Okay, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the musical was so good. I've been jamming to "Vidiots" for hours now.

Also I'm glad that the production I saw implied the kids all survived, I feel like it kind of defeats the point of the story if you kill them off outright (Also Veruca apparently gets ripped apart by squirrels in the Broadway revival?! Jesus christ, even Dahl didn't go that dark!)

Wren Wonka would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous. Sure, she actually left the factory, unlike her brother (her twin, younger by five minutes and thirty seven seconds), but she very rarely was out for very long, even then. The poor woman had become practically agoraphobic. She hadn't socialized properly with anyone aside from her brother aside from the Oompa Loompa, Lofty. And she wasn't sure if the little orange man even liked her company, though he was just like that with everyone.

However, she pushed her nerves to the side, adjusting the top hat she was wearing, brown with a purple band wrapped around it and what seemed to be...a cog attached to it. If that looked strange, the rest of the outfit was something else entirely. "Steampunk" was the word the elder Wonka twin had used to describe it. Her dress was reminiscent of a chocolate wrapper, browns and purples mixing in an aesthetically pleasing way, a few chains attached to her skirt, aswell as pockets. She wondered why no one had invented a dress with pockets before her. She also had on tights and boots, which had a spiked heel.

She made all of her own clothes, had done ever since she learned to sew. She remembered begging mama to teach her. She never got the chance, sadly.

"Good-"

She cleared her throat to hide the nervous crack of her voice.

"Good evening, and welcome to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory!"
