After your biggest self indulgent headcannon with the famed moon lesbians, I've wanted to ask you about your personal headcannons when it comes to the characterisation of both Aylin and Isobel.
In my experience in playthroughs, I feel like I got Aylin's character down pretty well. Bold to the point of recklessness, unyeildingly loyal to the ones she loves, loud and unapologetic but deeply rage full and stubborn.
But I'm pretty stumped on Isobel. I've tried getting extra dialogue from her before she's reunited with Aylin but I just feel like the one scene isn't enough.
What do you think about her character?
Oh, wow, my first ask! And about Aylin & Isobel, of all things. Genuinely delighted by this development.
(DISCLAIMER: I’ll never declare myself an expert on these characters. My reads on them are based on a healthy knowledge of writing, tropes, and speculations spinning off of personal experiences. Unless Larian has put it in the game or game related materials, it’s all headcanons. Cheers!)
I'll put a TL;DR up front (or my "thesis statement" if you want to get academic with it). Isobel and Aylin make each other "more human" primarily by being opposites in the way they express themselves. Aylin is bold, fearsome, and brash. Isobel is composed, sensible, and calculating (while “calculating,” tends to have negative connotations, I'm more leaning into it in a "she's a planner where Aylin is a do-er" way.)
I do hope you’re ready for a ramble, because I have been working on this on-and-off all day.
One of the most important things to keep in mind is Isobel was raised in a house in mourning.
The kind of epic grief Kethric would have gone through upon the loss of his wife would have forever altered the way he acted towards Isobel, beyond making sure she was raised as a Selûnite per Melodia’s wishes. The Kethric we’re presented in game is a fairly controlled man. He's unlikely to be the kind of person who would show his young daughter how deeply his sorrow wounded him; he'd keep his weeping behind closed doors. What distraught adults forget is that children understand and see way more than they're given credit for. Young Isobel would be acutely aware of her father’s pain, and the fact that he hid it. She was a child coping with her own sorrow, and would have looked to her father's example of how to deal with it: she'd learn she was allowed to care deeply, but she could not present that to others. Melodia's death also likely motivated Isobel to become a powerful cleric relatively quickly—a powerful enough cleric might have been able to heal her mother, might have spared her and her father this agony.
The Thorms, being a family of power and privilege in Reithwin, would have been treated by most of the people around them with formal manners, which would be isolating for a child. Everyone in Reithwin would frame Isobel as Kethric Thorm’s beloved daughter, a child without a mother, the devotee of Selûne. They would treat her with respect tinged with pity, never really knowing her... which would be even more isolating.
That's why Isobel is struck by Aylin so immediately (you know, aside from Aylin being a tall blonde sculpture of a woman). Every one of Aylin’s emotions are BIG and outward-facing. Most people approaching “The General” or “The General’s Daughter” would default to near ceremonial conduct. Dame Aylin wouldn’t see the need! Aylin cares strongly about justice, and defending the weak against the wicked, and everyone knows that about her in ten minutes of meeting her, tops. Aylin is passionate and sincere in that passion. Isobel would have been drawn to that, despite the fact that her upbringing still dictates composure.
You can also witness the emotion/composure contrast in the way Isobel reunites with Aylin after Kethric is finally dead. Aylin falls to her knees, picks Isobel up, spins her around. Isobel is overjoyed, but also more reserved. Her emotions are not in grand gestures but in the trembling of her voice—she’s trying to hold herself together.
(If you haven't seen it, there's a Devnote that specifically states that Isobel's delighted by Aylin's demanding people shove off and let her do unspeakable things to Isobel in private. Isobel scolds her angel for acting that way in public, but once those two are alone...)
This is where I circle back on “calculating.” Because it's not just in reuniting with Aylin that Isobel has had to hold herself together. She's been doing that for months....
Imagine yourself in Isobel's position before the start of the game. One moment you’re in your comfortable, warm home, trying to work out how to reconcile your devoted father and your angel, the two people dearest to your heart. Then you blink… and open your eyes in a cold, dusty tomb. It reeks of death. So does your father, who is telling you your beloved is no more. His lips are curling up in an ever-so-slight smile as he delivers the news. The sheer confusion and panic most people would feel in that moment would be overwhelming.
Isobel could have panicked and fled, but that tomb is filled with bones and Kethric is now the Chosen of Myrkul. Where Aylin would charge in and through, inherently trusting her own strength, Isobel would need to craft a plan. Maybe she would play on her father’s emotions until she found herself in a position to run. Maybe she prepares haste or hold person under her breath, or unleashed a well-timed "turn undead." In any case, Isobel is able to pull herself together and escape in such a way that her father cannot follow. She finds a familiar place and sets up a bastion of protection there. Rather than fleeing the Shadowlands altogether, which is what most people would have done, Isobel starts gathering information. She needs to know what happened to her, her family, and her lover. She needs to know why there’s Sharran magic literally everywhere. She is alone, trying to piece together a confusing story she was part of, and somehow the driving force of after she was killed.
Harpers arrive to deal with the threat of Kethric Thorm like they did a century before. Jaheira would have been a legend even when Isobel was a child, but Isobel makes the very conscious choice not to tell Jaheira her true identity. She doubles down on that when Tav and their companions come through... unless they have proof of who she is beforehand. (In this way Shadowheart and Isobel are hilariously in contrast: the Selûnite is a much better secret-keeper than the Sharran.) So I think that all covers "composed, sensible, and calculating" with regards to Isobel, but when writing from her PoV I think you would have a very rich inner dialogue in line with the ideals Aylin outwardly expresses: Isobel wants to comfort and protect the weak, she's loyal to the ones she loves, and feels strongly and deeply. Once she and Aylin are together again, Isobel's presentation shifts. Where Isobel is a grounding force for Aylin (thinking about how Isobel would have had to explain to Aylin why she was upset Aylin went on a month long walk without warning), Aylin pulls Isobel out of that carefully crafted shell of hers (thus my statement re: making each other "more human.") I haven't yet written any (complete) fan fiction for these two but this fic on A03 (fair waring: it's smutty!) really altered my thoughts as to what Aylin and Isobel could have been like prior to Isobel's untimely death. While I love to joke about Aylin ALWAYS TALKING IN ALL CAPS, there's something to be said for writing her along the lines of a courtly knight-errant. Aylin worships Isobel in a way people worship Selune; she's Isobel's most fervent devotee. Isobel is swept away by love at first sight, but still needs to navigate her father's delicate emotions and her own responsibilities. I firmly believe anyone writing anything in the timeframe of the game or beyond it needs to consider their past, even if they have no plans of writing anything of the sort.
I could probably go on for another um... 13 or so paragraphs (😅) but it's proooobably better if I wrap this up. I hope this gives you some things to think about, and helps a bit with whatever you're working on!

I know its my fault for checking that cesspit but help the subreddit for the series is on a high horse about BeeTress not being canon, someone made an innocent mistake on a post and all the comments are OUTRAGED just in disbelief anyone ever thought it even saying they have no idea why anyone would think so, and ofc purity spiralling about how if you ship them you're like endorsing abuse something 😭 like it's not my fault Suzanne decided to retcon their entire dynamic and Beete having a wholeass family that was never even hinted at before! Or that the movie strongly implied a romantic bond and cast two actors with crazy chemistry given their like 2 minutes of screentime together 😭
endorsing abuse is insane what 😭 tell me you’re grasping at straws without telling me you’re grasping at straws. what is the logic behind this even. i understand being iffy about the age difference but abuse??? is questionable and outrageous frankly. also yes if suzanne didn’t want us to ship them maybe she shouldn’t have written them like That. i mean come on. in catching fire they were practically a married couple. and the movie??? jeffrey and amanda KNEW what they were doing.

✨ Increasingly unhinged (but harmless) ways to answer "whats wrong with you?" ✨
Nothing! *walk/roll away cheerfully*
Whats wrong with you?
Oh! This is just for fun.
... you can see it too?
My mom stepped on a sidewalk crack. Turns out the rhyme goes both ways.
Got into a fight with my fridge and lost.
I didn't build that Lego set someone got me for my birthday.
I didn't eat my veggies as a kid.
*dead stare* Clowns.
Voodoo doll.

Do you have any estimation about how many pcs are available on the spot for CF per design?

Here's a list of my goods 👁️👄👁️
(btw the Nikolai keychain is 18 pieces because the acrylic maker didn't want to waste the remaining acrylic board so they added 3 more Nikolai's 😂)
I'm testing the waters here, but I think this is quite small in numbers(?) But then again, "a few" and "a lot" is different among all the participants.
Considering this is my first time, I wanted to make just a little but considering that I will be on the rarer side of the fandom lists it might be quiet popular?
Again, I'm still so so so confused by everything so bear with me!
For now it's the early bird gets the worm 😭🙏

i would love to hear if any readers had theorized guessed events in books 1 - 4? part of the fun with ongoing works is theorizing!
Oh, yeah. Several people guessed that Mad-Eye was real well before it was "revealed," though I guess that's not technically an "event" so much as a canon divergence that becomes evident later. Several people called Draco becoming a duelist as early as Book 3. People will also often pull out little lines or flourishes of description and speculate on what it means for the character's future development, especially Draco's nascent flirtation with Dark magic, often with successful results. Readers also tend to be good at predicting where character dynamics are going. It's so satisfying for an author to read! It feels like a little gold star for planting a seed successfully.
People have guessed stuff that happens in future books, too, but I come from the old school of "if people can grasp and interpret where your story is going that means you are successfully laying groundwork and they are excited to think about it more, good job," There is a different school of thought, which is "readers have predicted something cool might happen, so I must take away Cool Thing, denying readers who predicted it the vindication of being right (which they wanted) and denying readers who didn't a coherent story to begin with (which they wanted). I am very smart."

For the bad things happen bingo: Jack + bridal carry?
oh well hey there stranger. it was very much my instinct to have jack be carried but im actually so strong and didn't (quite) cave. also i made this a treat for u
available bingo squares here, ao3 series here! there r also some details in my ao3 tags/notes that make a few things about jack more objective.
Jack doesn’t like his new job, but he’s used to being good at things–adapting to things, maybe–that he doesn’t quite enjoy.
Selling papers hadn’t been his life’s goal or anything, but he needed people to look out for him and a roof so he got damn good at it all. Same goes for these ridiculous cartoons for Pulitzer: Jack keeps his head down, his trap shut, and his pencil busy. By now he’s learned that making a bunch of very similar drafts is the way to go, so the old men upstairs can mull and hum and mutter about which reads the best when they all read the damn same.
What is great about this newer gig is Katherine. Without it he’s not sure he’d see nearly as much of her as he’d like, and there’s so many doors to nothing and cramped little hiding places for them to giggle and tease and kiss in when they take a break from work. And since Jack isn’t technically granted any breaks, all Katherine needs to do is talk down to his boss with a cold glare and the whole matter is solved. And more importantly, they can go back to locking lips. The best days are when Davey comes by before the evening edition comes out after school, and the three of them share a cigarette. Katherine’s started to look at Davey the way Jack knows he has been for a while now, and he’s not sure what it means, but it makes butterflies reawaken in his stomach again.
What’s not great about the gig is observing Katherine’s work life.
Since the strike, she’s not needing to type up just one article anymore- by now it’s three, and when the Sun’s offices close for the day she ventures over to the World because she has a key and uses the typewriters there. Her father never stops her. And Jack sees her, because, you know, his rules for himself could also be stricter, but he’s used to that schedule. Up at dawn and asleep after he collapses has been his life, never hers. Jack watches her try to adjust- she’s always shooting him an upbeat smile, usually excited to be writing–and writing and writing and writing–when it’s something that interests her, but Jack doesn’t think he’ll get used to seeing circles under her amber eyes anytime soon.
It’s November now, late in it, the time of year where there’s already a dent in supplies at the lodge that makes Jack sweat since it’s harder to steal in the winter. Jack’s at his drawing desk early this morning, wanting to have some time between when he gets out and the evening edition to try and hit up a few shops for medicines they’re running low on. Blink’s got a nasty cough right now, and the boy’s trying to puff out his chest about it, but Jack knows the truth.
He heads up the stairs for a quick smoke break after a few hours, and catches Katherine coming in the front door from the cold in a hurry.
“Hey,” he says, greeting her just inside the main door. “You’re here early, what’s the deal at the-”
Jack observes her, and Katherine must read his mind. She sighs, shaking her head.
“Jack, I’m okay. Rough morning,” she excuses. There’s no way a rough morning can excuse the redness surrounding her nose, the bags underneath her eyes so obvious they nearly look purple, which pops against how pale her skin looks. “And it’s cold out, too, so-”
“You catch Blink’s cold?” he asks. A middle ground, since whatever is going on with her looks worse than a cough.
“Maybe,” Katherine agrees, which means she’s got to be feeling worse than a cold. “I’ll take it easier today if it makes you feel better.”
“It’ll make you feel better.”
Jack glances down, feeling her fingers against his own. Katherine threads her hand into his, before lifting up, dawn-pink lips pressing a small, cold kiss to his dark knuckles.
“Go draw, Mr. Kelly,” she says to him, taking her hand away. “I’ll see you at three.”
Three is too long, and Jack can feel the time ticking by in the back of his mind, each hour making his palms itch worse. It’s not easy for him to get up and away–and especially into other parts of the huge building–without Katherine, so if she doesn’t make sure to come down and visit him he can’t really go up and see her.
He practically rockets into motion the moment the clock strikes three, shuffling his drafts into his portfolio and shoving it into his desk, tugging his coat on, hiking his bag over his shoulder, then stands-
-up too fast. He wobbles, gripping the back of his chair and blinking his sudden spinning vision straight. Jack takes a breath, and finally exits the room, glaring at his boots. He hates whenever Mush’s hypothesis is proven a little right- Jack’s got something weird with his blood, wrong with the iron in his body. It gets him jumpy in the winter, gets him worried about everyone and the cold.
Glancing around the hall, he sneaks up the stairs to where Katherine prefers to work- Bryan Denton’s office, who’s been out on assignments after shifting from the Sun for two months now and taught Kath a lot of what she knows. Jack knocks, before pushing open the door.
“Oh, Kathy,” he sighs, smiling slightly. Her head’s tucked on the typewriter’s keys as if it were a pillow, arms rested under her chin as her chest rises and falls evenly. Jack’s sort of glad she fell asleep- doing all this work for hours on end in her condition hadn’t been Katherine’s best idea.
Jack crosses over to her, drawing a hand through her hair. He pauses.
The ends of her wavy fringe his sweaty, he notices. Jack swipes his hand over her forehead.
Hot- burning hot. And her hands are cold when one of his own closes around them.
“Kath. Katherine,” Jack says, and says again. He shakes her shoulder gently. “Katherine, come on. Wake up, sweetheart.”
Slowly, her eyes flutter open with a small moan. Katherine’s eyebrows scrunch, confused- probably wondering why the first thing she’s seeing is an ‘f’ key.
“Did I…? Jack?” she mumbles, lifting her head. Her face turns to his, and she pouts, blinking sluggishly. “Oh, I didn’t go down to you, did I. I’m sorry.”
“That’s alright,” he reassures, two hands on her shoulders now. “Day’s over, yeah? Lemme get you- I’m gonna take you to the lodge for now. So you can rest some more.”
She shakes her head, expression pinched.
“Not necessary,” she insists, carefully standing up. “Everyone falls asleep at their desk, right? Right. One time- one…”
She sways suddenly, but catches herself just as Jack’s muscles go taut.
“One time.. thing,” she manages. She takes a step, and her dull eyes flutter, and Jack’s taut muscles send him surging forward as she falls sideways, only six inches or so from the side of her head slamming into the wall. Jack catches her, thank god, her form crashing heavily into his outreached arms. He hefts her up shakily, her temple finding his shoulder to rest on while his arms curl around her back and under her knees.
“Kath?” he tries. “Katherine. Katherine.”
She doesn’t wake, expression lax save for the strained twitch of her brow.
“Fuck,” he hisses, because he’s alone, with his unconscious partner, in an office that isn’t his and in a building that doesn’t like letting him inside. And Kath’s not waking up. Jack’s heart starts to pound louder, it feels like- sounds like.
Stairs. Stairs. He needs the stairs.
Jack rushes to them, doing his best not to jostle Kath as he starts downward. He needs to mind his footsteps- Katherine is practically his height, and her dress could easily cause both of them to go sprawling.
He makes it down, trying not to breathe too hard, and shoves with his back out the front door.
“Jack? -Kath?”
Jack’s head swings to the right, and Davey’s there.
“What happened?” the boy rushes out, striding over to Jack. “I was waiting for you two, they wouldn’t let me- is she alright? What-”
Jack lets Davey touch her forehead, watches him recoil and his eyebrows shoot up, before he traces her cheek gently.
“She’s sick. Came in and worked a whole day anyway,” Jack mutters. The November breeze makes Katherine shiver suddenly, but she still doesn’t wake, only looks more pained. Jack bites his lip.
“Hold her for a moment?” he asks Davey.
“What?” Davey splutters, eyes going huge. “Jack I can’t- I dunno if-”
Jack sets her in the taller boy’s arms anyway, and quickly sheds his coat. “Knew you were strong enough, Dee.”
“Whatever,” Davey mutters, narrowing his eyes at Jack, who sets his coat over Katherine. “Jack, you need that.”
“I ain’t sick,” he says, and carefully takes her back into his grasp.
“You’ll get sick. Or, you’ll-”
Jack starts walking. He’s fine. His nose is already chilled to the bone, but he’ll manage. He hears Davey quickly keep up, and they walk in strained silence for a while.
“You know, it’s my textbook on anatomy I had Mush borrow,” Davey murmurs. “And I read a good amount of it.”
“Good for you,” Jack mutters, though his body tenses up more than it already is as another gust of wind blows through.
“It ain’t good for you to be out and cold like this,” Davey continues, and Jack keeps his gaze pointedly forward. “You’re already losing color and it’s only been ten minutes-”
“Dave,” Jack interjects, gazing down at Katherine. His coat’s helped, maybe, but she still shivers and burns and shakes in his arms and he wishes he could somehow grip her even closer. “I’m worried about her, alright? Lemme- just lemme hold her.”
Davey goes quiet for a moment. Before too long, Jack feels the boy’s arm come around his waist, rubbing his back, warming him.
“Okay,” Davey says softly. “Okay, Jack.”
They make it to the lodge, and the front door of it is all Jack can focus on. He lets Davey open it, and he heads in with her, going up the stairs, away from the colder first floor. He sets her in Racer’s lower bunk, since that’s always a safe bet. Pulls the covers up.
Now what.
There’re other things he should do, he knows that, but his brain can’t seem to connect the dots, the red string of his thought process being held limply with no direction.
The hand on his back returns, and his name’s being said.
“-ck, you should get some rest too,” Davey’s saying. “You listening?”
“Always,” is Jack’s smart reply. “Yeah, I- well, I gotta run down to Mush first if he’s around, let ‘im know what’s going on.”
“Well, I can do that,” Davey brushes off. Then, he takes Jack’s hands, finding his wrists and cupping his palms around them. “You need to warm up, and rest, Jack, you just carried Katherine for a mile.”
“Yeah but I-” Jack shakes his head slightly. His shoulders hike as he fights a sudden shiver, slipping out of Davey’s hands as the red string finally lands around a thought. “I gotta grab some extra blankets, too.”
“Jack-”
He stands up, gripping the bottom of the top bunk to steady himself, blinking a few times. Fine. He’s fine. He’s going- he was going to get… something.
The red string suddenly slips away, and his head aches, his chest clenches, and he’s really, really cold. His vision flits between darkness and wood bunks as his eyelids flutter. Stronger arms than he thought he knew slip under his own right as he feels he’s about to sink, though, and his face lands against a warm chest. He yawns, lightheaded, brain feeling separate from the rest of his body.
“Breathe,” Davey’s saying, urgently. “Jack. Jackie, can you hear me? Just breathe, in slowly, out slowly.”
Jack’s trying to focus, but he’s not totally sure why he can’t, and his knees want to buckle. Davey’s strong, holding him up like this. Jack doesn’t feel like he’s holding anything.
He feels his eyes close, which makes the breathing easier but the focusing harder. Davey’s holding him close, safe. He’s tracing the side of Jack’s head soothingly with a finger in the space between his braids, and Jack lets himself yawn again, though this time his brain feels less like it’s suffocating than it did a minute ago.
“You gonna let me find Mush?” Davey says softly, but Jack can picture the ‘I was right’ smirk that’s probably residing on the boy’s pink lips. Jack simply nods into his chest. He lets Davey sit him on the bunk, still leaned into the other until he feels Davey shift him- trying to lay him down. Jack thinks he falls asleep before the boy even can- he remembers Davey’s chest as his resting spot, not the pillow beside Katherine.
He wakes groggily a couple hours later, his suspenders and dress shirt missing. His shoes are off, too, and there’s wavy, auburn hair tickling his nose and someone’s back he’s tucked into. Just barely, he raises his head, opening his eyes just enough.
Katherine’s awake, thank god, attire loosened. Jack’s arm is rested over her hip, but she’s petting someone’s hair, looking down at someone the way she looks at Jack. His head raises higher.
Davey’s fast asleep sitting half on the floor, face pillowed by his arm on the bunk mattress and hair being delicately combed through by Katherine’s fingers. Suddenly she pauses, and glances behind her. Jack meets her gaze, and she looks exhausted, but she gives him a tired smile. Jack tries to return it despite the fog going through his brain.
“Go back to sleep, Jackie,” she whispers, so gently it nearly convinces his eyes to shut then and there. “You’re off duty, alright?”
“How long’s he been asleep?” he asks her anyway. He leans over her a little, arm slipping away from her waist to find Davey’s cheek to caress.
“Maybe an hour,” she provides. “Adorable, hm?”
Jack hums his agreement, but feels his head bob downward, despite his desire to ask Katherine how she feels. Jack wraps himself closer around her middle, nuzzling his face between her shoulder blades. The hand that isn’t resting against Davey’s cheek finds Jack’s hand over her stomach, their fingers threading together. All three connected, like one snaking string. He smiles to himself.
“Sleep, Jack,” Kath says again over her shoulder. He listens.

5, 11, 16 for the ask game pretty please <3
OK, this time my excuse is that I was very, very sick for the past few days. Hopefully the next potential ask I will be faster with.
5. Describe their idle animations!
I do love this question so thanks in particular for asking it. 💕
Kory tends to/prunes the vines on her tent (see this post for the tent description). In the daytime she’ll appear to take leaves off and put them near her mortar and pestle. At night she’ll take off a flower and do the same.
Related to that, she has an animation where she is sprinkling things into the mortar and pestle, then turns around and uses it for a while, before putting it back.
She’ll sit at her table and scratch out some notes on a piece of paper-but she uses a claw instead of her quill, and then dunks it into a dish of water to clean it off.
Much like Jaheira has an animation where she talks to rats, Kory has an in-depth conversation with a crow that comes to perch on the top of her tent.
If the owlbear cub is recruited, Kory has an animation where she turns into an owlbear and does a loop around the camp with him and Scratch.
Epilogue Animations
(Thanks to @optiwashere's lovely response to my ask for the idea… this post wouldn’t have been a classic ramble without it!)
Based on the previous ask I answered if Kory winds up with her “bad ending” there will be a moment where Tav hears a rustling in the woods, and sees a green-eyed wolf. It growls at them—if Tav passes an animal handling check, the wolf looks at them with sad eyes and runs off. If they fail, the wolf snarls and snaps at them and runs off. That’s all you’ll see of her if she ends up with that bad end.
In any good ending, Kory will do the following:
Kory will have a little “druid huddle” with Jaheria and Halsin, discussing their preferred forms (Kory emphasizing Owlbear and Air Myrmidon).
Kory checks in with Halsin on how the Shadowlands is recovering.
Kory speaks to Withers about Arabella—he assures her that “the girl will be fine” and Kory is a little miffed when he won’t speak about it further.
Kory turns into a Cat to apparently discuses something eye-to-eye with Tara.
Kory turns into an owlbear and romps around the party with the no-longer-cub.
Kory gives big pets to Scratch.
Depending on what Kory winds up doing/who she might have hooked up with post-game (details in this post!) she has some additional stuff.
In any “Kory winds up in Avernus” ending:
Kory has chat with Gale about how the spell “plane shift” works, since she might need it to get them home soon.
Kory expresses delight over whomever is taking the Owlbear home, and laments that she wishes she could have been an option.
If just Kory and Karlach wind up in Avernus together their animations include:
Kory bemoaning that her outfit “looks ridiculous for this event.” Karlach: “I could always help you take it off, Soldier.” Kory: “Later! I wouldn’t mind a private swim before we have to go back.” Karlach: “Sounds like a plan.”
Karlach and Kory do a goofy little dance together.
Karlach and Kory have a little strategy session about getting those plans for her heart fix.
If Kory/Karlach/Wyll all wound up in Avernus:
Kory bemoans the outfits to Wyll. “Karlach’s looks good, ours are ridiculous!” Wyll: “I’d suggest you take something from the trunk but if we have to go back suddenly you’ll want the armor, not a dress shirt.” Kory: “Ugh, I know.”
The trio have a strategy huddle about getting the plans for Karlach’s heart and possibly getting rid of Mizora for good.
If Kory ends up on the Farm with Shadowheart:
If they adopt the Owlbear Kory is absolutly overjoyed and the two of them have an excited conversation about his dietary needs.
Kory has a conversation with Halsin and says “…she brought him home and named him Bubbles!” Halsin: “Oh ho, that’s sure to amuse the Oak Father.”
Kory has a brief conversation with Volo: Kory: “Shadowheart and I decided it would be easier to run a farm together so that’s what we did.” Volo: “And thus… they were… roommates.” Kory (tail thrashing) : “Why are you saying it that way?”
If Kory is a in charge of the garden in Baldur’s Gate:
She has a brief conversation where she slightly guilt trips Jaheira about how Kory sees Jaheira’s children more than she does.
She and Wyll have a positive conversation about the reconstruction of Baldur’s Gate.
Kory will encourage Astarion to come visit the gardens “We have night blooming flowers now; the Society of Brilliance helped me procure some from the underdark that would grow up here!”
11. What is your Tav’s go-to comfort food? Honestly, Kory spent so much time in the woods it’s a lot of basically nuts, berries, basic tree fruits, and leafy greens… and then Elminster shows up demanding cheese. Good cheese is revolutionary for Kory.
Have you ever had an apple/walnut/arugula salad without cheese? Then you add blue cheese or gouda or feta and suddenly it’s a whole different ballgame. Bam! Suddenly Kory’s got a whole new outlook on food. She tries a lot of new things on this journey, but that apple/cheese/walnut/arugula salad is her favorite.
Gale finds Kory jumping on the cheese train a little exasperating, honestly.
16. What do they do for fun, when not adventuring? What are their hobbies? Gardening! Kory adores cultivating herbs and flowers especially. Once she finds out “flower arrangement” is a thing (she’s never encountered that concept until Baldur’s Gate) she’ll try her hand at that, and eventually seasonal wreaths.
You know, once her girlfriend’s heart is fixed.
Thank you again for the asks, Bear!
If anyone else wants to ask something, the list is here!

Okay, but, I think it's so funny how genuinely unhinged Dimitri seems when you play CF first going in blind-
Because like. This isn't the raging boar who's utterly lost in madness, he's barely any different to the end of academy phase (which, I got by accident before resetting to CF)
But the stuff he's saying?? With just the context you get on Crimson Flower??? Is absolutely bat's hit unhinged????
And like. I don't mean the violence or anything, I mean that the only slight thing you'll have gotten alluding to the whole mess of their backstories is Edelgard's Goddess Tower scene, which is so extremely vague that I don't think she even mentions his name was Dee, and I think he has like one explore dialogue alluding to something? And that's it. And that's all Edelgard knows either.
Like, I get people's point when they complain about the King of Delusion moniker for CF, but can you blame her? Yeah he's right that her mother died I'm the tragedy of Duscar and that she was connected to it happening, but like. She doesn't even know whomst the fuck Patricia is-

it's definitely on the way. i have learned from my mistake to not put my drafts on tumblr cause then the fuck ass queue posts them. 🧍‍♀️ i'd probably be finished with like at least 2 weird science chapters and more if i genuinely did not have a horrid cfs flare up this month. i was dead ass working on a little something to feed the people but i def owe yall an explanation.
in short. trust. i'm trying but in like 15 minutes i will feed you with something else to hold you over until i deliver.

Fun fact about me playing Not For Broadcast: I have been constantly playing with a small voice in the back of my head trying to work out why Jeremy’s voice sounds so much like my own. I’m sitting there being like: Did we grow up in the same area? Do we share a speech pattern? Is it just a similar energy or tone??? I am literally deaf, how did I notice this and why can’t I notice it further so I know what it is!??
Anyway, the CF trust have a bunch of articles about people with CF who are in work. So naturally I was reading through the creative adjacent ones so I can compare myself unfavourably to them support the careers of my fellow CFers. And wait a second isn’t that…
Anyway it turns out that’s absolutely what it was, and apparently my profoundly deaf ears can ID someone as having the same respiratory condition as me by voice alone. (Also I know how much you love this game and I thought you might find it interesting because of that.)
Oh wow, that's amazing, how cool! I had no idea, but I love that your shared experience made you able to tell. Paul does a hell of an incredible job in NFB, what an absolute icon.
Thank you so much for sharing!
