Argus likes to sit in his workshop and listen to the rain pitter-pattering against the window as he makes progress on his newest project. Maybe he'll take a break and enjoy a mug of coffee on the porch later.

👎 Is there someone your OC can’t stand, despite them being on the same side or sharing basic values?

Oh plenty. Argus is great at clashing with people he should, logically, get along with.

🌳 Would your OC survive for a week on their own in the wilderness?

Absolutely! Argus went camping pretty often as a child, even in bad storms. He's no Bear Grylls but he can definitely keep himself alive for seven days.

🤝 Does your OC have someone they want at their side when they are scared? Who?

Cherie would want Lien! Lien is so sweet and calming and reasonable that she can easily put Cherie at ease.

🎭 What is the one thing your OC regrets most? Would they undo it, considering how their life turned out?

When Cherie was younger, she pressured a friend of a friend into coming out partying. Things escalated quickly when Cherie introduced her to party drugs. She dropped out of med school, sought out harder substances, and completely destroyed her own future. Cherie would do anything to go back in time and tell that girl to stay far away.

She doesn't think about it all that often. Obviously she hopes she dies after a long, happy life, but sometimes she wonders if she'll end up in a gutter after a particularly rough night.

I’m gonna be insane and do all these mfs

Even if Blueskidoo’s parents let her date, they’d force her to bring her partner home and have a nice, chaste dinner date where you get interrogated by her parents to make sure you’re the ideal match for their little girl. Blue will instead lie to her parents about hanging out with friends and go get fast food with you instead. Might not be the most romantic but she’s having fun! Because you’re there!

Cherie is taking you clubbing. You are getting drunk, she'll make sure of it. She'll show you her favourite clubs and bars around town, ranging from exclusive and luxurious to back-alley dives. Not to mention the drugs; Cherie will introduce you to copious amounts of party drugs guaranteed to get you fucked up. There’s also an extremely good chance that you’ll get laid; she likes to fuck on the first date.

Never one to be upstaged, you and Damien are going out dancing and then to a nice, upscale restaurant for a big meal, then retiring back home to cuddle. There’s never a dull moment with her, not if she can help it. However, if you’d prefer something simpler, she wouldn’t mind spending a night in drinking wine and watching a movie on the couch. She’s flexible! (In more ways than one~)

Fuwafuwa would prefer a nice, simple, quiet date; come to her apartment, enjoy a nice home-cooked meal, cuddle on the couch with Fuwa and her cats while watching really dumb movies or playing video games until 4 am. If you’re lucky, you’ll be sent off with some home-made bread when the sun comes up. It may not be fancy, but it’s still a night full of giggles and good memories.

Hà Liên is another fan of more lowkey dates; visiting a nice little café, going on a walk together, playing pool/billiards, things like that. She’ll be nervous the entire time, wanting to leave a good impression on you and not come off as too mousy or boring. Any costs will be split equally; she doesn’t exactly have a high-paying job, but she’d feel awful leaving the monetary burden on you!

Dates with Harrison can be varied; he might take you out for drinks at the pub and have a quick flutter on the pokies. Alternatively, he’ll whisk you away to a fancy, high-class restaurant. Just be warned that, depending on the cost, he might ‘forget’ his wallet and stick you with the bill or make a deal with the restaurant. Afterwards, he’ll take you on a drive and intend to finish off the night by getting lucky.

Do not expect Locke to take you on a nice date. The best you’re getting is going to his shitty, messy place and watching TV in the dark while eating expensive take-out. If you’re really lucky, his sister will visit and chew him out until he takes you to a local diner, the kind that hasn’t been updated since the 60′s. Be warned that he will be completely high as a kite the entire time, though.

Lovelace is always fun to go on dates with; she’ll take you to an amusement park, the zoo, cool novelty shops, dumb movies, anything she thinks you might be even slightly interested in. If you suggest date ideas before, she’ll immediately start planning them out, wanting nothing more than to see your excited face when she surprises you with what you wanted.

First impressions are everything to Miele; he’ll take you to a play, one with rave reviews and limited tickets, or to a ballet performance, perhaps even to his brother’s newest movie. He’s not afraid to leverage his siblings’ careers and success to get your attention and entice you to go on a date with him, even calling in favors with each of them to get tickets and merch and the like.

Due to Pollen’s large family, you’ll be going on dates outside the house so as to not be bombarded by their siblings and parents’ questions. Their go-to first date is a movie, the dumbest-looking one being shown at the local cinema. They’ll buy huge buckets of popcorn and sickening amounts of candy to share with you. It doesn’t matter if you got the same drinks, they’ll still want a taste.

With starbunnies’ daughter, it’s difficult for her to even find time for a date. Your first date will be something clean and simple; dinner, maybe a movie. The date itself isn’t anything too unique or special, but it’s star that makes the night one to remember; telling you goofy stories about her younger years, silly things her daughter has done, really letting her personality shine through.

Yohan will be practically vibrating the entire time, full of nervous energy and desperate to show you a good time. If left up to him, you’ll hop in his car, break a few traffic laws grabbing obscene amounts of greasy fast food, and find a nice hill to park on where you can both sit on the hood of his car and watch the stars while he tells you dumb jokes and rambles about anything and everything.

A pair of blackout bands on his bicep is the only one I currently have set in stone, though I'm currently considering giving him a pin-up girl tattoo and one or two math-themed ones!

Cherie:

Definitely has a 2000s-era tramp stamp, she’s too much of a Y2K Barbie bimbo to not have one. Would also have an underboob tattoo.

Damien:

Her tattoos were all ones that she got in her 20s. She had the foresight to at least pick appropriate tattoos in easily hidden places. This includes a vampire tattoo below her collarbone and a larger coffin tattoo on her outer thigh.

Harrison:

He has a kinda shitty spiderweb tattoo on his neck, one that he got while in prison.

Argus Sullivan

Argus is a hot-headed, sadistic, misogynistic, 29-year-old warehouse worker suffering from erotomania; a delusional disorder resulting in intense obsessive tendencies and the belief that the object of his ‘affections’ feels just as strongly towards him.

He wants the ideal white-picket-fence life with a spouse, 2.5 kids, maybe a dog or two, even if that means going to extreme lengths to keep his spouse in line. His “canon” obsession is Cherie.

blueskidoo

blueskidoo is an 18-year-old Catholic school student trying to break from the influence of her overly strict parents and a self-proclaimed proud morosexual; she’s attracted to dumbasses and dumbasses exclusively. Conversely, blue herself does quite well academically, even if she often slacks off.

She’s like many young adults; yearning for freedom and wanting her own independence, though her parents are more controlling than most, as they’re desperate to keep her in-line and pure.

Cherie Senft

Cherie is a 24-year-old woman working at a local, overpriced, rather pretentious coffee shop. She’s a ditzy social butterfly with a ridiculously high libido and a love of partying, raves, and all the chaos that comes with it. Despite being a young adult, she’s horrifically irresponsible and negligent.

All she wants in life is to be free from expectations; to cast off the expectations of her family, to forget her mistakes, and to just live without worry, no matter how unrealistic it might be.

Damien Fleury

Damien is a 35-year-old therapist who was assigned Argus as a client for court-ordered therapy. She’s a calm, well put-together woman who exudes confidence and competence with everything she does, rarely ever letting her guard down or allowing others to see her weaknesses.

After learning just how dangerous Argus has the potential to be, Damien has made it her goal to act as damage control; intercepting his plans or trying to redirect him onto less destructive ideas.

Finn Gianakis

Finn is an alternate version of Argus; a 29-year-old tutor battling against obsessive thoughts and violent desires. Outwardly, he seems perfectly normal: an intelligent, polite southern gentleman who’d drop anything to help his dear mother, and who’s charmingly quirky.

He hates the urges that arise around people he finds attractive; the illogical jealousy, the need to claim them, all of it.

Fuwafuwa

Fuwa (Phoebe) is a reclusive 26-year-old freelance digital artist who spends her days secluded in her small Alaskan apartment with her two cats (Archibald and Hjalmar). She’s highly anxious, cynical, and finds it difficult to open up to others in most situations.

Those who take the time to get past her hard, prickly shell will be rewarded by a soft, affectionate, loyal, and nurturing friend who’s always ready to go to bat for them.

Hà Liên Thi Phạm

Lien is a 26-year-old barista working alongside Cherie at a pretentious, overpriced coffee shop popular with upper-class teens and young adults. She’s the “mom friend” of any group she’s in: mature, nurturing, sometimes a little overbearing (though with good intentions).

She comes from a rough upbringing; abusive parents, a bullying brother, a runaway attempt that went horribly wrong, and spends every day of her life trying to distance herself from her old life.

Harrison Alexander

Harrison is a 27-year-old bartender at a ritzy casino who is constantly chasing the newest thrill, even if it ends up harming him. He’s charming and a smooth talker, but also a coward who is often self-centred and tends to run from the consequences of his actions.

After having grown up in rural Australia, Harrison is yearning for a bigger and better life, though his efforts are hampered by his impulsivity, self-destructiveness, and rampant alcoholism.

Locke Vanitas

Locke is a 32-year-old drug dealer whose decade long stint in prison only served to make him worse. He’s a sadistic, detached man with no regard for the lives of those around him, his episodes of pure, unadulterated rage being the only real match for his laziness.

The only people Locke seems to have any level of care for are his little sister and grandparents, though even they’ve come to fear him over time as his addictions change him into someone unrecognizeable.

Miele Alarie

Miele, aged 26, acts as sweet as his name implies. He’s ambitious, affectionate, and as overdramatic as you could expect a minor child star, former theater kid, and current-day stage actor to be in his day-to-day life. Beneath his saccharine façade lays something much more sinister.

He’s the third youngest of eight siblings, all involved with the performing arts in some way, shape, or form under the management of their former beauty-queen mother. His twin sister was once a package deal with him.

missLovelace

missLovelace (Cassandra) is a 26-year-old college student majoring in math and minoring in comp-sci who lives on-campus. She’s bubbly and exuberant, though allergic to any kind of direct conflict, often leaving her as the one trying to settle arguments as quickly as possible.

She’s very close to her parents and little sister, visiting them as often as she can.

Percy Thomas

Percival Thomas is a 23-year-old library assistant and devout Catholic who struggles to stand up for himself or say no, often leading to him carrying out everyone else’s errands and menial tasks. Soft-spoken, generous, and too forgiving for his own good.

He’s extremely close to his older sister, her husband, and their four children. Percy takes his position as their uncle very seriously.

POLLINICPANIC

POLLINICPANIC (Makara) is a 27-year-old finance officer who lives with their ailing parents and multiple siblings, working hard to support them. They’re very light-hearted and mischievous, taking any opportunity to play jokes on their friends, though they also have an unfortunate tendency of pushing their own limits and overworking themself.

Pollen spends their free time in their extensive, treasured garden, which they’ve put years of love and effort into.

starbunnies (Serena) is a 23-year-old photographer who primarily works from home so she can spend more time with her toddler daughter. She’s very soft-spoken and nurturing, skilled at navigating difficult topics and bringing a calming presence to most situations she’s involved with.

She often worries about being perceived as immature due to her love of romance and fantasy, and puts a lot of effort into making sure people take her seriously.

Yohan Chae

Yohan is a 26-year-old delinquent-turned-mechanic who, despite his mean looks, has a personality more akin to a golden retriever. He could, by some people’s interpretation, fit the dictionary definition of a simp towards just about every woman he meets.

Though he may seem a little empty-headed, Yohan is intensely dedicated to his passions, friends, and family (particularly his younger brother).

Ziggy Santana

Ziggy is a 28-year-old unemployed stoner who peaked in high-school and has only gone downhill from there. He spends most of his time getting high, gaming, and heading down to the rarely-used skate park by his parents’ house.

Though friendly and generally well-intentioned, Ziggy doesn’t seem to realize that it’s highly inappropriate to grope people (or more) in public, nor does he acknowledge how much his little sister, Joni, despises him for being the family failure.

Lien is a Vietnamese-American woman who works at a pretentious coffee shop alongside Cherie Senft. She's often exasperated by her co-worker's antics and is usually the first to warn her to be more careful about, well, everything!

She's constantly worried about things and tends to mother those around her, sometimes to the point of being excessive or overbearing.

After leaving the family farm for good, Lien cut contact with her parents and older brother, sick of the abuse they'd put her through.

Argus has canon? What else is canon for him?

Currently, Argus' canon is a bunch of loosely-connected ideas and concepts, but here's what I currently have!

Argus' usual coffee place is shut due to renovations, and he ends up at a somewhat pretentious coffee house popular with teenagers and young adults (think Starbucks, but not a chain).

It's here that he first meets Cherie Senft; a peppy, somewhat ditzy pink-haired barista. She greets him with a grin and tells him that Argus is such a cool name!

He falls for her when she draws a little heart next to his name.

It's something she does for every customer, but he doesn't know that.

Even when the dinky little shop he always went to is back in business, he keeps going to the fancier coffeehouse.

His future wife is there, after all.

Now, Argus has a long history of stalking and harassing people—mostly woman, but also some men—which has landed him a mandated therapist; Damien Fleury.

Damien tries her damned best to keep Argus in line, confronting his outdated beliefs, and trying to make him realize that maybe he's the source of all his problems.

Meanwhile, Cherie is completely oblivious to having gained a stalker. Her co-worker, Hà Liên Thi Phạm, is more observant. She's noticed the tall, quiet man sitting in a corner of the café, eyes rarely leaving Cherie's body, and she's terrified.

That's the basic 'plot' I have!
