when the day comes that Charlie Blackmon is no longer leading off for the Rockies, it'll be weird
kinda like how Joey Votto starting for a team that's not the Reds, tho if he's not on the Reds I feel Toronto is the next best given that he's the greatest Canadian ball player of all time

A Virginia teenager recently drove to Florida to kill a detective that he previously threatened in a voicemail, saying "be afraid."
According to the Orlando Police Department, a 16-year-old was recently arrested regarding an incident that began in March.
During a press conference on Thursday, Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolón explained that in March, officers with the Orlando Police Department were alerted that the 16-year-old was messaging a 13-year-old female online. Rolón said that at one point, officers became aware that the 16-year-old "was dealing with child pornography-type concerns."
Rolón said that officers notified the parents of the 16-year-old about the initial incident and said that "things were handled."
However, the 16-year-old appeared to become upset with the situation and called the Orlando Police Department. During the press conference, Rolón played a recording of the call, where the 16-year-old, identified as Charlie Hall, could be heard saying "I'm going to come down and kill all of you. Be afraid."
According to Rolón, the 16-year-old then called the Orlando Police Department again this past week and left a message for the detective that was working the original case he was involved in with the 13-year-old female.
A recording of the voicemail Hall left was played where he can be heard saying "God has commanded me to kill you. I will end your life. Could be within a week. Could be several years. I will end your life."

Shortly after the voicemail, officers with the Orlando Police Department reached out to police in Newport, Virginia, and learned that the 16-year-old stole his parents' car and took out some money from the bank.
"He was suspected to be traveling to Orlando with the intent to find the 13-year-old and also find our detective and cause harm," Rolón said.
Several law enforcement agencies such as the U.S. Marshals Service and the Florida Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation.
During the press conference, Florida Highway Patrol Major Chris Blackmon explained that after receiving information on the possible whereabouts of the 16-year-old, they set up on Interstate 95.
"The suspect was traveling down 295 in Jacksonville. As he approached the 95 interchange, 95 Southbound, one of our troopers observed the vehicle. He called it in, fell in behind the vehicle," Blackmon said. "We had a vehicle pursuit that lasted about 10 minutes."
The dash-cam footage of the Florida Highway Patrol officer was also played during the press conference and showed the officer using a "pit maneuver" to force the suspect to lose control of his vehicle, which eventually hit a guard rail.
The teen was arrested shortly after and, according to WESH in Florida, the Orlando Police Department is hoping to charge him with attempted murder.
Newsweek reached out to the Orlando Police Department for further comment.

Twins Outslug Rockies 17-9!
Rockies 9 Twins 17 W-Lopez (6-6) L-Gomber (1-4)
The Minnesota Twins came up empty late last night against the Rockies. The team looked for the series win in the rubber game today at Target Field. The Rockies got the scoring started early as Brenton Doyle reached on a single and stole second base. He reached third on a bad throw from Christian Vazquez. Ezequiel Tovar hit a sac fly to right and Colorado struck first. The Twins answered in the bottom of the first when Manny Margot led-off with a bunt single. Carlos Correa and Royce Lewis singled. Byron Buxton plated a run with a base hit to left and Carlos Santana unloaded the bases with a double to right. Kyle Farmer added a run-scoring single and the Twins led 5-1 after an inning of play. The Rockies would inch closer in the fourth when Ryan McMahon smoked a Pablo Lopez curveball out to right for a solo homer. The Twins answered in the fourth as Willi Castro smoked an Austin Gomber fastball out to left for a solo homer. Christian Vazquez followed with a double and Manny Margot doubled him home. Carlos Correa plated a run with a base hit to center and the Twins led 8-2 after four frames. The Rockies added a run in the sixth and the Twins responded right back in the bottom of the sixth. Royce Lewis belted an Angel Chivilli fastball out to left for a two-run homer. Minnesota took a 10-3 lead heading into the seventh. The Rockies would not go away in the seventh. Adael Amador lined a two-out single to center and Charlie Blackmon doubled. Brenton Doyle knocked in a pair with a single to left and Colorado was within five. The Rockies quickly loaded up the bases in the eighth and Carlos Correa misplayed a slow roller to score a run. A bases loaded walk and Adael Amador RBI groundout cut the deficit to two. The Twins would rally big time in the bottom of the eighth. They batted eleven men and knocked in seven runs. The Rockies added a run in the ninth, but Jay Jackson eventually got out of the inning to give the Twins the series win.
-Final Thoughts- Pablo Lopez had a strong day as he went five innings and allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts. Jorge Alcala gave up a run in the sixth and Steven Okert allowed two run in the seventh. Caleb Thielbar allowed three more runs and didn't register an out, Jhoan Duran eventually got out of the eighth, and Jay Jackson struck out the side in the ninth. Carlos Correa led the way with a five-hit day. Royce Lewis, Carlos Santana, Kyle Farmer, and Willi Castro had three hits each. Manny margot, Jose Miranda, and Christian Vazquez had two hits each. The Twins hit 11-for-17 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base. Tomorrow, the A's come to town. Luis Medina faces Joe Ryan in the series opener on Prince Night.
