Top women in tennis say the sport is broken. This is the reason
For a decade, Tatiana Maria, a veteran German player, crammed herself into cramped hotel rooms with her husband/coach and children or used her own money to pay for bigger rooms as she traveled the world with her family. she can be a full-time mom and a professional tennis player. San Diego (pt. 4)
The tournament ended in much better fashion than it began. With my technical troubles at last disappearing in the rear-view mirror, I enjoyed a stress-free final day, which saw Barbora Krejcikova take on a combination of three different home favourites across the singles and doubles finals.
Her tussle with Sofia Kenin in the singles final was another edgy match, but it made for an absorbing deciding set. Tensions rose as the climax got closer, but it wasn't until 4-4 that the first break points of the set came; Kenin had converted all four of her previous chances during the match, but crucially couldn't take any of the four she had in that game! Krejcikova eventually escaped, and then punished Kenin in the cruellest fashion by breaking her in the following game to take the title.
After a short break, Babs returned with her doubles partner Katerina Siniakova in tow, and the #1 seeds did the business against Danielle Collins & Coco Vandeweghe. Collins & VDW are both seasoned pros, but this was the first time they'd played together, so to make it all the way to the final was an impressive achievement. It was also the last time they would play together, as Coco had already announced this would be her final appearance as a professional; she didn't quite get the picture-book ending, but she was afforded a short presentation at the end of the match to congratulate her on a successful career.
After a subpar week, at least I got a picture-book ending:

Jordan Thompson v Stefanos Tsitsipas Albeit considered an all-court player, things have not exactly clicked for Stefanos Tsitsipas at Wimbledon and his hurry to the fourth round in 2018 is as yet his best execution at the All England Club.
Be that as it may, preceding the Grand Slam occasion this year, Tsitsipas at long last gotten his lady grass-court title at the ATP Mallorca, smacking to the side any semblance of Marcos Giron and Roberto Bautista Agut while heading to brilliance.
What's more, subsequent to dispatching Alexander Ritschard in the principal round, Tsitsipas guaranteed it's "another beginning" for him at Wimbledon, where he can get the better of Jordan Thompson in the second round on Thursday.
All things considered, it may not be plain cruising for Tsitsipas, who made eight twofold blames in his opener and has dropped sets in three of his last four matches.
Australian Thompson is a substandard rival however he destroyed Roberto Carballes Baena 3-0 in his first-round match and can scratch a set off Tsitsipas in cycle two.
Bianca Andreescu v Elena Rybakina It is seeming to be a critical grass-court crusade for Canadian celebrity Bianca Andreescu and she can walk on at Wimbledon with triumph over Elena Rybakina.
Andreescu wrapped sprinter up to Caroline Garcia at the Bad Homburg Open in her last warm-up occasion before Wimbledon, having additionally made the last 16 in the Grass Court Championships Berlin recently.
Following those exhibitions with a straight-sets win over Emina Bektas, she looks an alternate player to when she crashed out in the principal round of Wimbledon last year and could take some halting.
Rybakina is in no way, shape or form at her most honed at the present time, yielding 11 games against CoCo Vandeweghe last break, and Andreescu merits a bet at a shade of chances on.
Magdalena Frech v Anna Karolina Schmiedlova Unseeded Pole Magdalena Frech has guaranteed two or three fair scalps previously during this grass-court season, expelling Qinwen Zhang in her opener at the Eastbourne International prior to recording a shock prevail upon 21st seed Camila Giorgi in the principal round at Wimbledon.
Also, the 24-year-old can legitimize bias in her second-round experience with Slovakian Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.
Schmiedlova was moved nearby Rebecca Peterson in her Wimbledon opener, losing the second set 6-0 in that match, and had no grass-court planning coming into the season's third Grand Slam.
Liam Broady v Diego Schwartzman English confident Liam Broady was taken to five sets by Lukas Klein in his most memorable coordinate at Wimbledon and his conflict with Diego Schwartzman on Thursday could likewise go all the way.
The conflict among Broady and Klein highlighted 53 games, while Broady and Schwartzman additionally clashed in the round of 64 at Wimbledon last year when the Argentinian in the end won 4-6 6-2 6-1 6-4.
This likewise has the makings of a titanic tussle and punters ought to think about sponsorship over 36.5 games.
