every once in a while ill be thinking abt simon & betty and how much i love them and then suddenly i remember the f&c finale and get annoyed. like it dosent exist in my brain at all and then suddenly im like. WAIT. they really did that huh. anyway it reached an ultimate level when this morning i woke up thinking abt adventure time immediately (presumably i had a dream abt it?) and legitimately thought to myself "wait? how'd fionna and cake end? what where the last two episodes?" and for maybe a minute at most i had the inner peace of someone who was oblivious to adventure time butchering simon and bettys characters last minute. i miss it so much.

you can say that casper & nova aren’t meant to Perfectly parallel simon & betty’s relationship and behavior, and maybe that was what the writers intended - that this is a Vaguely Similar dynamic, not the Exact Same one. but in the absence of seeing any truly comparable interactions with simon & betty, or any interactions from when they were actually in a relationship, the casper & nova scenes are basically all we have to go off of for what the episodes are trying to tell us about simon & betty’s relationship, and kind of have to be taken as “accurate to them” whether the writers intended it or not.

যৌনতা আর ভালোবাসা কি এক? এই প্রশ্নটা আমার মনে প্রায়‌ই উঁকি দেয়। আজকাল ভালোবাসা যেন সহজলভ্য, যেন যৌনতাতেই সীমাবদ্ধ হয়ে গেছে এটা। যদিও সহজে এটা কেউ মানতে চাইবে না। কিন্তু যারা রবীন্দ্রনাথ পড়েছে,যারা শরৎচন্দ্র পড়েছে তারা জানে ভালোবাসা কি গভীর মনস্তাত্ত্বিক একটা অনুভুতি,না পাবার আকাঙ্ক্ষার তীব্রতা ঠিক কতখানি, একতরফা ভালোবাসার কি অদ্ভুত সৌন্দর্য। হুমায়ূন যারা পড়েছে তারাও জানে,শরীর কাছে পেয়েও মন ছুঁতে না পারার কষ্ট কিরকম, বাবা মায়ের কড়া শাসনে থাকা মেয়েটাও যদি কোনদিন তার প্রেমিককে বিয়ে করতে পারে সে ভালোবাসায় কি প্রচন্ড রকম আত্নহারা হতে পারে! আজকাল আমাদের পছন্দ রগরগে যৌন বর্ণনায় ভরা উপন্যাস,সিনেমা,সিরিজ। কাউকে দেখলাম,ভালো লাগলো, ডেট করলাম টাইপ। প্রথমে শরীরকে জেনে তারপর মনকে জানার গল্প‌ই এখন আমাদের প্রিয়। বাট মনকে কি আমরা আসলেই জানতে পারছি? মন বোঝা কি এত‌ই সহজ!!

বলিউড একটা সিনেমা আছে 'Bajirao Mastani'.... ভালোবাসা যে কত তীব্র হতে পারে, শুধুমাত্র একবার চোখের দেখাতেই তা কত প্রতিবাদী হয়ে উঠতে পারে,তার জন্য কত অপমান যে সহ্য করা যায়! ভালোবাসাই পৃথিবীর একমাত্র জিনিস যা হেরে গেলেও জিতে যায়।

একটা সিনেমা আছে 'Raanjhanaa'..... একতরফা ভালোবাসার যে কি প্রচন্ড জোর! বোকাসোকা একটা মানুষকে দিয়েও সেই ভালোবাসা বিরাট কিছু করিয়ে ফেলতে সক্ষম, ভালোবাসা মৃতকেও জাগাতে পারে। কিন্তু তারজন্য এমন তীব্র ভালোবাসা অপরজনের থাকা লাগবে।

একটা হলিউড মুভি আছে 'La La Land' যেটা দেখলেই নজরুলের একটা কথা আমার মনে পড়ে, "তোমারে যে চাহিয়াছে ভুলে একদিন,সে জানে তোমারে ভোলা কতটা কঠিন।"

ভালোবাসা কি সেটা জিজ্ঞেস করেন‌ শেষের কবিতার লাবণ্যকে,কেন সে অমিতকে ছেড়ে অন্য আরেকজনকে বিয়ে করলো শুধুমাত্র ভালোবাসা বাঁচিয়ে রাখার জন্য? ভালবাসা জানতে হলে যেতে হবে সমরেশের কালবেলার মাধবীলতার কাছে, কিসের শক্তিতে সে একটা মানুষকে এভাবে একতরফা এত কষ্ট সয়ে বুকে পুষে সহ্য করলো সমাজের অদৃশ্য সব চাবুকের আঘাত! ভালোবাসা জানতে হলে বিভূতিভূষনের অপু-অপর্ণা জুটিকে দুচোখ ভরে দেখতে হবে, কিভাবে অতবড় বাড়ির একটা মেয়ে পরম আদরে অপুর ভাঙ্গাচোরা ছোট্ট মাটির ঘরে গোবর লেপে দিতে পেরেছিলো, মাসের পর মাস তাকে না দেখে একটা চিঠির অপেক্ষায় কাটিয়ে দিতে পেরেছিলো একাকী বিকালগুলো। পুতুল নাচের ইতিকথাতে শশী ডাক্তার কি আর এমনি এমনি বলেছিলো,"শরীর, শরীর, শরীর! তোমার মন নাই কুসুম?" মনকে ছুঁয়ে দেবার প্রাণপণ চেষ্টায় শশী তখন হাবুডুবু খাচ্ছিলো প্রেমের অতল সাগরে,তাও তল খুঁজে পায়নি।

ভালোবাসা স্বর্গীয়, যৌনতা আসে তার‌ও অনেক অনেক পরে। কিন্তু মন দিয়ে ভালোবাসা অনুভব করতে গেলে সময় দিতে হয়, কাউকে ভালোলাগার সাথে সাথে তাকে হাতের মুঠোয় পেয়ে রগড়ে নিংড়ে অন্তত মনের সেই ভালোবাসার রস আস্বাদন করা যায় না,সেটা করতে হয় ধীরে ধীরে.. ভালোবাসার মানুষটাকে দূর থেকে ভালোবেসে,পাবার আনন্দটা তখন‌ই তীব্র হয়ে ওঠে।

দুঃখী এই জেনারেশন, ভালোবাসা মানেই তারা জানলো শরীরের স্পর্শ,মন স্পর্শ করতে আর শিখলো না! হাত বাড়ালেই পেয়ে গেলো,অপেক্ষার আনন্দ জানলো না।‌ জানলো না প্রিয় গানের লিরিক্সের মধ্যে বন্দী করে রাখা যায় ভালোবাসার মানুষটির সমস্ত স্মৃতিকে,জানলো না রবীন্দ্রনাথের একেকটা গানের সাথেই মিলিয়ে ফেলা যায় নিজের পুরোটা জীবনকে।
