such as Our Happy Company, Fuel, anotherblock, FanTiger, Highlight, Afterparty, and the redesigned LimeWire, have raised millions of dollars this year, and Spotify seems to be taking steps to grow in the market. Snoop Dogg and other NFT fans still think that non-fungible tokens are the future of the music business. https://nftdawn.io/bose-and-warner-records-launch-merch-backed-nft-collection/?feed_id=1018&_unique_id=62cd236f27f8d

I just got off the phone with the local Bose Service Center. The person who attended to me told me that they don't offer repairs as this pair is considered a disposable product, along with their entire line of headphones and select speakers. They also won't help me with a paid replacement because my product is beyond the warranty period and the trade-in program ended last year. It's insane. I HAD TO KEEP MYSELF from crying on the phone because this device costs a great deal of money and one would think that at least they reward their customers with some kind of security but no. It's not that kind of company. It's the kind of company that spends tons on their image and marketing and with dead eyed men in business suits thinking of how to squeeze every penny from every avenue they can possibly think of. It's the kind of company that makes a disposable product only to proudly sell it for 400 dollars. I'm floored. I'm seeing it more as a subscription service at this point because beyond the 1-year warranty they offer there's nothing else. I had to ask multiple times to make it crystal clear. Anyway, I'm going to drink some juice. Juice makes everything better. It's not code for something nefarious it's literally just juice. Either OJ or Apple with Elderflower. I got it on sale. That was the original topic for yesterday. How great these juice extracts are. How they're made with Sucralose. We'll... get... to... that... at... some... other... point... in... time. For now, I'll grieve. And weep. Figuratively speaking, of course. God...

tis week 10 of my winter quarter.
the flowers are blooming, the bees are out for blood, and the students are running to libraries to prep for their exams.
ah week 10
ah the end of the quarter
ah...my crippling grades and my gpa that is on life support
and here I am:
second floor of the science library typing up a storm for my tumblr with my long dark red stiletto shaped acrylics.
here, let me step back and describe what's going on in the third person.
________________________________
a tired girl you see, burnt out...but she's trying her best to look alive, she's trying as best as she can.
you can see her walk out of her building, caballo, with washed out red hair and a harsh root line of black virgin hair on top.
red.
red is her favorite color and sometimes she makes it into her whole personality.
since her freshman year started, she grew a stronger attachment to the color red, the dark garnet red. not the vibrant almost pink red, though she does like that red.
red nails, a red hydro, a red keychain with an annoying bell that jingles with her every step, and though you cant see...red toenails and she also just so happens to have red panties on.
shes burning up....quite literally.
with the gray bose headphones that she prefers over her airpods, she decided to wear jean shorts and a burnt orange tank but covered herself with an oversized gray sweater.
the gray sweater that her friend gave her. the gray sweater that she grew an emotional attachment to. the gray sweater that reminds her of her friends back in texas.
she walks with one purpose and that purpose is to arrive to the science library without embarrassing herself.
to do so she pulled her straightest most "I don't care" face...but that face also scares people away... an rbf they call it.
she arrives to the science library and meets up with her friends sitting at the table she dreads the most.
the tall long table with the tall chairs that she cant even reach.
the moment she sits down she drops her water bottle cap,
embarrassing.
she switches her music from korean ballads to beebadobe, specifically cologne, and as she writes what she thinks she looks like from another person's point of view she is extremely confused as to how she got here.
✨and scene✨
________________________________
ok but in all seriousness, looking around and seeing so many people so productive and studious makes me feel sick to my stomach.
right after I typed that I see a girl passed out right in front of me but sleeping is STILL PRODUCTIVE
oh no my phone's broken. why doesn't my data work 🧍🏻‍♀️
like if the school wifi isn't working plz let my data work
its giving phone addict/gen z/ipad kid
but anyways
yea. sick to my stomach. because I feel like I'm not doing enough or I'm not fulfilling my tasks as a student as well as I should.
i feel like I could be a better student?
same with relationships but we wont get to that today
speaking of stomach sickness
the pain is back.
and its honestly so terrifying.
i told one person that its back but I never told him how scary it is.
i didn't say because if I said it out loud then its real, it really did come back. it also just tells me that I'm back to being weak. and you know thats one of my fears.
its painful and I don't know how to deal with it
i remember when he told me that he wishes that i could find a cure.
the moment i heard him say that i didn't know what to say and i felt thankful, thankful that he cares about me, but i felt bad too, i felt bad that he has to deal with the burden of trying to help me when he doesn't even fully understand what I'm going through.
thats the worst type of pain.
just waiting and hoping for your person to feel better.
but who knows maybe its just me stressing a lot again.
but then if thats the case ill be stressing over destressing
ah i don't even know
but anyways
see u later, sorry this post is everywhere my brain is just working too fast
love u 💌
