The archer's head whips around as he hears two words in a phrase that may as well be cursed in this line of business. A hand reaches up to rub at the bottom of his left eat lobe, even touching to the mold in ear almost wondering it something was wrong. It's all for that dramatic flare that only an ex-carnie was capable of. ❝ You mind saying that again? ❞

Spider-man defintiely uttered something wrong that he shouldn't have. Hopefully, he was getting that hint based on his reaction alone. Even if he was, Clint's going to egg on until he fully caught his drift. On top of that it was probably Hawkeye's duty to teach the younger heroes the way of the land or whatever bullshit.

And for the final and three act, a third finger is raised up. Clint wiggles them for extra effect. ❝ Most importantly, when with aa Hawkeye. Hawkeyes don't plan. We simply do and we've never missed. ❞ That's not as true as he makes it sounds, but his plan here was to mess with the kid just a little. Although a lot of times, Clint's plans didd have to be reworked on the fly a lot.

Clint froze at the statement, his heard dropping to the floor as the statement made him go over the moment he watched her fall in his head. In his head he knew it wasn't true, he'd fought as hard as he could to stop her from being the one to die. But that didn't mean that his heart knew that, all his heart knew was that there was a hole there now that he didn't know how to fill. "I know." Because if he didn't love her as much as he did, she would still be alive. If he had been better? She would still be alive.
