This article describes the exact patient population that I see on a daily basis. We, as nurses, explore these risk factors and consider them as we discuss the plan of care with our multidisciplinary team. Using these newly discovered systems of artificial intelligence would be hugely beneficial to both patients and the healthcare team. When used properly, these systems both save lives and time; which is obviously a win-win for everyone. I am so excited to see how this technology develops!

Welcome to my curation!
It actually does not matter whether you read from the top down or the bottom up. I did include a few memes to break up the monotony though. I picked these memes in particular because I feel that they do say something about this topic- in that social media has become such a big part of our culture, memes can speak what is unspoken.
I hope you enjoy this collection, as I enjoyed collecting!

Social Media can help your relationship!
http://mashable.com/2012/07/09/new-social-media-love-rules/#OGj2h7FRIgqE
Reflection:
All my posts up to this point have been displaying the negative impact of social media on relationships. I decided to branch my research onto the positive side. I found this article on Mashable by Joann Pan that summarizes that social media [internet] builds and sustains romantic relationships. Pan provides two separate guides for new couples and long-term couples on how to use social media to help build your relationship.

Earlier this year, a video called #HurtBae went viral. The Scene conducted a sit down between the two where they confront each other on the males infidelity. Social Media caused them to go viral, but beforehand, he felt like she didn’t trust him. She would go through his phone. Looking at texts and social media. She would find things that showed him being unfaithful. So he continued to do what he did because he was able to. Social Media gave us a platform and allowed us to see how relationships are impacted by social media and cheating.

Social media isn’t going to wreck your relationship!
Reflection:
Since I’ve been on the topic of keeping social media out of your relationships. I found an article in Women’s Health that speaks on the dangers of social media in your relationships. Casey Gueren, the author, reported that according a new study by the Journal of Cyberpsychology, Behavior and Social Networking “People who use Facebook more than once a day are more likely to report relationship conflicts arising from social media” and “... even worse—those conflicts had a significant correlation with negative relationship outcomes, like cheating, breaking up, or getting divorced”. To help stop the statics from growing Gueren has created 5 rules to help balance out social media in your romantic relationship.

How to keep social media from recking your relationship!
Reflection:
Jealousy can drive any relationship into ruins, but now that social media is here and growing the issue of jealousy isn’t disappearing. Anything can be viewed as flirting online, and these little things can leave you or your partner bothered.
After reading this article by Dr. Marlynn Wei (M.D.) I’ve learned 6 ways that social media has been ruining relationships and how to battle each of these issues. Talking out with your partner their usage online, what does and doesn’t bother you, creates space for a healthy relationship. Remember, communication is always key!

This column lists the occupations most likely to be replaced by artificial intelligence in the future, which includes doctors. The occupations least likely to be replaced by artificial intelligence, as stated by this column, included mental health professionals. It is interesting to me that both of these professions ended up on both of this article’s lists. I think this speaks to how artificial intelligence can be both helpful and harmful in the medical field.

In this article, an alarming statistic is proposed. Google has developed artificial intelligence that is able to read pathology slides with greater accuracy than a human pathologist with no time constraint. While we are certainly still far from computers replacing humans in the medical field, I certainly think we are closer to incorporating computers more into daily tasks.

Such an amazing article! This information really speaks to me because I am an ICU nurse. Collecting information on artificial intelligence in the healthcare field has been exciting for me, especially because I work in the field. I am very interested to see how this technology develops and how it will be integrated into our world.

This is a quick article, but brings about some serious concerns surrounding artificial intelligence in healthcare. I had thought about these issues during my research for this curation project. As a nurse, we are taught to carefully ensure our documentation is thorough, yet concise, and completely accurate for legal and ethical reasons. How would artificial intelligence fit into this delicate system without breaking the rules?
