My God, this was so embarrassing!  All we were doing is vaping – not killing someone!  But Mrs. Sloane caught us and soon both our moms were there – with one thing in mind!

“You’re going home to a spanking, young lady,” I was told, “And a grounding as well!” 

“Mom!” I whined, mortified to have her say this in front of my friends.  But the worst – by far - was yet to come!

“Kayla, the same goes for you!” Mrs. Turner told her daughter – which actually relieved me a little, to have some company in this boat – even though it was sinking!  Kayla gave her a pleading look.

“Well, one of you won’t have to wait that long!” Mrs. Sloane said.  “I can get started right away!”

“Oh, no, no,” Chelsea replied, covering her bottom.  Mom, please!  Wait until…”

The moms looked at each other.  “I was about to,” Mrs. Sloane told her – and our moms.  “But it might be all the better for all to see just what I think of you endangering your health like this!”

“You caaan’t…” Chels wailed – and I knew right then it was the exact wrong thing to say!

“Maybe we should, as well?” My mom asked Mrs. Turner.

“If Clare has a hairbrush, that’d work for me,” was the reply – as all three of us clenched our bottoms.  I don’t know why I’d expect anything less, but having it spelled out just made it all the more awful.

“Of course I do,” Mrs. Sloane answered.  “This isn’t her first trip over my knee – but maybe I can make it her last!” (This may have sounded awful, but to be forever done with spankings was certainly appealing!)

“Let’s have all of the girls down to their t’s and undies,” Mom suggested – and it was done.

“That’s almost far enough for Chelsea,” her mom said, pulling her panties down over her hips.  Our moms followed suit, mine pulling mine inside-out (I had my legs crushed together).

“Over you go, young lady – let’s get this show on the road!” Mrs. Sloane told Chels.

We made a few pleas and complaints but after a few wicked swats everyone’s attention was completely focused on poor Chelsea and her reddening bottom.

I had my hands in front of me, protecting my modesty.  At some point I realized that that wasn’t all they were doing!  I had been pressing myself with every spank!  If my panties had still been up, they would have been soaked!

I shouldn’t have been so modest – once Chelsea was let up, she was made to stand, hands on her head, and watch the next spanking.

“Why don’t I go next?” Mrs. Turner suggested.  I didn’t know whether to be relieved or not.  Mrs. Turner got Kayla over her knee and started right in with a hard, fast hairbrushing just like Mrs. Sloane had – leaving me little doubt what I could expect!

Soon enough it was my turn – and my prediction was right!  My mom was apparently trying to show the other ladies what a real spanking was!  Owee - owiee – zowiee!  Meanwhile, my two best friends watched me kick and cry and listened to me beg shamelessly (Kayla had, too) while standing with panties down and their own bottoms bright red.

When Mom was done I was allowed to stand the same way before being led to the wall to ‘think about my choices’.  Chelsea and Kayla were put in the corner too, of course, and I got a glimpse of the results of their punishments.

While I was standing there, Kayla’s mom, Mrs. Turner, came up behind me, speaking quietly in my ear.  “Brianna, I saw what you did back there, you naughty girl.  You and I will be having a private little talk soon – very soon.”

“We’ve got to be going,” she then told Mrs. Sloane and my mom.  “Kayla can finish up her time at home.  Get your clothes, sweetie.”

With that she was gone, leaving me wondering…

Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird, and other sports stars are urging the National Collegiate Athletic Association to allow transgender athletes to compete under their gender identity. The NCAA last revised its policy on trans athletes in 2022. For a decade previously, it allowed trans women who’ve completed a year of testosterone suppression treatment to compete alongside cisgender women. The change in 2022 let the governing body for each sport to set standards on testosterone levels. Now, after another college athletic association barred all trans women from participating in women’s sports, the star athletes and others are calling on the NCAA to stand up for inclusion. More than over 400 current and former NCAA, professional, Olympic, and Paralympic athletes sent an open letter expressing that sentiment to the NCAA Board of Governors, which is having a virtual meeting Thursday. It’s not clear if the trans policy is on the agenda, but “the end of April and beginning of May is typically a key rules-making period for the NCAA,” The Washington Post reports. The NCAA will also hold its annual inclusion forum this week.

“To deny transgender athletes the fundamental right to be who they are, to access the sport they love, and to receive the proven mental and physical health benefits of sport goes against the very principles of the NCAA’s Constitution,” says the letter. Its more well-known signers include WNBA coach Cheryl Reeve, soccer champion Megan Rapinoe, trans male swimmer Schuyler Bailar, and WNBA players Bird, Layshia Clarendon, and Brianna Turner.

Rapinoe, an ambassador for Athlete Ally, a group that advocates for LGBTQ+ equality in sports, also issued a statement through the organization: “The time is now for the NCAA and the nationwide athletic community to speak up and affirm that sports should be for everyone, including transgender athletes,” she said. “To my fellow cis women athletes: the time is now to say loud and clear that bans against trans athletes framed as ‘protecting women’s sports’ do not speak for us and do nothing to protect us. To the trans athletes fearing that they may be sidelined from the sport they love: I see you and hear you and I am WITH YOU. “ The letter continues, “Within the context of broad legislative attacks on the rights of trans people in the United States, opposition to trans athletes is driven by certain politicians who seek to control our bodies, not by science or data. Although trans exclusionary efforts claim to ‘protect women’s sports,’ in reality, they fail to address any of the real, documented threats to women in sports, namely unequal pay, failure to uphold Title IX, rampant sexual abuse and harassment of women and girl athletes, and a lack of equal resources for men’s and women’s teams (as we saw in March Madness tournaments just three years ago).”

[...] The lawsuit in question was filed in March by several current and former college athletes, alleging that the NCAA violated their rights by allowing swimmer Lia Thomas, a trans woman, to compete against cisgender women. One of the plaintiffs is Riley Gaines, who has been particularly outspoken in her opposition to trans inclusion. Gaines and Thomas tied for fifth place in the 2022 NCAA National Championships. The letter points out that four cis women beat Thomas.

The letter from athletes was accompanied by a separate letter from Athlete Ally, 53 other LGBTQ+ advocacy, gender justice, and sports organizations and 56 PFLAG chapters nationwide, plus a letter from more than 300 scholars and academics.

Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird, and Cheryl Reeve are among the 400+ signatories to a letter via Athlete Ally urging the NCAA to stand up for trans inclusion in sports.

Me realizing I haven't actually posted any new art of my OCs in almost 2 years-

Anyway I'm entering Liz in the @smallartistocbracket ! Here's a quick masterpost:

Its the girl! Elizabeth "Liz" Turner was my first OC, made almost 13 years ago at this point? (2010 was some of the first art I did of her wow...) She's undergone lots of design changes and backstory updates/edits. Originally a Danny Phantom and Teen Titans crossover OC, Liz currently exists in a weird limbo state of me trying to figure out how she and her friends' stories can work in a totally separate universe. She and my other OCs were designed as a hero team, so im kinda just... trying my best to figure them out at this point lol.

Most of her backstory is unchanged - she and her parents were all victims of a terrible car crash. But while her parents passed on, Liz got stuck behind as a ghost. As she tries to figure out what to do with herself now, Liz discovers her electic-based powers; meets a gargoyle named Violet, two super-powered girls named Carmen and Brianna, and normal-girl-who-accidentally-got-roped-into-their-problems Laella; and becomes the emotional backbone of their little hero team. But don't let her cheery outward personality fool you - its all a cover for her PTSD from the accident and losing her parents and old life. She does such a good job she even convinces herself she's fine for a long time, but she does eventually recognize it's all a mask and seeks some professional therapy.

Liz, being a ghost, kind of... doesn't age. And cant die. And so.... she has. A bit of an existential crisis as time goes on, and her friends start passing on...

Liz is notorious for using her ghostly powers for pranks when she's younger. But invisibility, intangibility, and flight make for a great combo for spooking people - with harmless intentions of course!

But her main power is electricity, or lightning - because her ghost 'core' is electric-based, due to the environment (stormy conditions) when she died. She can generate small static shocks or devastating lightning bolts - she can act as a lightning rod, redirect or absorb electricity, make ball lightning or a lightning wall-shield - and she can even act as an AED in an emergency, after learning finer control.

(Fun fact: her hero name was originally Storm. Because in 2010 I had somehow not seen X-Men, and didn't know about Storm... currently, she has no hero name, as I haven't yet thought of a new one.)
