I like to imagine everytime Conquest doesn't behave (tries to kill someone/too rough with the grayson boys' training/etc) his s/o looks at him sternly and will threaten him that he will not get smooches for a week, and it keeps him in check, because what do you mean his mate won't give him smooches?? 🥺🥺🥺 For a whole week???? How will he survive????? 💔💔💔💔💔💔

Oh, he does.

You usually try to be understanding about how he is– and you are! You're probably more understanding than most others would be in your situation. But you still have your limits.

And those limits include Oliver ending up with half his teeth missing and a black eye. If Debbie's horrified gasp or Mark's annoyed yet exasperated glare wasn't enough, then your hard stare made sure Conquest knew he'd gone too far.

"C'mon, darlin', the insect was asking for it!" He tries to defend on the way home, flying with you in his arms, your own crossed as you stare ahead, ignoring him. "Literally! He whines worse than a baby when I hold back on him– even Mark gave me the go ahead!"

Though he obviously regretted allowing it when Conquest did so much damage. You wouldn't be surprised if Mark put his foot down from now on.

As you landed at your home, Conquest's large hands settled on your hips, a soft, "Pumpkin..." Leaving his lips as you remain cross. Finally, you sigh.

"Fine, I'm forgiving you just this once, but next time, don't beat the kid black and blue, that's what Mark's for." You say, finally looking at him.

Beaming, Conquest leans in for a kiss, only to blink in surprise as you walk away.

"Uh, darlin'?"

You shot him a grin. "Oh, and no kisses for a day." You say, watching his jaw drop in disbelief.

Conquest stares after you in horror, realising the error of his ways. For the first time in over 3000 years, Conquest had been punished, and he finds he doesn't like it. Not one bit. Pouting (not that he'd ever admit to doing so), he follows you inside, thinking about all the kisses he'll miss out on. No pre-dinner kisses, no forehead kisses, no goodnight kisses...

At least it helps him learn his lesson, as Oliver doesn't end up that damaged again until he's much older and can actually take it.

My genuine reaction to Conquest's Monologue tbh.

But no seriously, think about it, the Viltrumites are the exaggerated evolution of a hyper-competitive, hyper-violent, hyper-individualist society. Low key, I think that's why Kirkman made every male Viltrumite looks like someone's Dad or Uncle. It's almost like, a very blatant representation of what even a normal guy is forced to become under such an extreme system.

Additionally, the mustache, especially the short ones that most Viltrumites wear exude a sense of that old-school patriarchal look.

donald being conquest's emotional support dog and stim toy is so djdjsjdjfjfjgk I think he treats donald like a cute pet/friend, he's locked in mutual homoerotic hatred with cecil, and he either wants to snap sinclair like a glowstick so so bad or he inexplicably finds sinclair kinda creepy. like when you see a video of a bear running away from a cat cause it's little but aggressive
