OMG THANK U FOR THIS ANON !!! i will try my best hehe >;3 (gonna try and do the moots i interact w most frequently :') i'm always super indecisive when it comes to these things sjfnr)
@justalildumpling — kim sunwoo or lee hyunjae; she and sunwoo r just two delulus in love 😔🤘🏻 and for some reason, she gives hyunjae sometimes, but maybe it's cuz they oftentimes don't realize their worth and how incredible they r 😔
@ethereal-engene — jacob bae (aheh); dude like,, she's such a ray of sunshine but very low-key in her humor and likes to call me out on my clownery so often 🤡 but she's also just one of the nicest people you'll ever meet
@jaehunnyy — lee juyeon; an absolute baby, an absolute gem, incredible, talented, beautiful, i love juy-chip— (but in all seriousness, chip def bodies juyo a lot, esp on the wholesome and talent aspect!! but they're also both incredible dancers hehe)
@winterchimez — lee sangyeon; skcnkdOKAY IM NOT TRYING TO CHEAT OKAY ally just takes care of me a lot and i feel like she's always giving that very warm sangyeon vibe :')) and maybe it's also the fact that now that i've gotten to know her, she's also def his type @_@
@hongyangi — ji changmin; high-key just a menace, always sending me sexc tbz pics and making me go feral 😭😭😭 but also like i read somewhere that changmin is usually the member who goes into others' rooms to just be w them, and dal kinda does that w the way she's always popping into people's inboxes to say hi <33
@hqrana — kevin moon; brooooo the way noa vibes is so kevin lmao like just a lot of good sass and attitude and i feel very alive yet comforted when i speak to her 🫂🫂 she and kevin r just so iconic as well, and it just feels like the right match if u get what i mean??
@loveliestfelix — choi chanhee; OMG like these two r absolute STUNNERS. im TELLING U wkfnksjf so much style, and also nana has such a sweet smile like chanhee (the quality goes hard guys 😔) but yeah nana is like, the person i admire (i get starstruck by her) and wanna embody just like new :'))

Start-up (2020)
Tumblr media
I really enjoyed the first couple arcs in the show, but there was a real drop in interest by the end of it. I'm sure the pandemic was part of the problem, but the biggest problem was the same thing that plagues so many of these workplace rom-coms — The dreaded LOVE TRIANGLE!
The premise actually worked for the most part. The writers kept me guessing enough at the beginning that I couldn't decide what was going to happen with the relationships. I especially liked the underdog story at the beginning. But they kept the resolution to the stupid love triangle going to 6 episodes too long. And I just stopped caring about most of the story. Especially for the last three episodes. The only thing that kept me going really was the performances.
The Performances
Bae Suzy (as Seo Dal-mi) did a pretty good job as the main romantic interest and really the main character. The writing at the end (which may have been a casualty of the pandemic) really let her down in the last 6-8 episodes. What I think the writers were trying for in her arc was having her go from under-confident to over-confident and then finding a balance at the end.
They kind of painted themselves in a corner as they wanted her to do something dumb enough to have consequences, but not so dumb that she washed up and ruined the company. But there aren't very many real life cases of that to choose from so you got something that could have been easily avoided if she had talked to anyone in the industry for 5 minutes. It was dumb and felt contrived, and it took the character to a less interesting place in the last few episodes.
Nam Joo-hyuk (as Nam Do-san), did a good but fairly forgettable job. The writers could have done alot more to make his character interesting, but his real problem was that he was playing opposite Kim Seon-ho—who would go on to play a better version of the same character in Hometown Cha x3—and so he ended up looking like a boring kid until maybe the very end of the show.
Kim Seon-ho (as Kim Sang-ho) was one of the standout players here. He had the most interesting backstory, and the grumpy cynic with a heart of gold character was by far the most interesting of the cast. He also had great banter and chemistry with everyone which was just fun to watch.
Kim Hae-sook (as the grandmother, Choi Won-deok) was also fun to watch. Every scene with her and Kim Seon-ho was pretty good. Even when they were just sitting and talking and eating street food.
Kang Han-na (as Won In-jae / Seo In-jae) was probably the most underused main character. Kang Han-na did a good job with what she was given, but her role was mostly just to provide motivation for the other characters. The writers could have given her story more attention and had a much more interesting show. For various reason, they didn't.
Stephanie Lee (as Jung Sa-ha) did a pretty good job with what she was given. I didn't buy the romance arc the writers did with her character, but it was cute enough that I sort of liked it anyways. Once the writers gave the guy she was dating an actual personality, anyway. Overall, it was a decent role, but much less interesting role than in Yong-pal.
TL; DR:
There's a severe dropoff in quality in the last 8 episodes. This could be due to the pandemic, but in any case there was alot of wheel spinning and I nearly lost interest.
They had a decent love triangle which only worked because the third corner was played by Kim Seon-ho. If you were in the know, you could figure out who the writers were going to end it with (the ages, the marketing posters, etc. made that pretty clear), but Seon-ho did such a good job with a cool character, that you still kind of wanted Sang-ho and Seo Dal-mi to ride off into the sunset. But there's always Hometown Cha x3 instead.

[Kbizoom] Before Yoona, Lee Jong Suk boasted outstanding chemistry with these 3 K-drama actresses
see below👇
Tumblr media
As a top star, Lee Jong Suk has his own fair share of drop-dead gorgeous on-screen lovers.
The ongoing K-drama “Big Mouth” is gaining immense attention from the audience with its gripping and unpredictable plot, and the appearance of “visual couple” Lee Jong Suk and Yoona is a big bonus.
Tumblr media
In “Big Mouth”, Yoona assumes the role of Go Mi Ho – wife to Lee Jong Suk’s character Park Chang Ho. The couple is already boasting an intense chemistry, but before Yoona, Lee Jong Suk has been through these just as outstanding on-screen lovers:
Lee Jong Suk – Bae Suzy
Lee Jong Suk and Bae Suzy collaborated in “While You Were Sleeping”, where Suzy played the female lead Hong Joo – who can predict the future through her dreams. Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk assumed the role of prosecutor Jae Chan, who tried his best to stop Hong Joo’s nightmare from becoming true.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lee Jong Suk and Suzy’s overflowing chemistry in “While You Were Sleeping”
With such a unique concept, “While You Were Sleeping” managed to gain the interest of many audiences, and became a hit the year it aired. However, the overwhelming chemistry of Lee Jong Suk and Suzy was also a crucial factor, stealing hearts left and right whenever the couple appeared on the screen together.
Tumblr media
To play Hong Joo, Suzy had to sacrifice her silky long hair, and even wore clothes similar to menswear. However, the “nation’s first love” never fail to shine, regardless of what styling she’s adorning.
Lee Jong Suk – Park Shin Hye
The next iconic on-screen partner of Lee Jong Suk is undoubtedly Park Shin Hye, who have starred in series like “The Heirs”, “You’re Beautiful”, “Doctors”, “Memories of Alhambra”, “Sisyphus: The Myth”, and of course, “Pinocchio”.
Tumblr media
In this hit series, Park Shin Hye transformed into female lead Choi In Ha – who suffers from the “Pinocchio syndrome” which causes her to hiccup whenever she lies. Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk assumed the role of Choi Dal Po, the “uncle” of In Ha. The couple’s desire to unveil the truth has driven them to become reporters together, leading to various hardships and pains.
Tumblr media
Early this year, Park Shin Hye tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend Choi Tae Joon, and recently gave birth to a son. Now, the actress is leading an extremely happy life where she’s pampered by her husband and mother-in-law, making netizens envious of her sweet married life. In addition, many are waiting for Park Shin Hye’s grand return in the future.
Lee Jong Suk – Han Hyo Joo
The final name on the list is an actress said to own “Korea’s most gorgeous smile” – Han Hyo Joo, who worked with Lee Jong Suk in the famous K-drama “W: Two World”. The series revolves around Kang Chul – a “comic character”, and Oh Yeon Joo – daughter to the creator of the webtoon that stars Kang Chul.
Tumblr media
With its unique plot, “W: Two Worlds” became one of the most phenomenal K-dramas in the year it aired. In addition, Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo’s performance in the show was also said to be one of the most iconic chemistry out there.
However, if the chemistry in “W: Two Worlds” is sweet, then real life interactions between Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo are even more scene-stealing. In fact, fans at the time shipped the couple extremely hard, as they were all swayed watching behind-the-scenes videos
So, above are some of Lee Jong Suk’s most outstanding on-screen partners. Hopefully, his collaboration with idol-actress Yoona will be just as explosive.
Yoona and Lee Jong Suk K-drama “Big Mouth” is airing every Friday and Saturday starting July 29th.

START-UP // KDRAMA DİZİ YORUMU
UYARI : Yazılar genel olarak spoiler içerebilir. İçermeyedebilir.
İmdb: 8 Benim puanım: 8
Drama: Start-Up Hangul: 스타트업 Director: Oh Choong-Hwan Writer: Park Hye-Ryun Date: 2020 Language: Korean Country: South Korea Cast: Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-Hyuk, Kim Sun-Ho, Kang Han-Na, Kim Joo-Hun
“The Bride of Habaek” dizisinde biraz ısınır gibi oldum.

hey there! mw fcs for the leader of selene??
Since Selene has leaned into a more confident concept since their inception, I tend to imagine them as having face claims that match that! As a smaller group in size as well as a senior group, I also tend to imagine them having more striking, individualistic visuals. Here are some suggestions for face claims I feel fit that description that are within the leader’s playable age range (not including EXID, Mamamoo, or Brown Eyed Girls, or Miss A members):
Actor and former Rainbow member Kim Jaekyung, actor and former After School member Lee Jooyeon, Stephanie Young Hwang (Tiffany Young) or Choi Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation, soloist Jang Dahye (Heize), Yoon Bomi of APink, Kang Jihyun (Soyou) of Sistar, Nam Yujeong or Kim Minyoung of Brave Girls, actor and Dal Shabet member Bae Woohee, and Kim Ahyoung (Yura) of Girl’s Day.
If you have a different vision for that particular role, that’s great as well, so I’d be equally happy to see someone not listed in my suggestions!

OK. I didn’t know what that anon meant when they said there was a debate about Start Up so I went through the tags because I was curious and now I see what they meant.
I’m only on episode 10 so obviously things are subject to change but what I will say is this:
1. I absolutely 100% think the triangle is unnecessary, I don’t believe that Ji-pyeong would have feelings for Dal-mi, which I’ve already mentioned in another post but I don’t think it’s accurate to say that the drama has become about that love triangle and for me anyway, the fact that it isn’t central is the reason why I can continue to watch the episodes. What’s central is Won-Deok’s relationship to Dal-mi, Ji-pyeong and Do-san respectively and how she’s effectively all of their grandmother, she is the heart of the drama to the point that the actual start-up that acts as a background to the characters revolves around her and her impending blindness.
I would also say that just beneath Grandma being central, it’s about Do-san and Dal-mi’s respective emotional arcs (rather than their romance) and then In-jae’s emotional arc and plot line.
Now perhaps the love triangle has become Ji-pyeong’s plot line, that is what he acts and reacts to but his story - his emotional narrative - while attached to Dal-mi isn’t really tied up in her, it’s entwined with Do-san and it’s entwined with Grandma, we see him be a mentor more to Do-san than Dal-mi, we see him struggle with the dichotomy of being a “good boy” and selfish with Grandma, really the triangle is more a by-product to this and something for him to do rather than something that is central to his character. And this is also why I’m also like, why is the triangle even here when the writing seems to be as disinterested in it as I am?
2. Ji-pyeong as a mentor. I don’t know, I’ve had a few mentors in my day, I’ve had ones who were “nice” soft-spoken and virtually useless, I’ve had ones who were blunt and verging on hurtful because of their unapologetic honesty and lack of cushioning but effective and accurate, and I’ve had ones who were simply nasty and nearly destroyed my self-esteem.
I see Ji-pyeong as the second. His analogy about Samsan Tech not being the car investors will ride but the one he genuinely wants to which is why he wants to know about the lining and the tires etc. is one I think he constantly proves right by giving them accurate, straightforward, detailed advice and there have been times when he has been coy or not as forthcoming in his criticisms and Dal-mi has told him to give it to him straight. This isn’t to say that the people who find him rude are wrong in thinking this because to them, he is rude but I don’t find him unduly nasty, more like aggressively pragmatic,
Anyway, just my thoughts!

What I want more of in Start-Up:
The person who’s perspective we’ve been losing in these later episodes. The one who’s decisions, at least some, make little to no sense recently because we really have no idea what’s going on in their head because we don’t spend near enough time sitting with them. Someone who has taken a backseat to two dumb babies because the showrunners seem more invested in their stories, even though they both wouldn’t even matter without this person. The “main character” of the whole show:
SEO DAL MI
Let’s be honest, this has been the Do-San and Ji-Pyeong show from the very beginning and they’ve been pushing her aside more and more as time goes on.
Pour one out for Seo Dal Mi. Another great character stuck with bad writers.
I vote we get rid of all the men and spend the rest of the show with her, In-Jae, Sa-Ha, and the grandmother. The men are being carried on the backs of these amazing women, who accept it quietly and gracefully while these men pitch hissy fits at the slightest change in the wind.
