nba playoffs recap 5/21
ecf game 1
the boston smelltics are victorious once more. which is hilarious, because they choked in this exact same position last year. and then choked in the finals the year BEFORE that. so imma say celtics in 6, but i want everyone to take that with several grains of salt and also i want everyone to know that i nearly puked typing that out.
jayson tatum grabs 12 boards and scores 36 points and he is STILL NOT EVEN THE MVP OF THAT STUPID GREEN TEAM. jaylen brown!! go somewhere else bro!! hits a 3 pointer to tie the game and sent it to OT, where they effectively COOK indy.
one thing i want to note about indy - obviously hali is an up and coming face of the league, siakam is a former all star. but looking at box, you wouldn’t know that. any member of the indiana pacers can cook any night. they play a very even team game which makes them pretty fuckin hard to guard tbh.
you know who prolly ISN’T hard to guard bro? al whoreford at the 3 point line. you tell ME why you shot 12 threes in a ecf game when you shoot 4 on the season. and jayson tatum… lemme shit on you some more. you had the same 3pfg as your center. let that sink in. you DISGUST me.
derrick white, you’re already bald, i’ll leave you alone. just please ask tatum to use your scalp for some self reflection. jesus fucking christ. cannot believe i have to watch this stupid green team for at least four more games.

Mavericks hävisi finaalin ensimmäisen pelin, Irvingin suorituskyky oli synkkä
Viikon odotuksen jälkeen NBA:n finaalin ensimmäinen peli alkoi vihdoin. Celtics pelasi kotonaan Mavericksia vastaan. Ottelun arveltiin olevan tasainen, mutta yllättäen Boston Celtics Pelipaita pukeutunut pelaaja toi vahvan suorituksen, ja joukkueen kuusi pelaajaa teki kaksinumeroisia maalinsa. Lopulta Celtics voitti Mavericksin 107-89. Mavericksin on opittava epäonnistumisesta mahdollisimman pian, säädettävä taktiikkaa ja parannettava moraalia, jotta heillä on mahdollisuus saada takaisin voiton tunne seuraavassa pelissä. Fanit odottavat heidän osoittavan vahvempia taistelu- ja kääntökykyjä ja tuovan voittoa ja iloa faneille.

Boston Wins 18th Title over Dallas in Five Games in Strat-O-Matic Simulation
Tumblr media
In a battle between the deeper, more balanced Boston squad and top-heavy Dallas, it’s the Celtics who came out ahead in a five-game NBA Finals as Strat-O-Matic (@strat-o-matic), the market leader in sports simulation games, simulated the championships series which begins Thursday in Boston. Fans may recall that the Celtics were tabbed as the champion in Strat-O-Matic’s preseason simulation as well.
Paced by the trio of Jayson Tatum (28.4 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 5.6 apg), Jaylen Brown (26.2/7.0/3.8) and Derrick White (19.4/6.0/5.0), with support from former Mav Kristaps Porzingis (16.4/6.6/2.4) and Jrue Holiday (12.8/5.2/7.2), Boston used that depth to its advantage in taking a 2-0 series lead at home with competitive 135-127 and 128-124 victories.
After Dallas pulled to within two games to one with a 115-108 win at home, Boston took game four, 118-103, and game five back home, 123-103, by more comfortable margins, for its 18th championship.
Dallas’s Luka Dončić led all scorers in the series at 35.6 ppg, nearly averaging a triple double with 9.6 rpg and 9.0 apg, and Kyrie Irving contributed 26.8 ppg and 5.6 apg.

Ben Doran messaged on Facebook: “When I received the "music only version" of the "The Gaelic Blessing" podcast, I was immediately reminded of one of the most moving arrangements of The Irish Blessing that I have heard  -  - by Bill O'Connor and Larry Theiss on their – "Traditional And Original" recording.
I am getting ready to have a day off tomorrow and will  get to chores and baking for the "Wild Hog in the Woods" usual Friday night concert that we host at a neighborhood center here in Madison. While I am mixing and baking, I'll surely/certainly listen to that "Gaelic Blessing" program in its entirety. Thanks!”
Ryan S. emailed some photos: "Hi Marc. I love the Celtic Women episodes!!
I am currently building trails outside of austin while I listen to the cast.the spring flowers are already out!"
Shel O'Toole emailed a photo: "Hi Marc, As I'm listening today I'm promoting the International Women's Day event I organised for the Ballarat and District Irish Association. The all women trio I play with, Skedaddle is performing on the day.   I'm also looking at ways to promote my newly released poetry book Wildsong. I'll be officially launching it at the IWD lunch.
I'm loving the Celtic Women special. There's so many fabulous Irish women singers and musicians. Noirin Ni Rian, the sean - ós singer and chanter, Sandra Joyce singer and bodhran player are two amazing teachers I met at the Irish World Music Summer School  - Blas, many years ago.  Niamh Parsons & Delores Keane are firm favourites & I love discovering new  female artists.
I'll probably go to a session on St Patrick's day and there's a band playing at one of the Irish pubs in the evening I want to see. Sliánte"
