Trip to Bayuka

part 6 : Commander Appo x Cherrish Lene

A/N: This is the last part before new year. Other parts will come after new year. Happy new year everyone 🎉🎈🥳

“See you next year” Cherrish turned back and said to everyone. Appo looked back to his brothers and waved his hand to say goodbye to them.

They walked pass sitting areas, stores and restaurants. Cherrish wore purple dress, braided on top of her head, and let her left hair down. Appo looked outside windows. He saw many ships arrived and left. Although he had seen these pictures before, but this one looked different. People were happy to go back home or have holiday. Then Cherrish stopped at a restaurant. Then they went inside. It was large and decorated in green-gold tone. They sat on their chairs which covered by green satin.

“Do you have any recommend dishes ?” Cherrish asked a waitresses.

“I would like to recommend this one” She pointed at the picture of a dish which decorated in heart shape. “This one is the newest menu, and proper with two people”

“Hmm…Appo what do you think ?” Cherrish asked him.

“Up to you” He said.

“This one please” Cherrish ordered food.

A waiter poured wine into their glass. Then he bowed to them. Cherrish was used to with this manner, but Appo wasn’t. He was a clone, some people not even thinking that him was a human. Cherrish was kind, gentle, generous and loved him even he was created in lab. Shortly after that the food was served.

“Try this” She said and gave him the meat that had only one in the dish.

“No thanks, you should eat it” He refused to eat it because he knew it was only one.

“I know you don’t often eat that nice food so I want you to eat this one” She said.

“Maybe we just share” He offered his idea.

“Sounds good” She smiled and cut the meat in half.

Appo put the meat into his mouth. It was soft, almost crumbled in his mouth. There were colorful vegetables, bread and different kinds of meat. Appo stabbed meat up and ate it with sauce. The sauce was sweet and salty, he could smell garlic too.

“Ahh we need to hurry now” Cherrish said while she was looking at her watch.

They finished their breakfast and left the restaurant. They walked pass a gate and arrived at a ship that smaller than the one they traveled from Coruscant. There was a man wearing white suit waiting for them.

“Representative Lene” He said and bowed.

Cherrish walk on the ship followed by Appo. Inside the ship was decorated simply with white furnitures. They sat on sofa. A droid served drinks for them. Cherrish went to change her outfit and she gave him an outfit too.

“Wow…You so looks good” She walked toward him, and set his outfit to make him look more presentable.

They wore red outfits matching with each other’s. He had seen Cherrish wore this outfit a few times. His outfit was designed for representatives’ spouse. They looked in a mirror. Appo wrapped his arms around her slender waist, and led his chin on her shoulder. She stroked his face, and laughed.

“Look at us. We look perfect” She kissed him. His face turned red.

The ship arrived at council building. The building is located in the middle of the forest. They walk into the building. Inside the building looked clean and neat, high ceiling, lights were turned on made the building looked bright. People walking around dressed up in similar outfits but different colors and patterns.

“We adapt uniform to be our unique tribe style” Cherrish told him.

“Cherrish !” Appo heard the voice from behind. Cherrish turned back, and ran into a man arm. They huged each other tightly. The black hair man was taller than him, maybe as general ? Appo thought. Then he recognized that Cherrish had talked about her siblings, and she said her elder brother worked here. He was her brother ! The last word that he heard from her was “see you tomorrow”. Cherrish said goodbye to her brother, and came back to Appo.

“My brother, I haven’t met him for a year” She said. “I have a meeting. Let’s go to waiting room. You can wait inside” She brought him to waiting room.

The meeting had been for an hour. They arrived at Cherrish’s house. It was a medium sized hut that connected with others. They went inside, nobody there, but it was clean and living. Cherrish opened the back door.

“They’re still here” She said with her sweet voice. She picked some of them, and went to kitchen. “Wanna help me ?” She asked him. He nodded.

Appo helped Cherrish washed vegetables while she was preparing soup. She put some meat and vegetables in the soup, and mixed it. Appo spread butter on corn, and put them in a oven. Cherrish put the soup into his mouth.

“Is it delicious ?” She asked.

“A little bit salty” He answered. She put something in the soup, and put it into his mouth again. “Hmm…delicious” He said. Cherrish smiled and put it into her mouth too.

“Hmm…I just remember that tonight will have fireworks and we can see it from here” She said while she was tasting the soup. “Maybe after we’ve finished our dinner, we go to watch fireworks”

“Sound good, maybe we have to eat dinner now, the sun almost set” He suggested her.

“Don’t you want to watch the sunset” She grabbed his arm, and bought him to upper deck. They sat down. Cherrish led a bowl of soup and corn to him. The sky started turning from orange to black. The sun had set, and the sky was covered by stars. “Is it good ? Eating on upper deck” She asked.

“With you, it’s all wonderful” He hugged her waist.

“Let’s go to watch fireworks” She said excitedly.

“I thought we’re going to watch them here” He wondered.

“Ahh…I want to show you somewhere” She said while she was climbing down.

One of her hand was holding a lantern, the others was holding his hand. They walked through the forest. High trees around them. They heard animals whining. They arrived at open courtyard. There was a rock, they sat on it. Cherrish put her hand on top of Appo’s.They looked up at the sky. Fireworks appeared on the sky. Cherrish led her head on his shoulder, he led his head on hers as they watched the fireworks together.
