Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

Plenty! He'll fuck them, hit them, get them high, drag them to parties, whatever he wants.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

It can vary from person to person, but most of the time he just wants to use them as arm candy and stress relief. The length of their relationship will strongly depend on how well they can keep him entertained.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

Sometimes he'll just yell at them and leave them bruised. Other times he invites his friends over for a little get together where his partner is the party favor. If they aren't going to behave, he'll just let them get passed around like a cheap fleshlight. They'll learn their lesson soon enough.

Not at all! Halson isn't the kind of guy to really feel guilt for the shit he does to people. He's the golden boy, he's wealthy, he's famous, he's never faced consequences.

He would only release someone once he loses interest in them, and they'll return to the real world to find their reputation in shambles.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

He's much more detached than a traditional yandere. Halson isn't necessarily in it for the long term, unless he meets someone very special.

Would they agree with the term ‘guilty pleasure’? Do they have any?

Argus was raised in a conservative vaguely-Christian environment. He absolutely feels guilt about harmless shit. His biggest guilty pleasure is romance books. He keeps a couple stashed under his mattress as fantasy material where he gets to be the dark and dashing hero sweeping some pretty little thing off their feet.

Yohan is incapable of shame or guilt. If you really pushed him, he'd maybe say ice cream, if only for the intense stomach cramps he inevitably gets afterwards. World's bravest tummy ache survivor.

Kissing: tongue or no tongue?

They both like to kiss with tongue. Argus is aggressive and feels a need to violate and dominate, even in his softer moments. Yohan, meanwhile, just thinks that swapping spit is kinda hot. He likes that it can get a little bit gross and messy.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

Hard to say! He might be a little regretful and bitter that they didn't have a cutesy start to their relationship, but it's fine. Knowing Argus, he probably thinks that they started dating days, weeks, months before he snapped and took them home.

He'd never let them go, though. They're his spouse, his one and only, the first person to love him and never leave him.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

Frustrated. Angry. Confused.

They're being so fucking emotional and they won't let him fix it! He's offered cuddles, kisses, oral, sex, alcohol, everything he can think of! Fine, if they wanna throw a tantrum like a brat, he'll treat them like one until they're ready to act like a mature adult again.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

In some ways, that's his entire goal; to break someone into becoming his perfect house-spouse. The constant abuse—verbal, mental, emotional, physical, sexual—would break most people given enough time.

Their parents' relationship has always been a matter of contention among the Sullivan siblings.

As the oldest child and, until the twins were born, the only son, Atticus knows all two well what an awful fucking bastard his father is. He's watched Argus beat his mother black and blue, leaving her to sob and scream threats of suicide and murder and murder-suicide from her place on the floor. He can remember all the times his father struck him for stepping out of line, the gasping and sputtering after Argus punched him right in the back, winding him.

He can remember the fear of being choked by his own father, clawing at his hands, and almost passing out before his mother broke a lamp over Argus' back. The ensuing beating was the most violent he'd witnessed up to that point; a broken nose, dried blood matting her dirty blonde hair, and her glasses shattered against her face.

Molly and Carrie, the two oldest daughters, are no less familiar with just how toxic their parents' relationship is. They thought it was normal at first, of course pa has to hit ma, that's just how marriages are.

Molly was the first to realize that wasn't the case. She still cringes remembering the stares she got when she expressed shock that her best friend's mom didn't even get slapped for talking back to her husband. She considers herself lucky for rarely drawing her father's ire. She deflates when she realizes it's only because she was desperate for his approval. No boyfriends, no clothes that wouldn't be approved by a hyper-conservative Catholic school, nightly phone checks, he had to meet all her friends and their parents before she could even text them.

Carrie wasn't so lucky. She swore he was going to have a heart attack the first time she came home with black and purple hair, dark and dramatic make-up, and clothes that would immediately get her dress coded. She still grins whenever she sees that little scar on her dad's cheek. Fucker didn't think her dumb fake nails could do anything. She had to prove him wrong.

Rebecca doesn't know what her siblings are talking about! Sure it's not fun hearing ma and pa fight, but all couples fight, don't they? Besides, pa has always been so sweet! He spent so many hours making portable wooden ramps for Rebecca after she got her wheelchair, and he carries her around whenever there's stairs! He may be overbearing, and maybe it's a little annoying that she's babied more than her sibling... but pa loves her! He tells her that all the time! Ma does, too, she was always telling Rebecca that pa needed to let her grow up, but he just wanted her to be safe, didn't he?

Will and Wendy have always been the babies of the family, even when they no longer were. They'd defend their pa to their dying breaths! He's a great dad, and they don't understand why the oldest three hate him so much! Will only grew more defensive when pa slinked into the house with a black eye and a split lip after one of his and Atticus' regular screaming matches.

Wendy, meanwhile, never thought much of Atticus and Argus' rivalry. She always assumed they were roughhousing, like when she and Will were kids who'd bite and pull each other's hair. Of course as she grew older and began to understand what "fucking abusive piece of shit" and "your ma wanted to abort you" meant, she realized that wasn't the case...

Argus had forbidden any of his kids from seeing a therapist, or even a school guidance counselor. "My fuckin' kids are fine!" He'd say, even as his youngest got sent home after biting three people in one day. "Ain't nothin' wrong with 'em," he'd insist, while his eldest compulsively cheated or dumped his girlfriends as soon as they wanted to get serious.

Sure. The Sullivan kids were totally normal, well-adjusted, all-American youths. What a fucking joke.

Carrie never listened to her father's anti-therapy, anti-psychiatry ramblings about people trying to fuck with his brain and how "none of that shit's even real! They just want y' money!"

Her therapist had their work cut out for them.

Especially when Molly and Atticus began awkwardly hanging around the waiting area, Molly compulsively chewing on her little paper cup and Atticus angrily tapping his foot.

Three siblings, one therapist, and the worst family dynamic most people have ever seen.

The next morning is tense, suffocating, like hands grabbing and squeezing and choking the life out of those present.

How familiar.

"I heard the Edwards' are probably getting divorced." Atticus can feel a set of eyes boring right into his soul. "Yeah, I heard Mrs Edwards was caught in bed with a dashing young blond man."

Argus' utensils loudly clatter against his plate, causing his wife to flinch. "You disgustin' motherfucker."

"Guilty as charged."

"Where the fuck did I go wrong, I thought I taught y'all that cheatin' and shit ain't fuckin' right."

"Please, can we not fight? I don't wanna do this..."

"Shut the fuck up, Cher."

Atticus slams his hands on the table. "At least I don't beat my wife and kids. At least I'll never trap some poor bastard in a shitty loveless marriage. At least I can admit I'm a piece of shit."

The enraged glare Atticus receives is almost enough to make him cower, almost. He's not a scared little kid any more. He's a grown-ass man, one who's only hanging around for the sake of his mother and siblings.

His tantrums are so, so destructive. He'll turn over tables, throw things against the walls and floor to shatter them, threaten his darling, and get physically violent unless they manage to stay out of arms reach.

Though some may point to his habit of sharing as his darling's most traumatic experience; being bent over a table, unable to escape, as person after person takes turns on them, abusing their holes, slapping them around, and laughing as they beg and cry.

He's mommy's special widdle golden boy who can't do anything wrong. Halson has been spoiled his entire life. Anything he wanted, he got; money, games, toys, friends, even romantic partners. People don't tell him no. They aren't allowed to tell him no.

His busy schedule. Halson often has to travel for performances, leaving his darling in the hands of his friends or his family. If they get lucky and play their cards right, they may be able to chip away at their current 'babysitter's' conscience until they're freed.

Not long. Much like most of his siblings, Halson is not a patient man. He knows what he wants, and the world will drop it into his lap right this goddamn second or he's throwing a massive bitch-fit.

I'm in my early 20s and I seen calm when people first meet me, then I get comfortable with em. Turns out I'm a goddamn gremlin who gets the fuckin zoomies when I know person ain't a dick about it. Argus likes to sit in his workshop and listen to the rain pitter-pattering against the window as he makes progress on his newest project. Maybe he'll take a break and enjoy a mug of coffee on the porch later.

👎 Is there someone your OC can’t stand, despite them being on the same side or sharing basic values?

Oh plenty. Argus is great at clashing with people he should, logically, get along with.

Absolutely! Argus went camping pretty often as a child, even in bad storms. He's no Bear Grylls but he can definitely keep himself alive for seven days.

🤝 Does your OC have someone they want at their side when they are scared? Who?

Cherie would want Lien! Lien is so sweet and calming and reasonable that she can easily put Cherie at ease.

🎭 What is the one thing your OC regrets most? Would they undo it, considering how their life turned out?

When Cherie was younger, she pressured a friend of a friend into coming out partying. Things escalated quickly when Cherie introduced her to party drugs. She dropped out of med school, sought out harder substances, and completely destroyed her own future. Cherie would do anything to go back in time and tell that girl to stay far away.

She doesn't think about it all that often. Obviously she hopes she dies after a long, happy life, but sometimes she wonders if she'll end up in a gutter after a particularly rough night.

Yohan is honestly pretty competent in the kitchen! He always helped his parents with dinner as a kid, and while he may get a little too experimental at times, letting him cook is usually a safe bet.

MMMMMMMM DEBATABLE! Yohan usually has a pretty good routine in terms of self-care, but every now and then the ADHD gremlin takes over and suddenly it's 4 am and he's learning niche facts about lobsters on Wikipedia.

I think Yohan would want to play as a warrior or a paladin. He likes picking up a sword and fighting for what's right!! And maybe some kissies!!

Argus thinks about his death more than he'd admit. He tells himself that he'll die after a long, happy life in the house he built, surrounded by his wife and kids and grandkids.

He remembers how his father died, terrified, struggling, clutching his heart. Sometimes his chest hurts, or his rhythm is irregular and he wonders if he'll go out the same way.

Sometimes the self-loathing gets too strong. He didn't leave the house for weeks so no-one could see the bruises around his throat and know he's a fucking failure even when it comes to dying.

🌌 If your OC has a nightmare, what’s it most likely about?

It varies. One night blood will fill his lungs and choke him as he silently screams. The next, he is in his childhood house wandering down endless hallways that keep getting longer and longer as something chases him.

Anything to do with his current obsession, even tangentially. It'll short out the reasoning center of his brain and before long you'll have trapped yourself an angry bastard man.

ATTICUS KASPER SULLIVAN

The oldest Sullivan sibling and the one with the worst relationship with his father. Atticus is aggressive, abrasive, and highly adverse to romance in any form. He is constantly doing whatever he can to piss off his father, ranging from wearing pink to being part of various affairs.

MOLLY BLOSSOM SULLIVAN

The worst case of "oldest daughter syndrome" that you may ever see. Molly is much more reserved than her brother, but is suffering an identity crisis as to how much of her personality is real and how much was built up to keep her father happy.

CARRIE KRYSTAL SULLIVAN

A rebel to her very core. Carrie is always fighting against The Man, (The Man being her father, but also capitalism). She is everything her father hates; an independent woman who sees no reason to seek male approval. Carrie's a complete mommy's girl, as she reminds Cherie of herself before she met Argus.

REBECCA AYALA SULLIVAN

In contrast to Carrie, Rebecca is a total daddy's girl. She may not like the way Pa treats Mama, but she's sure he's not evil, he loves his family, he always says he does. She is, however, annoyed at how Argus treats her like she's made of glass. Rebecca can do things for herself! She's not a little kid!

WILLIAM LEONARD SULLIVAN & WENDY HOPE SULLIVAN

The twins, and the most obviously autistic kids you will ever meet. William rarely talks and is more than happy to sit in a corner and play with the wooden toys his father made. Wendy talks enough for both of them and has a long history of biting people as a way of showing love. They love their papa! He's so funny when he and Atticus get into their dumb little fights!

She was beautiful, alluring, confident, and strong. Was.

If you asked Lawrence, he'd say she's still beautiful; glassy red eyes redder than ever before with the new addition of burst blood vessels overtaking her sclera like ground ivy covering a stone wall, her plush red lips swollen and parted, dried blood mixing in with smeared ruby lipstick, and her soft, smooth skin still retaining the slightest amount of warmth.

He liked her much better this way, to be honest; a haunting beauty, forever silenced and unable to fend off any of Lawrence's whims. A problem met with a solution.

She'd be perfect for his art project.

Ren

He'd been so excited about bringing home his new friend! Ren had always had a thing for taller women, and her height just meant that all those cosplays would reveal even more skin! Everything was perfect; dinner was on, Arcadia was beginning to stir, he'd triple-checked her shackles.

All it took was a single second of distraction for Arcadia to launch herself at Ren and wrap a length of chain around his neck. A brief shock should've been enough to stop her, but she just wouldn't stop, and with his oxygen running out he had no choice but to press that switch again, and again, and again...

Arcadia really was like her bitch of a mother, even died the same way as her.

Strade

This is the most fun Strade's had in a long time. He wasn't expecting much when he approached her; a demure woman pointedly refusing to lay her manicured hands on the sticky bar counter, cringing and turning up her nose as men twice her age drunkenly slur out vulgar comments about her ass.

The five long scratches swerving over his cheek, as red as her nails, are proof that you can't judge a book by its cover. The little h��ndin was certainly interesting...

Maybe she should stick around a little longer, his audience loves seeing him break the more aggressive ones.

In the back of his mind, he knew his wife would need time to recover; Sullivan babies tend to be large, after all. Argus himself was a rather chubby baby. Even so, hearing the nurse explain how long it'll be before they can be intimate again has him scowling.

Having to deal with the way he panics when he thinks someone will discover his dirty little secret. Finn has worked so hard to get where he is! All the therapy and medication and cutting people off when he starts getting too close oh god he's so lonely...

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

He tries to be normal. Really, he does! Finn will find ways to be around them and strike up some conversations so they can get to know each other, maybe he'll ask them out for coffee, his treat. He might even go to his mother for advice, she's back in the dating scene, she has to know how this works!

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

Not on purpose but... he's a big guy, and with all the stress and panicking there's a good chance he'll lash out or grab them too hard. They'll be bombarded with apologies and gifts afterwards, but he also can't stop staring at their bruises.

He adores them more than life itself. Finn needs them to know just how much he loves them and cares for them and wants them to be happy. He would give them anything; money, gifts, affection, his blood. Ask and they shall receive.

As long as he possibly can. Finn wants to do this the right way. He doesn't want to hurt them, he doesn't want to give in to his impulses! His therapist will be getting a lot of panicked calls and texts as Finn realizes just how deeply he's fallen.

So I'm dainty and femme as heck, but I'm also kind of a fucking bitch tbh. I don't care how mean and tall Arcadia is, I just want to assert my dominance over her - physically, mentally, socially. What kind of challenge am I looking at here? What are her emotional insecurities?

Despite her usual poise and grace, Arcadia is deeply insecure. She hates her height, hates her wider build, hates remembering all the times she was compared to her "prettier" peers.

She wants to be dominated, to be put in her place and treated like a proper woman... well... her idea of a proper woman.

Remain confident, don't back down, and don't take the bait. She will be trying to get a reaction out of you in order to reclaim control and you need to show her that you won't stoop to her level. Treat her like the immature brat that she is.

Make comments about her make-up being too thick, her hair looking greasy, her voice sounding like a pack-a-day smoker's, roll your eyes when she tries to offer opinions or condescendingly remind her that no-one cares what she thinks and then ignore any attempts to gain attention.

Feel free to get a little physical with her, too. Arcadia wants/needs someone willing to discipline her for acting out, and you could be that perfect person who'll break her down and reinvent her into a proper wife <3

The realization that Stockholm syndrome is setting in. Yohan is kind and caring and funny. If they ignore their situation, it feels like they and Yohan are... actually dating. He cooks them meals, gifts them silly little trinkets he thinks they'll like, tells them dumb jokes, and splits the house chores with them.

Really, he's nicer than most men they've met and/or dated...
