Even at his best with a goal in mind, Phineas still has a moment of indecision and weakness—except this time, Spahr is able to break through his own crippling indecision to break the cycle and finally be there for him. They’ve come full circle

#Midst #midst spoilers #phineas thatch #jonas spahr #It’s a flaw of phineas’ that will exist no matter what and that’s okay #But Spahr has the choice to shame him for it (like he unintentionally did with the list he gave Phineas right before landing on Midst)#Or to stand there do nothing about the situation (like he did during the cabaret break in)#But he finally takes initiative to do a narrative action (for the first time)#And that first action is supporting Phineas to do the right thing in a moment where Phineas needs help!#He doesn’t need to have the flaw of indecision magically go away he just needs to be supported through it for the first time #And Spahr actively fights his own flaws to do that #Good for them. Can’t wait for their heartfelt tearful conversation as they plummet to their doom
