swan lake — sejanus plinth
sejanus harbours an aching crush for you, a head-in-the-clouds, daydreamer, covey girl from district 12. he’s determined to show you how he feels before you get swept up by some other guy, though it’s difficult when your head is seemingly stuck in the clouds. requested here
note: um hiii my hunger games obsession (and therefore sejanus obsession) is back after finishing sotr… this fic is for me and the 3 other sejanus fans on here (the rest of you come out of hiding please)
peacekeeper!sejanus x covey!reader, 1.5k words
Sejanus has been about as obvious as a guy can be about his feelings for you, and still, you’re yet to catch on. It’s not that you’re dumb. If anything, you’re a lot smarter than him. You write music like nothing else he’s ever heard, like sunlight spun into lyrics, and half of the words you use in them he doesn’t even understand.
As smart as you are, you’ve constantly got your head in the clouds. You’re not a ditz, but you’re always daydreaming about something or other, and you don’t tend to come down from the clouds often. Because of this, you’ve been completely oblivious to his advances.
You don’t seem to notice that he’s flirting when he does, and though you’ve accepted his flowers and pretty hair ribbons with a bashful smile, he’s seen you give the same smile to guys at the Hob after one of your performances with the Covey band.
Despite himself, Sejanus has continued to try. Today he’s managed to get the morning off from his Peacekeeper duties, and he’s not going to waste it. He’s already been to the markets to spend most of his money for the week on something for you. He knows the path to your meadow like the back of his hand. It’s not far from your place, your Covey don’t like you to stray too far.
You’re exactly where he’s expecting you to be when he gets there. Right at the edge of the pond, knee deep in the tall grass, squatting to feed the ducks. They’ve just had ducklings about a week ago, and you’re enamoured by them.
“Don’t be frightened, little ducks,” you’re saying in your lovely soft voice, as Sejanus approaches from behind. He tries to be quiet, so as not to startle you or your gaggle of ducks. There’s two adult ones, and four tiny fluffy ones, all crowded around your hand, which is filled with what looks like bits of stale cracker.
As Sejanus gets closer, he accidentally steps on a branch and it snaps, breaking the silence. One of the adult ducks spots him, gives a loud quack, and they all take off across the pond, the little ones in single file following their parents.
Whoops, Sejanus thinks.
“Hello, Sejanus,” you say knowingly, without turning round. Sejanus has no idea how you know it’s him, but he can’t say he’s surprised.
He watches as you pocket the remains of your crackers and dust your hands off on your flowy skirt, then turn around to face him.
“You scared my ducks,” you say, giving him an indignant look.
He’s well aware. “Sorry. I don’t think they like me.”
You shrug, then lift your skirt, the bottom hem stained with mud, and start wading through the grass towards him. “They would if you sang to them,” you say, like it’s obvious.
Sejanus highly doubts that. “Do you think so?” He asks, indulging you.
“Worked for me,” you say simply, coming to a stop right in front of him. You’re rather close — you tend to do that. He knows you’d give him his space if he cared, but he doesn’t.
“That’s ‘cos you sound like an angel, sweetheart,” he tells you. He’s not sugar-coating it. You really do.
You beam. “Well thanks, handsome,” you say, swaying happily on the spot, your skirts swishing. “What you got there?”
You point to his pocket, where he’s got his hand shoved, keeping your gift out of view.
“It’s a surprise,” he says, dipping his head down towards yours like you’re sharing a secret.
You hum, and lift your chin a bit, like you’re meeting him in the middle. You seem to do it without noticing.
“For me?” You ask hopefully.
Who else? Sejanus thinks. “Maybe,” he says conspiratorially. “You wanna see it?”
You nod eagerly.
“Alright,” he says. “Close your eyes, pretty.”
You do as you’re told, letting your eyes slip shut. Sejanus takes a moment to admire you, your hair tied back from your face with a cream coloured ribbon, your dewy skin, and the way the sun dips you in gold. You’re the prettiest thing he’s ever seen.
“Put your hands out,” he says. You obey.
Sejanus pulls his hand out of his pocket and places a small box wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine in your cupped hands. Your shoulders go up excitedly.
“Okay, you can open ‘em,” he says.
Your eyes fly open and land on the box. “It is really for me?” You ask, practically buzzing, and lift your eyes to meet his.
There’s a look in your eyes that Sejanus doesn’t quite understand, but it makes him nervous anyway. It’s quite often that you make him nervous seemingly without even trying.
He rubs the back of his neck. “Well, yeah,” he says. “‘Course it is. Open it, yeah?”
“Okay,” you say.
Sejanus watches as you open his gift with so much care you’d think he’d spent millions on it. You untie the twine, and that goes into your pocket, along with the brown paper wrapping. Sejanus holds his breath as you lift the lid of the box to reveal a silver heart pendant, engraved with a swan. Your favourite bird.
You go dead silent for a long moment. Sejanus wonders if you hate it.
“Sejanus…” you whisper. You pull the pendant from the box and brush your thumb over the engraved swan, as gentle as if it were a real one. For once, you seem lost for words.
“They didn’t have any chain,” Sejanus explains quickly. “But I thought you could tie it with one of your ribbons. Do you … like it?”
You lift your head, blinking rather rapidly. Sejanus realises with horror that your eyes are shining with tears.
“It’s beautiful,” you say. “I love it.”
Your bottom lip wobbles. Sejanus panics and grabs you.
“Don’t cry,” he says frantically. He wraps his arms around you and pulls you into him. The box digs into his ribs and you’ve made a fist around the pendant, your knuckles pressing into his chest.
“Sorry,” you gasp.
Sejanus frowns. He’s happy you like the gift but hates to see you cry. After a moment you come out, pulling your face away from his chest, freeing one hand to scrub at your damp cheeks. You haven’t cried much, only a few tears. You blink up at him, a bit like a doe.
“Sorry,” you say again. “I don’t mean to, but I always cry when I see something beautiful.”
You open up your palm and gaze at the pendant again, as if checking it’s real. Sejanus waits for you to say something else but you don’t.
“So you like it?” He asks tentatively.
You laugh, and it sounds as pretty and as light as birdsong. “Yes. I love it, it’s perfect.”
You squeeze your fist back around the pendant and hold it to your heart. Then you lift your eyes to Sejanus’, giving him this look that makes his heart race.
“Thank you, Sejanus,” you say softly, reverently almost, like he’s one of your wild ducks.
Sejanus feels flowers blooming in his chest as if you’ve put them there and nurtured them. He’s about to wrap you up in his arms again when you say,
“Do you think I could give you something, too?” In this lilting, hopeful tone.
Sejanus blinks. “Yeah, sure, honey.” He can’t imagine what, but you tend to carry a lot of miscellaneous things you’ve foraged in your pockets. A pretty rock, maybe?
“Okay.” You sound almost shy, which is completely new, and trips Sejanus up a bit. He wonders what on earth it is that you’re about to give him. “Close your eyes, then.”
Sejanus does as he’s told. He hears you rustling around in your pocket for a second, before he feels you step closer, the toes of your boots touching his. He smells all your smells, that sweet flowery scent you seem to live in a cloud of, plus the warm vanilla in your hair. Then come your hands, both palms flat on his chest.
“Stay still,” you whisper, and Sejanus startles at how close you sound, your breath actually brushing his lips.
He realises what you’re about to do a second before you do it. Your hands press to his chest for stability and then your mouth lands on his, soft and gentle, but earnest all the same. You kiss him gently, shyly, but with so much warmth it tingles, and you taste like sugar. Sejanus grabs you, hands hot on your waist, and kisses you back.
He forces himself to exercise a bit of restraint so as not to scare you off after the first kiss. When you pull away, you’re flushed, and you won’t look him in the eye, though he thanks you and gives you another kiss on your warm cheek.
You press your palm to the spot he’s kissed, looking as flustered as he’s ever seen you. He’s been a fool, Sejanus realises. You weren’t as oblivious as he thought you were, after all.

Submastober Day 12!
Inspiration: There's an older OC-tober prompt-list here that I am using.
Title: On the Road to Sinnoh Prompt: Beginning Word count: 844 Synopsis: Ingo has disappeared and Emmet is struggling to know where to start.
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
When Ingo first disappeared, Emmet found himself struggling to know where to start. Gear Station was only so big, only had so many service tunnels that his twin could have accidentally stumbled into. They only had so many trains to board, which only had so many cars. There were only so many offices, and Ingo had the keys to all of them, but so did Emmet.
Searching within the Subway was easy - Emmet had done routine patrols ever since he started his career at Gear Station. Back when he and Ingo were just Agents themselves, confined within the rules of needing to patrol with a coworker, they had memorized every route within their first month. Even now, their familiarity allowed them to catch the slightest anomalies.
With all locations within Gear Station exhausted (he just had to check about fifteen times, maybe he'd missed Ingo, maybe they were just a few paces apart, maybe, maybe maybe…!), figuring out how to spread out from there was difficult bordering on impossible. Sure, Emmet knew his way around Nimbasa City, various routes to get from their home to work or other destinations he favored. But to search for someone outside of the Subway-! There were innumerable places to hide someone away (for Ingo definitely didn't leave on his own, Emmet was certain of it), and that wasn't even beginning to consider taking someone out of the city.
All of the Agents had supported Emmet the best they could, either covering duties usually performed by Ingo or fielding questions about the disappearance with more tact than Emmet could often manage. Emmet had made it known on more than one occasion that he didn't know what happened, otherwise Ingo would be back already. Thankfully, Cloud and Ramses had been within earshot and quickly swooped in to soothe the situation; after the first time, it seemed that at least one of them were nearby Emmet whenever possible. Isadore scoured various locations in the city during his own time, bringing Emmet back his unofficial reports on days where they shared shifts. Jackie and Furze brought food into work in an attempt to help Emmet remember to eat. Cameron went out and found research materials whenever Emmet asked (and sometimes he brought back treats that he knew Emmet adored in attempts to raise his spirits).
Emmet was deeply grateful to them all, but felt day after day that he was stuck in neutral. Although he worked his hardest to figure out where Ingo was, he was unable to make any meaningful progress.
Emmet was deeply grateful to them all, but felt day after day that he was stuck in neutral. Although he worked his hardest to figure out where Ingo was, he was unable to make any meaningful progress. If only he could find a way to get started on a route that didn't have a dead end. Despite all of the support he was given by his comrades, he felt as though his search hadn't truly started.
However, one day when he was trudging home completely dispirited, something odd caught his eye. Hanging in one of the large store windows along his route home was a marketing poster for an exhibition in the Sinnoh Region. Seeing advertising was nothing new in many parts of Nimbasa City, but what struck him as off was that Sinnoh was extremely distant from the City. This wasn't something like travelling to visit Clay; no, this was a place that they'd never even dreamed of reaching with their Subway, despite how much they wished to expand.
Why, then, was it here in Nimbasa City? Curious, Emmet stepped closer to the window, craning his neck back so that he could inspect the details of the poster. Something about it called to him, even though it seemed to be about the history of the region, and such things had never appealed to him before. If it had been about trains? That would be a completely different story.
Still feeling odd, he peeled himself away from the poster and continued his trek home. But each day he went to work, the poster was still there in the window, as if waiting for him to make some sort of connection. And every day, both going to and coming from work, Emmet would stop and stare at the poster, desperately trying to decipher what it was trying to tell him (beyond what was obviously printed on the poster.)
Finally, he decided that he need to go to the exhibit. He had no idea how long this trip would last him, so he packed his bags for three weeks, certain that he could just gather more supplies when he arrived if necessary. He left the Subway in the temporary care of the Agents with Cloud in the lead; if the Mayor asked where Emmet went, they were told to tell them “I am Emmet. I am on Vacation.”
As he set out from home, Chandelure refusing to stay at Elesa's, Emmet felt like his journey to find Ingo had finally begun.

San Antonio Website Hosting: Finding the Right Solution for Your Business
In today’s digital landscape, having a reliable web hosting provider is as crucial as a compelling website design. Whether you’re launching a personal blog, running a small business, or managing a large-scale enterprise in San Antonio, the choice of a hosting provider can make or break your online presence. For businesses in San Antonio, website hosting tailored to the needs of the local market can offer unique advantages. Here’s a comprehensive guide to understanding and selecting the best website hosting solutions in San Antonio.
What Is Website Hosting and Why Does It Matter?
Website hosting is the service that allows your website to be accessible on the internet. It involves storing your website’s files, databases, and other essential resources on a server that delivers them to users when they type your domain name into their browser.
Key factors such as uptime, speed, and security depend heavily on the hosting provider. Without reliable hosting, even the most well-designed website can fail to perform, leading to lost traffic, reduced credibility, and lower search engine rankings.
San Antonio’s Unique Needs for Website Hosting
San Antonio is a growing hub for businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs. The city’s vibrant economy and diverse industries demand hosting solutions that cater to various needs:
Local SEO Benefits: Hosting your website on servers based in or near San Antonio can improve website load times for local users, boosting your local search rankings.
Customer Support: Local hosting providers often offer faster and more personalized support, making it easier to resolve technical issues quickly.
Community-Centric Services: San Antonio businesses often benefit from hosting providers that understand the local market and tailor their offerings to the unique challenges faced by businesses in the area.
Types of Website Hosting Available in San Antonio
Shared Hosting
For small businesses or personal websites with limited traffic, shared hosting is a cost-effective option. Multiple websites share the same server resources, making it affordable but potentially slower during high-traffic periods.
VPS Hosting
Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting offers a middle ground between shared and dedicated hosting. Your website gets its own partition on a shared server, providing better performance and more customization options.
Dedicated Hosting
This option gives you an entire server dedicated to your website. It’s ideal for high-traffic sites or those needing advanced security and performance features.
Cloud Hosting
Cloud hosting uses a network of servers to ensure high availability and scalability. It’s a flexible option for businesses expecting fluctuating traffic.
Managed Hosting
For those without technical expertise, managed hosting takes care of server management, updates, and backups, allowing you to focus on your business instead of technical maintenance.
Factors to Consider When Choosing Website Hosting in San Antonio
Performance and Uptime
Ensure your hosting provider offers at least 99.9% uptime to keep your website accessible around the clock. Fast loading times are critical for user experience and SEO rankings.
Security Features
Look for hosting providers that offer robust security measures, including SSL certificates, firewalls, DDoS protection, and regular backups.
Scalability
Your hosting solution should be able to grow with your business. Choose a provider that offers flexible plans to accommodate increased traffic and resources as needed.
Customer Support
24/7 customer support with knowledgeable staff is invaluable for resolving technical issues promptly. Many San Antonio-based hosting companies offer localized support to cater to their clients better.
Cost and Value
While affordability is important, don’t compromise on essential features. Compare the cost with the value offered, including storage, bandwidth, and additional tools like website builders or marketing integrations.
How Local Hosting Supports San Antonio Businesses
Local hosting providers understand the pulse of the San Antonio market. They can offer tailored solutions for restaurants, retail stores, service providers, and tech startups. By prioritizing local needs, such providers enable businesses to thrive in a competitive digital landscape.
Tips for Maintaining Your Hosted Website
Regular Backups: Protect your data by ensuring automatic and manual backups are part of your hosting plan.
Monitor Performance: Use tools to analyze website speed and resolve bottlenecks.
Stay Updated: Keep your website software, plugins, and security features up to date to prevent vulnerabilities.
Conclusion
Choosing the right website hosting provider in San Antonio is a critical step toward building a successful online presence. From understanding the local market to evaluating hosting types and features, there are numerous factors to consider. By selecting a reliable provider and maintaining your hosted website effectively, you can ensure your business stands out in San Antonio’s competitive digital landscape.
Whether you’re launching a new venture or upgrading your current hosting solution, San Antonio offers a wealth of hosting options to meet your unique needs. Make the smart choice today to power your online success!

The Role of Data Analytics Consulting in Business Growth
Professional data analysts guide corporate clients in modifying operations, attracting customers, and solving business problems. Therefore, they can assist brands in increasing operational efficiency for better profit margins and crafting exceptional growth strategies. At the same time, integrating new tech advancements like large language models (LLMs) empowers analytics consultants to process qualitative data for comprehensive insights. This post will elaborate on the crucial role of data analytics consulting in business growth and competitive resilience.
What is Data Analytics?
Data analytics employs computer-aided statistical models to discover reliable industry trends, competitor tactics, and consumer insights. Its input datasets comprise consumer purchase history, supply chain details, and regional market entry challenges.
A consulting analyst might utilize proprietary and open-source programs to develop statistical models and flexible reports to deliver insights based on clients’ instructions. Therefore, experts in data analytics consulting services will find the best approach to cost reduction without losing data integrity. They might also help share the digital governance liabilities amid the rise of privacy and investor confidentiality regulations.
Understanding the Role of Data Analytics Consulting in Business Growth
1| Creating a Data Strategy to Accomplish Business Goals
Relevant data is essential for responsible decision-making, clever milestone determination, and strategy innovation. Data analytics allows organizations to check how a data point relates to its long-term vision and performance.
For instance, prioritizing tangible results helps make reports more impactful. Eliminating data points that do not align with business goals can help reduce resource consumption for storage and visualization. After all, streamlined computing is a prerequisite for operational efficiency.
2| Forecasting Scenarios for Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Data analysts interpolate data points to estimate the missing values in a database. Likewise, they leverage machine learning (ML) models to offer predictive analytics consulting services for revenue, risk, and industry projections.
Related forecasting report creation programs require powerful computing hardware. Otherwise, enterprises use cloud platforms for scalability and expert-assisted tech maintenance. Letting a data analyst team oversee these developments will also enable brands to benefit from outsider perspectives during risk or resilience management.
3| Making Reports More User-Friendly with Precise Performance Insights
Complex and over-tabulated reports make employees spend more time performing standard tasks like sharing a record or comparing identical series. Data analytics consultants can revise reporting methods and presentation styles to boost the ease of navigation. They will guide your team in efficiently using recognized and emerging analytical tools.
Consultants must also demonstrate command over performance metrics monitoring through straightforward, real-time updates. When they quickly capture anomalies, promptly tracing and rectifying inefficiencies becomes possible.
3| Gathering Relevant Intelligence
Data quality managers consider relevance to business objectives essential for responsible decision-making and preventing wasteful resource usage. Therefore, experienced data analytics firms refrain from employing data mining methods without adequate programming for relevance-based filtering.
When you store irrelevant business intelligence (BI), you increase the risk of slowing data sorting and query-led quick retrieval. After all, your IT resources must scan vast datasets before providing the best output or insight. The related role of analytics consulting in business growth encompasses devising methods to restrict irrelevant BI processing.
4| Finding Unique Customer Experience Insights
Several consultants offer customer analytics comprising engagement metrics and customer experience (CX) enhancement ideas. They can also evaluate whether a customer will help increase brand awareness through word-of-mouth promotions.
Companies can leverage heatmaps and website engagement metrics to ascertain user interactions and intents. For instance, many consumers prefer surfing the web and reviewing businesses’ online presence for informational and commercial intent. You want to customize landing pages to match the intent and design programs based on frequent usage for CX improvements. Telemetry and usage analytics specialists will help your designers test and optimize the required elements.
5| Helping Manage Workers and Data Culture
Human resource insights describing how employees contribute to organizational initiatives allow managers to reward the top performers. Simultaneously, they can determine which employees need further guidance on efficient workflows and team coordination.
Examining employee performance through ML-assisted analytics necessitates secure data pipelines because employees’ personally identifiable information (PII) also attracts cyber threats. Consider identity theft attackers stealing and forging virtual IDs to hijack enterprise IT systems for corporate espionage.
Therefore, you are better off collaborating with established human resource analysts and data culture veterans. They can facilitate comprehensive insights without hurting your company’s governance standards.
6| Accelerating Innovation and Monitoring Patents
A company’s intellectual property (IP) rights demonstrate its domain expertise and unlock additional revenue through licensing or sublicensing regimes. However, as markets mature, multiple brands will inevitably promise identical or commoditized offerings. This situation makes it harder to differentiate these brands based on standard specifications.
Innovation engineering, a discipline inspired by the systems approach for hybrid tech tools, is essential to making your branded offerings attract investments and demand. At the same time, data analytics consulting is indispensable for uncovering innovation opportunities to ensure clients’ business growth. It reduces the time spent tracking registered patents and predicting legal conflicts in securing IP rights.
The Methods in Data Analytics for Steady Business Growth
Time series analysis describes a business’s past performance and forecasts future growth potential. Furthermore, you can apply it to market intelligence, competitor insights, and investor relations.
Regression analysis establishes or investigates the relationship between dependent and independent variables to create statistical models. These models can later help explore specific predictions.
Cluster analysis often groups data points based on similar attributes to streamline conditional sorting, visualization, prioritization, and multi-model methods.
Meanwhile, factor analysis emphasized data reduction to highlight latent variables. These variables explain the underlying data structure, informing data leaders’ strategies for efficient modeling.
Predictive and prescriptive analyses deliver scenario simulations. You want to define constraints related to favorable and unfavorable decision outcomes. Next, exploring the risk-reward aspects will help discard potentially harmful decisions or strategies. Prescriptive methods give risk mitigation ideas concerning internal and external threats.
Conclusion
Data-centric business growth depends on responsible data source selection, safe data storage, fast validation, and short time-to-insight (TTI). Accordingly, professional data analysts recognize these requirements, sharpening their skills and augmenting their toolkits to deliver smart insights and meet client expectations.
A supply chain analytics expert will help reduce the delays between material acquisition, production, inventory replenishment, remote delivery, and final distribution. At the same time, a human resource analyst categorizes employees and suppliers based on their key performance indicators (KPIs). A financial analyst can provide practical cost reduction recommendations, and a risk analyst will devise resilience-ensuring mitigation strategies.
As a result, leaders must identify what type of data analytics consulting role will let them accomplish business growth objectives for the given quarter. Do they want to solve a problem involving in-house operations or plan to enter a new market? Similar considerations will impact how you select analytics partners and tools. This process might overwhelm you, indicating a need for experts’ oversight from the beginning till the project completion.

Kamatera Review – The Best Scalable Cloud Host Yet?
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/kamatera-review-the-best-scalable-cloud-host-yet/
Kamatera Review – The Best Scalable Cloud Host Yet?
This Kamatera review will help you decide whether the web host is the best option for you!
Being able to scale your resource demand effortlessly as your website grows… paying only for the resources you use… no-single-point-of-failure security guarantee… what’s not to love about cloud hosting?
As a web hosting consultant I have helped hundreds of my clients choose the best web hosts to migrate their websites to – and many times, they were also upgrading from a shared or VPS plan to cloud hosting. Kamatera has always been high up in the list of options when we were considering cloud hosts, so I decided to check out their service and take you along.
In the rest of this Kamatera review, I’ll discuss all the web host’s plans, features you can expect to enjoy, how much you should budget, real-time performance figures, their dedication to customer support, and other important factors you should look out for.
Kamatera Review
Founded in 1995, Kamatera is no new kid on the block. They offer generic cloud hosting and every other cloud hosting hybrid you can think of – from managed and unmanaged cloud servers to virtual private cloud (VPC) services and cloud VPS hosting. They also offer reseller hosting for mini hosting companies and web professionals who want to cross-sell this with their core services.
I get it. The differences between their virtual private cloud hosting and cloud VPS hosting can be subtle but don’t worry we’ll discuss them in detail.
Kamatera’s cloud hosting plans are incredibly affordable too. I also like that on all their core plans, you can choose between ready-made packages or customize your plan yourself by setting the number of CPUs, memory (RAM), traffic, storage, and bandwidth. Kamatera also allows you to choose where you want your servers to be located.
Kamatera has been reviewed by 200 users on TrustPilot and users give them a rather decent 3.2 stars. Their positive reviews are from users praising how easy it to set up a server, transparent pricing, and uncommon level of support.
Kamatera Ratings – My Personal Take
It’s been a tradition for me to always give my personal ratings of each host I recommend – and Kamatera will be no different. there’s really no guarantee you can trust the reviews that many web hosts publish on their websites. Plus many businesses doctor reviews on popular platforms like TrustPilot.
The best approach to know exactly how great a web host’s services are? A non-biased overall rating of the web host through expert eyes.
Considering Kamatera’s key features and their real-life performance, here’s how I’d rate the web host on a scale of 1-5. Note that these scores are not static and only reflect their offerings at the time of this writing:
Quality My rating Why I gave this score Features and specs 5.0 Exceptional scalability, a cloud firewall, load balancing tech, and their specialized disaster recovery service makes Kamatera one of the most reliable cloud hosts on the market. They get a resounding 5.0 stars here. Pricing 4.9 Starting at $4/month for their cloud servers, Kamatera’s services are also undoubtedly some of the cheapest on the market. Many VPS plans from other hosting providers even cost more. Performance stats 4.7 My personal tests of Kamatera’s servers recorded a response time of 270 ms. That’s really decent and up there, even though a good number of hosts still perform better so they get a 4.7 in this category. Ease of use 4.0 One of the chief complaints users filed about Kamatera was how it logged you out repeatedly with an IP error message and I experienced this first-hand. Asides that, Kamatera makes it easy to manage your website backend using cPanel, Plesk, Vesta, and CyberPanel. I give them a 4.0 here Customer support guarantee 4.5 Several call lines for their different support portals, email addresses, ticketing, and a knowledgebase are how Kamatera caters to its users’ inquiries. However, I’d have loved to see a live chat option for real-time support. I give them a 4.5 here.
Kamatera Hosting Plans and Prices – 2024
Kamatera offers cloud servers, managed cloud services, virtual private cloud hosting, cloud VPS hosting, and reseller hosting. One small caveat you need to know about Kamatera’s plans is they don’t have a money back guarantee and even if you cancel your plans within the first month, they still charge you the full month’s fee.
You can pay for any Kamatera hosting plan you’ve decided on using your credit card or via Paypal.
Kamatera cloud servers
Kamatera ‘Simple’ cloud hosting plans come in three tiers and allow you to choose your server location and server specs – Windows, Linux, or SSD-optimized.
These plans start at $4/month and you get between 1-2 vCPUs, 1-2 GB RAM of memory, 20-30 GB SSD storage, and 5TB of data transfer on all plans. I love just how much server flexibility you get with Kamatera’s hosting.
Custom cloud servers on Kamatera
What’s more? Kamatera also allows you to configure your hosting plan – you can choose the number of processors you want, where you want your data centers to be located, the amount of memory you need, amount of storage, your OS, amount of traffic, and number of IPs. You also get to decide whether you want to pay for their services per month or per hour. Amazing!
Who this is for:
Kamatera’s cloud servers are for businesses that need to be able to add or remove hosting resources when necessary. With these plans, you can manage your spending exceptionally and don’t have to pay for infrastructure you may not use. Monthly payment drives home your control over what you spend even further.
Kamatera’s managed cloud hosting
Pro Managed
Features – OS monitoring, firewall & networking management, DNS setup, server resources performance metrics, apps installation and configuration, 24/7 NOC support, dedicated account manager on plans with 10+ servers.
Price – $50/month
Premium Managed
Features – Everything in Pro Managed plus custom and application monitoring, database high availability setup, application/service updates, quicker customer agent response times, and dedicated account managers on all plans.
Price – $150/month
Who this is for:
Kamatera’s managed cloud hosting plans take the hassle of managing the technical aspect of your cloud servers out of your hands. From monitoring and setup, to technical support, reporting, and application management, the host does these critical processes for you. What’s more? Kamatera also dedicates a particular human support agent to you who’ll be in charge of your account and you can count on to respond to any inquiries you might have.
Don’t know much about the server-side of websites? Kamatera’s managed cloud hosting plans might just be for you.
Kamatera’s virtual private cloud hosting
Kamatera’s virtual private cloud (VPC) packages are exactly identical to their cloud server plans on both the ‘Simple’ and ‘Customized’ fronts. They are also priced similarly and give you the same features.
Kamatera’s reseller hosting plans
Want to create your own web hosting business or are you a web dev, IT guy, or marketing professional looking to sell web hosting with your core services as a comprehensive package to your clients? Kamatera’s reseller hosting plans are just for you.
Here are some of the benefits you get to enjoy:
Managed setup
With Kamatera’s reseller hosting, their agents support you through setting up your servers and handling client requests.
Outsourced support
You have access to Kamatera’s support team to service your clients whenever they have inquiries.
Less as you grow
The more customers you get, the more discounts you get and the less you have to pay, meaning more profitability for your business.
Ready to get started with Kamatera’s reseller hosting? You’ll need to contact their sales department by creating a support ticket:
Who this is for:
Selling web hosting is one of the best ways to scale your business as a web dev, marketer, or IT professional. You can offer these as part of a comprehensive package and your clients are more likely to buy from you since they already buy your core services from you.
And for web-hosting-only businesses, you can rest assured that you have a business that’s evergreen. Websites will always need website hosting to stay online and it’s an excellent recurring revenue model.
Kamatera Features
Here’s an overview of some of Kamatera’s main features:
SSD storage
Custom hosting plans
Superior load balancing technology
High-performance block storage
Cloud firewall
Transparent pricing
Kamatera, as a cloud-only host, provides premium features that emphasize superior performance and security with its packages.
But some of its more unique features are the load balancers that instantly distribute workloads across a network of servers, ensuring high speeds and quick response times.
Kamatera’s block storage technology emulates a virtual private disk for your cloud plans and ensures there’s no single point of failure. It also ensures extremely low latency (or very quick response times and data transfer) further improving the performance of your website.
Kamatera Performance Tests
Your web host’s servers are your website home and how they perform are exactly how your website will perform. Some important factors to consider when choosing a hosting provider like Kamatera are the server response speeds and uptime.
The web host’s server speed is a measure of how quickly their servers respond and send back your website data to a visitor. On the other hand, the uptime measures the availability of their servers – i.e how much of the time their servers are online to serve up your website’s content to visitors.
The quicker the server speeds are, the less time it will take for your website to load. And the higher the uptime, the more reliable your website will be and you won’t risk losing traffic just because your website was down.
To measure Kamatera’s speed and uptime, I tested a website hosted on their platform and these were the results I got:
Kamatera’s servers started sending the first byte of data back in 276 ms. Quite impressive, even though I still expected better as some high performers respond in sub 100ms.
For the uptime, the website I tested has been available 100% of the time over the last 30 days:
This confirms their 99.9% uptime guarantee!
Kamatera’s Customer Support
It’s easy for web hosts to promise heaven and earth but once many of them take your money, it’s cricket-y silence. Kamatera does well though in terms of customer support. You can reach out to their agents via:
Phone
Kamatera has phone lines for its sales and account managers, technical support, and billing departments.
Email
You can also reach out to Kamatera via email at [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected].
I tried reaching out to their technical support agents via email and got a response in a few hours – quite decent!
Support ticket
Create a support ticket to talk with an agent, fill in your details and phone, and write down your inquiry. Kamatera will reach out to you via email.
Knowledgebase
Simple and straight-to-the-point, Kamatera’s knowledgebase is just how I like it. The built-in search engine also makes it easy to find answers to questions around server setup and security.
Blog
And finally, Kamatera has an up-to-date blog with relevant posts on latest industry information for website and business owners.
Kamatera Security Features
If there’s one thing I like about Kamatera, it’s their security guarantee. First, is their native Cloud Firewall designed to protect your website from attacks while monitoring your servers in real time.
Kamatera’s Cloud Firewall allows you to set rules and filter data packets, exclusively authorizing the entry of certified and approved data packets to your servers. What’s more? The firewall can also function as a VPN giving you even more functionality!
Another core part of Kamatera’s security is the disaster recovery portal. Unforeseen events can impact your website severely. Kamatera’s disaster recovery provides backups, recovery, and failover systems to minimize service disruptions.
Your website’s database is archived at restore points for immediate recovery. And finally, Kamatera’s backup machines are automatically triggered in the event of a system failure to ensure your user experience is not affected.
Kamatera’s hosting plans also allow you to install a free Lets Encrypt SSL certificate, giving your website the padlock seal of trust in the eyes of search engines.
Kamatera User Friendliness – Ease of Use
How to register an account on Kamatera
Setting up an account on Kamatera is super easy. Simply select the plan you want and click on ‘Create server’. You’ll be redirected to the sign up page:
Fill in your email and choose a password you can remember easily – your password should contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, a number, and should be at least 8 characters long. Click on ‘Create Free Account’
You’ll receive a confirmation link in your email. Click on it and your account should be ready to go!
How to create a server on Kamatera
To create a new server on Kamatera, from your account dashboard, navigate to “My Cloud” on the left and under the dropdown options, select “Create New Server”
Next, select your preferred data center location and then the operating system you want on the server.
Once that’s done, choose the number of CPUs and specify your server specs – RAM and SSD storage amount.

Kamatera control panel
Kamatera doesn’t come with a custom control panel like some other high performing hosts – SiteGround, Hostinger, and A2Hosting – however, Kamatera gives you access to cPanel, Plesk, Vesta, and CyberPanel.
How to install WordPress on Kamatera
The swiftest way to deploy WordPress on Kamatera is via your control panel. Using cPanel as an example, we’ll use the Softaculous installer:
In your cPanel account, navigate to ‘Tools’ and click on ‘Softaculous Apps Installer’.
In the search engine, type in ‘WordPress’. Click ‘Install’ and then ‘Choose protocol’.
Next, choose the domain name you want WordPress installed on and configure the directory. If you’re not sure, just choose the default values and proceed.
Configure your ‘Site Name’ and ‘Site description’. Whatever you put here will be shown in the title bar of a website visitor’s browser.
Next, configure your ‘Admin Username’, ‘Admin password’, and ‘Admin Email’. These are the login details you will use to access your WordPress dashboard once it is installed.
Select the auto update boxes for WordPress, plugins, and themes.
Now configure where you want your website backups to be stored and check the ‘Automated backups’ so Softaculous makes backups of your website at specified intervals.
Review all the installation options and click ‘Install’. Voila!
Kamatera Server Footprint
If Kamatera had just one thing going for them, it’d be their continent-wide server footprint. Their servers are spread across dozens of data centers in Europe, the Americas, and Asia and several countries in between.
This guarantees exceptional website performance for businesses targeting audiences spread across the globe.
Conclusion – Should You Choose Kamatera?
Kamatera is a very decent dedicated cloud host and their performance and built-in features are no joke. I recommend Kamatera if you’re looking for affordable packages and have outgrown your shared/VPS plans.
Their block storage, load balancers, cloud firewall, and disaster recovery ensure your website performs exceptionally and is protected from bad actors.
My only fault with Kamatera would be their account creation process. Their IP address protocol system glitches often and may log you out for no reason at all.
