"YOU GOT A FRIEND IN ME"
Camilla's POV
Buying a pony for your daughter is never easy. You want a pony who can give her fun and good experiences, but you also want no harm to come to her, so you need a safe pony as well. That's how we ended up leasing Rosie!
She is a mix of Dales, Shetland Pony and British Spotted Pony, and has an unusual long neck for a Shetland mix. She is a good egg though, careful with her feet and always up for training in any capacity.
Rosie hasn't done much else than basic training, and has taken a few obstacles, but the last at least 2 years she has just been pasture buddy to her owner's nervous show gelding and the geldings buddy at shows as well, so she has seen a little bit of everything, which will be a plus, if or when Amy wants to start shows with her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amy tried her today, and warmed her up thoroughly. Yes, she was a little out of breath by the end, but she is also pretty out of shape (just look at how thick her stomach is! xD), so when in better shape she can endure more!
She even felt safe enough to cool her down after some rough canter work in trot and long reins! I think we have found the perfect pony, for our eldest, but we will be leasing her the next few months just to make sure!

Cover of magazines
Last month Donnerwetter was selected to become the cover horse of a equistrian magazine. An agent of the company visited us in person to get to know the individual horses and to find a suiting candidate for the shoot. It did not took long until she found the perfect horse for their aesthetic. To be honest I am not really surprised that she fell head over heels for the dark chestnut with orange hair - after all he is indeed stunning. We scheduled an appointment for the shooting and waited for the results. It did not took long until the first samples were exchanged and an additional interview was booked. What can I say? We made it. ✨

One of our favorite parts of owning the Centre Équestre Riddermark, formerly known as the Riddermark Equestrian Centre is watching the horses we own and breed develop in their training over the years and enjoying the progression and competitive success of our training staff.
Snow has started to fall here in France and some of our riders are preparing to go out into the cold for a nice ride. Two of those riders are our own Leanne Forbes and a new, but old addition, Cosette Durand. Cosette worked and lived with us in Ireland for a short time before returning home to France to work alongside he twin sister, Lisette, at Le Centre Equestre des Champs with the infamous Offaly Pietri.
She came to visit when she heard we had relocated and since Le Centre Equestre des Champs has closed its doors, we offered her a position with us and she accepted.
featuring Leanne Forbes with Gettysburg REC and Cosette Durand with Foxberry's Rosentau, both are KWPN stallions

♞ Welcome to Swallowtail Equestrian!♞
Swallowtail Equestrian is a family owned and operated stables located in rural Virginia. "ΣE" is owned by Greta Kemper and is managed by her son, Florian Kemper and his partner, Jericho Sharpe. We specialize in breeding top quality Arabians, Oldenburgs, and Arabian crosses. Swallowtail maintains a friendly and welcoming environment and prioritizes keeping horsemanship lighthearted but efficient.
...
The facility itself has a beautiful eight stall barn including four foaling sized stalls, an air-conditioned tack room, and wash bay. We also have a large indoor arena and an even larger outdoor arena with high quality mixed sand footing. Along with that, Swallowtail Equestrian has multiple large pastures with lush green grass and run-in sheds as well as two dry paddocks for the horses who get chunky off of air. We believe horses are happiest when most of their time is spent outside in a field just being a horse- we make sure our pasture quality reflects that.
Please enjoy your stay!

WOOPIE!
Soffía's POV (@rosakajo )
A new horse just arrived today, and I was of course here to welcome him. His name is Vopni frá Teitur, and he is 1.5 years old. He is already a tall boy, as you can see, and seems quite sensitive, which might be a good thing or a challenge when training him, depending on whom might be his trainer, when he grows a little older.
As you can see he walks very nicely on leadrope, even if there are horses in the background.
When I entered the stable for the stallions and geldings, where Vopni will be living, I could hear the loud chatter of Frederic and Froya. It was nice how lively the barn was being today. Froya was in the process of tacking up her oldest friend Hrafn, while Frederic was standing with Flóki in leadrope. The stallion was pearing curiously over his shoulder, as I walked by with Vopni.
"Is that the new one?" Frederic all but yelled through the stable, which made me shake my head at his antics and lack of manners, while Froya laughed loudly with a snort in the end.
"Yes, that's Vopni. From Rosa Kajo," I called back, though not quite as loudly.
"Woopie? His name is Woopie? Like Woopie Goldberg? What kind of Icelandic is named Woopie?" He was still talking very loudly, and his confusion really shone through.
Froya hit him on the arm with her reins, she had apparently finished putting on Hrafn's bridle, "Not Woopie, Vopni!" she laughed, rolling her eyes at him probably - I couldn't see her face as she had her back towards me.
"Oh..." his cheeks grew warm and red very quickly.

Later that day, when the rain had stopped, I had put Vopni into the stallions' pasture, so he could meet the herd. As the stallions are generally friendly, when it comes to the young ones, I just let him inside, clicked off the rope and then let him run off.
And that he did, quickly! Apparently he had gotten spooked when one of the stallions had neighed 'welcome' to him. Damn that little guy could run!
I waited inside the pasture for a little while, as the young colt seeked me out, so I could comfort him. Poor baby!

PEEEWH! WE DID IT!
Casse-Cou and I got placed 6th at the Olympics, can you believe it? Because I almost can't! It was a crazy ride (pun intended), and the boy did sooo well! I can't believe that we even got a placing, and even if it's isn't exactly top three, I don't really care. I was just proud to be a part of it!

YES, I BOUGHT CLYDESDALES. NO, I DIDN'T THINK BEFOREHAND
So apparently we now have three gentle giants in the stable. I saw them on a sketchy auction from somewhere in Great Britain, and they honestly looked miserable. Now they are no longer miserable though, because they are mine, and they live with my family in California.
I have absolutely no plans for them yet, but I will see if I can figure something out, as I know absolutely squad about driving and draft horses in general. They are cute though, aren't they? From left to right their names are Excelsior, Big Ben and Captain Nemo.
Whatever the future will bring us, they are here now and they are safe!

Temporary Turbulence: The Founder Stallion of Valentino Racehorses
The birth of Temporary Turbulence, or “Timy,” was nothing short of extraordinary. As the last foal of our mare Polly, his arrival was marked by a powerful storm that caused widespread disruption. Flights were canceled, trees fell, and roads were blocked, making it difficult to get the vet to Polly. Despite the chaos, Polly pushed through contractions, uneasy in the storm’s grip.
Our experienced team member, Benjamin, lightened the mood, saying, “Seems like the storm isn’t the only turbulence we’re experiencing.” Polly, sensing something different about this birth, kept moving restlessly. Finally, Benjamin allowed her to choose a safer spot, and Polly walked straight to a stall surrounded by trophies of past successes — a sign that she believed her foal was destined for greatness.
Minutes later, Timy, a bay colt with one white sock and a snip, was born, neighing confidently as Polly began to care for him. At that moment, we didn’t know that this foal would become the foundation of our most successful horses.
Timy has earned $103,530 from racing and steeplechase. He was later retrained to jumping and dressage to keep him mobile, sometimes he carries around Wen because Timy refuses to retire
From a turbulent start to a legendary future, Timy’s journey is one of resilience and legacy at Valentino Racehorses. (lets ignore the fact we had colored pictures in 2000s lol)
